I was back at work in
Tampa Bay country for Jan and Patty. Today I worked on getting the plumbing
done in the master bathroom vanity. It was work getting the drains hooked up as
nothing was uniform in the way the water and drains were run. After everything
was hooked up I ended up with a couple of leaks. I had to use some Teflon tape
which I never had to use supply lines before. I also had some electrical work
to do in the bathroom. I was finally done by 4:00 pm and was home a little
before 5:00 pm. After all the crawling around under cabinets I was hurting in
the back and neck. I felt better after a good hot shower. Cheri was busy today with
the laundry and going to Hobby Lobby to get a few things for a project she is
doing. Cheri fixed us leftover brats and potato salad for supper. Later while
watching TV we had some leftover blueberry cobbler. We watched another mystery
movie and the FBI before calling it a night. Thank you God for guiding us
through this day.

Our car and truck are
really dirty and this being Wednesday and special price for wash jobs I headed
out this morning to get them washed but the car wash was shut down for repairs.
I did stop at the bank to make a deposit on the way home. I did some computer
work while Cheri did some of her Wednesday house work. We picked up Donna
Perkins at 10:30 am and went to Plant City to visit the Mercantile. Donna is
looking to install pallet boards on one wall of her lanai. We knew the
Mercantile had a lot of pallet wood on their walls. After Donna checked it out
she decided that it was something she didn’t want. From there we headed over to
Fred’s restaurant for lunch. When we got home Cheri decided to go shopping and
I went to church to repair the front doors. One of them couldn’t be unlocked
and one wouldn’t close right. After several adjustments I got them working.
When I got home I decided I was done for the day. Cheri said did you get a
lottery ticket and said I forgot. So I did go to get one and a lady stopped me
and asked me if I had a couple dollars I could give her. She said she needed
some food for her children. So we walked over to Winn Dixie and I bought her a
box of chicken and some biscuits. Yes I did remember to get the tickets. We
didn’t have any supper because of the big lunch we had. This evening we watched
a murder mystery movie while having some popcorn, cookies, and some juice.
Thank you God for a blessed day.

I left the house at 7:00
am to have breakfast and Bible study with the accountability group. There were
twelve of us today. We finished up chapter fourteen. One verse that stuck in my
mine today is John 14:24 (Jesus speaking) Anyone who does not love me will not
obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the
Father who sent me. Cheri and I left the house at 11:00 am heading to Busch
Gardens. The show we saw today was Tribute to Sir Elton John & Billy Joel.
Cheri and I were some disappointed as the backup band was so loud that you
couldn’t hear the pianos which went for half of the show. When it was just the
pianos it was really good. On the way out of the park we stopped and checked
out the kangaroo’s. Fun to watch them hop around the area. Most of them were
laying in the sun to stay warm. Saw one mother with the baby in the pouch. When
we got back in Zephyrhills we stopped at Sonny’s for supper. Cheri had a beef brisket
and I had baby back ribs. It was a good meal and was home around 5:00 pm. It
was a normal evening of watching recorded TV shows and a dish of ice cream for
dessert. Thank you God for a wonderful day.

I headed outside at 7:30
am to get the truck loaded with the table saw and other materials I needed for
the day. I was back at work over in Tampa Bay country for Jan and Patty. Today
I worked on installing the bathroom vanity. I installed a backer panel on the
wall to hide the exposed plumbing as the new vanity had an open back. I had to
cut two filler pieces for the each end of the vanity. It also took a while to
get the vanity leveled up as the floor wasn’t level. There wasn’t any tile
under the old vanity and when the new tile was install I thought the floor
would be level, but that wasn’t the case. After that was done I reinstalled the
transition strips in the bathroom door and closet doors as the tile guy didn’t
do it. I was done a little earlier today and felt good that everything went
well. I also loaded their old microwave and took it with me and dropped it off
at Larry and Denise’s as their microwave at a broken door handle. It was near
5:00 pm when I got home. I sat down and talked with Cheri about my and her day.
Then it was time for me to get cleaned up. Cheri had done her normal Monday
house work and then worked in her sewing room. She had supper going when I got
home fixing brats a new way by baking them in the oven. They were really good
and also had homemade potato salad. For dessert Cheri made a blueberry cobbler.
She really does take care of me. This evening was a normal evening of TV. When
we went to bed Cheri gave me a much needed back massage. Thank you God for a
blessed day.

