Grandma is still fighting her cold and not feeling good. So it was
just Cheri and I for church this morning. Pastor Dean had a good message which
made the time go by fast. After church seven of us went for lunch at the
Hibachi Grill in Wesley Chapel. It was pretty quite which made it nice for
visiting. Mike and Pam had a new cabinet they bought at Rooms To Go just done
the road from where we eat. I asked Mike how he was going to get it home and said
he thought it would fit in the car. I said how about we follow you down and we
can put it in our van. Well it was a good thing we went because it would not
have fit in their car. After we delivered it we made a quick stop at Lowe’s to
pick up the electric outlet that I thought I had bought before, also got the
base trim for the floor. When we got home Cheri went to the sewing room and I installed
the electric outlet. Then it was time for me to watch the NASCAR race I was
recording. We just started to watch it when Larry and Denise came; we haven’t
seen them for a week as they have had company. We visited for a while and then
play two games of Hand, Knee, and Foot with a break between games to have
pizza. Larry and I were the big winners today. After they left I settled in to
watch the race, a very good race, well the part I was able to stay awake for.
Cheri spent part of the time playing Words With Friends with Coz on her I-Pad.

I was awake at 3:00 am, couldn’t sleep so I got up at 4:00 am. I was
working on the computer when Cheri comes out in the kitchen all dressed and
ready to meet the world, I know this happens every morning but this morning it
is 4:50 am. She said that she couldn’t sleep either. She said that we were
going to go to Golden Corral for breakfast. Golden Corral doesn’t open until
7:30 am so I had a lot of time to get ready. So Cheri finished the primer
painting and I filled nail holes. I had done the caulking around the ceiling
yesterday and looked very nice will this morning it looked terrible. I checked
the caulk I bought and it goes on white and dries clear, another mistake on my
part. At 7:30 am we headed to Golden Corral for our breakfast, very good and
won’t have to eat again until this evening. We made a quick stop at Lowe’s to
pick up a tube of white caulking. As soon as we got home Cheri went to work
painting the final coat of paint. I worked on getting the storage door made and
ready to paint. Cheri was just finishing the painting when I came in with the
storage door for her to paint. I worked on putting in the electric outlets and
was short one, I was sure I had bought the extras I needed because I had one
additional outlet. I looked everywhere but couldn’t find it, guess my mind is
playing tricks on me. I also got the carpet cut in front of the door and ready
to put in the flooring. I was done for the day as it was raining out and need
to use the saw to cut the flooring. We had gotten some rain early this morning
and then this afternoon the sky opened up with a lot of rain along with the
lighting and thunder. I checked the rain gage and we got 2 ¼ inches.

Cheri went to work painting the other side of the new closet door
and then back to the sewing room to work on her quilt project. I got an e-mail
from Grandma letting me know that she had a water leak. So this morning I was
getting ready to go over to see what I needed to fix the leak when I got a call
from Mike G telling about a place in their park that had a stack of 12” X 12”
pavers free for hauling them away. So I headed over to check them out and they
were just what I needed to put along the shed so we can walk from the carport
to the back door without walking in the grass. There were 48 of them, almost
enough to do the whole job. I was really excited about getting them. After I got
them loaded I stopped by Grandma’s to see what I needed to fix the water leak. It
turned out to be a water pressure relief valve leaking. Grandma still has her
cold and not feeling well and wanted me to get her some cold medicine,
groceries, and stop at the bank to cash a check. First I went back home to
unload the pavers and then Cheri went with me so I dropped her off at Wal-Mart
and I went to Lowes to get what I needed to fix the water leak. Cheri called me
and said that she was done which was good timing as I was just getting in the
van to go and pick her up. When we got to Grandma’s Cheri put Grandma’s things
away while I fixed the water leak. It was noon when we got home so after lunch
I got back to work on the laundry closet. By 4:00 pm I had everything done and
ready for Cheri to paint except for the overhead storage door. Around 4:15 pm
Pam called and wanted to know if we wanted to go out for supper, no way we
could turn that down, so they picked us up at 4:45 pm. We went to the Hibachi
Grill over in Wesley Chapel. After supper we made a stop at Home Goods for Pam
and Cheri and then a stop at Home Depot so I could get a paint roller for Cheri.
The weather was overcast and breezy but nice and warm.

