I
got up feeling really bad with a sore throat and cold. I really didn’t feel
like working today but was in the middle of some projects I am working on. I did
some caulking in the bathroom which I need to have done because the painter was
coming this morning. I change a light switch to a dimmer switch. Then it was
time to get back to work on the other master bedroom closet installing a new
floor. I quit work at 2:30 pm just was able to do anymore. Cheri worked all day
over at Grandma’s and still has a lot to do. This evening we went out for dinner
with Mike and Pam. We had a good visit and hadn’t seen them for a while. It
wasn’t all that late when we got home but both really tired and decided to go to bed.
Praying we both feel better in the morning.

Cheri
did her Tuesday house work and then went over to Grandma’s to continue cleaning
out the house. She didn’t get home until 4:15 pm. I had my Tuesday morning accountability
group breakfast and Bible study. We finished up the last half of John chapter
six, lots of good information how we need to live our lives. I worked over in
Tampa Bay country today. Still working at the same place as last week. I did a
final coat of plaster in the bathroom, install a couple lights in the cans I
had installed, installed a floating floor in one of the master bedroom closets,
and installed a toilet. I needed to quit a little early has I needed to be home
and cleaned up to leave for our church Sunday school men’s night out. Cheri
also needed to get ready as they were having a ladies night out. It was around
8:30 pm when we got home. We were both exhausted from the day’s work and still
stressed out. So we called it a night and headed for the bed. Thank you God
helping us today.

The
morning was spent making phone calls for Grandma’s passing, can’t believe all
the things that have to be done. Cheri went through old pictures that Grandma
had and sorted out ones for our family and friends. We stopped at the post office
to get Grandma’s mail forwarded to us and send out the pictures. We stopped by
the pharmacy to get the best plan for our Medicare Part D for next year. We
made a stop at the bank and then to Grandma’s to start cleaning out the house. It
was an all day job and still lots left to do. I was supposed to work over in
Tampa Bay country but called and told them what happened to Grandma and they
were very supportive. This evening we went out for dinner with Ron and Sandy.
We went to Plaza Mexico which was very good. When we got home we tried to watch
some TV but was too tired and decided to go to bed early. Nothing we did today
was very hard but was stressful for us. Thank you God for getting us through
another day.

Normally
I start out the morning letting you know if Grandma was going to church with
us, but today I can say she is already with Jesus and able to hear him and hear
the music. I wasn’t sure if we were going to church but realized that is the
place we needed to be with God and church friends. Pastor Randy’s message was “A
Faith That has been tested” from 1 Peter 1:5-7. Our Sunday school lesson was “Walking
Differently” from Ephesians 4:17-32. We believers are to live a life that is
different from those who reject Christ. This afternoon we had a meeting at the funeral
home. Grandma will be cremated and will be buried back in Wisconsin. On the way
home we stopped by Grandma’s and picked up a few things along with old photo
albums. When we got home I felt like we were in some kind of daze. We made a
few phone calls to family members, looked at the old photo albums, watched the
NASCAR race, and some of the Packer football game. Thank you God for a blessed
day with you and church friends.

Cheri
and I didn’t have a good night’s sleep. We did go for breakfast at the
Hole-in-One donut shop. We are in kind of a daze today trying to wrap our minds
around on what needs to be done. Throughout the day we made many call letting
people know about passing of Grandma. I did take time to repair a window here
in the park as I received the parts for it last week. Cheri and I went over to
Grandma’s to clean out the refrigerator and bring food home. Later in the
afternoon Cheri and I picked up a book case that a lady here in the park
donated and deliver it to the church. When we got home I removed the sun
screens from our neighbor’s windows as she is having her house power washed
Monday. Cheri put a pot roast in the crock pot this morning so we could have it
for supper this evening. We received many calls from family and friends and
they did help us get through the day. We had an early supper as we didn’t stop
for any lunch today. We both napped through the TV shows we were trying to
watch and decide call it a night early. We needed a lot of help to get through the
day and God and friends were there to help us. Thank you for all the prayers
phone calls.

