We were on the road by 7:30 am headed to Tampa for my appointment with the foot doctor. We got in a backup of traffic and it took us an hour to go 23 miles. It was a good thing we left early as my appointment wasn’t until 9:00 am and they wanted me there 30 minutes early. We also ran into rain on the way down. As it turned out we were there right at 8:30 am and were called in to see the doctor at 8:45 am. How about that, we got to see the doctor 15 minutes before our scheduled appointment time. That must be something that only happens once in a life time. After talking to the doctor and looking at the x-rays. I decided to wait until fall to have surgery to remove the bunion on my foot. It takes 8 weeks to recuperate from the surgery and we have to be in Smith Center Kansas on May 23rd for our appointment to have work done on our 5th wheel which doesn’t give us enough time this spring. They put some inserts in my shoes that are supposed to help take some pressure off the toes. If I don’t do a lot of walking I can get by pretty good. We were back home by 10:30 am. It finally quit raining around 1:00 pm and we got .7 inch of rain and the sun came out around 4:00 pm. This afternoon we went over to Grandma’s to play SOB. Grandma won the first game and Cheri won the other one. Once again I came out on the losing end. This evening was our Life Group meeting and our lesson for the evening was How to Be a Theologian without Being an Intellectual Snob. It was another interesting evening. When we got home Cheri had to watch Dancing with the Stars. She already had it figured out who was going to get voted off and of course she was right.