Cheri didn’t have any pool exercise this morning; she got a call
from Mary letting her know that she through her back out and was going to the chiropractor
for an adjustment. Cheri went to work on putting on a coat of the primer paint.
The kitchen is now a room for painting (see picture). This evening Cheri got a
finish coat on one side of closet door. I spent a lot of time trying to figure
out what I was going to do with the crown molding. Nothing seemed to work out
the way I wanted it to. I didn’t have enough of the old and the new didn’t
match up. I did finally figure out something that I could be happy with. I had
just one more board to cut and put in place and the trim work would be done and
I cut it too short. I don’t have a board stretcher and I didn’t feel like going
to Lowe’s today. It was already 4:00 pm and time to quit for the day.

Our cold weather has returned once again, it was 48 degrees this morning;
the high was 62 degrees and didn’t see that until 4:00 pm. It wouldn’t have
been all that bad but it was very windy. Cheri did go to the pool this morning
I told her I thought it would be too cold, but she went anyways, the pool was
too cold so they sat in the hot tub and visited. I went right to work on the
laundry closet and got the wet sanding done and now it is ready for paint. Mike
and Pam stopped over to see our laundry room and visited for a while, which was
good as I was ready for a break. I worked on hanging the door, which took
longer than I thought it would, but is now done. Cheri was busy working on her
new quilt project. This afternoon we both got haircuts and then a trip to Lowe’s
to get a lockset and some finishing materials. Tried to find some crown molding
to match the existing, no luck on that so not sure what I am going to do. I did
buy a piece that was a little smaller and maybe can make it work. We also
bought another bird feeder, the screen around the feeder we bought last week that
keeps the squirrels out has the opening too small and the birds the size of cardinals
can’t get to the feed. So this new feeder has a door on it and will close if a
squirrel ties to get to the food. We got home a little past 4:00 pm, I put up
the new feeder and now we will see what happens.

I was up before 5:00 am this morning, too much napping before I
went to bed last night. I had a fasting lab appointment yesterday morning and
forgot and eat breakfast so there was no need to go, so this morning I went
over at 7:15 am to see if I could get in. Because I was early I only had to
wait about 10 minutes. It was a misty day with very little sunshine, which was
Ok because I needed to work inside on the plastering of the laundry closet. I
got the final coat on, I hope, need to do the final wet sanding and then I will
know for sure. Cheri had just finished her quilt project and hung it on the
wall in the sewing room, looks really nice. We both got done a little after
noon. We had a quick lunch and headed to Tampa to pick up the furniture we had
order. We got a call yesterday letting us know it was in. It is a dresser and
bed side stands for our bedroom. It was after 3:00 pm by the time we were back
home and had them unpacked and stored in the sun room, can’t put them in the
bedroom until we are done with the laundry closet. I took the card board furniture
packing down to the recycling dumpster and Mike and Mary were there, Mike
helped me put the cardboard in the dumpster. I asked Mike if he could come over
and help me put the seats back in the van. So they follow me home. After
putting the seats back in the van we sat down and visited for a while. It was
after 4:00 pm when they headed home and we had done enough work for the day.

It was raining when I got up this morning; the weather report said
we had a 50 % chance for rain. It only rained for a short time. Does that mean
that our rain is done for the day? I worked on doing some wet sanding and
plastering on the laundry closest this morning. Cheri took Grandma for her
doctor’s appointment this morning because I didn’t know if I would get back in
time before I needed to leave to make my 2:00 pm appointment to have a new tire
put on my bike. As it turned out Cheri was only gone for about 45 minutes. She
said that they got right in to see the doctor. Remember I said a 50 % chance of
rain. Well Larry rode with me to get the tire put on the bike; we had a 115
mile round trip. It started to sprinkle a little when we arrived at the cycle
shop. My appointment was for 2:00 pm and we got there early in hopes that they
could get started early, well that didn’t work as they were short one repair
person today and they didn’t get started on the bike until a little after 3:00
pm. Long story short we got home without getting wet. Larry headed for home
right away and shortly after we did get a little more rain. Denise came over to
spend the afternoon with Cheri doing what ladies do in the sewing room. I told
Cheri I wanted some popcorn to have this evening and I don’t want to use the
microwave popcorn anymore so I said I wanted to go to Wal-Mart and get a
popcorn popper. Cheri said OK and that we needed to stop at Subway for supper.
As soon as I got home I cleaned up the popcorn popper and made a batch of good
popcorn. After my popcorn I was ready for bed, Cheri wanted me to stay up and
watch Dancing with the Stars. I am pretty sure I slept through some of it
because the next time I would look it was someone different dancing.

