It was a beautiful day that God made for us. It was in the mid 70’s with lots of sunshine, white fluffy clouds and low humidity. This forenoon we went down to Bud and Joyce’s to visit as they are leaving in the morning to go back north for the summer. I think they are leaving too soon as it is still cold in the north. This afternoon we picked up Larry and Denise and headed over to Spring Hill to Weeki Wachee Springs state park. Our first stop was the Underwater Theater to watch the mermaid show (really neat). The next stop was the animal show (shakes and alligators). Then we walked over to the river boat ride but it was an hour wait, so we decided to skip it. We did a little more walking around and then decided to leave. Denise wanted to have some ice cream and they didn’t have any in the park so as we were leaving the park I saw Hardies and figured that they would have ice cream. Well behind Hardies was a strip mall with a Fro-Yo yogurt shop. They had several different flavors with all different kinds of toppings. You take as much as you want and then pay by the weight. It was pretty good but not as good as old fashion ice cream. I knew we would pass a quilt shop on the way home so I stopped for Cheri and Denise; they were surprised as they didn’t know about it until I pulled into the parking lot. Denise wanted to stop at a book store so we went to the Wiregrass Shops and stopped at Barnes & Noble. Then it was back to Zephyrhills for pizza at Pizza Hut. It was around 6:30 pm when we arrived at Larry and Denise’s to play on game of Hand, Knee and foot that the girls won.
