I headed to my accountability breakfast and bible study at 7:15 am. After that I went over to Larry and Denise’s house to check it out and everything looks ok. As soon as I got home Cheri and I finished packing the truck and was on the road at 9:00 am heading for Fond du Lac Wisconsin. Traffic was very light and move well until we got about 30 miles south of Atlanta and then things slowed up but kept moving. We arrived in Adairsville Ga around 5:30 pm. and staying at the Hampton Inn. We put on a little over 500 miles today. We still have 872 miles to go. Thank you God for giving us good weather and safe travels.

I had a 9:00 am appointment to install a new ceiling fan. I was back home by 11:30 am. Cheri had just got home from working in the Sunday school kitchen. Her and a few other ladies worked on getting things into the new kitchen cabinets. They also were able to get rid of a lot of old things that weren’t needed any longer. After lunch I took the truck in for an oil change. They said that it would take an hour and a half before it would be done but got it done in an hour. When I got home Cheri was packing for our trip to Wisconsin. We are going to be doing some remolding for our daughter Nikki. I had all the tools laid out that I want to take so I started by cleaning out the truck cab and then loading all the tools in the truck bed. This evening we met Mike and Pam to have supper with them at Beef O Brady’s. We had a good visit with them and told us about their trip to Kentucky to see the Ark and watch their grandson Mason play basketball. And then their stop in Charleston SC. After out visit we headed over to Wal-Mart to pick up groceries and medicine for Grandma. It was after 7:00 pm when we got home. Cheri and I were both tired and didn’t last long trying to watch TV before calling it a night. Thank you God for guiding us through another day.

Grandma went to church with us today. Pastor Randy’s message was “How do I respond to God’s Will” from James 4:15-17. Our Sunday school lesson was “Diligent” from 2 Timothy 2:14-26. Believers find truth and direction by studying God’s word. We were home by 1:00 pm. We spent the afternoon in front of the TV. We watched an old John Wayne movie along with a couple other movies. I also watched the NASCAR race. We had our normal Sunday evening of pizza for supper. We heard some thunder in the distance but never received any rain. Thank you God for a blessed day spending time with you and Christian friends.

It must be Saturday because Cheri and I had breakfast at the Hole in One donut shop this morning. I had a 9:00 am appointment to have a haircut, good to have that done for another month. I worked on removing all the tools from the truck and repacking them in the bins. While doing that I got a call from Cookie that the Sunday school counter tops were in. So I headed over to Lowe’s to meet Cookie and get them loaded into the truck. It was a good thing I had the truck cleaned out. We hauled them up to the Sunday school building and are now ready for me to do the install. It was around 2:00 pm when I got home. After taking a shower and getting cleaned up I headed over to Harbor Freight to pick up a few things I need for work. Cheri spent her day in the sewing room working on her quilt project. She fixed us leftovers for supper and then we settled in for an evening of TV. Thank you God for blessed day.

Cheri and I went out for breakfast in Dade City at the Black Eye Pea. It was very good and a nice change for a place to eat. While we were eating Pastor Randy came in for breakfast and was able to have a short visit with him. After breakfast we headed to the bank where we have our car loan. So today we paid off the rest of the loan and now own our car free and clear. Then we headed to the grocery store to get Grandma’s groceries and medicine. After dropping off the groceries at Grandmas and checking on her we headed to our bank to make a deposit and make sure there wouldn’t be any transfers of funds for the car. It was around 11:30 am when we arrived at home. I planned on cleaning out my truck as I didn’t have any work today. But I got lazy and headed to the recliner where I spent the rest of the day. Cheri had some laundry going and when she got that done she joined me. We watched TV, read, and did some napping. We didn’t have any lunch because of the big breakfast we had. Cheri did fix us a ribeye steak with baked potato for supper. Yes we did get more rain today but only a small shower. Thank you God for a relaxing day.