Grandma didn’t go to church with us today as she has a bad cold.
Church was very interesting this morning as it was a question and answer day
for Pastor Dean. People had e-mailed him questions about the Bible and Church
and they were put in a bowl and would draw out a question and then would answer
it. There wasn’t enough time to answer all the questions. All of our Life Group
friends had other plans today so it was just Cheri and I to go out for lunch.
So we went to a little Mexican restaurant called Los Chicos. We hadn’t been
there before and heard that it is very good. Well I must say that the building
looks bad and the interior looks like nothing has been done for 50 years but
the food was excellent. When we got home we changed clothes and headed to Lowe’s
to get the paint for the laundry closest and I also picked up the door and
other materials needed to finish the job. When we got home I told Cheri I
needed to rest for and hour before the wet sanding in the laundry closest, Well
my hour rest turned into a three hour rest. I did finally get the wet sanding
done. We heard that Julianne & Derek Hough are going to be doing a dancing
and singing tour this summer and I check getting tickets to see them. Well the
tickets range from $55 for nose bleed to $300 for better seats and most of them
were already sold out. For that kind of money I would have to have a sit down
dinner with them and an evening of visiting.

I went right to work this morning on the laundry closet. I did
some wet sanding getting one wall ready for a finally coat of plaster (I hope).
I got that done before I showered so I could have a break from it. Cheri went
to Sweet Bay to get a few things for lunch. Just as I finished getting dressed
Larry showed up so we could check the brakes on his truck. He has a squeak
coming from one of the wheels. It was such a high freq that I couldn’t hear it.
We even got Cheri to come out and see if she could hear which wheel it was
coming from. After taking the brakes out and checking them we couldn’t find
anything wrong and still had the squeak. We took it apart again and sanded the
brake pads and put some grease on the back plates, put it back together and no
more squeak, so I am told because I never did hear it. We called Denise and had
her come over to have lunch with us. After Larry and Denise left I headed back
to the bedroom to do more plastering. I now have two coats on most of it. Cheri
worked in the sewing room this morning and afternoon; the project she is working
on now is just about done, all she has left to do is put the binding on it. By
2:30 pm we both decided we had done enough for the day. We sat down in the
recliners and took a long nap. At 7:00 pm we headed for the Tampa airport to
pick up Mike and Pam. They have been in Aruba the last 11 days, seems like they
have been gone for a month. They said that they had a wonderful time. It was
around 10:00 pm when we got home and was ready for bed.

This morning I took Grandma for her lab appointment, didn’t have
to wait very long. She has a bad cold and not feeling very good. After I
dropped her off at home I had a few errands to do, a stop at the bank, stop at
Lowe’s to get a tube of silicon, fill the van up with gas. Was all done and
back home by 11:30 am. Cheri was doing her dusting and some laundry. We had an
early lunch before I headed to the bedroom to do more plastering. First I removed
the remaining batten and got the tape on. Cheri and I took a break before I started
doing the plastering. After our break Cheri headed for the sewing room and me
to the bedroom. I got a little more done but not as much as I wanted to, my
body just wouldn’t take anymore. After I got the plastering tools cleaned up I
mixed up a little concrete mix to fill a cement block I had. I put the bird
feeder staff through the opening in the cement block and the filled it with concrete.
Now it can be moved around without falling over. Then I reinstalled the rear
view mirror in the van, I had knocked it off putting a 10 foot piece of PVC
pipe in the van. By this time it was 4:00 pm and I had enough for the day,
although I did have more things that I wanted to do but my body told me I had
done enough.

I check my plastering project this morning and decided I need to
remove some batten strips that are on the wall, I had thought I could get by
without removing them, thought that I could cut corners and save some time. I
know in the end I wouldn’t have been happy with my short cut. So why did I even
think about doing it, because I am lazy. I had a motorcycle ride planned for
today and it was only Larry and me, was surprised that none of the other guys
could make it. So Larry and I used our ride to get some business done. I needed
to get some pricing on a new front tire for the bike. I checked out three
different places and got prices from $211 to $308, all where for the same exact
tire, pays to shop around. Our next stop was at the Dodge dealer in Lakeland. I
had received a card in the mail that they had a free gift for me if I stopped
in. I received a gift card for Wal-Mart and have to have it scanned, worth from
$5 to $250. The experience I had with the car salesman wasn’t a good one. He
took us out in the lot to show us some cars and then said that he got a page
and needed to go back inside, just left us there and didn’t come back. After
waiting for a while we went back inside and he was in an office talking to some
other people. I was very upset and decided that I won’t be buying a car at this
dealer. Larry wanted to go to the Cummings dealer over in Orlando to see about
getting an estimate on work that he wants to get done on their motor home. So
we had a good 169 mile ride and got home around 6:00 pm. It sure did smell good
when we walked into the house. Cheri had started a pot roast with potatoes,
carrots, and onions in the crock pot. Cheri and Denise went to a quilt show in
Lakeland and didn’t get home until after 6:30 pm. It wasn’t long and dinner was
ready along with fresh baked biscuits. After dinner we played one game of Hand,
Knee, and foot.

