Cheri and I were at the donut shop before 7:00 am for our usual Saturday morning breakfast of an egg, cheese, and bacon croissant sandwich that we share and then each had a cinnamon roll plus splitting a double chocolate cake donut and coffee. When we got home I got ready and headed over to do some bathroom work. I finished installing the rest of the sheetrock and got all the seams tape and ready for plaster. I was done and back home a little after 1:00 pm. Cheri had been shopping and told me that we were going out for a late lunch or early dinner with Mike and Pam at the Abby in San Antonio (Florida). So I headed to the shower to get cleaned up. We had time to read our Sunday school lesson before we left for Mike and Pam’s at 2:15 pm. Lunch/dinner was good and we stopped at Burger King on the way back to Mike and Pam’s for ice cream cones. We had a good visit, mostly about the house they want to buy. They are waiting for an answer back on the house they put an offer on. It was around 5:30 pm when we got home. We settled in the recliners for an evening of TV and was more napping for me than watching TV. Thank you God for time spent with friends today.

I had a really good day and it all started at 6:10 am when I left the house to attend Bible study and breakfast with my accountability group in Dade City. We finished up Romans chapter 8 this morning. I was back home a little pass 8:00 am. Talked with Cheri for a while before heading out to my bathroom project. I double checked all the plumbing and no leaks. I got the new door opening to the closet cut out. The rest of the time was installing sheetrock which I run out of around 2:00 pm. Which was OK because I had gotten a call from a person in Tampa Bay country that there was a water leak under the kitchen sink so I headed over to take care of it. Turned out the leak was coming from the drain trap which I replaced. On the way home I stopped at Lowe’s and got another sheet of sheetrock and some outside plaster corners. It was around 4:30 pm when I got home. Cheri had been doing the Friday laundry and then went shopping for some clothes for Grandma. She had bought some the other day and had to return some that didn’t fit and also had the same problem today. The air conditioner I order for the church kitchen came today so as soon as the electrical is done I will be installing it. Cheri fixed us pork chops and green beans for supper. We watched some more of the new season shows before calling it a night. Thank you God for a blessed day.

I didn’t get as much done today as I thought I would. I am still working on the bathroom project and will be for some time. I was working on getting the water installed to the shower which should have taking a couple of hours. I had to make a trip to Lowe’s this morning to get supply lines for the shower faucet. While hooking up the water I realized two of the supply lines were too short so it was back to Lowe’s for two longer lines. Things went well until I turned on the water as the front of the faucet came apart and had water all over. When I had bought the faucet set the box had been opened and there were only two sets and both had been opened. After checking them out it looked like everything was there. Well it turned out that the retaining ring was missing which holds the faucet cartridge in place. So back to Lowe’s and they now had a couple of new boxes that hadn’t been opened and bought one of them for the parts. After a few more minor problems I got the water hooked up. After all of this it was 2:30 pm. I decided to go and see about the glass for the shower wall. Not real happy about what I found out. They won’t come out and measure until the tile is installed which I can understand but after they do measure it will be three to four weeks for the install. Which all of this means I won’t be able to have the project done before Bob and Donna return for the winter. Cheri was busy with laundry and Thursday house work. I think she also spent some time in her sewing room. This evening we met Mike and Pam at Culver’s for supper and then went with them to look at another house. It is a very nice home and I think the best one so far that we have looked at. I couldn’t see where any work had to be done. They plan on putting in an offer on it. It was 7:30 pm when we got home to settle in and watch some TV before calling it a night. It started raining around 9:00 pm and continued with a light rain all night. Thank you God for a blessed day.

I was back to work on the bathroom project. I am happy with the design change that I made to the entrance of the shower which makes it look much better.  I continued with wall framing. The good news is 90 percent of it is done. Later this afternoon I made a trip to Lowe’s to get the shower faucet, toilet shutoff, and some additional plumbing fitting for the shower water supply. Cheri was out shopping today and stopped by on her way home to see how I was doing. It was near 4:30 pm when I got home and was pleased on what I got done today. After my shower and supper Cheri and I settled in to watch some more of the new fall shows. We watched New Amsterdam which was full of action and we liked it. We also watch FBI and looks like it might make the grade. Then it was time to watch Survivor which we like. Although I went to sleep during the show and will have catch up on it tomorrow. We have had a few days without rain which is really nice, still very hot in the low 90's. Thank you God for a very productive day.