We had rain most all day and received over two inches for the last two days. I headed back to the floor project in Tampa Bay country. I got the baseboard installed, transition strips installed, the caulking done, closet doors reinstalled, put the bed frame together, moved furniture back in the bedroom, took down a cornice in the dining room, installed a window screen, and repaired a leak in the washing machine. So this project is done and was home by 3:00 pm. I had to move the car from the carport so I could get the truck under cover to keep my tools from getting wet. I only unloaded enough so I could get the cover down and locked. After my shower I headed out to check out a window leaking problem. I found two windows that wasn’t install correctly and need to be removed, the casings rebuilt from the water damage. I decided it was a job that I didn’t want to do as it could turn out to be a bigger problem than what I could see. Cheri was busy with laundry and spending time in her sewing room. Cheri fixed us a new chicken recipe in the new Instant Pot. It was very good. It was normal evening watching the new summer shows we had recorded. Thank you God for blessed day.

I left the house early this morning so I could stop at Lowe’s on my way to the floor project and pick up some caulking for the baseboard. By 1:00 pm I had finished installing the flooring. I was going to have to quit by 2:00 pm and as long as I was at a good stopping I decided I was done for the day. I was home by 1:45 pm and still hadn’t eat my lunch. After lunch I headed to the shower. I got a chance to rest and even take a nap before I had to take Grandma for her foot doctor’s appointment at 4:30 pm. Cheri was busy with her Wednesday house work and working in her sewing room on the quilt project. It was around 5:30 pm when I got home from Grandma’s. Cheri had supper ready and waiting for me. The nap I had helped as I was able to stay awake to watch some TV this evening. The day started out with sunshine and fluffy white clouds but some turned to rain and was on and off all day. In the night it started again around 2:30 am and is still raining as I write this. Thank you God for directing us through the day with your many blessings.

I left the house at 7:00 am to have breakfast and Bible study with my accountability group this morning. We studied Ecclesiastes chapter nine. From there I headed to my flooring project in Tampa Bay country. I got the crack in front of the patio doors repaired and finally got started laying the flooring. I was done work at 3:30 pm as I needed to get home and cleaned up as we were meeting Art and Ruby for dinner at Mexico Plaza. Yep the third time in two weeks. We had something different each time and always good. Cheri was busy with her Tuesday house work and visiting with Jean our next door neighbor. We had rain several times during the day nothing too hard. I was really tired this evening as I was awake at 3:00 am and couldn’t get back to sleep so I got up a little before 4:00 am. Needless to say I napped in front of the TV until it was time to go to bed. Thank you God for a blessed day.

I left at 8:15am to start a new flooring project in Tampa Bay country. When removing the old carpet you find a kind of things that can be covered with carpeting and it was no different with this project. I have a two inch gap by the patio door that needs to be filled to support the new floor which I will work on tomorrow. I did get all the old carpet removed, tack strip removed, base board removed, installed masking tape around the ceiling, and did some painting. I quit at 4:00 pm. On the way home I stopped at Lowe’s to get some quick setting cement to fill the opening by the patio door. So it was after 5:00 pm when I got home. Cheri was busy today with her Monday house work. She also made a trip to the bank and did some shopping. When I got home she was working on making supper using her new Instant Pot. She was having a hard time figuring it out. She made beef stroganoff which was very good. We had a hard rain come through while watching TV this evening and received one inch. Thank you God for directing us and blessing us with this day.

The carpet is removed  and working on removing the tack strip and baseboard.

Grandma went to church with us this morning. Pastor Randy had a really good message today titled “Here Today…. Gone Tomorrow” from James 4:13-14. Our Sunday school lesson was titled “Focused” from 2 Timothy 2:1-13. How believers can find strength for life’s hardships by focusing on God’s grace and the gospel. It was around 1:00 pm when we got home. We didn’t have any plans for the afternoon so it was time spent watching movies and napping. I did get to watch the NASCAR race. We had our normal Sunday evening meal of pizza. We also had some strong wind come though before the rain started. I checked the gauge and we received ½ inch. Thank you God for time spent with church friends.