It was a little colder
this morning with a temp of 42 degrees but turned to be a nice day of sunshine
and a temp of 70 degrees. Pastor Randy was sick today with the stomach flu so
Pastor Paul filled in for him. It is the first time we have heard him speak and
had a good message on how we need to be right with God as we don’t know how
long we have here on earth. Our Sunday school lesson was titled “Honored”. God is honored when His people listen to,
follow, and teach His Word. We had over 50 people in class today and about run
out of chairs. On the way home from church we stopped at Walmart for a few
things we needed. After we got home Cheri settled in her recliner to watch some
TV. I changed my clothes and headed to Home Depot to get some materials for
work tomorrow. When I got home I cut a piece of plywood for a backer on the
vanities I will install tomorrow. With that done it was time for me to settle
in with Cheri to watch a mystery movie we had recorded. We had our normal Sunday
evening pizza for supper and then more recorded TV shows. Thank you God for
time spent with you and our christen friends today.

Cheri and I left the house a little before
7:00 am to have our normal Saturday breakfast at the Hole-in-One donut shop.
When we got home Cheri said that she was going to spend the day in her sewing
room along with doing the laundry. I got the truck loaded with the materials I needed
for the day and headed to Tampa Bay country to work for Jan and Patty. I worked
on moving water hookup for the new vanities. I had to do some plaster work
before the vanities can be installed. We found a problem with the drawers in
one of the vanities as the factory use two different types of drawer hardware
that didn’t work together. Patty contacted Home Depot and now wait to see what
they are going to do. I installed the new cabinet door in the kitchen as one
was damage on the main installation. I reinstalled the closet door floor guides
that the tile guys didn’t do. That was pretty much my day. I was by 4:30 pm and
ready for a hot shower which made me feel better. Cheri showed me the progress
she got made on her new quilt project. Cheri fixed us hot ham sandwiches with
chips and cookies for dessert. We spent the rest of the evening watching
recorded episodes of Gold Rush. Thank you God for a blessed day.

First I want to wish our
son Darren a happy 41 birthday. It was 58 degree this morning and turned to be
a pleasant day but very little sunshine. Cheri and I went to the Village Inn
for our normal Friday morning breakfast. I had an appointment with Donna
Perkins to go with her to Sun State which will be doing the rebuild of her
liana. I think she wanted me for moral support and to help her understand what
was going to be done. This afternoon I had two toilets to repair for a lady
here in the park. Later I took the old dishwasher along with some other things
I need to get rid of to the recycle center. From there I stopped at Lowe’s to
return a couple of items I didn’t need. Then a stop at Mike and Pam’s to see if
they wanted the microwave I removed from Patty and Jan’s as it is only four
years old but wasn’t the right color for Mike and Pam. Cheri spent the day in
her sewing room working on a new project. We had left overs for supper and a
normal evening of TV with some ice cream. Thank you God for guiding us through
this day.

It was a better morning as
the temp was 54 degrees much more to my liking. I was back to work over in
Tampa Bay country for Jan and Patty. I worked on getting the plumbing done
under new kitchen sink. I also installed some baseboard. I had another stop to
repair a toilet. I was home by 5:00 pm. Cheri was busy with the laundry and she
finished her latest quilt project. Cheri fixed us ham and scallop potatoes for
supper along with cookies for dessert. This evening we watched the shows Swat,
FBI, and a home renovation show before calling it a night. Thank you God for another
blessed day.

Well it was colder this
morning with a temp of 29 degrees and windy which made it very cold. I didn’t
have any work today because we along with Larry and Denise are going to Busch Gardens.
So we took our time getting around this morning and Cheri fixed us a breakfast
of eggs, hash browns, ham, toast, juice, and coffee. What could be better on a
cold morning? We dressed warm for the day because we would be out in the cold
at Busch Gardens. We picked up Larry and Denise at 11:00 am. Our walk was more brisk
to get out of the cold. Our first stop was to see the Rock A Doo Wop show. It was an excellent show with a lot of high
energy. While waiting for the theater to open for the BJ Thomas show we got
some popcorn and drink and watched the Log plume ride while standing in the sun
to keep warm. We were disappointed with the BJ Thomas show, although there were
a lot of people that did like it. I just had the feeling like he didn’t care if
he was there or not. After the show we headed over by the Orangutans, Cheri and Denise got some great pictures. Then we headed out of the park and stopped at
Apple Bee’s for dinner. We all had a good meal. We drop Larry and Denise off
and was 5:30 pm when we got home. After unloading the car and short break we
headed over Donna Perkins as she is remolding her lanai and wanted me to help
her get a lay out on what needed to be done to install new windows and patio
doors. I will be going with her to Sun State to see what they have planned for
her and help her make some decisions. It was 7:30 pm when we got home. It was a
short evening of TV. Thank you God for a blessed day spending it with good friends
and safe travels.

