We left the house at 9:15
am and I dropped Cheri off for her 10:00 am appointment and I went on to Lowe’s
shopping. I checked out some self-leveling compound. We have a place in the
kitchen that isn’t level and was thinking about using some of it for the low
spot. I will know more when I get the old flooring removed. The last few months
I have been checking on router tables and finally bit the bullet and bought
one. I will need it when I build the pull out drawers for the kitchen cabinets.
I also check on the flowers again and still not sure what I want, need Cheri to
help me pick out the right ones. I picked up Cheri and we headed home with a
few stops on the way. We run the car through the car wash, stopped to see if
Larry needed any help the two new windows he is putting in the house, and
stopped at the grocery store for a few things. It was a little pass 1:00 pm
when we arrived home. After lunch Cheri went back to work organizing her sewing
room. I went out to the shop and assembled my new router table and reading on
how to mount the router to it. I need to drill some holes in the mounting plate
and I didn’t feel like doing it today. It was 4:00 pm when I quit and headed to
the recliner. Cheri also had done all she wanted to do so she joined me and we
both did some reading and had an hours nap. After supper we spent the evening watching
some TV shows we had recorded.

Cheri and I were both very
busy trying to put the house back in order after getting the flooring done in
the living room, dining room, and the sewing room. I got the baseboard done in
the sewing room plus all the cleanup I had to do in the sun room and outside. I
did manage to get things done outside before the rain came. By 3:00 pm we both
had done all we could handle today. Cheri still has some things to do in her
sewing room and then we will be done for a couple of days before we do the
kitchen floor. We both had a hard time staying awake to watch TV this evening
and decided to call it a night early.

Larry and I were only
going to be able to work on the flooring this afternoon because I had to take
Cheri for her appointment this morning. But Denise offered to take Cheri for
her appointment so Larry and I could start early this morning working. So Larry
was here at 8:30 am and we got right at the flooring. Denise came to get Cheri
at 9:00 am. I figured we would just get the rest of the dining room done today
but things went really well and we cleaned everything out of Cheri’s sewing
room and got the flooring all done in there. Cheri and Denise were home long enough
to fix lunch for us and then they decided to go shopping because they weren’t
able to work on their quilts. They got home around 4:00 pm and Larry and I were
just finishing up for the day. Larry said that I should get the baseboard and
put it in before putting everything back in the sewing room. So the four of us
went to Lowe’s to buy the baseboard. I think it was around 5:30 pm when we
finally got home. I took a good hot shower while Cheri fixed supper. Then we
settled in to watch Dancing with the Stars. Cheri picked the right person to be
voted off which was an easy pick this week.

We had planned on going to
sunrise church service this morning but after working on the flooring and
moving things around yesterday we were just too tired to go. We picked Grandma
up and went to church. Church was pretty full for early service think it was
because there wasn’t any Sunday school today. After church we dropped Grandma
off and went to see Mel and Jan. Mel is having a hard time with all the pain
and with the higher pain management his balance is worst plus it affects is
mine. His spirts were high but I think he was just putting on a front for us. We
got home and was able to relax for an hour before it was time to pick up
Grandma and go to Larry and Denise’s at 2:00 pm. Larry and Denise invited us along
with two other couples over for cards and a wonderful Easter dinner. We played
a couple of games of SOB which is a card game that Grandma likes to play. Larry
and Denise have played it only a couple of times and the other two couples had never
played it before. After two games it was time for the wonderful dinner Larry
and Denise provided. After dinner I took Grandma home and then back to Larry
and Denise’s to play another game of SOB. It is the first time we have played
with eight people which made for a longer game. We all had a good time with a
lot of laughter. It was near 10:00 pm when we got home. It was a wonderful day
to spend with old and new friends.

