There
was a 60 percent chance for rain today so I didn’t have anything planned for
today. After coffee and breakfast I checked out the weather map and the rain
was a couple of hours away and it was overcast. So I got the power washer out
and started power washing the house. Things went well and I got most of it
done. I still need to do the shed and carport. I would like to do the roof of
the carport to see if I can get the grim and dirt stains from all the years
that have built up on it. I need to buy an extension power wash hose before I
can attempt that project. I was done at noon and pooped, but felt better after
I got cleaned up and had lunch. Yep Cheri spent the morning in the sewing room.
I had checked the water softener and it was very low on salt. Being Cheri had
some errands to run I went with her to get the salt. By the time we got done
with everything it was 4:00 pm. Oh yes the rain came just before we headed out
to do the errands, so it was good timing for us. I did some internet searching
on insurance policies for home systems, ended up purchasing one for the air
conditioner, water heater, water softener, and a few other things. I mainly
wanted it for the air conditioner because a new one is around 7 to 9 thousand
dollars and ours is around 7 years old. I didn’t even know there were insurance
plans for the house appliances and systems. When we were out to eat supper last
night with Ron and Sandy, Ron was telling me how he saved money on a new water
heater because they had the insurance.