It was a cold 37 degrees
this morning with a stiff breeze and never got out of the 50’s. We had a good turnout
for our Tuesday morning Bible study and breakfast. There were thirteen of us as
more snow birds have returned from the North Country. We finished John chapter thirteen
and the first part of chapter fourteen. Cheri left at 9:45 am to have a
gathering with Sunday school ladies. I went to work on removing the old
dishwasher that had to be retired as it didn’t want to work anymore. Then
install the new one that Jan and Patty gave us. I had to make some changes to
the electrical as the old one was hard wired and the new one needed and outlet.
I also had to modify the side of the cabinet for the water and drain. In the
middle of the project I got a call from Ron Sharp and said that they had a
power outage last night and didn’t have any power to the garage. He reset the
main breaker to the garage but still didn’t have power to the outlets. He said
that he reset the ground fault breakers but still didn’t have any power. So I
took a break from the dishwasher project and went to see if I could fix the
problem. It turned out to be the ground fault breakers needed to be reset. Ron
didn’t push the reset buttons in far enough for them to reset. When I got home
I had a sandwich for lunch and took time to get the ham in the oven and crockpot
which I am taking for our Men’s Night Out this evening. Cheri got home around
1:30 pm. She did help me with the dishwasher and then went to her sewing room.
It was near 4:00 pm when I got done with the dishwasher. Cheri helped me get
the ham cutting and ready to take for this evening. There were nineteen of us
for Men’s Night Out. We had a good meal and spent the rest of the time of how
we could do more for out church and additional project in our Sunday school
building. It was near 9:00 pm when I arrived home. Thank you God for a blessed
day.

I was awake a 4:00 am so I
got up and the temp was 61 degrees and by 8:00 am it was 42 degrees and breezy.
Yes I still remember what really cold up north is but after living here in
Florida our bodies change and get use to the weather here. So long story short
it is cold here. I was back at work in Tampa Bay country for Jan and Pattie. I
got the electrical work done in the kitchen and the kitchen sink ready to
install. The countertop people are coming tomorrow to install the countertops.
So I will be going back on Thursday to do the kitchen plumbing. I also put
another coat of plaster on in the kitchen. I was home by 3:30 pm, was nice to
be home earlier. Cheri had just finished making a batch of chocolate chip
cookie. Sure did smell good when I came in. Cheri was also busy with the usual
Monday house work. We watch a movie before supper which I napped through. After
supper we watch the three Chicago shows. We always try to watch them in the
order that they are recorded because we never know if they are linked together.
Thank you God for a blessed day.

Cheri and left the house
at 8:30 am heading to church and Sunday school. Pastor Randy’s message was
titled “Our Position in Christ” from 1 Peter2:9. Sunday school lesson was
titled “Valued”. God values human life and expects His people to value it as
well. Cheri got several comments on the good job she did with the buffet
cabinet she refurbished. On the way home we stopped at Publix’s to pick up the
ham for Men’s Night Out on Tuesday. It was around 1:30 pm when we got home. We
didn’t see much for sunshine today as it was mostly cloudy and a couple of
showers. The warm weather is supposed to be over for the next with days as a
front is moving in with some colder weather. Later this afternoon we tried to
call Darren and Brooke but didn’t get an answer. We also tried to call Nikki
and no answer from her either. We watched a couple of movies with me napping
through them. We did get a call from Nikki later in the evening. We watched the
Green Bay packer football game against San Francisco. I was pretty sure that
the Packers were going to lose but that they would have done better. Thank you
God for time spent with you and friends.

