Happy New Year, hope
everyone got off to a good start for the New Year. Cheri and I decide this
morning we were going to take the day off and just rest and watch some TV. Well
that didn’t work for Cheri as she did laundry and house cleaning. I put the
index tabs in Cheri’s Bible which went faster as I knew what I was doing this
time, was done in an hour and a half. I had a couple of phones setting on the
floor and Cheri said that I could put up a couple of more shelves for them. So
I did that and looks good. We settled in for an afternoon of TV When we heard
Larry and Denise drive up. They wanted to know if we wanted to go to Lakeland
for Chinese. We couldn’t pass on that and I said that we would drive. So I
dropped Cheri and Denise off at Beall’s and Larry and I went to Harbor Freight.
I needed some staples and brads for my air nail gun. Then back to pick up Cheri
and Denise and head to Ling’s for Chinese buffet. We got there around 3:00 pm,
wanted to be there before 3:30 pm because that is when they stop the lunch and
then start the dinner buffet. Then the price doubles and the only thing that I
know is added to the buffet is crab legs, which to me isn’t worth the extra
money. The food was very good and I think the last time we were there was with
Larry and Denise last year. Denise wanted to stop at Hobby Lobby to check on a
certain type of Christmas tree that was on sale. They didn’t have any in
Zephyrhills. Well they had just the one she wanted. It was a 400 dollar tree
and got it for a little over 80 dollars. Now how do you fit a 7 ½ foot
Christmas tree in the trunk of a Honda Civic. Well it was broken down and in a
4 foot box. I was surprised that with a little pushing and shoving we got it
in. One of the reasons it was cheaper was because the lights didn’t work and
Larry wasn’t happy about that. Long story short about an hour after they got
home we got an e-mail with Denise standing by the tree all lit up (I mean the
tree was lit up). We settled in for and evening of TV or I should say I did
because I was watching the Badger football game that I had recorded. Cheri
played solitaire on her I-Pad plus took a nap.