Sorry I didn’t get the blog done yesterday. I started a computer windows update and it took over two hours to get done. So I didn’t have time to do the blog before leaving for church and when I got home I forgot to do it. Well our Saturday started by being at the Hole in One donut shop at 7:00 am for breakfast. When we got home I loaded some tools and ladder in the truck as I had an appointment to work on a patio roof. I did some caulking around some roof vents and then cleaned out rain gutters that were really full causing water to leak into the carport. On the way home I made a stop at church to pick up some of our painting supplies. When I got home I loaded the truck with the things I need for a new flooring project Monday. Cheri went and got groceries and medicine for Grandma. Cheri and I relaxed the rest of the afternoon. Ron and Sandy came over at 4:30 pm and we went out for dinner at Plasa Mexico. We were just there a couple of days ago and yes it was very good. I guess it is my new favorite Mexican restaurant. When we got home we had a nice visit with Ron and Sandy. After they left we settled in for an evening of TV. Thank you God for good friends and a blessed day.

Cheri took Grandma for her doctor’s appointment this morning. They are going to readjust her B-12 shot and will have to be done every month. I worked on patio windows today for a customer here in the park. I mentioned the work a week ago as I had to wait for new window lifts as two of the window had broken lifts. I got the two window done and lubed and cleaned the rest of the windows. I was done by noon. No work for the afternoon so I filled the bird feeder, cleaned the rain gutters, and made a trip to Lowe’s to get new saw blades and materials for my next flooring job. This afternoon Cheri made chocolate chip cookies for me. She fixed us pork chops, salad, and asparagus for supper. It was a normal evening of TV watching some mystery shows and Hallmark movies. We had a lot of thunder and lightning but only got a sprinkle of rain this evening. Thank you God for a blessed day.

I had my yearly physical this morning at 8:30 am. I got a good report and the doctor said I was a young 76 year old. At 10:00 am I headed over to do the water heater install. Things went well but did have to make a trip to Lowe’s for some additional plumbing parts. I was done by 2:00 pm but still had to bring home tools and then go back and pick up the old water heater. I plan on taking it to the recycle center tomorrow. It was good to get done with work early today. Cheri was busy with laundry and working in her sewing room today. We had a rain come through around 5:30 pm and received ½ inch. After a good hot shower and getting cleaned up Cheri and I headed for our recliners to relax before she made supper. After supper we settled in for an evening of TV. Thank you God for guiding us through this day.

The water heater installation, It was a tight fit.

I left the house at 7:00 am as I had an eye appointment at the VA in Tampa. It was a follow up appointment from my cataract surgery and everything came out good. All I need is glasses for reading. I have a hard time keeping readers with me so I ordered a new pair of bifocals. I was back home by 10:00 am. I received a call from a customer here in our park that wants me to change out their hot water heater. So I went to check out the job and then went to Lowe’s and picked up a new on for them. I will be doing the install tomorrow. Then I got a call from ta customer over in Tampa Bay country. They had called me to remove carpeting from their bedroom and install a tile floor. Well they changed their mine and wanted laminate flooring. So I sent them to Lumber Liquidators. They have decided on the flooring they wanted and for me to pick up the flooring this afternoon. By the time all was said and done it was 4:30 pm when I got home. Cheri was busy with Wednesday housework, getting groceries, and working in her sewing room. At lunch today I told Cheri that her wish was my command and she said I wish for you to take me out to the new Mexican restaurant here in Zephyrhills. So guess what? We are going out for dinner this evening. The name of the restaurant is Plaza Mexico and the food was very good. We will be going back again. It was around 6:30 pm when we got home to settle in for an evening of TV. I didn’t see any as I fell asleep in the recliner and woke up in time to go to bed. Thank you God for all the blessing and safe travels.

