Gay July-30-16

Before we got started with
anything we headed over to Grandma’s to apply the ointment cream on her back.
When we got home Cheri worked in the kitchen making Maine baked beans, fresh
baked bread, and some molasses cookies. The baked beans are from a recipe that
her mother had. It was something that they had every Saturday night for supper
when she was growing up. I worked on cutting and fitting the new shelves for
the spice rack. I spent a lot of time cutting the Plexiglas. It just wasn’t
turning out the way I wanted it to. After several tries with the jig saw I
tried the table saw with a fine tooth blade and that worked much better but
still not real happy with the results. I got all the holes drilled and ready to
install the Plexiglas to the shelves. Next I painted the shelves and they need
to dry before I can go any farther. It was already 3:30 pm and I was ready to
quit for the day. After I got cleaned up we went back to Grandma’s to apply the
ointment cream. When we got home it was time for the baked beans and fresh
baked bread. After supper we settled in to watch a couple of our favorite
shows, Home Free and Suits.