I started back on the bathroom project before 8:00 am. I had a good day framing the shower wall which I hope to finish tomorrow. I had Cheri come over late today to help me decide how to make the opening into the shower. After Cheri and I talked about it I think I have a plan on what to do. A lot of the project is design as I build which makes it harder to do and still give the customer what they want. Cheri got her Tuesday house work done and then spent the rest of the day in her sewing room. I was at a good stopping point at 4:00 pm so I was done work for the day. We had leftovers from our supper last night. We watched a couple of the new fall shows and didn’t care for 911. Not sure about Magnum P Eye, when you have watched the old one it is hard to adjust to the new version. I went to bed early and left Cheri to watch Dancing with the Stars. Thank you God for helping us through another day.

It was another busy day and still didn’t get everything done that I wanted to. I got the sheet rock installed to close up the closet door from the bedroom. I got the vanity raised 3 ½ inches. I started on the end wall for the shower but run out of materials. So Cheri went with me to Lowe’s to pick up more lumber and a large cabinet that I will have to assemble. I did have help from Lowe’s to load everything but I never would have been able to unload without Cheri’s help. After we were done with that I dropped Cheri off a home and I headed over to Ron and Sandy’s. They had a burned out oven element which Ron replace but the oven still isn’t working. After checking it out I found that it was missing one of the 240 volt legs. I checked further and think it might be a thermal breaker that is causing the problem. But to be on the safe side Ron is going to call in an appliance repairman. It was 6:30 pm when I got home to get cleaned up and ready for supper. Cheri had swift steak going in the crockpot for supper along with biscuits and mashed potatoes. After supper I ordered a new air conditioner for the church kitchen. Cheri spent most of the day in her sewing room. She has another quilt hanger done. I tried to watch some TV this evening but napped most of the time. I went to bed leaving Cheri to watch Dancing with the Stars. Thank you God for a productive day.

Grandma went to church with us today. Pastor Randy had a great message “A Bed Of Roses” today from Acts 14:19-28. Charlie is back from vacation to teach our Sunday school class. This week we were studying Galatians 3:23-29 and 4:1-7. Our class as raise enough money to have the house where we have our Sunday school class tented for termites and also to get a tree removed. After that is done we hope to do some remodeling inside the house. I also took measurements to see about replacing the air conditioner in the church kitchen which isn’t working and put in new larger unit. It was near 1:00 pm when we got home. I headed for the recliner to watch the rest of the NASCAR race I had recorded and then the Wisconsin Badger football game I also had recorded. Cheri spent the afternoon in her sewing room. This evening we had our normal Sunday evening meal of pizza. We watched a couple of movies before calling it a night. Thank you God for time spent with you and Christian friends.

Today started with Cheri and I going to the Donut Hole for other usual breakfast sandwich and we tried the Bear Claw this morning but still like the cinnamon roll better. After breakfast we headed over to Wal-Mart to get Grandma’s groceries and some light bulbs as one of her kitchen lights was burned out. We dropped off her groceries and I had bought the wrong light bulbs. When we got home I planned on a no work away from home today. So I went up on the roof and cleaned all the sticks and twigs off and use the leave blower get the leaves off. Then I cleaned the gutters which were plugged with leaves at the downspouts. Grandma wanted me to spray around her house so I went back to Wal-Mart to get the right light bulbs and then to Grandma’s to change the light and spray around the house. From there I went to check Larry and Denise’s house. Everything looked good and while I was there I replace the piece of siding that had come off and also snapped some other pieces back into place. When I got home Cheri was working in her sewing room. I got the power washer out and got the rest of the driveway power washed along with the shed. It was after 3:30 pm when I got done. It was time to get cleaned up as we were going out for dinner with Mike and Kathy (our next door neighbors). We went to Lakeland to eat at Harry’s Seafood Bar & Grill (my favorite place). Mike and Kathy had never been there before and thought that everything was very good. We got home at 7:30 pm. Cheri started reading and I did some computer work before I settled in to watch the NASCAR race. We finally called it a night and I will watch the rest of the race tomorrow. Thank you God for wonderful and productive day.

