Gay Dec-16-10

Weather wise today was a very nice day with a high of 65 degrees, lots of sun and no wind. As far as the rest of the day it wasn’t the best day, a lot of things didn’t go right. The computer wouldn’t start up, I tired more than ten times to get it started and finally it came to life. Cheri didn’t receive her daily newspaper this morning and had to call for them to bring one. She didn’t receive it until 11:00 am. I was supposed to install a GPS on Gary’s motorcycle this morning and he didn’t show up so I did some cleaning on my motorcycle while I waited. Bud came by on his walk and wanted to know what was going on. I told him I was waiting for Gary to bring his motorcycle so I could install the GPS. Bud said he would stop by Gary’s and see what was up. A short time later Gary came with the motorcycle and said they were pouring concrete in his driveway and forgot to bring the motorcycle up. Gary left the bike and went back to supervise the concrete project. I got most of the GPS mounted and then had to go to the Napa store to get a fuse holder. I got very thing done and went to get a fuse and didn’t have one so it was another trip to the Napa store for a fuse. Gary was at our place when I got back. All I had left to do was put in the fuse and put the seat back on, good timing. After I got things cleaned up and went back inside Cheri said her sewing machine wasn’t working. She was sewing the binding on her quilts when it got jammed and wouldn’t work. I found that when she was sewing across a spot where there was an extra layer of material was when it jammed. It turned out that a set screw had come loose. I went to the tool box for my allen wrenches and I didn’t have one small enough. Our neighbor Lloyd flies model airplanes and figured that he might have one, well he wasn’t home so I headed down to the post office to get our mail. Lloyd was home when I got back and he had the allen wrench I needed for the sewing machine. So now I think everything is working again.