I had my accountability group breakfast and Bible study this morning. There were eight of us this morning, makes for a nice group for discussion. I didn’t plan any work for today. I took my new drone out to see about flying it. I drove out about three miles so I could find a large opening to fly it. Well when I got there I see that I had forgotten a cord that I needed so I had to go back home for the cord. When I fired it up the control told me that it needed an update. Will after that was done it showed on the control screen not able to fly. I wasn’t sure what the problem was has it was hard to see the screen with so much sun. So I headed back home to do some more checking as it was getting too hot to be outside with it. After doing more checking it looks like I was too close to the airport. So I thought I would try again this evening but had a thunder storm come through. So that will have to wait for another day. I also had a doctor’s appointment down in Tampa at the VA. It was with the infectious disease doctor to see what may be done with the limp nods in my lungs. It was decided the best thing to do was to keep an eye on it with a c-scan every six months. It was after 5:00 pm when we got back in town so we stopped at Culver’s for supper. Cheri was busy today with Tuesday house work, a visit with Jean, out to lunch with the Sunday school ladies, and going with me for my doctor’s appointment. We were both tired when we got home and had trouble staying awake to watch TV. Thank you God for the safe travels and good results from my appointment.

My day started with getting the truck loaded with all my tools to get ready for a 9:30 am appointment over in Tampa Bay country to do a generator install for standby power during a major power outing. It took most of the day as I also had to install the battery, oil, gas in the generator as it had never been started before. We also did a simulated power failure got the generator outside and hooked it up to the power box I installed. Then starting the generator and turning on the breakers for house power. Then we went through the shutdown and getting the commercial power reconnected. I had made a list for them to follow step by step but was good to go through the process. My next stop was to add a fitting to a shower head so it would spray downward more. I was back home by 3:30 pm really hot and tired from working outside in all the heat. I felt much better after my shower. I laid down on the bed and took an hours nap before joining Cheri in the living room. Cheri spent the day with Monday’s house work and then in the sewing room working on her quilt project. We had leftover chili for supper and a normal evening of TV. We did have a rain storm come through around 5:00 pm. Checked the rain gauge and received ¾ inch. Thank you God for a blessed day.

Grandma went to church with us this morning. Pastor Randy’s message was titled “Think Before You Speak” From James 4:11-12. Our Sunday school lesson was titled “Confidence” from 2 Timothy 1:3-14. After we dropped Grandma off at home we made a stop at PetSmart to pick up a dog whistle. We have this dog behind us that barks 90 percent of the time day and night. It has been going on for over two months. We are hoping to get some peace by blowing the whistle. For whatever reason the dog was pretty quiet this afternoon and evening and didn’t even have the whistle out of the package. This afternoon I watched the rest of the NASCAR race, Cheri even watched with me and it was an exciting ending with brother against brother. We watched some shows and movies we had recorded along with some napping for me. Thank you God for blessed day spending time with church and Sunday school friends.

Cheri and I had a good day. It all started with a visit to the Hole in One donut shop at 6:45 am. Then we made a stop at Lowe’s for some materials I needed to finish the flooring project. By 9:00 am Cheri and I both were working on the flooring project. Cheri was cleaning while I filled nail holes in the baseboard and caulking the top of the baseboard. Cheri continued to clean while I took all the tools home. By 1:30 pm we had all the furniture back in place. Happy to have this project done. After getting cleaned up we made a trip to Lumber Liquidators to return some flooring and materials that we didn’t need. From there we headed to Lakeland to have dinner at Harry’s Seafood bar and grill. We had a really good meal and then headed home. We were settled in for an evening of TV by 5:30 pm. We got a call from Nikki this evening telling us what she has been up to, good to hear from her. Also a message from Darren as he had called yesterday to ask me some questions about his truck air conditioner as it had quit working. He had to have a new compressor installed as the old one had ceased up. We watched a couple of movies and then tried to watch the NASCAR race but couldn’t stay awake for it so will watch the rest of it tomorrow after church. Thank you God for guiding us through another day.

Flooring project done.

I headed next door 9:00 am for the flooring project. It took me all day to install the baseboard and transition strips. Had a lot of special cuts that took a lot of time. I also had to rework the transition strips so they would fit right. As of 4:00 pm the baseboard and transition strips are installed. Cheri was busy with laundry, taking Grandma for her lab appointment, getting some fresh sweet corn for Grandma, and making chili for supper. It was another evening with TV movies. We also had rain that started around 5:00 pm and lasted until around 9:00 pm. I check the rain gauge and received another inch. Thank you God for a blessed day.