Cheri
got the laundry started this morning and then went to be with Grandma as she
was still in the ICU. I had a job over in Tampa Bay country that I had to get
done today. I was home by 3:00 pm. I got cleaned up and went to be with Grandma
and Cheri. Grandma was having a really bad day and was in a lot of pain. The
ICU closes from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. So at 6:00 pm we stopped to see Steve
our church friend who had gallbladder surgery today. He was doing well and
should be released to go home tomorrow. We went to Calver’s for supper and
while there the nurse called and said that we should come back to the hospital because
Grandma was very restless and not doing well. So after we eat we headed back to
the hospital. They gave her a mild sanative to settle her down. After an hour
or more she settled down and seemed to be resting. Not seeing any change Cheri
and I went home. The nurse said that he would call if anything change so we
went home to get some rest. About an hour later we got a call to come back.
With a heavy heart I am here to tell you she pasted at 10:42 pm about ten
minutes before we got there. She is now with God, no more pain, and able to
hear the music. Thank you God for everything you do for us and taking Grandma
home.

Grandma hasn’t been feeling very well for the
last week with a cold and sore throat. She had a doctor’s appointment this
morning which Cheri took her for. Well the doctor thought she had pneumonia and sent her to the ER. They
have done all kinds of test and know she has a bad infection but don’t know
what is causing it. She is now the ICU and is very sick. I was in the middle of
work and could leave the project I was working on. I had water shut off to the
house and doing a plumbing project in the bathroom. I also removed a shelf
above the washer and dryer and cut it down and reinstalled it on a different
wall to make room for laundry cabinets above the washer and dryer. When I got
home I cleaned up and headed to the hospital to be with Grandma and Cheri. We
left her at 6:00 pm as she was napping. We stopped to visit one of our church
friends that is in the hospital who is having gallbladder surgery tomorrow.
After the visit Cheri headed for home and I went to Jersey Mike’s to pick up
Subs for our supper. We watched a little TV before calling it a night. Cheri
was really tired and stressed from the day with Grandma not knowing what’s
going on and I was tired from my day’s work. Thank you God for helping us through
the day.

We didn’t get a very good night’s
sleep as the dog next door barked continually from 8:00 pm until midnight. Cheri did her Wednesday housework and then
spent most of the day in her sewing room working on a new pillow project. I was
back at work in Tampa Bay country I finished the installation of the can lights
except need two more bulbs. I installed a new dimmer switch for the kitchen
lights. They put in new LED bulbs and had to have a dimmer switch for LED
bulbs. Worked in the bathroom. The water line for the toilet was coming out the
side of the vanity and going down to the floor by the toilet. I couldn’t figure
out why it was done until I opened up the wall. There was a water line for the
toilet just inside the wall. When the house was built the rough in for the
water lines was done correctly but somewhere further back to the main water source
the hot and cold water was reversed. So tomorrow I will be working on that
project. On the way home I stopped at another place to do a measurement for a
new refrigerator and install new hinges on five cabinet doors. Once again it
was near 6:30 pm when I got home. We had leftovers from last night’s supper,
still very good. It was another evening with the TV watching recorded shows. We
are getting behind on the recorded shows, can’t stay wake to watch more than a
couple each night. Thank you God for guiding us through another day.

My day started with my accountability
group breakfast and Bible study. There were only seven of us today. Others had
doctor appointments or sick with colds. We are studying John chapter six. While
I was talking with the group someone put their hand on my back and turned to
see Pam and Mike there for breakfast. When I got home I loaded the truck for a
new project over in Tampa Bay country. I am putting can lights in a vaulted ceiling
which is 10 to 14 feet high. It took a lot of planning to make sure I didn’t
run into any ceiling joist or air conditioning ducts. Plus getting them where
the customer wanted them. I did get the holes cut and wire run today. On the
way home I stopped to repair the bifold doors I did a temporary fix on Sunday.
It was 6:30 pm when I got home. Cheri was busy with Tuesday house work,
haircut, visit with Jean, and fixing a Mexican super for us. It was very good
and will have leftovers tomorrow. It was a normal evening of TV. I forgot to
take pictures of can light installation and will try to remember tomorrow.
Thank you God for a blessed day and studying your word.