Our day started 7:30 with
our trip to Hole-in-One donut shop. We made a stop at Walmart to pick up some
place mats for the buffet Cheri is working on. When we got home we unloaded the
truck that I was too tired to do when I got home yesterday. I had a full load
with two 30” vanity cabinets and a dishwasher. Then we got the buffet out of
the sunroom and I reassembled the doors with hinges and pulls. Then we loaded
it in the truck and took it to the Sunday school building and installed the new
top. It looks very nice as Cheri did a good job. When we got back home Cheri
fixed us a Ruben sandwich for lunch. While we were eating I got a call from Art
and Ruby. They bought a three cabinets from Lowes that they were going to
assembly for their garage. Well it turned out to be more than they could do.
They asked me if I could come and put them together for them. So Cheri and I
headed to their place in Dade City. It took me the rest of the afternoon to get
them assembled. They took us to Golden Corral for supper. Then after supper Cheri
and I went to check out another job of wall repair, new faucets and shutoff
valves for the laundry sink, repair a pocket door, repair an outside light, and
some screens. It was 7:00 pm when we finally got home. We were both really
tired and I was ready for a hot shower to take way some the back and hip pain.
After getting cleaned up we decide to just crawl in bed and watch TV there.
Thank you God for helping us through this day and us helping friends.

Cheri and I have been
going out for breakfast on Friday’s. Well this morning I forgot it was Friday
and made coffee and had my breakfast before Cheri came out. I guess it was
because I had so much going on today. I was awake at 4:00 am thinking about
what I had to get done today so I was up at 4:30 am making a list of things I
needed to take for work today. Cheri said that she would forgive me if I took
her out for a fish dinner this evening. So at 8:15 am I headed for Tampa Bay
country to continue working at Jan and Pattie’s. I spent most of the day
installing nobs and pulls on all the new cabinets. I was done at 4:00 pm and
headed for home as Cheri had set up a dinner date with Larry and Denise to go
for fish. Cheri worked on making end panels for the buffet and a last coat of
paint on the top. She was also busy with the Friday laundry. One other thing
that happened was out dish washer decided it was time to retire as it has a
problem in the control board and not worth fixing as we have used it for seven
years and it was in the house when we bought it. We ended up meeting Larry and
Denise at Culver’s for our fish dinner, Yes this is where Cheri want to go for
fish as it is always very good. After our dinner we went over to Larry and
Denise’s to play Hand, Knee, and Foot. We play two games that were fun as they
were both close games. Larry and I won both games by a slim margin. Thank you
God for a blessed day.

It was a beautiful day
with nice fluffy clouds and a temp near 80’s. I had more time to relax this
morning as my first appointment wasn’t until 10:00 am over in Tampa Bay
country. I had to change out the sprinkler control that I installed Saturday.
The one installed wasn’t an outdoor unit. After that was done I headed back to
Jan and Pattie’s to work on removing the master bathroom vanity, cap off the
water, do some electrical work in the kitchen. On the way home I had to stop at
Lowe’s for some additional materials I didn’t have today. It was a little after
5:00 pm when I finally got home. When I came in Cheri started supper while I
took a shower and got cleaned up. Cheri fixed us a new recipe with shrimp, it
was ok but didn’t have a lot of flavor. Cheri said that she wouldn’t make it
again. Cheri was busy with laundry, shopping, and another coat of paint on the
Sunday school buffet today. This evening we watched a new show, 68 Whiskey. It is
a very R rated show with a lot of bad language and sexual content. Probably won’t
watch any more. We also watched New Amsterdam which is a good show if you can
get by all the gay stuff. We had ice cream for a treat this evening. Thank you
God for all you do for us.

We left the house at 9:15
am to pick up Larry and Denise and go to the big RV show at the Tampa Bay
Fairgrounds. As always there were a lot of people and hard to get around to see
everything. The main reason we went was to see what is new from when we were
fulltime RVing. By 1:30 pm we had seen everything we want to see. We didn’t
even look at any campers as we all are happy with what we have. On the way home
from Larry and Denise’s we took the car through the carwash. When we got home
Cheri put on her painting clothes and put on another coat of paint on the
buffet. I went over to Baker Acers to lower the price on Grandma’s house in
hopes that it will make it sell. I also took the truck through the carwash. It
is good to have them both clean on the outside anyway as they both need a good
cleaning inside. When I got home I was done for the day. We settled in to watch
some TV before we had supper but I napped through all of it. I did better after
supper but still had trouble staying awake. Thank you God for a safe and fun
day with Larry and Denise.

