Gay June-14-14

At 8:30 am we headed down to the Rec
hall for a breakfast of pancakes and sausage along with orange juice and
coffee. It is the first time that they have had a breakfast in the hall. They
need to tweak a few things but should be Ok. Late yesterday afternoon the door
bell rang and when I went to look the UPS truck was just pulling away and there
was a big package sitting by the door. We had no idea what it could be as we
hadn’t ordered anything. Well when we opened it up it was cooler full of Omaha
steaks from our son Darren. He had sent it to me for my birthday and Fathers
Day, how nice it that. The window on the passenger side of the van hasn’t been
working very well and the other day it went down and not back up. After many
tries and pushing on it we got it up most of the way. So today I took it apart
and found the lift cable was broke. I had said that I wasn’t putting any more
money in this vehicle so I cut a piece of wood and screwed it in place to hold
up the window so no opening that window. I also cleaned out the bird feeders
and rained before I got done so I had to finish between rain showers. The rain
started around 9:30 am and continued off and on all day just like yesterday,
got a half inch yesterday and a half inch today. Cheri spent most of the day in
her sewing room making good progress on her quilt project. Cheri called Sandy
to see how Ron was doing and he is still in the hospital waiting to see the
doctor as he was ready to go home.