I went with Cheri for her
heart doctor’s appointment at 9:30 am. Nothing has changed and is still in
A-fib. He did reduce one of her medications. He was happy with the history on
her blood pressure. When we got home Cheri started working with her normal
Monday house work. I headed for the bathroom project. By 5:30 pm I was done
with that project. I unloaded some tools and lumber from the truck and put in
plumbing supplies and headed for my next project. I got a call this morning
that Sunday school friends had a water leak under their kitchen sink. I fixed
the sink drain and tighten the packing in the water shutoff valves has they
were leaking form turning them off and back on again. It is just a temporary
fix and will have to install new valves. On the way home I stopped at Lowe’s to
pick up some bifold door repair parts and to get new shutoff valves which they
didn’t have and will have to go to Home Depot. It was after 7:00 pm when I got
home. Cheri reheated up my supper while I took a shower. It was 8:00 pm by the
time we were ready to settle in for the evening.

Grandma didn’t go to
church with us today as she has a bad cold and sore throat. Pastor Randy’s
message today was “Our Hope & Glory” from 1 Peter 1:3-4. Our Sunday school
teacher Charlie wasn’t with us today as he was at his grandson’s baptism. So
Jerry one of the participants filled in for him. Jerry did a good job with the
lesson which was “Walking Forward” from Ephesians 4:11-16. Christ gives the
church gifted leaders to help believers mature and minister. When we got home
we settled in our recliners to watch the Green Bay Packer football game I was
recording and then the NASCAR race. We just started watching the football game
when I got a call from a couple in Tamp Bay country that had a closet door that
came down and wanted know if I could come and fix it as they were having an
open house this afternoon. So I headed out to fix it. I was able to get it hung
again opens and closes ok but I need to get some new parts for it. Then it was
back home to watch the game when Nikki called and visited with her. Finally got
to watch the rest of the game and then watched the NASCR race. We didn’t watch
the whole race just some of the highlights. We had usual Sunday evening pizza
for supper and watched a couple more shows before calling it a night. Thank you
God for being with you and Christian friends today.

We left the house a little
pass 7:00 am heading to the Hole-in-One donut shop in a down pour of rain. The
things we go through just to have a donut. I checked the rain gauge when we got
home and received 4 ¾ inches of rain last night and this morning. Cheri went to
Wal-Mart to pick up Grandma’s medicine but they still hadn’t got anything from
the doctor for the refill. Someone dropped the ball. I was back at work on the
bathroom project. I had it in my mind that I might get the project done today
but that didn’t happen. I still have caulking, floor repair, install safety bars,
shower curtain rod, and touch up painting. I also got a call today to do another
shower but told them I couldn’t do it. I already have work booked out for a
month. When I got home Cheri was working in her sewing room. After I got
cleaned up I settled in to watch the Wisconsin Badger football game which they
lost. Cheri fixed us breakfast for supper. We had scrambled eggs with ham and
toast. This evening Mike and Kathy came over to play aggravation we played
several games and was a lot of fun. Thank you God for guiding us through the
day and time spent with friends.

Cheri was busy with the
laundry this morning. She did her normal Friday housework and then spent time
in her sewing room. I continued working on the shower project. I started the
day by putting on a coat of primer paint. Then I worked on installing the water
valve and did a water test to make sure there wasn’t any leaks. Then I put on a
finish coat of paint. Next it was time to install the underlayment I cut out
yesterday. The weather report this morning said that we would have rain by 9:00
am and the off and on all day. I wasn’t happy to hear that as I had to cut the
shower wall panels which had to be done outside. It was late in the afternoon as
I couldn’t get measurements of the panels until the underlayment was installed.
God was with me as we didn’t have any rain until after I got the panels cut. I
just got done and it started raining. I got the shower panels installed and was
going to try and get the corner panels installed but I need to do some trimming
around the window. It was already 5:20 pm and decided to stop for the day.
Cheri started supper while I showered and got cleaned up. We had ham steak
along with potatoes with butter and onions. We went to bed early as I couldn’t
stay awake to watch TV. Cheri continued to watch TV in bed. Thank you God for a
blessed day.