My day started with my accountability
group Bible study and breakfast. There were eleven of us today. Our Bible study
was the first part of John chapter 13. Cheri wanted to put a coat of paint on
the buffet this morning but it was too fuggy and damp. She really wanted to get
it done before we left at 11:00 am for Bush Gardens. Larry and Denise picked us
up. We had another fun day at Bush Gardens. We rode the train around to the
back of the park and got to see a lot of animals. At 1:30 pm we went to see the
Diamonds musical group. It was excellent with all the old songs from the 50’s
and 60’s. When we came out of the theater we saw Dick and Linda riding on the carousel.
We watched them and decided we would go for a ride too. After our ride we
talked to Dick and Linda. They went on their way and we decided to get
something to eat and watch the next show but it didn’t start until 4:00 pm. We
didn’t want to wait that long so decided to head out of the park and stopped at
Bob Evan’s on our way home. It was around 5:00 pm when we got home. Cheri did
go out and put a coat of paint on the buffet. It was short evening of watching
TV as we just couldn’t say awake. Thank you God for time spent with you and
good friends.

It was another beautiful
day in the neighborhood. It was different for me because I was able to work
from home most of the day. I got things set up so Cheri could sand and paint
the Sunday school buffet (Cheri informed me that it isn’t a buffet as it was a
display case). Well when we are done with it I believe it will be used as a
buffet. While Cheri was sanding and painting I cut out a new top for it. When I
was done with that I headed next door to install a new entry door lock set and readjust
the door so it didn’t drag on the threshold. Cheri took a break and we had
lunch. After lunch I went to check out a floor project and discussed what had
to be done to the old floor to repair the soft spots. It is going to be big
job. From there I went to Lowe’s to get materials I will need for Thursday.
When I got home Sharon (a friend from Sunday school) was here to help Cheri with
the buffet project. While they visited I went next door to visit with Mike.
This evening we met Ron and Sandy at culver’s for supper and a visit as it has
been a while since were together. Then we went to Walmart to pick up a few
things we needed along with a backpack to use going to Bush Gardens to carry
water bottle, refillable drink cup, and the popcorn container. It was after
near 8:00 pm when we got home. Thank you God for a blessed day.

What a beautiful day for
January. The temp in the low 80’s with lots of sunshine but was a little on the
humid side which I will take over the cold weather. I think Pastor Randy’s
message titled “Our Foundation” from 1 Peter 2:4-10 was the best message I have
heard him give. Our Sunday school lesson titled “God Expects” was from Numbers
32:20-32. God expects His people to keep their promises and commitments. Once
again I helped clean up the coffee pots and the kitchen getting it ready for
next Sunday. Several of us discussed what we were going to do with the Sunday
school buffet. Cheri planned on going to the Sunday school building to work on
sanding and painting tomorrow. When we got home we decided it would be better
if we had the buffet here to work on. So I unloaded the truck and we went back
to Dade City to pick it up and bring it home. After we got the buffet unloaded
we decided to take ride to Colt Creek State Park which is about fifteen miles
from here. We thought it would be a good shake down trip for our new camper. It
has a very nice camping area with water and electric hook ups and a dump
station nearby. When we got home we settled in to watch a movie which I napped
through. We had our normal Sunday evening meal of pizza. Then it was time to
settle in to watch the Green Bay Packers playoff game. They did win but wasn’t
an easy win. Thank you God for wonderful
day with you and Christian friends.

