Gay April-12-18

Cheri and I took the day off. We picked up Larry and Denise at 8:00 am and headed to Fort Myers to visit Edison & Ford Winter
Estates. It is something we have been wanting to do for a
long time. It was very interesting and we learned many things that we didn’t
know about Edison and Ford. There were so much to see that it was hard to take
it all in, need to go back again sometime. We even had some homemade ice cream
while we were there. Our next stop was the Muscle Car City museum in Punta
Gorda. We got to see over 180 General Motor cars, just about every make and
model that General Motors made. There were almost every year of Corvettes which
got me interested as they had a 1962 which is my favorite. The cars are all
owned by one man. It is a blessing that he has them on display so people of all
ages can see them. I will be going back again as there was just too much to
take in for the time we were there. Our next stop was Fisherman’s Village in
Punta Gorda. They had replicas of Columbus ships Nina and Pinta docked there
and could tour the ships but we were too late to take the tour but was fun
seeing them. We had planned on going to Sarasota for supper but was late and
decided to eat at the Village Fish Market and Restaurant. We all had fish and
chips that was excellent. After all of this it was time to head for home. It
was around 8:30 pm when we arrived home. It was a fun day off to spend with
Larry and Denise as they are heading back to Canada next week. Thank you God
for a fun and safe day.
