Gay Dec-31-16

Cheri and I were both up
very early this morning not being able to sleep (too many aches and pains). It
is hard to believe this is the last day of 2016. For the most part this year
was better than last year, which is good. Cheri asked me what I was going to do
today and I told her I wasn’t doing any more work for the rest of the year and
she said me either. Darren and Brooke got us an Amazon Echo for Christmas and
it arrived last night. So I spent most of the day getting it set up to link up
to our phones on the calendar and shopping list. Probably was something that a
fifth grader could do in a half hour. We are now having fun asking Alexa (the
Amazon Echo’s name) different things like playing music, adding stuff to our
grocery list, and even telling us a joke. I also got the new outdoor temp
transmitter programed to the indoor unit and worked fine on the kitchen table
but not working after I took it outside. I will check it out next year. Later
this afternoon we watch more movies we had recorded. We spent a quiet New Year’s
Eve at home and were in bed by 10:00 am. I did wake up at 11:58 pm to all the fireworks
so I guess you could say I was awake for the New Year.