I know it is Saturday
because Cheri and I started the day with a trip to the Hole-in-One donut shop
for our usual Saturday morning breakfast. From there we stopped at Lowe’s so I
could pick up a couple of things I needed for work today. Cheri also got the
paint we need for a Sunday school project of redoing a buffet cabinet. When we
got home Cheri went to her sewing room to work on her quilt project. I went out
to restock tool and material totes and got the truck reorganized. The couple I
will be installing a new kitchen and dining room floor asked me to stop by to
show me some flooring samples they have. Only one of the six was vinyl which is
what they need to have for the kitchen. We headed out after lunch and made a
stop at Larry and Denise’s as we forgot to pay them for the Bush Garden tickets
they got for us. Then it was on to Tampa Bay County to install a wiring change
which had to be done today as the new cabinets will be installed Monday. I also
made a stop at another place to change out a sprinkler system control box. It
was near 4:00 pm when we got home. We had a short time to rest before meeting
Mike and Pam at Culver’s for supper and a good visit. With doctor appointments
and health issues it has been a month since we were together. It was a little
past 7:00 pm when we got home. It was a short evening of TV as we were both
tired. Thank you God for a blessed day.

Cheri and I went out to
the Village Inn for breakfast this morning. It was beautiful morning with lots
of sunshine and a morning temp of 69 degrees. Cheri busied herself with
laundry, Friday’s housework and her sewing room project. I headed back to Tampa
Bay country still working at the same place. I cut into the outside house wall
to install a new electrical outlet over where the new counter will be. I also
removed the vanity top in the master bathroom, removed the shadow boxes from
the top of kitchen cabinets that I installed a couple of years ago, and loaded
up cabinets and counter tops and vanity top to bring them home. I am going to
try and sell them on Market Place. It was around 4:30 pm when I go home. Cheri
helped me unload everything out of the truck and took pictures before putting
it in my work area. Cheri fixed us a pork loin with potatoes and the last of
the apple pie for dessert. Larry and Denise came over to play cards this
evening. It was a very good night for Cheri and Denise as they won both games
big time. Thank you God for all of the blessing and helping us through the day.

I forgot to mention that I
trapped another ferial cat which makes the fifth one I have trapped over the
last three years. Like the rest I took it for a ride out in the country so it
can have a new home. Once again I worked over in Tampa Bay country. I worked on
removing the last cabinet, new electrical, and new plumbing, and finished the
wall. So the new cabinets can go in next week. It was around 5:15 pm when I got
home. I was really tired and my back was really hurting. I did feel better
after a hot shower. We had leftovers for supper which is fine with me. The
chicken and dumping were still good as well as the apple pie. Cheri was busy
today with laundry and working in her sewing room. We watched all three of the Chicago
shows we had recorded. Went to bed and watched part of another Alaskan show. Thank
you God for a blessed day.

I was up at 4:30 am. MY mind
was going on what I wanted to get done today. I was working over in Tampa Bay
country and removing some kitchen cabinets, cutting down a have half wall for
more new cabinets. I also have plumbing and electric to redo for the new
cabinets. Right now it getting the wall ready with rough in plumbing and
electrical. I got a good start today with getting the old counter top removed
and the wall cut down along with removing the dishwasher and one cabinet. I
have more to do tomorrow. Cheri was busy with her Wednesday house work and then
working in her sewing room. It was 5:45 pm when I got home I was late leaving
work and then stopped to check out another job. Cheri made chicken and dumping
along with an apple pie for supper. I was able to watch one TV show and part of
another before napping. So at 9:00 pm we called it a night. Thank you God for
directing us through this day.

My day started with
breakfast and Bible study with the accountability group. There were eight of us
this morning. Maybe the cold morning of 39 degrees had something to do with the
low turnout. We finished up John chapter 12. When I got home Cheri was just
finishing up her breakfast. At 10:45 am we headed out to pick up Larry and
Denise and went to Bush Gardens for the day. We saw the show Real Music, Real
Masters. The stars of the show were Leonard, Coleman and Blunt who were former
lead vocalists of the Temptations, Platters, and Drifters. After the show it
was time to get something to eat and while eating we were entertained by dueling
pianos. We worked our way back to the front of the park looking at the different
animals. It was around 5:30 pm when we got home. I headed out to get my truck
stocked with the tools I will need for work tomorrow. Then I headed to church
for a new men’s night out with supper and information on getting a new men’s
group started called Wing Man. It is a large group of men coming together and
then will break out into smaller Bible study and accountability groups. I was
home around 8:30 pm. I was tired so Cheri and I went to bed and watched TV
there. Thank you God for a blessed day with Larry and Denise and time spent with
you.