Things were going pretty good this morning and then I turned and
my back went out. But after a while I managed to get around and wanted to
finish the first coat of plaster on the laundry closet in the bedroom. Things not
looking so good for me, a bad headache yesterday and a bad back today. Well as
soon as Cheri left for the pool I went ahead did do the rest of the first coat
of plaster. Then it was time to get cleaned up and a good long hot shower on
the back. We picked up Mike and Mary at 11:45 am and headed to Bartow to meet
Norm and Marlene for lunch at Fred’s. It was about an hour’s drive and when we
got there Fred’s was closed up and gone out of business. So when Norm and
Marlene arrived along with Marlene’s brother and his wife we had to decide
where we were going to go for lunch. We ended up at Sonny’s; it was nice as we
had a table clear in the back of the restaurant where it was pretty quite so we
could visit. After we eat, we loaded the totes that Norm and Marlene used for
their move into our van. We said our goodbye’s and headed for home, arriving
around 3:00 pm. We had to go to Wal-Mart to pick up medicine and groceries for
Grandma and also some groceries for us. I wasn’t looking forward to going to
Wal-Mart, but must admit it was so bad today, think a lot of snow birds have
already headed back north. We were back home by 6:00 pm and ready to relax and
watch some TV.

We still had a little rain early this morning and then it slowly
cleared for a nice day but very breezy. I was a little slow this morning as I got
up with a headache and tired. Cheri went for her pool exercise, didn’t go yesterday
as it was raining. I took Grandma for her B-12 shot at 10:45 am. It was lunch
time when I got home. After lunch I started plastering the walls of the new
laundry closet. I only got a good start and had to quit as my headache was
getting worse. I told Cheri I was going to lie down and see if I could get rid
of the headache. Cheri cleaned house and worked in the sewing room. It was 5:00
pm when I got up and feeling some better but not great. We spent the rest of
the day watching TV. We were supposed to go and pick up medicine and some
groceries for Grandma; Cheri always gets a call when her medicine is ready but
not today. So she called to see if it was ready and she was told that they were
out of the medicine and wouldn’t have it until tomorrow.

We had rain all day so it wasn’t a good day to be out and about. It
worked out well for me has today was the day to hang the dry wall in the
bedroom for the laundry closet. Larry and Denise came over to help. Denise
worked on her Easter table runner and Cheri gave her some pointers while she
made a big pot of vegetable soup and baking powder biscuits for lunch. Larry
and I finished hanging the dry wall by a little pasted 1:00 pm and Denise had
most of her table runner done. It was good timing as we were all ready for
lunch and the soup and biscuits were very good. Larry and Denise got a call on
their motor home so after we got the dry wall scraps cleaned up Larry headed
home to wash the motor home. It is the best time to do it while it is raining,
don’t have to rinse it and with the rain there isn’t any water spots. Cheri and
Denise headed for Lakeland to get Denise’s sewing machine which was being
repaired and to take back the loaner they let her have to use. I did the taping
on the drywall joints so tomorrow I hope to do some plastering. Cheri dropped
Denise off at their place and then came and got me as Denise fixed chili and biscuits
for supper. After supper we played a game of cards. When we got home we crawled
into bed and watched Dancing with the Stars that we had recorded. I just
checked the rain gauged and we got a little over one and a half inches of rain
yesterday.

Grandma isn’t feeling well and didn’t go to church with us today.
Church was interesting today as we had a guess speaker. Pam and Mike are in
Aruba, Ron and Sandy had their grandson with them today and he didn’t have a
good night, and Craig was in Georgia and Michelle wanted to head for home, long
story short there weren’t anyone going out for lunch today. Cheri and I were
going to go out and then change our mind and came back home. I had a few
projects I wanted to get done. I discovered a small leak in the plumbing and
needed to fix it before installing the sheetrock. As it turned out it was a joint
that I hadn’t glued together, I was surprised it didn’t leak more. I had some
walls that I needed to fir out so the new sheetrock would match up to the old.
Cheri headed to the sewing room, she is a busy little beaver, she wanted to get
the part of the project she working on with Denise’s sewing machine done so she
can return it. I sat down to watch the NASCAR race that I recorded. There had
been a rain delay so it wasn’t long and I was caught up to live TV. Then another rain delay so I made a trip to
Lowe’s to get the dry wall tape I forgot to get yesterday along with dry wall
screws. When I got home Cheri was done for the day and sitting in her recliner.
I joined her to watch some TV shows that we had recorded as the race was still
in a rain delay. It was a very warm and breezy day with a high temp in the low
80’s.