I left the house at 6:10 am for breakfast and Bible study with my accountability group in Dade City. Charlie our Bible study leader is on vacation so it end up just being breakfast. I was home a little before 8:00 am. Time to get back to work on the bathroom project. I got the barn door opening framed, still have to remove the old door but want to wait so the dust doesn’t get into the closet. I got the other door into the closet framed and ready for drywall. I got the shower wall base framed in for the shower membrane. I started on the end wall by the vanity and not happy with how big it is going to be. Time to rethink the design of the shower. When I got home I was telling Cheri about the design and she went over with me and helped me with some different ideas. After about three different ways of doing things we came up with a way that we think will solve the problem. It was already after 4:00 pm so Cheri and I went over to Culver’s for a couple of kid meals for our supper (good deal and you get ice cream). Cheri finished the laundry along with the other Friday house work she does. She also working on another quilted hanger. The evening was once again reading and watching TV. Also a snack for me so I could stay awake to watch a movie we had recorded. Thank you God for helping us through another day.

I was back to work on the bathroom project. I got the medicine cabinet framed in, the electrical work done, the bedroom wall closed up, and got the outside wall of the new shower framed. It was a good day and things went well. I quit a little early as I had to remove some gates across a driveway so that the drive way can be resurfaced. I stopped to check out another job but the people weren’t home. Cheri was busy with the laundry and ironing. This afternoon she was back to working in her sewing room. For some reason we both had dull headaches that lasted most of the day. We have had a few days without rain which seem nice but still have the high humidity and temps in the low 90’s. We had a video call with Darren and he is busy with work and taking care of Wyatt this week as Brooke is in Atlanta for a week. It was a normal evening of TV watching a couple of shows we had recorded. Thank you God for all the blessing you give us.

Cheri told me that I needed a haircut and this morning I decided to get it done before going to work as the last few days I was going to have it done after work but was too tired and wouldn’t go. So I was a little later getting back to work on the bathroom project. Today I worked on the wall framing for the recessed medicine cabinet. I thought I could just open one side of the wall between the bathroom and bedroom but that wasn’t the case. I ended up opening both sides so I could relocate a stud to make room for the cabinet. Plus then I have to move the light switch and do some rewiring. So a small project has tuned into a large one. I also had to make a trip to Harbor Freight for some saw blades and to Lowe’s for electrical supplies. While I was out I also took the truck through the car wash. Needless to say I didn’t even come close to getting done what I thought I would. At 4:30 pm I decide I had done enough for the day. Cheri was out shopping today and then worked in the sewing room and finished another quilt hanger. She also made a batch of chocolate cookies. This evening was watching TV and reading. We watched the last episode Mountain Men which we really like. Thank you God for being with us today.

I had a good day with the bathroom project. I got the rest of the plumbing rough in done and the sub floor back in place. Late this afternoon I made a trip to Lowe’s for a pail of joint compound so I can plaster up all the drywall joints where the batten strips were. I also got some more two by threes for the two door projects. When I got home I went over next door to Jean’s as she got a new TV and wanted me to hook it up for her. Everything went well until I hooked up the cable box which she hasn’t been using and couldn’t get a signal from the box, think the company disconnected it. I didn’t have time to call and find out as I had to be ready by 5:00 pm. Barbra, the lady I did the kitchen backsplash for took Cheri and I out for dinner at the Texas Road House for a thank you for what we did for her. Cheri had helped her pick out the backsplash tile and paint color for kitchen, living room, and dining room. Cheri did her Tuesday house work and then went over to visit with Jean. Cheri said that she wasn’t in the mood to do any sewing today. Thank you God for a blessed day.