I was back to work on the flooring project and happy to say that the flooring is all installed. I still have to install the baseboard, transition strips, and put the furniture back in place. It was 4:00 pm when I got done for the day. Cheri was busy with laundry and getting groceries and medicine for Grandma. She still found time to make a peach cobbler. After I showered and got cleaned up I headed to the recliner to join Cheri to watch a little TV before Cheri started supper. She made chip beef gravy over scrambled eggs and toast. Then later while watching TV we had some peach cobbler. We watched Property Brothers Forever Home, Yellowstone, and a mystery movie before calling it a night. Yes we did have a quick rain shower that lasted about 15 minutes which is more like the summer rains we get. It is still very hot with high humidity. Thank you God for blessing us with a wonderful and productive day.

Cheri and I left the house at 7:45 am headed to Tampa VA to get the results of the biopic of my lung. It turns out to be the same fungal infection that I have in my right lung. They don’t know what is causing it and are setting me up to see the infectious disease specialist. From there we headed to Lakeland for a stop at the credit union where we had our truck financed. The payments were transferred from our bank. After we paid off the truck and close the account back on June 3. Well on the 28th the credit union took out another payment. We were told that the transfer had failed and they didn’t have it. So our next stop was our bank and was told that the credit union has the money and if it had been sent back it would have been put back into our account. We filled out tracking report to see where it is. It was after noon when we finally got home. After lunch I ordered the window lifts for the window project I am working on. Then I went next door to work on the flooring project. Cheri spent the afternoon catching up on her Wednesday house work and then brought me over some water as I forgot to take some with me. I was about ready to quit for the day when she came so she helped me get things cleaned up for the day. It was 4:00 pm when we got home. I headed for the shower and Cheri started supper. She made burritos for us and they were excellent. It was a normal evening of TV except for me as I took a two hour nap before going to bed. Thank you God for everything you do for us.

I left the house a little after 7:00 am to attend my accountability group breakfast and Bible study. I had a fasting lab this morning so no breakfast for me. I was back home by 9:00 am and did some computer work before leaving for my 10:30 am fasting lab. I also made a stop at the bank on my way home. Cheri was busy with her Tuesday house work and then going for a visit with our neighbor Jean.  After lunch I went and removed one of the old window lifts that I need to replace, needed the information on the old one so I can order the right ones.  I headed out to Dade City to do some miscellanies things in the Sunday school kitchen. I think all that is left to do is install the new countertop and backsplash when it comes. On the way home I stopped by Grandma’s to change the battery in her call alert system. I got a call this morning at 5:30 am from the alert system that the battery needed to be changed in her pendent. Cheri and I went out to a new restaurant called GA Big Bozys Smokehouse for supper. I am always looking for a good place for ribs but it wasn’t this place. It was less than average and would rate it around a 4 out of 10. Cheri and I both were not happy and was very pricey. I think it will be gone in a few months. It was a normal evening of TV. Thank you God for blessed day.

I took Grandma for her 8:00 am eye appointment and she received a good report and doesn’t have to go back for six months. So it was 10:00 am before I got back to work on the flooring project. I didn’t get a lot done as far as a person could see but it was a lot of work getting the flooring laid in the hallway with four doors to work around and get it to fit with the living room floor. Plus working around kitchen cabinets. It was 4:30 pm before I was done for the day. Cheri was busy with her Monday house work and baking me some more chocolate chip cookies. She fixed us chicken tenders along with asparagus and water melon for supper. We had light rain showers all morning which start around 4:30 am. I check the gauge and only received ¼ inch. It was a normal evening of TV watching more mystery movies on the Hallmark channel. Thank you God for guiding us and blessing us today.