It was a good day for
Cheri and me. Cheri was busy with laundry this morning and then took Grandma
for her lab appointment. After getting Grandma back home she went for medicine
and groceries for Grandma and a few things for us. When she got home she
finished the laundry and spent some time in her sewing room. I was back to work
on the bathroom project. I got another coat of plaster on, the water plumbing
done, and the underlayment cut out and ready to install. It was 4:00 pm when I
got home. Cheri started supper while I took a shower and got cleaned up. After
supper I went and looked at another job of running a water line to a new refrigerator.
This evening Cheri called her girlfriend (Pat) to wish her a happy birthday and
had a nice visit with her. The rest of the evening was spent watching TV. Thank
you God for all the guidance you provided for us.

I loaded a few extra
things in the truck that I was going to need for the day. So it was back to
work on the bathroom shower project today. I got a second coat of plaster on
the wall, got the shower base installed, and got the drain and vent plumbing
done. Still waiting for a shower valve rough in kit that should have been here
today but didn’t come. It was 4:00 pm when I got home. Cheri did her normal
Wednesday house work, ordering medicine for Grandma, and spent time in her
sewing room. We had leftover lasagna for supper. We had a cookie and some
M&M’s while watching recorded TV shows. Thank you God for a productive day.

I left the house at 7:00
am for my accountability group breakfast and Bible study. We finished up John
chapter five, good stuff. From there I headed to the bathroom project. I spent
most of the day preparing and plastering the wall to get it evened out for the
underlayment I will be installing. I will have at least two more coats of
plaster to do. Made a trip to Lowe’s to get plumbing materials and some
underlayment. I wasn’t able to get everything I needed as they were out of what
I wanted. Cheri was busy with Tuesday house work and a visit with Jean our next
door neighbor, something they do every Tuesday. Cheri fixed us lasagna and
garlic bread for supper. After supper we went over Tampa Bay country to pick up
a tool that I was letting a person use. From there we went to Home Depot where
I found all the plumbing materials I needed and the underlayment which was much
better than what Lowe’s had. Our last stop was Harbor Freight to pick up some
pin nails. It was near 7:30 pm when we got home. We were both tired so it was a
short evening of TV.

I took Grandma for her
8:45 am foot doctor’s appointment. She is having trouble with a sore between
her toes and has to go to the doctor to have it taken care of. I started a new
job today of removing a garden tub and installing a shower. Things went well
but still a lot to do. Have a lot of work to do to the walls as the shower base
isn’t as big as the garden tub was, also have to lay a new bathroom floor. Cheri
did her Monday house work and then took the rest of the day to get caught up on
sleep and energy. It was 4:00 pm when I got home and was hot and tired, ready
for nice hot shower which made me feel better. We had leftover chicken gravy
over biscuits for supper. I settled in to watch the rest of the NASCAR race
that was postponed from yesterday because of rain. We watched a couple of shows
before the Green Bay Packer football game started. I watched it and didn’t get
over until after 11:30 pm which is pretty late for me. The Packers did win with
a field goal with one second on the clock and won the game by one point. Thank
you God for a blessed and productive day.

Cheri didn’t sleep last
night as she had a lot on her mind with doing the Linger Longer. So she was up
at 5:00 am to bake biscuits for Linger Longer and busy getting things packed up
to take to church. Grandma did go to church with us today. As soon as we got to
church I helped unload all the food and supplies Cheri needed in the church
kitchen. She spent the rest of the morning preparing the noon meal along with
help from the other ladies in our Sunday school class. After church and Sunday
school it was time for all of us to have dinner and fellowship together. I did
a count and there were 47 people. It was a good time for all of us. It was 2:00
pm when we got home. After Cheri got thing put away she went to bed for a much
needed nap. I settled in to watch the NASCAR race that ended in a rain delay
and will be run tomorrow afternoon. A while later Cheri joined me and we watch
several shows we had recorded. We were both still full from our noon meal so we
skipped the pizza night and settled for a bowl of ice cream. Thank you God for