It was an early and very busy morning at the Sharps house. Today was
the park wide yard sales and we needed to have everything setup by 7:00 am,
which met we had to set most of the stuff up in the dark. It was a good thing
we did as it was unreal the amount of people that came through the park. We had
a lot of stuff to put out, many things that were left here in the house and all
of our RV equipment. Denise took our van home last night so we would have more
room to set things out. Finally at noon things settled down and not much
traffic so we sat down to a game of Hand, Knee, and Foot with Larry and Denise.
After we played one game which Larry and I won by about the same margin that
Cheri and Denise bet us by last night. After we put away what we had left it
all fit into two tubs. So it was a very profitable day. Cheri and Denise wanted
to go to Hobby Lobby, so Larry and I went to Lowe’s to get the drywall and
materials for the laundry closet. When we got back and the drywall unloaded
Larry said we could start putting it up and I said that I was done for the day.
Soon the girls arrived home and they decided we should go out to eat at
Applebee’s over in Wesley Chapel. It was a good choice and we hadn’t been there
in a long time, good food. Then we made a stop at Sam’s, not sure why, guess it
was just something to do. We got home around 7:30 pm. We watched a little TV
and called it a night. Oh, it was the most beautiful day for our yard sale,
lots of sunshine and the temp was in the high 70’s. Thank you God for blessing
us with such a wonderful day.

It started out on the cool side this morning but warm up to be a
very nice day. I went to pick up Grandmas for her doctor’s appointment and she
was sick plus she didn’t realize she had an appointment. The appointment was
made last year and when she got her new calendar for this year she forgot to
put it on the calendar. So I went to the doctor and made a new appointment for
her. The rest of the morning Cheri and I worked on getting things ready for the
yard sale tomorrow, we have a lot of things to put our from things that were
left in the house when we bought it. This afternoon Cheri headed for the sewing
room and I started working on getting the electric cables pulled to the new
laundry closet. I was having quite the time trying to fish through the wall. I
was wishing that I had someone to help me when Larry and Denise came. Denise headed
for the sewing room to help Cheri and also work on a tree skirt for her and
Larry. Larry helped me pull the cables and install the TV on the wall. As of
around 5:00 pm we had the electric all roughed in and is now ready for sheet
rock. Cheri fixed us a Ruben sandwich from the left over corn beef. Then we
played one game of Hand, Knee, and Foot that Cheri and Denise won, in fact
Larry and I never won a hand, a very lopsided game. Of course Cheri and Denise
were very happy.

I couldn’t sleep, was awake at 2:00 am and finally got up at 4:00
am. It was supposed to be around 42 degrees this morning and it was 61 degrees
when I got up. I was happy about that because Larry and I were going to Bike
Week over in Daytona today. It was still 61 degrees at 6:00 am and then the
bottom fell out. A cold front was on its way and the temp started dropping and
the wind came up by 8:00 am when we left it was 52 degrees and wind gust at as
high as 30 miles per hour. Long story short, it was a cold ride, the wind was
so cold I kept looking for the ice berg. We arrived a little after 11:00 am.
The first thing we did was look for a place that had hot coffee. Then we got
held up by the food vendor and they didn’t even have a gun, the coffee was
$4.00 per cup (small cup). Larry and I had fun looking at bikes and accessories
plus all the other vendors. I did see something that I wanted for my bike, I
saw it last year and wanted it then and I still want it now and probably will
still want it next year. It is a faring with a quick release, goes in place of
the stock windshield. Larry and I got home a little pass 6:00 pm. Cheri was
gone and I knew she was with Denise. Will they came about 10 minutes after I
got home. Denise had to wait this morning for LP to be put in their motor home
and the guy didn’t show up until 3:00 pm, she was pretty upset as her and Cheri
had plans to work on a quilt project that they are doing together. So they went
to Panera Bread for supper and then to get Denise’s sewing machine for Cheri to
use. It has some fancy stitches on it that Cheri doesn’t have on her machine
(maybe a hint for a new machine). Cheri
wants to use it on the quilt project she is working on now.