Larry was here at 8:30 am
to help me with the flooring. Larry continued making the all the difficult cuts
and I did the laying. Cheri continued working on her quilt project. We worked
until 1:00 pm as we had to be ready for a pizza party at Larry and Denise’s
club house at 2:00 pm. It was all the pizza you wanted to eat for $5.00 plus
salad, drink, and dessert. After we got our fill of pizza we went back to Larry
and Denise’s and played a game of Hand, Knee, and Foot that Cheri and Denise
won. So there long dry spell of losing is over. I think it was around 5:30 pm
when we headed for home as we had to stop at the grocery store to pick up a few
things Cheri needed to make dessert for tomorrow. While Cheri was doing her
baking I decided to get the saw out and lay a few more pieces of flooring. I
got enough flooring in so we could put the couch back in place along with our
recliners. While I was putting my tools away Cheri cleaned up the living room. It
was 8:00 pm before we finally got settled in our recliners. We also got more
rain today, checked the rain gauge and we received another ¼ inch of rain.

We got going early this
morning as Larry came over at 8:30 am to help with the flooring. We could only
work until noon because today is Denise’s birthday and Larry needed to spend
some time with her before they picked us up to go to Lakeland to the Chinese restaurant
for a special Birthday dinner for Denise. We did get a little rain while we
were working on the flooring but when Larry and Denise picked us up it was
coming down in sheets. It was coming down so hard that it was hard for Larry to
see to drive. We met two other friends of Larry and Denise’s at the restaurant that
they invited to have dinner with us. We got home at 5:30 pm. I was too tired to
play cards and besides Larry and Denise needed to spend time together for her
birthday. We watched some TV and called it a night. I checked the rain gauge
and we received just under an inch of rain.

We got a call from Grandma
this morning and she told us the doctor called her and that her appointment
today has been changed to a day we couldn’t take her so Cheri had to call the
doctor to get it change. So I now have the whole day to work on the flooring. I
contacted Larry and told him he could come early to help. Denise also came with
her sewing machine. Cheri and Denise have been planning to do matching quilts
and today they finally got a chance to work on them. It looks like they have a
big quilt project. Larry and I worked all day on the floor and did get a lot
done as part of it took a lot of time because of all the odd cuts that needed
to be made. Larry did all the cutting and I did the laying. Larry was much
better at figuring out all the odd cuts that would have taken me a lot longer.
I think it was close to 6:00 pm when we finally called it quits and got things
cleaned up. Cheri fixed barbeque on toast for supper. Tomorrow is Denise’s
birthday and we are going to Lakeland leaving here at 2:00 pm to eat and celebrate
her birthday. Larry and I are going to work on the flooring again tomorrow
morning.

Our winter has turned back
to spring again. It wasn’t as cold this morning and turned out to be a wonderful
day with a high temp near 80 degrees. I got a section of the old carpeting ripped
up before it was time to take Grandma for her B-12 shot at 10:45 am. When I got
home we had company as Ross and Cindy stopped for a shot visit. They spent
their winter in a different part of the state this winter and are now here for
a week. We did several motorcycle rides together last year but neither of us was
going to be able to have a ride together this year. It was 1:00 pm when they
left and time to get back to work on the new flooring. Cheri took time out from
her rug project to help clean up the mess from removing the old carpet. Thing
went along smoothly and didn’t get done until 7:30 pm. I wanted to get enough
done so I could move the TV back on the new flooring. I was really tired and
didn’t really feel like eating any supper but Cheri fixed me some soup which
did hit the spot. After supper I took a long hot shower which helped made me
feel better. We just got our new Pure Wave Massager yesterday and Cheri gave me
wonderful massage after my shower, sure felt good. It was already 8:30 pm when
I was ready to watch TV. I didn’t even get to the sewing room to see how much
work Cheri got done on the rug quilt she is doing. She spent most all day
working on it except the time she spent helping me.

