Gay Dec-20-10

We stopped by Paul and Bev’s this morning to talk about putting up his satellite dish. The last couple years he had been using the dish on his neighbor’s park model. Well the guy moved out and abandons his trailer. It was in bad shape so the park is moving it out. So now Paul has to find a spot to put up the dish. He has a lot of trees around and it may be a problem getting a shot at the satellite. Paul was going to look for a pole to mount the dish on. Cheri and I headed for Lakeland to drop off her sewing machine to be fixed. It was close to noon when we got done with that so we stopped to have Chinese for lunch. Then we headed for Dade City where I had a 1:30 pm appointment with the VA to fill out some paper work on my hearing. I dropped Cheri off at the quilt store which made her very happy. I figured I would be done within a half hour. The half hour turned into two hours. I pick up Cheri and we headed home. We stopped by Paul and Bev’s to see if Paul got the pole for the satellite dish which he did and Cheri wanted to show Bev the material she bought. Paul invited us over to play dominos this evening. We got to talking about the solar eclipse that was going to be around 2:00 am. I guess it has been over 400 years since it has been on the first day of winter. From what I heard on TV that is the only thing that was special about it, no way was I going to get up at 2:00 am and go out in the cold to see it. When we came home the sky was clear and the moon was very bright. Well I woke up around 2:20 am and looked out the window on my side of the bed and was able to see the eclipse. I watched it for about ten minutes and rolled over and went back to sleep.