I know it is Saturday
because Cheri and I went to Hole in One donut shop for breakfast at 7:00 am. At
9:00 am Cheri headed out to Ollie’s and the Dollar Store to get some containers
for taking things to church tomorrow. She deboned six chickens as she is making
biscuits and chicken gravy for our Linger Longer. She is cooking for 50 people.
So she had a busy day getting everything ready for tomorrow. I went to Lowe’s
to get some drain cleaner and then to Grandma’s to get the bathroom drain unclogged.
I added the drain cleaner and waited fifteen minutes and the pored bowling hot
water down the drain. I did this twice and the drain is now working OK. From
there I went to Ron and Sandy’s to continue looking for the open neutral wire
on the bathroom circuit. I found a way to do a work around. I then plugged in
power speaker and the outlet was dead and figured I tripped a breaker but when
I checked the breaker was OK. Then the search was on to try and find where the
circuit was open. After much searching I had it down to the wiring from an
outlet in the garage to the breaker box. I keep saying there has to be a ground
fault breaker but couldn’t find one. After moving a bunch of boxes by the wall
in the garage there was the ground fault breaker. Then I had to remove the work
around I had done before I could reset the ground fault breaker. The breaker
must have been faulty because of the partly open neutral. I tripped it and
reset it several times and seems to be OK. It was around 4:00 pm when I got
home. Cheri just got done with all of her work. I got cleaned up and settled in
to watch the Wisconsin Badger football game. We had leftover ribs along with a
baked potato for supper and then later a dish of Ice cream. Thank you God for
guiding us through another day.

Cheri and I left the house
at 8:15 am as she had an eye appointment up in Brookville which is a little
over an hour away. She got a good report and doesn’t have to go back for a
year. After her appointment we stopped at Sam’s club to get 6 rotisserie
chickens and 2 large bags of biscuits. Cheri will be fixing biscuits with
chicken gravy for our Linger Longer Sunday after Sunday school.
When we got home she went
right to work on deboning the chickens. I had a toilet to go and repair. It was
leaking so I install all new parts in it. I also made a stop at Donna’s has she
has a book case she wants to donate to our church. So I took some pictures of
it to show Pastor Randy Sunday to see if they want it. About the time we were
going to meet Mike and Pam for supper at Culver’s I got a call from Grandma
that her toilet was plug and needed me to come over and get it working again. I
told her it would be after we had supper with Mike and Pam. I did get the
toilet unplugged but the sink is draining slowly and will have to go back
tomorrow to check it out. It was 7:30 pm when we finally got home. It was a
normal evening of TV. Thank you God for safe travels and good results on Cheri’s

It was a busy day for us.
I removed a 12 foot built in cabinet unit which I was able to take apart and
haul it to Habitat for Humanity. By 2:00 pm had that project done. I had gotten
a call from Mike and Pam and said that they lost power in their garage so this
afternoon I went over to see what the problem was. It turned out to be a faulty
GFI breaker. I replaced it and all is working. From there I went back to Ron
and Sandy’s has they still have a problem with some receptacles. The tester
shows that there is a high joint or partial open in the neutral lead. I did a
lot of checking and by 5:45 pm I still had found the problem. I decided to quit
for the day and try again on Saturday. It was after 6:00 pm when I got home.
Cheri was busy with laundry, helping me load the cabinet unit into the truck,
and working in her sewing room. We had leftovers for supper and had a bowl of
ice cream while watching TV. I have posted a picture of the cabinet unit I
removed and a picture of the bedroom flooring installed for Ron and Sandy

I unloaded the truck this
morning and then went to repair a window for a customer here in our park. I
found the window lift was broken and ordered a new set of lifts for the window.
Cheri and I headed out with a stop at the bank and then took the car through
the car wash while it was raining. Sounds kind a stupid washing a car when it
is raining but had a collection of love bugs that needed to be removed. We
stopped to see Grandma and to take her for a flu shot. Cheri forgot that she
already had one when she got her B-12 shot. So Cheri and I headed to the pharmacy
to pick up her medicine and get our flu shots. We got the medicine but could
get the flu shots until after 4:00 pm. When we got home Cheri went to work in
her sewing room. I headed out to repair a self that had been overloaded and
came down. They also want new cabinet door hinges so when I got home I order
them. Then I made a trip downtown to get the new shower base and surround for
the bathroom project I will be starting Monday. At 5:00 pm we went and got the

