Cheri worked all day on her quilt binding and making pillow cases to match the new quilt. She was still working on them when I got home from our 152 mile motorcycle ride. There were four of us on the ride today. We left at 10:00 am and headed to the Harley dealer in Clermont and then stopped for a bite of lunch at our usual stop (Burger King). Then we headed for the Harley dealer in Orlando. This is one we haven’t been to before. We couldn’t believe how many used and new bikes they had. I did buy an air baffle, oil filter wrench, oil filter oil catcher and spark plugs. We got home around 4:00 pm. This evening Paul and Bev picked us and we headed to Dade City to do the Church Street Christmas Walk. This is the 33rd year for the Church Street Christmas. It is a free three night event that attracts anywhere from 30,000 to 50,000 visitors. Police block off the street so you can walk right down the brick street. The street is lined with luminaries on both sides. There are a lot of 4 foot by 8 foot Christmas cards along the street and all kinds of decorations and lights. Plus all the churches are open with music and several groups along the street are playing and singing Christmas carols. There is also a live nativity scene. What a wonderful way to get into the Christmas spirit. Thanks to God for another wonderful day.
Jesus is the reason for the season.