I was back to work on the bathroom project today. The plan was to get all the plumbing roughed in. I got the floors opened up and did a survey on what I needed for the project and headed to Lowe’s for the materials. When I started laying the toilet drain I run into another problem as when I moved some of the insulation there was the steel frame of the house which was going to be a problem. I headed back to Lowe’s to get some additional fittings. After some additional work I got the toilet plumbing done. Next was to work on the shower drain rough-in. I had to open up more of the outside wall so I can add more support for the shower end wall which has to be done before I can proceed with the shower drain as the new shower vent has to be in the new wall. Long story short I didn’t get as much done as I wanted today. I had started at 8:00 am and was near 5:00 pm when I got home. Cheri spent the day with Monday house work and time in the sewing room. We had brought home some leftover pulled pork from Linger Longer yesterday so Cheri fixed us the pull pork along with leftover baked beans for supper. Our evening was spent watching some shows we had recorded. Thank you God for guiding us through our problems today.

Cheri was busy early this morning putting together baked beans to take to Sunday school as today after Sunday school is our Linger Longer (potluck dinner). Grandma went to church with us today. Pastor Randy’s message was “First Things First” from Acts 13:26-40. Charlie was gone on vacation today so Jerry Marcum from our class filled in for Charlie. Our Linger Longer meal was pulled pork with all the side dishes that everyone brought. No one went away hungry. It was after 2:30 pm when we got home. We change clothes and then headed to Floor Décor & More in Lakeland to pick up some tile and other materials for the bathroom project. By the time all was done it was 5:00 pm when we got home. Time for Cheri to settle in with her book and me watching the NASCAR race. We passed on supper as we were still full from Linger Longer. We only had a few sprinkles for rain today. Our weather is still in the 90’s with high humidity. Thank you God for time spent with you and Christian friends.

Cheri and I were at the Donut Hole a little before 7:00 am having our usual breakfast sandwich along with cinnamon rolls and coffee. We were back home 7:45 am. Cheri was going to a craft fair with Pam and Sandy today. Pam picked up Cheri at 8:45 am. I headed over to where I am doing the bathroom project to load the truck with all the demo material and take it to the dump. On the way back I stopped at Home Depot to pick up two of the medicine cabinets that Cheri and I looked at Friday night. They are surface mount cabinets but I have figured out on to recess them. When I got home I cleaned out the truck bed and then went to Lowe’s for some sheet rock and lumber for the bathroom project. I was just heading back home when I got a call from Cheri letting me know I was to meet Ron and Mike at along with Pam, Sandy, and Cheri at Golden Corral for lunch. After lunch I took Cheri home so she could change clothes and then help me unload the sheet rock and lumber. The sheet rock was too much for me to handle by myself. After dropping Cheri off at home I headed to Tampa Bay country to install a new kitchen faucet and then another place to repair a bifold door. It was 5:00 pm when I got home. After my shower I was ready to relax and watch the Wisconsin Badger football game which they lost and the Badgers were favored by two touchdowns. Cheri and I pasted on supper because of the big lunch at Golden Corral. We also watch a movie along with a couple of other shows we had recorded. Thank you God for a good day and time spent with friends.

I headed out at 6:10 am to have Bible study and breakfast with my accountability group in Dade City. Today we studied the first part of Romans chapter eight. I was back home a little past 8:00 am. I visited with Cheri a few minutes before heading to the bathroom project. I removed the doors and hardware from the vanity so they will be ready for paint. I removed wall board from around where the new shower stall will be and is about ready for the backer board. I got the door removed from the bedroom into the closet and the opening is ready for framing. As of now about 95 percent of the demo is done. I was done work by 2:30 pm and took time to make a list of the materials I need to start the install. When I got home I took my shower and headed to the recliner for an hours nap. Cheri was busy with laundry, ironing, and other Friday house work. I think she did spend some time in her sewing room. We met Pam & Mike and Ron & Sandy at Culver’s for supper. We had a good visit catching up on what everyone has been doing. Afterwards Cheri and I went with Pam and Mike to look at another house. We weren’t able to get inside but checked out the outside. I could see a possible water drainage problems and it was damp under the house and also had a musty smell. After that Cheri and I went over to Home Depot to check out medicine cabinets for the bathroom project. I did find something that I think I can cut down to recess into the wall (still need to do more thinking on how to do it). It was near 8:30 pm when we got home. We did have some rain yesterday but none today, nice to have a day without rain. Thank you God for being with us today and time spent with good friends.

