We left at 8:30 am and headed to church where the church was having the Bunny Eggstravaganza. It is the first time the church has done this and wasn’t sure how it would turn out. Well it was a success, with and estimated 1000 adults and 2000 children. I was on the parking crew and we even run out of parking spaces that were set aside and had to open up an additional area. The church had a helicopter come in and drop eggs in to areas that were fenced off for different age groups. There were three different egg drops so everyone would have a chance to get some eggs. If some of the children didn’t get any they had a table set up where they could get a bag of eggs. There were a total of 28,000 eggs dropped. It was an amazing site to see the eggs drop from the helicopter. It was a very warm day with a high of 91 with a little breeze which helped to keep us cool. Cheri got to work mostly in the shade and I was out in the sun. I drank four bottles of water which were delivered to me while doing traffic control. It was near 2:00 pm before we got home. I needed to take a shower and put on some dry clothes. A couple of friends (Don and Diane) from our Life Group had changed churches and were doing a dress rehearsal of the Easter Service this evening. So we met Mike and Pam at the church to watch the rehearsal and then went to Ruby Tuesday’s for soup and salad. Then we all went back to our place to play dominos. Cheri and Pam beat Mike and me pretty bad, so much for my wining steak. Cheri was able to take a few pictures of the egg drop today.