Grandma went to church with us today. Pastor Randy’s message was titled “2 Steps to Better Behavior” from James 4:6-10 which was a very good message. Our Sunday school lesson was titled “Lasting Investments” from 1 Timothy 6:6-19. Nothing else going on today, just resting, watching movies, and the NASCAR race that was rained out yesterday and ended today with rain but had done enough laps to make it an official race. We had another hard rain come through this afternoon which didn’t last all that long but still received an inch. We had our usual Sunday evening pizza and more movies to watch. Thank you God for time spent with you and church friends.

We headed out a little before 7:00 am to the Hole in One donut shop for our usual Saturday morning breakfast but when we got there it was closed. I guess they closed for the long 4th weekend. So we went across the street to have breakfast at the Sunrise Eatery. We were back home by 8:00 am. I left for my 9:00 am haircut appointment. On the way home I stopped at Walmart to see if I could get the shade mounting hardware to replace the one that broke the other day while installing the shade but no luck and I will have to order one. When I got back home I picked up Cheri and we went to the Sunday school kitchen project as I needed to get thing put back after the painting was done. I needed Cheri to help me put up the curtain over the window by the kitchen sink. On the way home we made a stop at Walmart in Dade City as I needed an ink cartridge for our printer and forgot to pick one up from my earlier stop. When we got home I headed next door to work on the flooring project. Cheri was good about bringing water and to help me move all the furniture over on the new floor so I can install the rest of the flooring. By 3:00 pm I had done all the work that the knees would take for the day. Cheri fixed us a ribeye steak along with fresh corn on the cob for supper. Around 3:30 pm we had a hard rain come through which lasted about an hour. I checked the gauge and we received just under 2 inches. I had planned on watching the NASCR race but was rained out and will be run tomorrow. So we watched a couple shows and a movie before calling it a night. Thank you God for a productive day.

The latest picture of the flooring project.

This is the area that is left to do.

I got up this morning low on energy and sore knees from the flooring project. I had a 9:00 am appointment to do a small pluming job in a bathroom. I was back home by 10:00 am and did some computer work and decided I needed to get back to work on the flooring project. Well I was about ready to go when I got a call from a party here in our park that wanted a new toilet installed so I told them I could do it at 1:00 pm. Then I got another call about a window problem. The toilet change went smoothly and was done in 1 ½ hours. Then I stopped to check out the window problem and found that the spring lifts on two windows were broken. I will have to order new ones. When I got home I see our new neighbor outside so I went over and had a nice visit with him. It was around 3:30 pm when I got in the house. After my shower I did some computer searching on window lifts and found out I need to go back and take out one of the old lifts as it has a four digit code on it so you know which ones to order for replacements. Cheri decided to go to Winn Dixies to get a couple of pot roast that were buy one and get one free plus a couple of steaks for our supper. She came home disappointed as she miss the sale on the pot roast by one day. She did get the steaks but forgot to put the marinade on them. So we ended up having a couple of hot dogs and fresh corn on the cob along with watermelon. It was a normal evening of TV. Thank you God for blessed day.

I hope all had a happy 4th with families, friends, and fireworks to celebrate our country. Plus a thank you to all the military people for protecting our nation. Cheri and I went out for breakfast at the Breakfast Station. Most of the breakfast was really good except for the hash browns which were tough. I don’t think that they were soaked long enough before cooking them. Cheri headed out to do some grocery shopping at Walmart, she really didn’t want to go to Walmart but needed some things there. I headed next door to continue working on the floor project. I only worked four hours as my knees wouldn’t take anymore being down on them. I also made a trip to Harbor Freight as my air stapler quit working and waited until today to get a new one as I could get 25 percent off on the 4th. So long story short I was done early today and had my shower and in the recliner by 3:30 pm and felt good to be done for the day. We watched Hallmark mastery movies along with some other shows we had recorded. Because of the big breakfast we didn’t have any lunch today and also long as I got done work early we had an early supper. Later we had a bowl of ice cream while watching TV. We had a hard rain come through around 3:00 pm which lasted about 20 minutes and received ½ inch, we also got ¼ inch yesterday. Thank you God for helping us through another day.