It was another very productive day for me working on the bathroom project. I got a lot more of the demo done. I really wanted to get the shower module out in one piece as it is in great shape but it wouldn’t fit through the bedroom door, sure hated to cut it up. Nice to be working inside where I have air conditioning. I did come home for lunch as I need a couple tools I didn’t have with me. This morning after getting the laundry started Cheri was out for a haircut and a trip to the bank. Jean was over for a visit to give Cheri an update on her doctor’s appointment. Later this afternoon Cheri went grocery shopping. This evening was spent watching some TV shows we had recorded along with a piece of apple pie that Cheri made yesterday. Thank you God for guiding us through another day.

I had a good day which started at 8:15 am. My first stop was at Judy’s where Cheri and I built the gazebo. She had the rain problem where the water off the house roof was coming done inside the gazebo. There is only an inch of room from the roof overhang to the edge of the gazebo. So I made a gutter that is one inch wide and four inches deep and seven feet long to divert the water. My next stop was Bob and Donna’s at 10:00 am to start the bathroom remodel. This was demo day. I got a lot done but still have more demo to do. I was home a little after 4:00 pm. Cheri didn’t have a very good day as she had a very bad headache. She still made potato salad and ham for supper along with fresh baked dinner rolls. She also made an apple pie for dessert. After supper we made a trip to Lowe’s to get some plumbing supplies as I need to cap off some water lines from the bathtub, shower, and toilet as everything will be moved to a different location. On the way home we stopped at Wawa to have a couple of mint chocolate chip Flurricanes which are like DQ’s Blizzards but much cheaper. This evening Cheri read and watched TV. I went to bed early as I was really tired. Thank you God for a productive day.

I had a good day and got the work done at Barbra’s. I did some touch up painting, installed a new outside light, patched some holes in the walls and door frames, repaired some floor molding, and did the final caulking around the kitchen sink. I was done and home by 3:00 pm. it was good to be able to relax after my shower or I should say it was a nice nap. Cheri was busy with her Tuesday house work. Jean came over at 10:00 am to visit with Cheri and stayed until after 1:00 pm. Cheri fixed us a philly steak sandwich but used chicken instead of the steak along with vegetable soup for supper. This evening we went over to see Mike and Kathy who just got home from being up north for the summer, good to have them back. When we got home we watched a little TV and then called it a night. It was another day without rain. Thank you God for guiding us through another day.

First thing this morning I met with the painter that will be doing the painting in the bathroom of my next project. He is also going to be doing other painting in the house. A little past 9:00 am I was at work at Barbra’s as the countertops have been resurfaced and look really nice so today I installed a new kitchen sink which turned out to be a big job as all the plumbing had to be changed. I also got all the caulking done. It was 4:00 pm when I got done. I still have some touch up painting to do along with a few other things she wants done. When I got home I was going to unload the truck but was too tired. I did feel better after my shower. Cheri spent most of the day in her sewing room. She has completed another quilt project for the stand that she displays them in. I got an e-mail from Grandma telling me I needed to watch the rest of the Green Bay Packer game. Roger’s came back the second half and lead the team to an exciting win over the Chicago Bears. I also watched the NASCAR race that was rained out yesterday and was run today. Cheri spent the evening reading while I was watching TV. We didn’t get any rain today but later this afternoon I could hear a lot of thunder in the distance. Thank you God for a blessed day.

Grandma went to church with us today. I usually ask Pastor Randy to e-mail me a copy of his message notes when I know Grandma is going to church with us. But I forgot to e-mail him for the notes. So when we got to church I talked to Pastor Randy and he went and made a copy for Grandma. This afternoon Cheri read while I settled in to watch the NASCAR race which was in a rain delay and then postponed until tomorrow. So I ended up taking a long nap which made me feel better. We watched several episodes of Mountain Men which comes on the History channel. We had a rain storm come through around 6:00 pm and rained really hard with lots of lighting and thunder. I checked the rain gauge and we received just under two inches. I watched the first half of the Green Bay Packers football game which was really bad as the Packers had a hard time moving the ball and then the Rogers got hurt and couldn’t play. I turned off the TV at half time and the score was Chicago Bears 17 and the Packers 0. I recorded the game and not sure if I will watch the rest or not. Thank you God for time spent with you and friends today.

