We picked up Grandma at
8:45 am and headed to church and Sunday school. Pastor Randy had a very good
message about the Lords Supper which we had today. Sunday school was good and
our lesson today was “Enjoying God’s Comfort” from 2 Corinthians 1:3-14. This
afternoon we went over to Wesley Chapel to Sam’s Club to return a car organizer
that Cheri decided she didn’t want. We did picked up a few things we needed and
then headed over to Wal-Mart for a few more things. We bought a Wal-Mart brand pizza
to have for supper, not very good. At 5:00 pm we headed back to church to hear
the gospel music group “The Sheltons” sing. It was a fun evening being with Christian
friends and hearing the gospel music. When we got home I settled in to watch
the rest of the NASCR race I had recorded and Cheri settled in with a book she
is reading.

Cheri got picked up at
8:00 am to attend a day long simulcast at our church put on by Priscilla Shirer
who is Tony Evans daughter. It was after 5:00 pm when she got home. She said
that it was very good but a long day. I got a call this morning from Bob and
said that the people where we were putting up the blinds the other day got the
additional parts so we could finish that project. I met Bob there at 9:30 am.
It didn’t take long to finish. Bob asked me to help on another job to install
new flush valves and flappers in two toilets but couldn’t do it until 11:00 am.
Bob and Ida Mae have a new house in Tampa Bay Country that they will be moving
into the next week or so. So we drove around to look at that, a very nice
house. Then it was on to the toilet project. I was back home by noon. After
lunch I was planning on working outside in the shop but had a headache and
ended up in the recliner napping and watching a little TV. I never did get out
to the shop. Cheri was tired when she got home so we just had a pulled pork
sandwich with chips for supper. The rest of the evening was spent watching TV. Thank
you God for everything you do for us.

Cheri finished her laundry
this morning and then worked in her sewing room. She has started a new project called
“Dance of the Dragonflies”. I had a 9:30 am appointment over in Tampa Bay
Country to change a kitchen faucet. Usually it takes about ten minutes to remove
the old one but today I had trouble and took me over an hour to get the old one
out. I got done at 11:30 am. On the way home I stopped at Lowe’s to get a
couple cutting wheels for my Dremel tool and a couple of bolts for the power
washer. I also stopped at Rural King to get the bird food that I wanted to get
the other night. It was 1:00 pm when I got home for a late lunch. Later this
afternoon I got a call from a couple here in the park where I put in a new
shower and vanity, now they want a new vanity in the master bathroom. Also to
remove the shower doors, remove the medicine cabinet, center the mirror and
light over the new vanity, and new shower curtain rods. I plan on starting the
project Monday morning. I asked Cheri what we were having for supper and she
said that she didn’t know so we decided to go up to Dade City and eat at Steph’s
Southern Soul. It has been around for a couple of years but never tried it. The
food was excellent and we will be going back again. Thank you God for blessing
us with a wonderful day.

It was laundry day for
Cheri and then she went shopping. I left at 8:45 am to go over to Bob and Ida
Mae Conover’s to install a new bathroom sink stopper. Then Bob and I went to
Tampa Bay Country as Bob had a roof repair job and needed my help to do it. He
also wanted me to help him install some large blinds in a lanai. We put up
three of them and when we went to put up the last one there wasn’t any mounting
bracket in the package. So we will have to go back when they get the parts. Bob
had another appointment and I headed back to Bob and Ida Mae’s to check on their
wireless printer. They couldn’t get it set up with their router and had the
Geek Squad work on it for two hours and couldn’t get it to work. I also spent a
couple of hours on it but with God’s help I got it working. It was 4:00 pm when
I got home. Cheri was busy getting supper ready. She fixed us a pulled pork
sandwich along with fresh fried potatoes and sausage gravy. Later while
watching TV we had rest of the cherry cobbler Cheri made the other day.