I had trouble getting my body moving this morning, lot of pain
from crawling under the house hooking up the drain line for the washing
machine. Today my plan was to finish hooking up the drain and getting the hot
and cold water lines installed. The way I felt this morning I wasn’t sure if I
was going to get all of my planed work done. Cheri spent most of the day in the
sewing room working on a Christmas table cloth or maybe it is going to be a
Christmas tree skirt. After lunch I finished the drain work and then started
the hot and cold water plumbing. Everything went smoothly and was done by 4:00
pm. It was time to get cleaned up and relax with a drink. While I was cleaning
up Cheri went to Sweet Bay to get some Swiss cheese for the corn beef and cabbage
she had cooking in the crock pot for supper, which means we get to have Ruben
sandwiches with the left over corn beef for couple of days. We had rain off and
on today and Cheri was going out the door this morning for her pool exercise
and it had just started to rain, so no pool exercise today.

I was late getting this posted as I had computer trouble this morning and didn't things going until late this afternoon..
I worked this forenoon on the plumbing for the washer and dryer. I
got most of the drain pipe cut and fitted in place. I had to quit at noon as we
were having Rick and Janis and Rick’s mother Betty over. They had wanted to
come and see our home. We have been so busy there never seemed to be time, so today
was the day. After they left I dropped Cheri off at Hobby Lobby and I went to
Lowe’s to get a couple of things I forgot to get the other day. We needed to
get groceries and drove through Wal-Mart parking lot to see how busy it was and
I said too busy for us. On the way home we stopped to see Mike and Mary. Had a
nice visit with them, it has been a while since we have been able to stop and
visit. We just got done with supper and Larry and Denise stopped by so we visited
and play a game of Hand, Knee, and Foot. Larry and I were the winners tonight.
After Larry and Denise left we headed over to Wal-Mart to get our groceries. It
was 10:00 pm and it was busy but not bad until it came time to check out. They
only had 4 check outs going and a lot of people waiting in line. The line we
were waiting in had about 4 people ahead of us when the clerk said that t he check
out was closed. I was upset and told her so. But it didn’t do any good so we move
to the next line which now had 8 people in front of us. We got to a point to
where there were about 4 people in front of us when that clerk closed her
station. Ok now I am really mad and headed to find the manager. After our
little chat he opened another check out that Cheri was first in. It was after
11:00 pm when we got home and I was still worked up and took a while before I could
get to sleep tonight.

A little cool this morning but quickly warmed up to a beautiful
day. Bill and Lynda friends from Titusville came to spend the day with us. They
were with us on our 2008 Alaskan tour. We try to get together at least once a
year. Cheri did the house tour and then we visited a while before heading over
to Golden Corral for lunch. As always we eat too much. We were surprised that
there weren’t more people there. We came back to the house and Bill and Lynda
wanted to play dominos. It didn’t look good for Bill and me as we were behind a
long ways but pulled out a win at the end. Our time together ended way too
soon. After they left we headed over to see Larry and Denise as they got back
from Ontario late Sunday night. They had been gone for two weeks. They had a
good trip with a lot of snow and cold weather. Larry’s sister was glad to see
them and he did a few repairs for her. While we were there Cheri got a call
from Mary to let her know that there wouldn’t be any exercise class in the
morning as they have to take their dog to the Vet. She also said that Mike was
picking up the table saw and was going to bring it over, so we headed back
home. It is a 10” Craftsman saw and doesn’t look like it was hardly used. Mike
had made a deal with a guy here in the park for a miter saw and the table saw
for me. It was another great day God made for us.

Love
the daylight savings time, hate losing an hour of sleep, Oh that’s right I am
retired so it shouldn’t make any different. Church was good and Pastor Dean had
a good message. After church seven of us went out for lunch. We eat at the Hibachi Grill in
Wesley Chapel, not very busy so was quiet and was able to visit. After lunch we
stopped by Ron and Sandy’s to check out their new garage. It is almost done and
Ron is excited about getting it finished. We dropped Grandma off and headed
home. We changed clothes and Cheri headed for the sewing room and I went to
Lowe’s to pick up the plumbing materials. When I got home I was going to do
some of the plumbing but decided to watch the NASCAR race. About half way
through the race Cheri came out of the sewing room with her latest project
which is a pillow cover for and existing pillow she has. She took a plain piece
of material and painted on it. It was pizza for supper, our usual Sunday
evening meal.