Cheri and I went for breakfast at the Donut Hole for our usual Saturday morning breakfast. Then we went to Wal-Mart to get Grandma’s groceries and medicine. After we got home Cheri spent time working in her sewing room. I worked on a project to be install at the place where we built the gazebo to keep the water from the house roof from going into the gazebo. I was planning on taking it up to see if it would work. But got a call to check out an additional project on the bathroom I will be remodeling. After that meeting I didn’t have time to go and do the gazebo rain project. I did get the truck cleaned out and ready for Monday. After a shower and getting cleaned up I watched some of the Badger Football game before Mike and Pam came to pick us up and go with them to Lumber Liquidators to help them find some flooring to replace the carpet in two bedrooms of the house they will be buying. They want to have the flooring installed before they move in. We also did some shopping and then went to Wasabi Japanese Steakhouse for dinner. We had been there once before and was very good. When we got home I settled in to watch the rest of the football game while Cheri read. After the game we watched a couple of shows we had recorded. Thank you God for a blessed day.

My day started early as I was out the door at 6:10 am heading to Dade City for my accountability group Bible study and Breakfast. Today were where studying Romans chapter seven. I was back home a little past 8:00 am. Then at 8:30 am I headed over to do the grouting on the kitchen backsplash. I was ready to start grouting when I found that the guy bought the wrong grout so I made quick trip to Lowe’s for the right grout. Things went well and I was done with the project by 3:00 pm. I will have to go back to do some caulking when the countertops get completed. Then I went back to Lowe’s to get some material for a project I want to complete tomorrow. Cheri was busy with the Friday laundry, shopping and working in her sewing room. She has completed another quit for her display hanger that she keeps on the kitchen counter. After I got cleaned up and supper we made a trip to Floors Décor in Lakeland to get some ideas on how to complete an upcoming bathroom project. It was around 9:00 pm when we arrived home. Just a little rain shower today that didn’t amount to much. Thank you God for helping us through another day.

It was a good day for both Cheri and me. I was back to work at 8:30 am to finish the backsplash tile install. I was done by 2:30 pm, tomorrow I should be able to do the grouting. Then I headed for Rick and Gloria’s to fix their lawn mower that I found a bad spindle bearing last week. Rick was able to get new bearing installed in the existing spindle. After getting it back together I mowed the lawn which should have been done last Saturday. It was 5:45 pm when I got home. I was hot and tired so the shower felt really good. Cheri was busy this forenoon with laundry and her normal Thursday house work. This afternoon she met Lee at the quilt shop in Dade City.  They both came home with some additional material. Cheri spent the rest of the afternoon in her sewing room. She also made a meatloaf for supper along with a baked potato with creamed corn. I had about half an hour to rest before meeting Donna Perkins at her place to go over the plans for her bathroom remodel. She had sample of the tile she wants installed on the floor and in the shower. Between the two of us I think we have a final plan on how she wants it done. It was near 9:00 pm when I got home. I watched a little TV with Cheri before calling it a night. We also got another inch of rain this evening. Thank you God for a blessed day.

Tile is now ready for grout

It was a day without rain but still very hot. I worked on a new project of doing another kitchen backsplash. I had figured on getting all the tile installed today but that didn’t happen as they removed the small backsplash that was the same as the counter top. Which was the right thing to do but when I checked on doing it they wanted to keep the small backsplash. So I had some additional prep work to do before I could start the tile install. After I got started things went well and was done for the day at 4:30 pm. I was really tired and ready for my shower. I had put in a bad night and had to push myself to work today. Cheri spent most of her day in the sewing room and I never did get in to see what she got done today. We had leftover lasagna and garlic bread for supper. Our TV evening was short for me as I napped until it was time to call it a night. Thank you God for guiding us through another day.