It was a stay at home work
day. I got my truck restocked for my project tomorrow. Next I removed
everything from the shed. We sold a lot of things that was in the shed on the
yard sale a couple months ago and now throwing away many more things that I
saved, not sure why I had saved the things I did. It was 1:00 pm when I got
done so that meant a late lunch. After lunch I took the truck through the car
wash. Then I took the truck for an oil change, waited an hour and a half for it
to get done. Cheri was busy with her Wednesday house work, started the crockpot
with ribs, and made a cherry cobbler for supper. After supper I had some things
to return to Lowe’s and then wanted to make a stop at Rural King to get some bird
food. When I loaded the car with the things I was going to return I see the
trunk lid was open. So when we left the car started hard as the battery was low
from the trunk light being on. So when
we came out of Lowe’s the car wouldn’t start. I had to get a jump from a guy
that was coming out of the store and it turned out that he was park in front of
me. It took a while to get the car started and had trouble keeping it running.
So we headed straight home. I put the battery charger on when we got home and
should be all charged up by morning. Thank you God for guiding us through
another day.

Cheri had a busy day. She
got her Tuesday house work done, went for a haircut, and went grocery shopping
this afternoon. I went back to work on the roof project and got that completed
by 3:00 pm. It was another hot day working outside in the sun. I really needed
to reorganize the truck but was too tired to do it today. Cheri fixed hoagie sandwiches for supper
which were very good. At 7:00 pm we took a ride over to DQ as Cheri had a
coupon for a dollar off on Blizzards. We each had a Butterfinger Blizzard which
was still too expensive. We used to go a lot but got to be too expensive now
maybe once a year. Over a year ago I sent an idea I had to the Wood Magazine
and looking through the new magazine that came I see that my idea had been
published.

It was an overcast morning
as it was supposed to rain. So I wasn’t in any hurry to get started on the roof
work as I needed to get on the roof to remove old caulking before I could
install the roof stiffeners I made Saturday. I was really to go up on the roof
and it started to rain. So I went back to the house to assemble the end caps on
the new eve’s trough. The end caps had to be modified and needed to make a trip
to Lowe’s to get some white pop rivets and while I was there I picked up the
down spouts I needed. When I got back home I was able to finish the end caps
before lunch. Cheri was busy in her sewing room finishing the pillowcases that
she was making for Wyatt. After lunch the sun was out and the roof was dry so I
could go up and remove the old caulking and install the roof stiffeners. It was
really hot and humid this afternoon and had to quit around 3:00 pm as the heat
got the best of me. After a good hot shower I felt much better. We watched a
little TV before supper or I should say Cheri did as I napped. After supper it
was more TV for Cheri and napping for me. Thank you God for guiding us through
another day.

Grandma went to church with
us today. Pastor Randy’s message was titled: What is Church? “The Force Within
Us” Acts 2:1-4. It was very good and brought out a lot of interesting points.
Our Sunday school lesson was “Understanding Love” from 1 Corinthians 13:1-13.
We were back home by 12:45 pm. We settled in for an afternoon and evening of
relaxing watching TV, reading, and napping. We had our usual Sunday evening
pizza for supper. We were supposed to get rain today but all we got was a few
sprinkles this evening. The only exciting part of the day was spending time
with God and learning his word.

Cheri and I left the house
at 7:00 am to go for breakfast at Sunrise Eatery. You can tell that the
snowbirds have gone back north as there weren’t any people waiting to get in
the restaurant. As soon as we got back Cheri headed out to Wal-Mart to get
groceries for Grandma before the store got busy. I went to get some additional
materials for the roof I am working on. I made a pattern that I think will work
and cut them out of the metal I got this morning. I had said that I wasn’t
going to do any work on Saturday. So I quit at noon and decided to see what was
wrong with the power washer and why it wouldn’t start last week. Will I got it
out and on the first pull it started and I let it run for a while and
everything seemed to be ok. I found Cheri in the sewing room making a pillowcase
for Wyatt. She now has two of them made and is working on the last one. We
settled in to watch some of the TV shows we have recorded as we are three and
four episodes behind. While watching TV I got a call from a lady here in the
park saying that it was all wet under her kitchen sink and wanted me to come
and check it out. It turned out to be a connection in the drain had come apart.
It only took a few minutes to fix it and didn’t have the heart to charge her,
so she was very happy. I tried to watch the NASCAR race that was on this
evening but couldn’t stay awake for the whole race. So I will finish watching
it tomorrow. Thank you God for a blessed day.