The heat index was 108 to 112 today also the temp was in the high 90’s. It wasn’t a day to be outside working. I was back at the flooring project at 8:30 am and it was hot just going out to cut the flooring. I took a lunch break at 11:30 am as I was hurting and needed to relax for a bit. But was back to laying flooring at noon. I had a plumbing problem to work on at 1:00 pm. It turned out to be a toilet that continued to run so I installed new float valve and flapper. From there I went to remove an old blind and install a new one. It took a while as I had a problem with the new blind hangers. I had to modify them in order for them to hold up the new blind. Then on the way home I stopped at Lowe’s for the second time today. I needed to get parts to repair a bathroom sink stopper. It was 4:30 pm when I finally got home. I was tired and sweaty and ready for a hot shower. Cheri was busy in her sewing room most of the day. She said that things didn’t go well for her and will try again another day. She fixed the last of the lasagna for supper and yes it was still very good. It was another evening of TV. Cheri now has us watching Christmas in July movies, just doesn’t seem right watching Christmas movies now. Thank you God for blessed day.

Making progress.

I left the house at 7:10 am to attend the accountability group breakfast and Bible study. It was good to get back as I missed a couple of weeks with doctor appointments. There were eight of us today and had a good discussion. I was home around 9:00 am. I got things together and went next door to work on the flooring project. I was able to start laying some of the flooring. It was 4:00 pm when I quit for the day. Cheri was busy with her Tuesday house work and Jean came over for a visit which took care of the rest of Cheri’s morning. We had leftover lasagna and Texas toast for supper. Lasagna always taste better the second day as it seems to have a better flavor. Cheri said that is a good thing because I am having it again tomorrow. This evening we watched a couple more of the Hallmark mystery movies. Thank you God for a bless day and giving us guidance. We are still having hot weather in the high 90’s with a lot of humidity and was already 79 degree at 5:00 am.

Hard at work

This is as far as got today

Hard to believe that another month has gone. We all need to make good use of our time as it is something we can never get back. I left around 8:30 am and headed for the Sunday school kitchen project. I worked on the cabinet doors of the old cabinets which are all metal. I sanded down the old pull holes and plugged them with some JB Weld. I got a call while I was there from church friends Dick and Linda and told me If I brought the doors to them they would sand and paint them, which made me very happy as you know I don’t like painting. I also built a panel to fill the opening between the cabinet and wall. There used to be a shelf there but with the new cabinets you couldn’t get to it so it needed to be closed up. I also put on a coat of primer on the under lament so it will be ready for the back splash. I thought that I would take the old kitchen stove to the salvage yard but was too heavy for me to load into the truck by myself. I was done by 2:30 pm and headed to Dick and Linda’s with the cabinet doors. Then I made a stop at Lowe’s for some materials returns and to buy a rope to put across Larry and Denise’s driveway as the old one had deteriorated and needed to be replace. It was 4:30 pm when I finally got home. Cheri had a busy day as she was out and about doing errands, shopping, and made lasagna for our supper along with Texas toast. It was a normal evening of TV. We are still having very hot weather as it was 93 today. Thank you God for a wonderful day.

Grandma went to church with us today. Pastor Randy’s message was titled “2 Steps to Behavior” It was from James 4:6-10. Our Sunday school lesson was titled “Being Responsible” from 1 Timothy 5:1-8, 17-21. It was after 1:00 pm when we got home. I changed my clothes and made a trip to Lowe’s looking for cabinet locks. I found some that might work but they didn’t have enough of them that was keyed the same. I was tired and didn’t feel like making a trip to Home Depot. When I got home I joined Cheri to watch a couple more mystery movie from the Hallmark channel. I also planned on watching the NASCAR race this afternoon but is was in a rain delay and didn’t started until around 6:00 pm. We had our usual Sunday evening pizza for supper. We watched a couple more movies. Cheri headed for bed and I stayed up to watch the NASCAR race that didn’t get over until after 10:00 pm. Thank you God for time spent with Church and Sunday school friends.