Well winter is still with
us as it was 37 degrees this morning. But on the bright side it did warm up to
be a very nice day with no jacket this afternoon. I took Cheri for her
appointment and I waited in the car for her working on the Sunday school lesson
along with some Bible study, time well spent. After lunch we went to see Mel
and Jan. They had wanted us to come and see their daughter Sherri and meet
their granddaughter Kayla along with their three great grandchildren. We had a
very nice visit with them. We were back home a little before 3:00 pm as Larry
and Denise were coming to haul our new flooring home. First Larry backed the
truck up to the house so I could get a ladder in the bed of the truck to take
the quilt block down. By the time I got the ladder out Larry already had it
down as he was able to reach it standing on the trucks tail gate. Then we
headed to Plant City to get the flooring. There were 69 boxes of flooring and
13 rolls of under lament which made a heavy load of 3,000 pounds. It made for a
good load on the truck. When we got home and had about half of it unloaded I
thought maybe we better check to made sure they gave us the right flooring and
it was. Now I have to make some decisions on which direction I am going to lay
it. I will know better on that decision after the old carpet is removed.

Yesterday I was talking
about spring being here. Well I think I must have slept through spring, summer,
and fall because winter was here. When I got up this morning it was cold and
windy. The temp was in the very low 40’s and tomorrow is supposed to be worst. This
morning I dropped Cheri off for her appointment and I went on to Lowe’s to
check out flowers and get some salt for the water softener. I didn’t think the
flowers look that good so I looked around the store for some other things I
have been thinking about. I did get the salt and was back to pick up Cheri by
11:30 am. We headed home and had some lunch before tearing up some more of the
kitchen floor. I think I am almost half down removing the old flooring. Cheri continued
working on the rug she is making, it coming together nicely. I told Cheri I was
hungry for a hamburger and fries so that is what she fixed us for supper, what
a sweet heart she is. This evening Pam and Mike came over to play a game of
Hand, Knee, and Foot. It didn’t look good for Mike and me after the first hand
as we were behind by 10,000 points. But through the next three hands we powered
back and won the game. After Mike and Pam left we settled in to watch Dancing
with the Stars that we had recorded.

Hey! Spring is here. It is
hard to believe we are heading into another season already. I must say I am
ready for it. Time to start looking for flowers to put in our pots out in front
of the house. I also need to take down our quilt block on the end of the house
as it is really faded and starting to deteriorate. Since I put up the see
through awnings I didn’t think it was going to be safe to take it down. Cheri
came up with a good idea to have Larry back his truck up to the house and set
the ladder in it so it would reach the quilt block. Grandma went to church with
us today and she also gave us a grocery list of things she needs. So this
afternoon we went to Wal-Mart to get the groceries and medicine she needed.
After all was said and done it was almost 3:00 pm when we got home. We hadn’t
had any lunch so Cheri heated up the oven and we had pizza for an early supper.
After we eat Cheri headed to the sewing room and I settled in to watch the
NASCAR race.

I was awake at
2:30 am and got up at 3:00 am not able to sleep. I did the blog and a few thing
and then went back to bed at 5:30 am and then got up a little pass 7:00 am. I
am sure it will be a long day for me. Today was the big yard sale in our park. After
breakfast we took a walk around and checked out what was for sale. We didn’t
find anything that we wanted or needed. Cheri spent most of the day in her
sewing room working on a rug she is making. I went outside and raked leaves
until it started raining. I got a little over half done. I also did some more
patching on the kitchen ceiling and have to do one more coat and that will be
done. Cheri and I rested a while and then I went to work removing part of the
old kitchen flooring getting it ready for new flooring. It is going to be a big
job in the kitchen as there are two layers of flooring to remove. Cheri was
back in her sewing room again while I was working on the flooring. After I was
done I was ready for a good hot shower and then headed for the recliner where
in a short time was sound asleep. I didn’t wake up until Cheri called me for
supper. Here are some of the pictures from yesterday.

