Gay Nov-18-19

My day turned out to be
much different than I thought it would be. I had planned on going to Tampa Bay
country to work but got a text from Patty telling me she was sick and shouldn’t
come. So I decided to repair the broken concrete from the city replacing the
curb water box. It was in the mid 50’s this morning with sun and no wind. It was
a perfect day to be working outside. By noon I had the forms in place and had
gone to get the concrete. I was ready to do the mixing and pouring this afternoon.
But got a call while I was having lunch from a party here in our park. I was
told that part of their house was without electricity. After spending much time
looking for where the problem was it turned out to be an electrical outlet in
the bedroom. At some time I could see that it had been wet and corroded and not
making a good connection. I cleaned up the wiring and installed a new outlet.
By the time I was done it was too late for me to mix and pore the concrete.
Cheri worked in her sewing room today putting together a picture board of
Grandma to have for her memorial. Cheri fixed us some leftover beef and gravy
on toast for lunch and pork chops with sweetcorn for supper. Later in the
evening we had a bowl of ice cream while watching TV. Thank you God for guiding
us through another day.