I left at 6:10 am
for my Accountability Group Bible study and breakfast in Dade City, studying
Acts 18:1-17. I was back home a little
after 8:00 am. Cheri already had laundry going. She spent most of the day in
her sewing room but also made a trip to Wal-Mart for groceries. I had a 10:00
am appointment over in Tampa Bay Country. Just some miscellaneous things to do
and was done in 1 ½ hours. On the way home I stopped to pick up the materials I
ordered yesterday for the carport roof project. After lunch I went to work on
it. It is only two doors down the street and still had the truck there so all
my tools were handy. I did make some progress on the project but need to do
some additional design work on how I am doing the job. The good thing I was
able to work in the shade of the carport.
I quit at 4:00 pm. After a good hot shower I felt much better. At 5:00
pm we met Larry and Denise at Pizza Hut for supper. After supper we went over
to their place to play cards. Tonight was our last time together as they are
leaving early tomorrow morning for their home in Canada. Thank you God for
another great day.

It was a little warmer
this morning more to my liking. I had said in the past that I wasn’t doing any
more concrete work but today was different as I am doing it for myself. The
concrete around the water shut off box has broken and needed to be replace.
Last year the water department came and replaced the water shut off valve and
had to dig under the concrete and when the dirt was replaced it wasn’t packed
back in so it left a void under the concrete. So after backing the truck over
it a few times it broke down. Long story short I removed the broken pieces and
mixed up three bags of cement mix and repaired the broken section. This afternoon
I worked on our neighbor’s carport roof. A section of the roof has sagged and
needs to be rebuilt. I got part of it removed and went and order material for
it which will be ready to pick up tomorrow. Cheri was busy this morning with
her Thursday house work and relaxed this afternoon. It was after 4:00 pm when I
got done with work and headed to the shower to get cleaned up. It was another
productive day. Thank you God for helping us through the day.

It was 47 degrees this
morning but warmed up to be a very nice day with low humidity. I think this is
our last cold morning. Cheri did her Wednesday house work, went and visited
with Jean, and worked in her sewing room on a toy bag for Wyatt. I headed back
to the place where I was working yesterday. I had to stop at Lowe’s on the way
to pick up some brown caulk. I got the grouting done in the piece of tile I
replaced yesterday, caulking in the bathroom, and caulking in the front entry
way. We discussed some future projects she wants me to do. I was home a little
after 1:00 pm. I unloaded some lumber from the truck that was given to me. Then
I took the car through the car wash and a stop at the bank. When I got back
home I got cleaned up as Larry and Denise were picking us up at 4:30 pm to go
to Lakeland for supper at Olive Garden. It wasn’t one of the better meals we
had, food was cold and had to send it back to be reheated. The manager did come
by and offered us soup and bread sticks to take home. On the way home we
stopped at Jo-Ann’s Fabric so Cheri and Denise could pick up some things they
needed. When we got home we played a couple games of cards. Denise and Cheri
won one game by a large margin and Larry and I won the second game. It was a
fun evening spending it with friends.

It was a cold 48 degree
this morning, too cold for this time of the year. One thing we do here in the
south that we didn’t do in the north is heat in the morning and air
conditioning in the afternoon. I still like this better than the cold weather
in the north. Cheri went to the Sprint phone store to get some information on
her phone and all the guy wanted to do was sell her something. She came away frustrated
and that was pretty much how her whole day went. She also did some grocery
shopping and made a delicious blueberry pound cake from a new recipe. I left
for work at 8:45 am for a 9:30 am appointment. Today I had to replace a broken
floor tile, repair screen door, check leaks in the main roof and patio roof,
check on putting in an attic stairs, hang pictures on concrete walls, and a few
other miscellaneous things. I have to go back tomorrow as the tile wasn’t dry enough
for me to install the grout. I was back home by 4:15 pm. This evening we got a video
call from Darren and got to see Wyatt which is hard to do has he won’t sit
still long enough to talk to him. Darren follow him around so we could see everything
he was doing. Darren told us that they will be moving in July to a new place
that is all on one floor so they won’t have to worry about Wyatt and stairs. We
got to see the new place on line and looks really nice. Thank you God for
today.