Today was road trip day with Larry and Denise. We picked up
Larry and Denise at 10:00 am and headed to St Pete. Our first stop was to see
the Chihuly Collection. Dale Chihuly was a pioneer of the studio glass movement, Chihuly is
credited with transforming the methods of creating glass art and thereby
leading the development of complex, multi-part glass sculptures and
environmental art. However, his contributions extend well beyond the boundaries
of the studio glass movement and even the field of glass: his achievements have
influenced contemporary art in general. Our next stop was the Morean Arts
Galleries. The Morean Galleries are one of St Pete’s premiere art experiences
featuring over 25 exhibitions each year. We did see some very unusual art made
out of all kinds of scraps from junk parts. Out next stop was the Hot Shop
where we got to see some beautiful glass pieces. The high light was see a demonstration
of glass blowing and the making of a tall glass vase. Our next stop was the
Morean Center for Clay. It is located in
the old St Pete freight train depot. We got to see a lot clay pieces in
different stages of completion. It was very interesting on how it is done. We
were surprised there weren’t more artists working. The next stop was Haslam’s
Book Store. It is Florida’s largest new and used book store. They have well
over 100,000 books. Our next stop was the Mazzaro’s Italian Market. I had mentioned
a few weeks ago that we were there and now wanted Larry and Denise to see it.
Then it was time to head back to Zephyrhills to have a fish fry at the Eagle’s.
We have heard from a lot of people that the fish is really good. So this was
our first time there. Larry and Denise got there fish and we were told ours
would be a little later because we asked for baked instead of the fried. We
wait about a total of 30 minutes and kept asking where our fish was and they
kept saying it was in the oven. The next thing they made an announcement that
they were done serving fish. Long story short we didn’t get any fish to eat and
had to go through a lot to get our money back. We dropped Larry and Denise off
and headed home to have a sandwich. Other than the fish episode it was a
wonderful fun filled day spent with good friends. If I get the energy I will
try to post some pictures of our day.

Cheri was busy doing her
Thursday house work and laundry and I took Grandma for two appointments this
morning so it was 11:30 am before I got home. Cheri had her house work done and
was busy in her sewing room working on another project. After lunch I went outside
and cleaned the rain gutters and was going to do some raking of leaves but it
was too hot. So I headed inside and worked on patching the ceiling in the
kitchen where the old cabinets and light fixture hung. It is a popcorn ceiling and
I got a special patch compound for it. It looked really bad after I got done
but looked much better after it dried. I will have to do another coat and hopefully
it will be done. Cheri and Denise went to a quilt show in Lakeland this
afternoon. It was after 6:00 pm when they got home and said that there weren’t
has many vendors as last year. Neither of them made any purchases. I took
Denise home and checked on Larry’s progress on closing in his water softener, looks
really nice. We had a high temp of 89 degrees today.

Our day started out great.
I finished the kitchen cabinet trim work and Cheri worked her Easter project.
When we were leaving for Cheri’s appointment we got a call wanting to know
where she was as she missed her appointment. I had put the wrong time on the calendar
for her appointment. I really felt bad but there was nothing I could do about
it. So we decided to go and look for flooring for the kitchen. We went to
several places and ended up buying the flooring at Plywood Liquidators. They
have to order some of it from another store and should be able to pick it up on
Monday. We had a late lunch when we got home. Then Cheri went to the sewing
room and finished her Easter project and I cleaned out the car and took it
through the car wash and then to fill it up with gas. This evening we were
invited over to Larry and Denise’s to play cards. We played two games of Hand,
Knee, and Foot. Larry and I were the winners again this evening. Cheri and
Denise have been in a long loosing spell.

I took Cheri for her hair
appointment this morning. She got right in and didn’t have to wait long. Then
we went to vote. Well we were turned away and told we couldn’t vote because we
had registered as independents. When we became Floridians we registered to vote
as independents because we always vote for the person that we feel will do the
best job. So we left very upset and felt that our constitutional right had been
taken away from us. We had to make a stop at the doctor’s office to pick up
some paper work for one of Grandma’s appointments and our last stop was the
grocery store to get some milk. It was almost noon when we got home. Cheri
fixed lunch and then she finished her Tuesday house work and headed to the
sewing room. I worked on the kitchen trim. Things went well but still have on last
piece to cut and install, was just too tired to finish. Cheri and I both quit
at 4:30 pm and rested a bit before having supper.