It
was a cold morning, 42 degrees, took a while for it to warm up to the mid 70’s.
I didn’t have a lot planned for today, was going to check out on how to run the
drain for the washing machine which met I had to crawl under the house. Well
that turned out not so good as right where I wanted to come down with the drain
was right where the heating and air conditioning was and they couldn’t be
moved. After much investigating I did find a way to get the drain in. I have to
come through the wall into the kitchen behind and under a set of drawers and
then though the floor to the water drain from the washing machine that is in
the shed. To make sure that it was going to work I rerouted the cable TV which
had been put up through the floor and needed to be rerouted into the wall. I
was happy to see everything is going to work really well. Cheri finished the
Easter table runner and I was going to take a picture of it and she said that
she had to get it on the table with some bunnies around it, maybe tomorrow. Then
she disappeared into the sewing room again and started another project. After I
got done working she came out show me the front of a pillow she is making. I
fixed us a drink and relaxed in our recliners. I must have over relaxed, as I took
an hour nap and felt better. Cheri fixed beef stroganoff and Christy Jordan’s
Garlic-Herb Biscuit Rolls. The rolls were something new and were excellent. God
blessed us with another beautiful day. Thank you God.

It
was cool and very windy today needed to have a light jacket on to be outside. I
continued to work on the laundry closet. By 3:00 pm I finished doing the
framing and now it is time to start the electrical and plumbing, maybe
tomorrow, have to see how I feel. Cheri did her pool exercise this morning and
then some house cleaning. This afternoon she disappeared in the sewing room. I
check on her after I got done and she was starting to put the binding on her
latest project. I will post a picture when she gets it done. This evening our
Life Group went out to eat in Lakeland at Harry’s. What a wonderful time we had
and some great food. It was also a retirement party for Sandy as today was her
last day of work. She has wanted to retire for over a year and today was the
day.

We
got rain this morning and made it hard to get any lumber cut outside. I did get
some done and at 12:30 pm I had run out of building materials. It was a good
stopping point and Cheri had just got home from getting her hair done along
with some shopping. After lunch I told Cheri we could go to Lowe’s to get the
materials I needed to continue working or we could go to the movie and see the Monument
Men. I wonder what her answer would be. Well we got to the theater a little
before 2:00 pm and there was a line that was out the front and down the side of
the theater, everyone else had the same idea. Good thing we had an umbrella in
the car, wasn’t raining hard but enough to get wet. Because of the long wait
the movie had started by the time we got to our seats. I was going to get some
popcorn but everyone else thought they needed some too so I skipped the
popcorn. It was an excellent movie with no foul language or sex. The people
that make movies need to get with it as good movies can be made without all the
crap. When we came out of the theater the rain was over so we went to Lowe’s to
get the materials I needed for the laundry closet. It was 5:30 pm by the time
we got home. I was tired and didn’t even unload the van. Cheri fixed supper and
we crashed in the recliners and watched some TV. I checked the rain gage when
we got home and had just under an inch and a half.

It
was a good day in the neighborhood, got a lot done with the laundry closet. Everything
went according to the plan I had in my head on how to do things. Cheri cleaned
house and did a little shopping. Early afternoon we went to Lowe’s to pick up
the flooring for the laundry closet and also the dryer vent. I stopped by Mike’s
to see how he was doing with the cabinets he is building and asked to barrow
his 4” hole saw to make the opening in the wall for the dryer vent. The
cabinets Mike is building look really nice. When it comes time for us to
replace our kitchen cabinets I definitely will get a price from Mike. Finally
at 3:00 pm I was at a good stopping point decided I had enough for the day. I
fixed Cheri and me a drink and sat down in our recliners to rest and it wasn’t
long and I was sound asleep. I woke up at 6:00 pm and Cheri said that I almost
missed supper.

Cheri
was excited this morning as they announced the new contestants for Dancing with
the Stars on Good Morning America. She had to leave for her pool exercise
before she got to see who they were partnered with. So I recorded the show for
her. So when she got home she had to watch the results before doing anything
else. After Cheri got ready we went to the bank and post office to mail out our
tax papers. We got an e-mail from Grandma wanting to get her hair cut,
groceries, and pick up medicine. After we had an early lunch Cheri went and got
Grandma and took her to have her hair cut. Cheri picked up her medicine and
groceries while Grandma was having her hair cut. I have been saying for the
last few weeks that I needed to get started working on the closet for the
washer and dryer; well I got started this afternoon. I got one wall framed and
ready to put in. I had to quit early as we had tickets to go and see Kellie
Pickler at the Strawberry festival. The show is outside and there were
scattered showers forecasted. It turned out to be a nice warm evening and no
rain. We met Mike and Pam at Publix’s and rode together to Plant City for the
Strawberry Festival and see Kellie Pickler. It was nice to see her, she told
about many of the songs she sang and a little about her life. The bad part was
the music was so loud that we couldn’t hear her or understand what she was
singing. All in all it was a great day that God made for us.