I had no scheduled work
away from home today. Which was a good thing because I needed to get my shop
cleaned, truck box and cab cleaned on the inside, and my tools repacked and
back in the truck. The first thing I did was go and get a much needed haircut. It
was near 10:00 am when I got home and started working on the truck project. I
took a break at noon for lunch with Cheri. She had started a corn beef in the
crockpot to have for supper along with cabbage. After lunch I headed back out
to finish the truck cleaning. It was near 3:00 pm when I got all my tools
repacked and in the truck. I didn’t have the energy to start cleaning up the
shop so headed in the house to relax and watch the rest of the NASCAR race that
got rained out yesterday. Cheri had been working in the sewing room making a
bag for all of Wyatt’s toy cars. The
evening was napping and watching TV shows we had recorded. God blessed us with
another wonderful day.

It was gloomy with very high humidity
today along with rain late this afternoon and evening. The rain was needed and
happy we didn’t get the bad weather that came in off the gulf. I checked the
rain gauge and received only ½ inch. Grandma went to church with us this
morning. It was another good day spending it in church and Sunday school with
God and our church family. It was 12:30 pm when we got home. It felt good to
just relax, nap, and watch TV this afternoon and evening. We had pizza for
supper, been several Sundays since we have had pizza.

Cheri and I went out for breakfast at
the Sunshine Eatery at 7:15 am. We were back home by 8:15 am. I was ready to
start my project here in the park. I worked on cleaning all the twigs off the
roof, blew off the roof with blower, cleaned eve troughs, repaired eve trough,
raked and bagged twigs and leaves, and washed out the eve trough. I worked
eight hours on the project and didn’t get paid for it……..Oh I forgot I was
working for myself today. Cheri work in her sewing room sorting material,
cleaning, and getting ready for her next project. Cheri fixed coleslaw, chicken
tenders, and French fries for supper. This evening I put new batteries in the
sound system remote plus switched the kitchen and living room TV remotes as the
one in the in the living room had a problem with the keypad and don’t need the
keypad for the kitchen remote. I also removed several TV shows from our DVR
record list. The rest of the evening was watching shows we had recorded. Thank
you God for a good day.

Ok, its Friday the 13th,
are you one of the people that is superstitious? I didn’t even realize it was
Friday the 13th until I sat down to write the blog. As you can see I
wasn’t too worried. I was out the door at 6:10 am heading to Dade City for my
Accountability Group Bible study and breakfast. I was back home a little past
8:00 am. At 9:00 am I headed over to Larry and Denise’s to help Larry with
installing drain pipe to get rid of the rain water from the down spouts as it
has been running under the house. We got done with that project at 1:00 pm. I
headed home and picked up the old microwave I took out the other day and took
it to the salvage yard, they gave me $3.51 for it. Then I stopped at Lowes to
pick up some materials a job I will be doing next week. On the way home I got a
call from a guy here in the park that said that he had a leak in the roof of
his shed. So I checked it out but really couldn’t see where it was. I did caulk
a couple of spots that could have been where it had leaked. When I got home
Cheri said that we had an invite to dinner with Pam and Mike but wasn’t able to
go as we had been invited to Larry and Denise’s to play cards. Cheri worked in
the sewing room today. When we had the 5th wheel we had a king size
bed and when we moved to the house we had a queen bed. So Cheri had cut the
electric blanket down to fit the bed. Well now we have a king size bed so she
reattached some material so it will fit the new bed. Thank you God for guiding
us through another day.

Cheri and I took the day off. We picked up Larry and Denise at 8:00 am and headed to Fort Myers to visit Edison & Ford Winter
Estates. It is something we have been wanting to do for a
long time. It was very interesting and we learned many things that we didn’t
know about Edison and Ford. There were so much to see that it was hard to take
it all in, need to go back again sometime. We even had some homemade ice cream
while we were there. Our next stop was the Muscle Car City museum in Punta
Gorda. We got to see over 180 General Motor cars, just about every make and
model that General Motors made. There were almost every year of Corvettes which
got me interested as they had a 1962 which is my favorite. The cars are all
owned by one man. It is a blessing that he has them on display so people of all
ages can see them. I will be going back again as there was just too much to
take in for the time we were there. Our next stop was Fisherman’s Village in
Punta Gorda. They had replicas of Columbus ships Nina and Pinta docked there
and could tour the ships but we were too late to take the tour but was fun
seeing them. We had planned on going to Sarasota for supper but was late and
decided to eat at the Village Fish Market and Restaurant. We all had fish and
chips that was excellent. After all of this it was time to head for home. It
was around 8:30 pm when we arrived home. It was a fun day off to spend with
Larry and Denise as they are heading back to Canada next week. Thank you God
for a fun and safe day.