This morning I dropped
Cheri off for her appointment and I went on to Home Depot to poke around and
check out a few things for the house. We are starting to look at new flooring for
the kitchen. Of course Cheri is the decorator and will have to pick the
flooring and I will do the installation. When we got home it was time for lunch
and then Cheri went to the sewing room as she is working on an Easter hanging
for the small frame she uses on the table. I worked on the kitchen trim and had
a good day. One more day and I will have it done. Larry and Denise came over to
play Hand, Knee, and Foot this evening. We play two games and Larry and I won
both. The last game was close one. We are now have summer like weather and I am
very happy with it. It was in the mid 80’s today.

Bruce and Jeannie went to
church with us this morning. We didn’t stay for Sunday school as Bruce and
Jeannie had to leave early this afternoon. When we got home Cheri fixed the
leftover lasagna she made the other day along with strawberry short cake from
the strawberries that Bruce and Jeannie brought. After lunch it was time to say
our good byes and told them we were looking for them to come again next year.
After they left Cheri texted Jan and Mel to see if they were up to having some company
for a bit. We got a text back telling us to come over so we headed to their
place. Mel looked the best we have seen him in weeks. Their daughter, granddaughter,
and great grandchildren are coming next Sunday for a week so they are excited
about seeing them. We got home around 4:00 pm and Cheri did a load of laundry
and I settled in for to watch the NASCAR race which had a very exciting end.
Cheri had joined me before it was over and spent time watching and playing on
her I-Pad. Cheri fixed pizza for supper.

Cheri and Jeannie went
shopping and Bruce and I went to Sun and Fun air museum in Lakeland. The museum
was very interesting and when we came out there were some jet radio controlled model
airplanes flying so we drove around where we could get a better view of them. If
I had to guess I think the planes were about ten feet long and eight feet wide.
It was fun to see them do all the different maneuvers they performed. We got
home a little before Cheri and Jeannie. A little later the four of us went out
to the airport to watch the ski divers. We even got to see a set of four come
down with large American flags waving, what a site that was. This evening Bruce
and Jeannie took us out for dinner at Longhorn Steak. We had an excellent meal
and then home to watch a little TV before calling it a night. It was a fun
filled day with good friends.

We have been having some
wonderful spring weather, so nice to be able to be out and about without a

and medicine for Grandma. She is fighting a very bad cold and sore throat. When
we got home Cheri finished her house cleaning and then to the kitchen to made homemade
lasagna and chocolate chip cookies to have this evening for supper. Bruce and
Jeannie arrived around 1:30 pm. they are down from Wisconsin and are spending a
couple of days with us. We had a good visit with them before Cheri fixed
supper. After supper we continued sitting at the kitchen table visiting until
10:00 pm. There is nothing better than visiting at the kitchen table.

We were on the road at
8:45 am heading to Brooksville for Cheri’s eye appointment. Her eye has
improved some more from her last visit but still has the double vision. On the
way home we stopped at the Florida Cracker Kitchen for an early lunch. Then we
stopped to see Cliff and Mert for a quick visit as Cliff had a knee replacement
and wanted to see how he was doing. Our next stop was the campground where Greg
and Sandy are to visit and later we all went to McDonald’s for a bugger and
drink. Then we went back to our place for more visiting. At 6:00 pm Sandy and
Greg said their good byes as they are leaving tomorrow. After they left we got
ready and headed to Ron and Sandy’s for our last Life Group gathering. It was
another good evening studying Gods word. Afterwards Sandy fixed us ice cream sundaes
and root beer floats. When we got home we were ready to call it a night and
headed for the bed room.

Our warm weather has
returned as it was 80 degrees today, my kind of weather. Cheri did some house
work this morning and I spent a little time on the kitchen molding before we
had to leave and do some errands. It was around 12:30 pm when we got back home.
We had a late lunch and then went over to the campground to see Greg and Sandy.
Later we all came back to our place for supper. I grilled up some chicken and
brats and Cheri fixed leftovers from the roast beef we had a couple of days
ago. After Greg and Sandy left we settled in for an evening of TV.