It was 37 degrees this
morning. I had trouble getting my body to move and adjust to the cold morning.
The high for the day was in the low 60’s but was a nice clear day with a lot of
sunshine. I stayed in the house this morning working on rebuilding the table
lamp from the couple in Sunday school. After that I made a trip to Lowe’s to
see what I could use for the cabinet in the Sunday school lunch room. I went
back to where I thought the material I wanted should be. And today they had
what I wanted which they were out of yesterday when we were there. I also
stopped at Rural King to get the backup camera. It was a good thing I went
there this morning as I got the last one they had. I had looked at them on line
and this one was half the price as the same ones on line. Happy to have it, now
I need time to get it installed on the truck. It was a little warmer when I got
home so I worked on making the camper step for the lady from church. At 2:00 pm
I was ready to be done for the day and was heading into the house when someone called
out to me and looked over to see Mike out flying his drone. We visited for a
while on the different thing that the drone can do. I have a lot of learning to
do about flying mine. Just need more time with it. When I did get inside I was
ready for a hot shower to get warmed up. Cheri spent most of her day in the
sewing room and could see where she has made a lot of progress on the project
she is working on. Cheri fixed us spare ribs for supper. For a snack while
watching TV this evening we made mint flavored ice cream shakes. Thank you God
for guiding us through this day.

Cheri was busy early this
morning getting the chicken salad into the croissants, crispy bars cut and on a
plate along with cutting cheese[G1] for our Sunday school class luncheon. All to be ready
to be out the door by 8:30 am. Pastor Randy’s message was titled “The Rejection
of Jesus” from 1 Peter 2:4. Our Sunday school lesson was titled “God
Commissions” from Numbers 27:12-23. God’s people must affirm and invest in the
next generation. Once again I was on clean up duty after Sunday school getting
coffee pots cleaned and ready for next Sunday. I was also asked to make a new
top for a cabinet in the lunch room. Plus a couple brought a lamp for me to
repair. On the way home we stopped at Lowe’s to pick up materials for the
projects. I couldn’t find the lumber I wanted so we went to Home Depot. When we
drove into the parking lot there set the truck we used to own to pull our fifth
wheel. It still looked good and I had to wait for the new owner to come out so
we could talk to him. It sure brought back a lot of good memories we had from
our full time travels. I was so wrapped up in the memories I forgot to stop at Rural
King on the way home. I want to pick up a backup camera for our pickup to make
it easier to hook up the camper. The rest of the afternoon was spent in our
recliners watching TV. Or I should say Cheri watched because I napped through
the movie. We had our usual Sunday evening pizza for supper and more TV
watching home improvement shows. We even had a couple of crispy bars for
dessert. Thank you God for a bless day with friends.

We left the house at 7:20
am heading to the Hole-in-One donut shop for our usual Saturday morning breakfast.
We were only back home for a bit before we decided to go to Sam’s Club over in
Wesley Chapel. It is Cheri’s turn to provide lunch for our Sunday school class
tomorrow. She likes to go to Sam’s for their croissants and chicken salad to
make sandwiches. When we got home Cheri was busy getting the croissants and
chicken salad ready for tomorrow. I went outside to work on the camper cabinet
doors. I have them done and ready to install. I was going to do the shop and
area cleaning but it started to rain which put a stop to that project. When I came
in the house Cheri was busy making rice crispy bars for Sunday school. We got
an e-mail that the camping chairs we order where ready for pick up at Ace
Hardware store over in Wesley Chapel. We watched a movie (which I slept
through) while waiting for the rain to stop before going to pick them up. If I
would have checked my phone when we were at Sam’s Club to see that the chairs
were ready for pick up we wouldn’t have had to make a second trip to Wesley
chapel. Cheri fixed us soup for supper which was good on a cool damp day. It
was the usual evening of TV and watched some of shows that are back now that the
Christmas season is over. Thank you God for a blessed day and safe travels.

