Gay July-7-21

It is 6:15 am right now.
Wanted to let you know we are ok as Elsa has left the area. I woke up at 12:48
am to a very strong wind and by 12:53 am it started quite down. Good news we
didn’t lose our electricity. The rest of the night was some wind and rain. By
5:30 am the wind and rain was over. As soon as we get some more daylight I will
be going out to see if we have any damage. I will be adding to this blog throughout
the day.
Update 7:15 am. I was out and check the house and didn’t see any damage. Had 3 inches of rain in the gauge. A lot of power outage along the coast.
I headed out early to see
if there was any storm damage. I check four other houses and didn’t find any
damage. I don’t think the wind was as bad as they had predicted. Cheri was busy
doing touch up painting and cleaning the living and dining room. I got the rest
of the door locks installed, some additional caulking, and hanging the blinds. At
11:30 we headed to Dade City for the Wednesday noon service. Pastor Randy’s
message was from Psalms 19. On the way home we stopped at Jersey Mike’s for a
sub sandwich to have for a late lunch. I also did some work outside and got our
generator started. I am going to work on getting the float charger installed on
the generator. Because of the late lunch we only had an English muffin with
peanut butter for our supper. We watched a movie and a couple of Cold Case
Files before calling it a night. Thank you God for time spent with you and
getting us through the storm without any damage.