Greg and Sandy came over
at 8:00 am. Cheri and Sandy spent the day together doing whatever sisters do
when they haven’t seen each other for a few years. Greg and I headed for Bike
week at Daytona. Only this time it was by car. Larry and Denise were kind
enough to offer one of their motorcycles for us to use but Greg didn’t have and
motorcycle gear with him so we just took the car. We did have a good time
checking all the different motorcycles and vendors that were there. Greg did
buy a cap and I didn’t buy anything but did see a couple of things that caught
my eye. I will have to do some more investigating on them by way of the
internet. We were back home by 4:45 pm. Cheri wanted me to cook some chicken
and brats on the grill but I was too tired to tackle the cooking job so we
ended up going to Golden Corral again. After supper Greg and Sandy headed back
to their camper and we settled in for the evening. When I was a young boy back
on the dairy farm we had an old John Deere tractor. Well today I found one that
could work for me. I have attached a picture of it.

It was a busy day for
Cheri and me. We both had dental appointments this morning. It was 11:00 am
when we got home. Cheri headed to the sewing room and I worked on the kitchen
trim work. Cheri did take time to paint a couple pieces of trim I need where
the kitchen and dining room meet. We only had a couple of hours to work as
Cheri had an appointment this afternoon. I dropped her off and I went on to
Home Depot to look for some spray paint to match the cabinets as I have a small
drawer unit on my desk that I would like to paint. But didn’t find any that
would even come close to the right color. I did enjoy my time looking at all
the stuff and dreaming about how nice it would be to have some of the different
tools. I picked up Cheri after her appointment and then we headed to the
campground where Greg and Sandy are staying. We visited for a while and then
went to Golden Corral for dinner. It was very good and as always I eat too
much. After we eat we headed back to Greg and Sandy’s camper for more visiting.
We got home around 7:30 pm and settled in for a little TV before calling it a

When we left for church
this morning I was able to go without a jacket, first morning I have been able
to do that for a long time. We picked up Grandma at 8:45 am and took her to
church with us this morning. Church and Sunday school was both very good with a
good lesson for everyone. After we dropped Grandma off at home we stopped by
the campground to see Greg and Sandy. It was good to see them as it has been a
few years since we last saw them. We visited a while and then we all went back
to our place as we didn’t have the house last time they were in Florida. After
the house tour we settled for more visiting. This morning Cheri put a roast
beef, onions, carrots, and potatoes in the crock pot to have for supper. Around
7:00 pm Greg and Sandy headed back to their campground where they have their
fifth wheel parked. We settled in for the evening, me watching the NASCAR race
I had recorded and Cheri with her I-Pad.

It was a little colder
this morning than I thought it was supposed to be. With the motorcycle ride I
planned today I was praying for a nice day and it did warm up enough for a
great ride day. There were four of us for the ride and we headed north by way
of all the back roads to Crystal River. Our lunch stop was the Harley dealer as
they were having free food and music. Our ride was 164 miles and got home just
before 4:00 pm. Cheri and Denise went to Mount Dora for a quilt show and got
home around 4:30 pm. Cheri said that she and Denise were a little disappointed
as it wasn’t as good as the last one. When I got home I went right to work on
the kitchen cabinet trim trying to get as much done as possible before our company
gets here next week. Around 5:00 pm we got a call from Cheri’s sister Sandy and
her husband Greg and said that they are already here in a campground down the
road. So after church tomorrow we plan on seeing them. I didn’t quit work on the
kitchen trim until 7:30 pm. After the long ride I was just too tired to do any
more. We watched a little TV and called it a night.

I put in a terrible night
as I think every bone in my body hurt. So I was up at 2:30 am and then tried to
sleep in the recliner. I usually take a couple of Alieve around 6:00 pm and
forgot to take them last night. So I was kind of slow getting started today.
Cheri did house work, laundry, and then disappeared into her sewing room. I
finished the wall extension today and Cheri got it painted so I could get the
last piece of crown molding up. I also got the bird feeders cleaned up and
refilled, did some detail cleaning on the motorcycle, and got it gassed up for
our ride tomorrow. We got a call from Denise letting us know that Larry was
doing well and had no pain in his leg today and wants us to come over this
evening to play cards. We only played one game as I was very tired from not
getting enough sleep last night.