What a beautiful day we had, low
humidity and a temp in the high 70’s. Cheri was very busy today. She did her
Wednesday and Thursday house work so she could have the day off tomorrow. She
also took Grandma for three doctor appointments today. I finished the bathroom
door project. A leaking sky light in a roof that I had worked on before still
has a small lead so after lunch I added some Black Jack to the patch I had
installed, hope that takes care of the leak. When I got back home I cleaned out
the truck box so I could take a load of things to the Re-Store, leftovers from
our yard sale along with a few other things. It turned out that there were a
few things that the Re-Store didn’t want. Then it was back home to load up
construction materials from some of the jobs I have done and make a trip to the
dump. It cost me $8.30 to get rid of the stuff but glad to have that done. On
the way home I stopped at another place where the lady wanted me to check out
the bathroom wall. I could see water was coming in around the window from the
outside. Long story short I am going to repair the water leak and install a new
bath tub and surround. This is going to be a big job and will probably take me
a week to get it done. I told her it would be a week or so before I could get
started. It was 5:00 pm when I finally got home. Cheri was doing a new recipe
for ribeye steaks. First a steak rub, then searing them in hot frying pan, and
then into the oven for a few minutes. They came out great and were really good.
I think they were better than me doing them on the grill. I our evening TV
snack was strawberry short cake. Thank you God for the day you blessed us with.

We got rain today. It started early
this morning and rained all day with some times a hard rain with wind. I
checked the rain gauge this morning and we received 2 ¼ inches of a much needed
rain. Cheri did her Tuesday house work and made a trip to the grocery store. I
headed back to the bathroom door project. I had my tools spread out in the
carport and then a hard rain with some strong wind came and I ended up with
some very wet tools and supplies. I got a second coat of plaster on and will
have to do at least one more coat which means I will not get done today. I got
the new door hung and had to take part of the door frame home to cut it down so
it would fit a 3 ½ wall. I took an hour off to check out a roof along with
Larry’s help to see if he had any other ideas on how to fix it. We came up with
an idea that I think will work (a project for next week). Then it was back to
the bathroom filling nail holes and chalking. I now have everything done except
the threshold and the additional plastering. They were going to go and see
about a new threshold this evening. It was near 4:00 pm when I got home. After
my shower and supper we settled in for an evening of TV. Cheri had to watch
Fixer Upper’s new show. It was more interesting than I thought it would be. Thank
You God for the day helping us with our projects.

Cheri and I both had a busy day.
Cheri worked in her sewing room today getting the bed spread completed. She has
had a hard time working on it and is very happy that it is done. She is looking
forward to working on something more fun to do. I started a new project here in
our park this morning. Removing a 24 inch bathroom door and installing a 30
inch door. I had to remove a medicine cabinet that was in the way and also move
light switches and electrical outlet. Plus all the wiring had to be rerouted. I
got the door opening framed up and new dry wall installed and a coat of plaster
done. I started early as I had to go to Lowe’s this morning to pick up the door
and framing material and then be ready to start work at 9:00 am. Things went
well and didn’t get home until 6:00 pm. Cheri had made a batch of chocolate
chip cookies this afternoon. She also fixed brats and potato salad for supper.
Once again the hot shower made me feel better. Tried to watch a little TV
before calling it a night. Thank You God for guiding us in our projects today.

What a wonderful day it was to
worship with God. Grandma went to church and Sunday school today. Pastor Randy
had the best message that we have ever heard him give. The title was “What is
Church? The Formula” from Acts 1:1-11. Sunday school was also very good as our
lesson today was “Remembering the Sacrifice” from 1 Corinthians 11:17-29. After
we dropped Grandma off at home we went to the hospital to see Art who was
admitted yesterday with low blood pressure and had to have a blood transfusion
and are trying to see where he is losing the blood. We were home only a half
hour before it was time to pick up Larry and Denice and go to Lings Buffet for
a late dinner. The last time we were there was a year ago with Larry and
Denice. After dinner we headed back to Larry and Denice’s to play Hand, Knee,
and Foot which Denice and Cheri won both games. It was near 8:30 pm when we got
home. I settled in to watch the NACAR race that I had recorded and Cheri went
to the bedroom to watch TV.