I have heard from several
people wanting me to continue writing the blog. So I will continue but not sure
how interesting it will be. We have seen some more cats around the house and it
was time to get the live trap out to see if I could catch another one. Well
when I checked this morning I didn’t catch a cat but did have a possum in the
trap. So I took it for ride out to the forest reserve where it could have a
better life. Cheri and I went out for breakfast at the Village Inn which is beginning
to be a Friday thing. I had planned on working on making the doors for the
camper and cleaning up and reorganize my shop and work area. Well I got an
early e-mail from Mike our next door neighbor. He got a new drone and wanted to
know if we could go out and fly them today. Cheri said that I should go and
forget about work. It was an easy decision as I really didn’t feel like
cleaning the shop. We had a good time and I am still learning how to fly
better. It is going to take some more time before I can take some good pictures
and videos from the drone. Cheri was busy this morning with laundry and Friday
house work. This afternoon she make some peanut butter cookies. I did go out this
afternoon and worked on the camper doors. I got one done and waiting on the
constructive glue to dry on the frame around the other door. Later this
afternoon we watched another Christmas movie (I think it is the last one).
Cheri fixed us beef enchiladas for supper with peanut cookies for dessert. This
evening we watch Chicago PD and along with home renovation shows. Thank you God
for a blessed day.

I wasn’t feeling all the
great this morning and decided to sit a while. But with the sun shining and
warming up I needed to get some work done. So I headed over to work on the
camper. I finished the caulking and took some measurements on sink to see if I
can cut a panel that will fit over the sink to have more counter space and a
possible counter top extension. I removed the end panels from the banquette
seating to see if I can make doors out of them which would make it easier for
storage by having container that would slide in and out. Cheri was busy with
the Thursday house work and working in her sewing room. Later this afternoon I
went for a much needed haircut. On the way home I stopped at Harbor Freight to
see if I could get some short staples for my air nailer. No luck on finding the
staples I wanted so I went to Lowe’s to get cabinet hinges and forgot to check
on the staples. When I got home Cheri was fixing us a ribeye steak and baked
potatoes for supper. This evening we went over to Larry and Denise’s to play
Hand, Knee, and Foot. We played two games that Larry and I won. Thank you God
for directing us through the day and time spent
with good friends.

First I want to wish you
all a Happy New Year. I pray that you all have a better year than last year. As
you know our year had its up and downs but with Gods help and a lot of friends we
got through it. We left the house at 8:15 am heading to the airport to pick up
Larry and Denise. They were supposed to be here at 8:30 pm last night but because
of weather problems they didn’t make the flight out Toronto and couldn’t get a
flight until 6:00 am this morning. We picked them up at the baggage claim
around 9:45 am. They were both tired and was glad to be home. After we dropped
them off we went to Wal-Mart to pick up a few groceries and other things we
needed. We also stopped at the Zephyrhills Community Pharmacy to pick up Cheri’s
medications. It was lunch time when we got home. After lunch we went over to
see Mike and Kathy as they just got home from their trip to New York for
Christmas. We had some good laughs as they told us about the cruse they went on
before going to New York. The rest of our afternoon was spent watching some
more Christmas movies and old episodes of In the Heat of the Night. I had forgotten
how good a show it was. Sure was a different kind of show with no cell phones.
This evening we watched the Rose Bowl football game. The Wisconsin Badgers were
playing the Oregon Ducks. It was a good game but our Wisconsin Badgers lost by
one point. Thank you God for blessing us all with a New Year.

When I got up this morning
the only thing I knew was that I would be going to my accountability group
breakfast and Bible study. We studied John 12:1-20. When I got home I
remembered that the flea market is going and we decided to check it out. It is
in a new place this season which is much nicer than the last few years. They
have more room and easier to walk around. I did buy some kettle corn and caramel
corn which is my weakness. From there we headed to Tampa to pick up my hearing
aid that was in for repair. On the way home we stopped at Bob Evan’s for lunch.
From there we went to Wesley Chapel to stop at Ace Hardware to check out some
rocking lawn chairs that I saw on the internet. They didn’t have them in the
store and would have to order them off the internet. So we went over to Dick’s
has they had some but not the ones that fold into a bag. When we got home Cheri
went over to see Jean but didn’t get an answer. Well it wasn’t long and Jean
came over here as she had been on the phone with her daughter. While they
visited I got on the internet and ordered the rocking lawn chairs to be
delivered to the Ace Hardware store. I also updated my GPS which needed to be
done some time ago. This evening we were going to the airport to pick up Larry
and Denise but got a text from them that their first flight was delayed and
missed their 5:00 pm flight out of Toronto. The next flight isn’t until 6:00 am
tomorrow morning. So we spent the evening watching some TV and let the other
people celebrate the New Year. Thank you God for safe travels today and a
blessed year.