I put another coat of
plaster on the wall extension, hopefully two more coats and it will be ready to
paint. While I was working on the wall Cheri was busy making a dessert to take
to our Life Group gathering this evening. When she got done she headed to the
sewing room and I took over the kitchen as I made a big crock pot of mushroom
soup. Cheri doesn’t like mushrooms so I didn’t think it would be fair for her
to make something she doesn’t like. Around 11:30 am Cheri said that she would
like to go shopping for some material she needs for the project she is working
on. Plus she said that we should stop at Taco Bell for lunch. It is a place her
and Denise go for lunch when Larry and I are out for a motorcycle ride. It has
been at least eight years since I have last been to a Taco Bell’s. I must say
it was pretty good and not too expensive (senior drink is free). From there we
went to Hobby Lobby to get the material and I even help her pick out the
material which is something I rarely do. When we got home we both did some
reading and resting. Around noon we had heard from Denise and said that they
had to stop the stress test that Larry was having. His blood pressure took a
dive from the injection they gave him. They sent him back to his room and told
him to get something to eat and then go back to finish the test. We hadn’t
heard anything else so around 4:00 pm we headed over to hospital and Larry had
just gotten back to his room and were waiting for the test results to see if he
could go home. Later Denise e-mailed us that all the test were good and he was released
and were going out to get something to eat and then home to rest. We had
another good evening at our Life Group gathering studying Gods word. We always
come home feeling a high from studying Gods word and being with friends while
doing it.

Our day started out as
always me doing the blog and then checking our e-mail. We had an e-mail from
Denise letting us know that she took Larry to the emergency room at 2:00 am
with chest pains. So I woke Cheri up and we got ready and headed to the
emergency room to see about Larry. He was resting and waiting for some of the
test results. He was told that it wasn’t a heart attack and was going to do
more test on him. He had been having a problem with is leg and thought that he
might have had a blood clot. When we left he was waiting for the heart doctor
to come. While we were out we stopped at the grocery store to get groceries as
we were out of a lot of things. This afternoon Cheri worked in her sewing room
and I have now finished all the kitchen trim that I have on hand except for the
one piece of crown molding. I put another coat of plaster on the wall
extension. We got an e-mail this evening letting us know that the rest of the
kitchen trim I ordered was shipped today which is good news because I am ready
for it. This evening we went back to see Larry who was still in the emergency room
as the hospital didn’t have any open rooms. They still haven’t been able to
find out what happened and are going to keep him over night and will have an
echo test and stress test in the morning.

I started out the blog
with Feb-30-16 before I realized that can’t be right. I think I am back on the
right road now. Cheri and I both had a good day. Cheri is making a rug for a kid’s
room and was busy today cutting out pieces of material for it. I continued working
on the back splash trim, crown molding, and light rail. Everything went smoothly
for me. I have run out of back splash trim and light rail. I order the extra I needed
back in January and was told it would be shipped around Feb 19, I am still
waiting for it to be shipped. I have one piece of crown molding to install and
that project will be done. I have to finish the section of wall before I can
install it. We headed out at 2:45 pm this afternoon as we had a couple of
errands to get done. It was after 6:00 pm when we finally got home. We had left
overs for supper and settled in for an evening of TV.

Gay Feb-29-16

Hard to believe it is that
last day of February already and we even had an extra day. Cheri headed off to
the sewing room to start a new quilt project, busy trying to pick out the
colors for the project. Sometimes it takes her a couple days just to get the
right colors. I worked on the crown molding, added a little additional height
to the end wall of the cabinets as I hadn’t thought about the crown molding
when I built the wall. I also worked on the trim around the back splash and
installed another piece of light rail. My day didn’t go as well as I had
planned, had a lot of little problems that took extra time to figure out. It
was 5:00 pm when I finally quit for the day. Larry and Denise came over to play
cards this evening and it was another good evening for Larry and me as we won
both games. It wasn’t as cold this morning only in the low 40’s and warm up
quickly to the high 70’s.