I had said that I wasn’t
going to work on Saturdays but here I am again working today. I needed to
finish the bathroom vanity I was working on yesterday which I would have had
done but they wanted me to do some extra things like centering the mirror and
light over the new vanity plus hanging a medicine cabinet, towel bar, and
toilet paper holder. I was done at noon and home to unload the boxes and old
vanity from the truck. This afternoon I headed over to Tampa Bay Country to
install a new microwave. He had bought the same brand and size microwave so I
thought the install would go fast but not to happen. I had to install a new
wall bracket and drill new holes in the cabinet. I was back home by 4:00 pm and
really tired. I took a shower before sitting down as I knew if I sat down and
rested I would never get up for my shower. Cheri worked in her sewing room and
then picked up Denise and took her to Treasured Friends in Dade City. They were
happing a free lunch for all of the customers. We had a hard rain come through
this evening that didn’t last very long but still had a light rain through the
night, only got ¼ inch. We do need the rain as it so dry and having problems
with forest fires. It was another TV night for Cheri and napping for me. Thank
you God for today.

We both had a busy day.
Cheri took Grandma for two different appointments today along with getting
groceries for Grandma. Plus doing her Friday house work. I had my accountability
Bible study and breakfast at 6:30 am. I was back home by 8:30 am and was ready
for a project here in our park. I had to remove an old bathroom vanity and
install a new one. It turned out to take longer than I thought it would, had
another plumbing problem. I was home by 4:30 pm but have to go back tomorrow. I
still have to install the back splash and have to raise the mirror and center
it over the new vanity plus move the vanity light and install another bathroom
cabinet. We had leftover casserole for supper along with some more strawberry
shortcake. This evening we went to see the movie “God’s not Dead 3”. It was a
good movie but I thought the first two were better but still a good lesson to
be learned. I was very disappointed that there weren’t more people there for
the movie. Only about fifteen or twenty people. Thank you God for giving us a
good day.

It was another busy day. I
left the house at 7:15 am as I had a dermatologist appointment at the Tampa VA
to have a spot of cancer removed from my ear. I was told it could take all day
as they would keep doing scraping until they got all of it. Well the good news
is it only took one scraping and was back home by 11:30 am. I also made a stop
at the flea market to get a half flat of strawberries. After lunch I went to
Lowe’s to get the materials for an afternoon job at Ron and Sandy’s. Ron had
the garage door raised and a new opener installed. He needed a new outlet
installed for the opener which was my job today. It was after 4:00 pm when I
got home. It was laundry day for Cheri along with making a ham and potato casserole
and strawberry short cake for supper. She also spent some time in her sewing
room. This evening Mike and Kathy came over to play aggravation, another fun
night with friends. Thank you God for blessing us with another wonderful day.

This morning I finished
repairing the kitchen drawer and then headed out to Tampa Bay Country to finish
the job I started yesterday. Things when well and was done by 12:30 pm. On the
way home I stopped by Ron and Sandy’s to raise a ceiling fan in Ron’s garage. I
wasn’t able to raise it enough so Ron had me remove it as it was going to be in
the way of raising a car on the new car left that he is installing today. When I
got home I had an e-mail form Mike next door and wants to use my hammer drill
so I took it over and visited with him for a bit. Then went to Jean’s next door
to repair her toilet. After all of that it was time for my shower and to get
ready for supper. Cheri did her Wednesday house work, made trip to the grocery
store, and went for a visit with Jean. This evening Larry and Denise came over
to play Hand, Knee, and Foot. We play two game and Larry and I were the
winners. Thank you God for being with us today.