Today was a good day and
why wouldn’t it be when you have breakfast and Bible study with a group of men.
There were ten of us this morning. We are studying the book of John chapter
five. I was back to work on the flooring project and got that completed along
with fixing an electrical problem. We have had rain off and on the last two
days and was able to get my saw and tools home and unloaded before it rained
again. Cheri was busy with house work, a visit with Jean, and making me a batch
of chocolate chip cookies. She still gets tired and has to rest more. Late this
afternoon I called Donna Perkins and invited her to go out with us to Culver’s for
supper. We hadn’t seen her since she got back from Wisconsin for the summer. We
had a good visit and didn’t get home until 7:30 pm. We settled in for an

My work for today was to
lay a bedroom floor. While loading the tools in the truck this morning I couldn’t
find my floor laying tools. I look everywhere for them. After thinking about
where they could be. I remember taking them to Wisconsin to lay a bathroom
floor for Nikki and had run out of time and didn’t get it done. Long story
short I had left them in Wisconsin. So I made a trip over to Lowe’s to buy a
new set of tools. So it was around 9:30 am when I got to work on the flooring
project. Things went well and got all the flooring laid today. I still have to
put quarter round down and install transition strips which I will do tomorrow.
Cheri was busy shopping for a few things we needed, talking to CARES for
Grandma, and working in her sewing room. It was around 5:30 pm when I got home
from work. We had leftovers for supper and then a dish of ice cream later while
watch TV. We were both tired and couldn’t stay awake to watch Dancing with the

The weather pattern is

Christ dwelling in us. It was around 1:00 pm when we got home. We called our
daughter Kari to wish her a happy birthday and had a nice visit with her. Cheri
and I settled in for an afternoon and evening of TV. We watched a Hallmark
movie and then watching the NASCAR race and the Green Bay Packer football game
that I recorded. We had our normal Sunday evening pizza for supper. Thank you
God for our time spent with you and church friends today.

We met Mike and Pam at
Hole in One donut shop at 7:15 am. We had a good visit catching up on what we
all have been doing. It has been a few weeks since we were last together. When
we got home I headed outside to work on getting all my screws rearranged along
with the other tools. I had the truck bed empty from hauling the old TV away.
So it was a good time to go through everything. At 11:00 am I went over to
Grandma’s as I had an appointment with the cable guy to install a new cable box
for Grandma. He also run a new cable to the house. So now Grandma has a new TV
and a good clear picture to watch. On the way home I stopped at Lowe’s and
bought a few things that I think will work better for the drip tray I am
working on for the Sunday school kitchen. So when I got home I worked on that
project. I did get it done and will take it with us to church tomorrow to see
if it will work. I also check out another job here in the park. A lady wants a
built in ten foot base cabinet with glass door uppers and mirrors in between
the upper cabinets removed. So one day late next week I will be doing the
removal project. I was done for the day by 4:00 pm. I got cleaned up and
settled in to watch the Wisconsin Badger football game I had recorded. Cheri
washed a load of towels that I use for work and then spent the day in her
sewing room. Cheri fixed a new recipe in the Instant Pot which was pretty good.
After supper we settled in for an evening of TV. Thank you God for a blessed
day.

Cheri and I went out for
breakfast again this morning at the Village Inn. On the way home we made a stop
at a new pharmacy to check it out. We have heard many good things about it and
was impressed how nice they were and all the help with Cheri’s medications. So
we had her meds transferred. We also stopped at Lowe’s has I needed a part to
finish the install of the Kitchen hood vent that I started on yesterday. I
dropped Cheri off at home and she already had a load of laundry going. I headed
out and finished the hood install. Then Cheri and I went over to Grandma’s and
installed a new TV. The cable box was so old that it didn’t have an HDMI jack
on it. So Spectrum is coming out tomorrow to install a new cable box. I dropped
Cheri off at home and then took the old TV to the recycle center. They no
longer charge for disposal for TV’s. I have been trying to figure out how to
install a drip tray for the coffee pots in our Sunday school kitchen. I picked
up some different materials to see if I can make a mounting bracket for the
drip tray I bought. By the time all was said and done it was 4:00 pm. Time to
get cleaned up and settle in for the rest of the day and evening. I napped
through one of the shows we were watching. After supper I was able to stay
awake for the evening of TV. Thank you God for a wonderful and productive day.