It
was a beautiful day, sunny with lots of fluffy white clouds and a high of 80
degrees. The perfect day for our motorcycle ride, because of the short notice
there were only three of us for the ride. We rode to Kissimmee and stopped at
the Harley dealer. From there we wound our way to Clermont and stopped at the
Harley dealer, wow two Harley dealers in one day. After our visit there we
stopped at Wendy’s for lunch. I was disappointed as it cost me $1.33 for my
lunch, they charged me 25 cents for my drink and at the other Wendy’s it was
free for seniors. It was near 4:00 pm when I got home and rode 124 miles. My
loving wife worked on getting our taxes ready to mail out. What a wonderful
wife I have to work while I am out playing. Sure was a good smell when I came
in as Cheri had barbeque spare ribs cooking in the crock pot for supper. Best
Buy delivered our new Washer and Dryer, now I really have to get to work on the
closet for them.

It
was a beautiful day in the neighborhood, temp near 80 and a light breeze. We
picked up Grandma at 9:00 am and headed for church. Pastor Dean had a very good
message today called Get Out of the House. It was about getting out and helping
others. Grandma, Cheri and I came back to Zephyrhills to eat at Island Breeze,
we really like this restaurant. After dropping Grandma off we stopped at Sweet
Bay to get some groceries. When we got home Cheri stated a load of laundry and
then disappeared in the sewing room. I looked at the forecast for Wednesday to
see about a bike ride and it didn’t look good so I e-mailed the guys to see
about riding tomorrow. It is kind of a late notice but hopefully they can make
it. I was going to start building the walls for the laundry closet but decided
I better work on cleaning the bike as it is really dirty. It took me all
afternoon and quit at 6:00 pm, I got all the chrome cleaned and still needed
give it a good wax job. Cheri has the second table running sewed together and
was in the process of quilting it. Cheri fixed pizza for supper something we
use to have every Sunday night.

Hey!
Where did February go, can’t believe it is March already. I am sure the people
in the North are looking forward to spring because of all the cold weather they
have had. Well I am looking for normal Florida weather. Cheri disappeared into
the sewing room once again. I thought she was done with the Easter table runner
and now I see she has started another one. I headed off to Lowe’s this morning
to do some more dreaming. I did pick up some of the building materials I needed
for the laundry room (closet). Cheri had fixed pancakes for breakfast so we
only had an English muffin with peanut butter for lunch. Mike and Pam picked us
up at 2:00 pm and off to Lakeland to meet Al and Peggy to see the movie God’s
Son. The movie was excellent. If you had seen the series call the Bible that
was on TV, the movie was a condensed version on the Bible series. After the
movie we all went to IL Forno Italian Restaurant. Cheri and I had never been
there before, the food was very good, and it is on my list to go to again. It’s
not good place to go if you want to eat and visit, the acoustics were bad as I
had a very hard time hearing. It was near 9:00 pm when we got home, decided to
go to bed and watch TV.

We had another relaxing morning reading the paper, watching the
news, and drinking a lot of coffee. We could do this as noting was going on
until mid forenoon when Pat and Roger come to visit. Pat and Cheri used to live
together and work at the same place in Augusta Maine before we got married. So
you can see they have been friends for many years. It was good to see them and
Cheri enjoyed showing them through the house. We went to the Island Breeze for
lunch and then over to Beall’s as Pat was looking for a small platter that she
wasn’t able to get at the Beall’s near them, she did find it here at our Beall’s.
We came back to our place to have some dessert. Cheri was telling Pat about
Home Goods and they decided that they needed to go there. So we took both cars
so Pat and Roger wouldn’t have to come all the way back here to go home. While
the girls were shopping Roger and I went next door at Best Buy to price the
washer and dryers. As I had said before we already had picked out the LG model
of washer and dryer. I see that they were on sale cheaper than they were at
Home Depot. But I knew I could get a 10 per cent discount with my VA card. So I
asked at Best Buy if I could get a VA discount and they said that Best Buy doesn’t
do that. But they did say that the store manage does help the veterans so they
put the pencil to the price and came back with a very good price. We went back
to Home Goods and Cheri said I have something I want to show you. It was a
small cabinet that she has been looking for to put in the sun room under one of
her quilts that she has hanging. It was a good price so we bought it. After we
got it loaded into the van it was time to say goodbye to Pat and Roger. After
they left I told Cheri about the washer and dryer so we went across the street
to Home Depot to check the price to make sure they didn’t have a sale on them
there. Long story short we went back to Best Buy and bought the washer and
dryer. They will be delivered Monday, now it is really time for me to get the
closet built for them.
