Happy
Thanks Giving to all you turkey lovers. I didn’t get up until 7:00 am and it
was 35 degrees out, it is hard to get up when you can see what the temp is
outside before you get out of bed. You know up north in the winter how hard it
is to get a car started and going in the winter, well that was how my body
reacted this morning. I went out to get the morning paper and just about
strained my back as it was packed full of Black Friday ads. Cheri and Nikki
spent the morning going through all the ads. We picked up Grandma at 10:45 am
and headed to Golden Corral where we met Mike, Mary, Larry, and Denise for our
Thanks Giving diner. We had to wait about 15 minutes in line as the place was
already full of people as they had opened at 10:00 am. By the time we were done
eating the line of people waiting to get in was wrapped around the building in
the parking lot and no vacant places to park. When we got home Cheri did her
weekly laundry and Grandma, Nikki and I watched the Green Bay Packers football
game. Only thing was the Packers forgot to show up, it was the worst game I have
seen them play in years. Cheri had put a turkey breast in the crock pot this
morning so we had turkey sandwiches with gravy for supper. I took Grandma home
around 6:00 pm. It was a nice day to spend with family and friends and stay
inside as the high temp for the day was 60 degrees.