Things didn’t go as I had
planned today but God guided me through what had to be done and things that
needed to be done. Cheri and I headed to Dade City to have breakfast at the
Black Eyed Pea. We have been there before and is very good. After breakfast we
stopped by church to clean up the Sunday school kitchen. I had finished the
backsplash but needed to get the tile buffed and clean the counters, sink, and
floor. I dropped Cheri off at home so she could continue with the laundry and I
went over to Grandma’s I had gotten an e-mail that said she was having trouble
with her computer, trouble with the TV, spray for bugs, and get rid of some
hornets that were building a nest. Well I couldn’t fix the computer but did get
a work around so she was able to do what she wanted. Her TV is in bad shape and
will have to get her a new one. I got rid of the hornet nest and got the
spraying done. By this time it was noon and decided to install the new kitchen
stove hood customer in our park which should only take an hour. Well that didn’t
turn out to be the case. The power for the new one came in on the opposite side
from the old one. Which means I had to do some power work. The problem was I
had to be done by 2:15 pm which didn’t happen. I had an appointment at 2:45 pm
to go with Jim Wilson and Charlie Rodgers to go see Curt Rodgers in the rehab center.
He just had hip replacement and was staying in the rehab center until he could
go home. So long story short I have to go back tomorrow to finish the stove
hood installation plus a new TV for Grandma. Cheri fixed us leftover chicken
gravy over biscuits and later ice cream while watching TV. Thank you God for
helping us through another day.

I had trouble getting my
body out of bed this morning and didn’t get up until 5:30 am. I was still able
to be at the church Sunday school kitchen at 8:30 am to work on the backsplash.
By 2:30 pm I was done with the install. I still have to go back tomorrow to
buff the tile and clean up counter tops, sink, and floor. I had an appointment
in our park this afternoon. A lady that just moved into our park wanted me to
clean the dryer vent. She was told that the washing machine didn’t work so I
checked it out. I run it through a small load cycle and everything worked. I
not sure maybe one of the other setting doesn’t work. So she is going to clean
it up and try washing a load. I took the truck through the car wash to get the
love bugs off. I didn’t see any today I hope the season is over for them. On
the way home I stopped by my barber to see if he had an opening for a haircut and
was able to get right in. Cheri was busy with her Wednesday house work and made
a trip to the grocery store. For supper Cheri made a new recipe of chicken
gravy to have over fresh baked biscuits and was very good. Later while watching
TV we had a bowl of ice cream. Thank you God for guiding us through another day.

Wow it’s the first of
October, the last two months have gone by so fast. I was up before 4:00 am this
morning had a lot on my mind and didn’t sleep well. I was at Lowe’s at 6:30 am
picking up things I needed for the day. Then I went for our accountability group
breakfast and Bible study. We studied John 4:27-54. After breakfast I headed to
Tampa Bay country to change batteries in smoke detectors. She called me
yesterday at 5:30 pm just as I got home from work and wanted me to come and
change them. I told her I just got home and could do it until tomorrow. After I
got the batteries changed I delivered the wainscoting, trim, glue, and caulking
for another customer. She said that she is going to have her son do the
install. But I think she will be calling me to do it. Then I headed for Dade
City to continue working on the Sunday school kitchen backsplash. I got the
rest of the tile installed and about 75 percent of the grout installed. I would
like to get done tomorrow but still a lot of touch up work that will have to be
done. Cheri was busy with her Tuesday house work. She made a trip to the Dade
City quilt shop to get material for the backing on her quilt project. Out
neighbor Jean a came for a visit. Cheri did watch Dancing with the Stars this afternoon.
Cheri fixed us pork chops and fresh fried potatoes and milk gravy for supper. We
settled in for an evening of TV. Thank you God for a blessed day.

I left the house at 8:15
am to go to Dade City to work on installing the backsplash in the Sunday school
kitchen. I also brought the vanity top that I cut to be picked up at Sunday
school. My backsplash tile went well and by 5:00 pm I had it about 95 percent
installed. It was a very long day and was after 5:30 pm when I got home. Cheri
fixed us a ribeye steak with baked potatoes and gravy for supper. Cheri tried
working in her sewing room today but things didn’t come together for her so
decided not to try any more today. We did watch a little TV but went to bed early
as we were both tired. Cheri didn’t even watch Dancing with the Stars. I am
sure she will be watching it tomorrow as it has been recorded. Thank you God
for the day you blessed us with.