After Cheri got her
Tuesday house work done she went shopping. My first appointment wasn’t until
10:00 am so I had some time to get my truck ready for the day. I had two
appointments for the day. The first was to install a medicine cabinet and the
second was to install a new furnace filter. Well when I got to the first appointment
I said to the guy that I am here to install the new medicine cabinet and he
told me that he hadn’t bought it and wanted to know what he needed. I thought
it was going to be a wasted but he also told me that all of the outside outlets
didn’t work, needs a new GSI receptacle in the kitchen, plastering on the
peninsula, new base board in the pantry, and a kitchen drawer repaired. I knew
all that needed to be done with the outside outlets was to reset the GFI, but
had a hard time finding where it was. I finally found it in a cabinet in the
garage. I did a coat of plaster on the peninsula. He wants me to get the new
baseboard and medicine cabinet plus taking the kitchen drawer home to repair
it. My next appointment was to change the air filter and plus she wanted light
bulbs changed in the kitchen and ask me to assemble a small table that she had ordered
from Home Goods. After all of this I was still home by 12:30 pm. After lunch I
went to Lowe’s and got the new medicine cabinet, GFI receptacle, and base
board. After I got back home I worked on the Kitchen drawer. At 2:30 pm I had a
shower and got ready as we were to meet Pam and Mike at 3:15 pm at Walgreens so
we could ride with them to pick up Ron and Sandy at Wesley Chapel for dinner at
Cracker Barrel and then to the theater to see the 6:15 pm movie “Paul, Apostle
of Christ”. It was a good movie but took a while for me to get into it. It was
a good evening spent with friends, thank you God.

Cheri and I had dentist
appointments this morning. Normally we both go at the same time but they had
called and only have one hygienist so my appointment was at 9:00 am and Cheri’s
was at 11:00 am. When I was done with mine I headed over to Tampa Bay Country
to do some touchup in the bathroom and then finish the garage shelving that I
had started some time ago. Cheri was busy trying to get things arranged so Pam
& Mike and Ron & Sandy and we could get together tomorrow evening for
dinner and to see the movie “Paul, Apostle of Christ”. Plus doing her Monday
house work. It was 5:30 pm when I got home and once again I was ready to have a
good hot shower before eating supper. After supper we settled in for an evening
of watching some of the shows we had recorded. In my case it was more napping
than watching. I forgot to mention that we got some rain Sunday night, didn’t
last very long but when I checked the rain gauge we had received one inch. We
also had a good rain shower on my trip home today. It is so dry here and need
the rain. Thank you God for another wonderful day.

I pray that everyone had a
happy Easter and not too many April fool’s pranks. Grandma went to church with
us this morning. There wasn’t any early Bible study (Sunday school) classes so
there were more people in church this morning. Although our class did have
Sunday school. We were invited over to Dick and Linda’s for Easter dinner along
with several of our Sunday school class. So after class we followed Jan home so
we pick her up and take her with us. We also stopped at home to pick up the
dish of glazed carrots Cheri made for dinner. We arrived at Dick and Linda’s at
1:00 pm and met several other People that Dick and Linda had invited. There
were 16 of us for dinner. After dinner Dick play several songs on the organ.
Dick and Linda had a pint jar full of jelly beans and everyone had to guess how
many was in the jar. Well Grandma was the winner, her guess was 150 and there
were 153. So Grandma got to take them home. After some great desserts and more
visiting it was time to head for home. We took Grandma home and then Jan. It
was around 5:30 pm when we got home. Later in the evening we got a call from
Nikki wishing us a happy Easter. We had a nice visit with her and telling us
she really likes her new job. We watched a little TV and called it a night. It
was a good day spending time with God and friends.

It was another Saturday of
work for me, but only until noon today. I went back to finish the bathroom tile
project. I got the grout all in and looks pretty good. I will go back on Monday
for any touch up that needs to be done. After lunch Cheri and I went to Plant
City to see the movie “I can only imagine”. It was an excellent movie which
everyone should go and see. It isn’t very often that I would go and see the
same movie over but this is one that I would go and see again, a very powerful
message. On the way home we stopped at Johnson Barbeque for supper. Cheri had a
pulled pork sandwich and I had 1/3 order of St. Louis style ribs. It was pretty
good. I also had to make a stop at Lowe’s to pick up some touchup paint for the
tile project. We were back home by 6:00 pm and settled in for an evening of TV shows
we had recorded. Thank you God for today.