I didn’t have any work planned for today so Cheri and I went out for breakfast at Sunrise Eatery. It was been a while since we have had breakfast there as we have been going to the Donut Hole. After breakfast on the way home we made a stop at the bank. Cheri went to work on her Tuesday projects and then to the sewing room. She has finished another quilt project. Mid-morning I got a call from Jim and Linda friends from Sunday school. The handle on their microwave broke and wanted to see if I could fix it. I made a trip to Lowe’s to pick up some Gorilla glue. I glued the handle back on, now it is a wait and see if it does the trick. On the way home I made a stop at Barbra’s as the guy that is going to resurface the counter tops is to start today. Sure enough he was busy working. As of now it looks like I will be installing the new sink next Monday. I also made another stop a few doors down the street to let them know I will start installing their kitchen backsplash tomorrow. Next I had an afternoon appointment to check out a bathroom remodel project. As of now it looks like I will be doing the project which probably will take me two or three weeks to complete. This evening was Men’s Night Out at church. I had to be at church at 5:00 pm to help get things set up. We had around 35 men come for pizza and salad. Pastor James presented the message for us. After getting the cleanup done it was a little past 8:00 pm when I got home. Only received a few rain showers today. Thank you God for the day.

I had a really good day getting a lot of small jobs done. My day started here in the park at 9:00 am removing a kitchen sink for Barbra where I did the kitchen backsplash so the guy can refinish the counter tops. Then it was on to Tampa Bay country to install a Ring doorbell. This was a new experience for me, first time working with the Ring doorbell. The install was the easy part but setting it up and hooked to the internet was the hard part. With the owners help we finally got it working correctly. My next stop was to remove old outside garage lights and install new ones. Of course it started raining on the install and the owner held the umbrella for me. The next stop was to tighten a kitchen faucet which I was able to do but now the owner has decided to get a new faucet for me to install. My last stop was to finish the closet install because of not having the part that I had left at Lowe’s. On the way home I stopped and filled the truck with gas. I was home at 5:00 pm and ready for my nice hot shower. Cheri spent most of the day in her sewing room. She made lasagna and garlic Texas toast for supper. The rain was off and on most of the day, checked the rain gauge and we received another inch. Thank you God for a good day.

Grandma went to church with us this morning. The message was delivered by Pastor Mike as Pastor Randy is on vacation. Pastor Mike had retired and came back to deliver the message which was really good. Today in Sunday school we started a new lesson book and will be studying the books of Galatians and James. When we got home we settled in for an afternoon of football and racing for me which turned out to be more napping then watching. Cheri spent time reading and napping. Late this afternoon we met Mike and Pam at 5:00 pm to check out three more houses. The one they had planned on buying fell through and had to start looking again. After checking out the three house’s we all came to the conclusion on the one that we thought was the best. After checking those out the four of us went to Calver’s for supper and to talk about the houses. It was 8:00 pm when we arrived home for the evening. We watched a little TV before calling it a night. Yes we did get a rain shower this evening but didn’t amount to much. Thank you God for guidance and being with friends.

Cheri and I headed out at 7:30 am for breakfast at the Donut Hole. We were back at home by 8:30 am. I planned on no work today as we had plans on going to Parrish to see Pat and Roger. Pat and Cheri have been friends for 55 years. So at 9:30 am we were on the road to Parrish. Pat and Roger are down from Maine for a couple of weeks as they have sold their place here in Florida and will close on it Thursday. They are going to rent a van to haul back to Maine some things they want to keep. We had a good visit with a lot of laughs. We went out for lunch and then back to their house for more visiting. At 3:30 pm we headed for home and arrived at 4:30 pm. We didn’t have any rain so I decided I better go to Rick and Gloria’s to mow their lawn.  When I started to mow I could hear a noise coming from the mower that shouldn’t be there. So I quit and took the mower into the garage and after checking things out I found that one of the spindle bearing is bad. So I took it apart so Rick could take it to the dealer to have new bearing installed. I was back home by 6:30 pm and ready for a shower. Cheri was working in her sewing room. After I showered Cheri fixed me a ham sandwich to eat while watching the Wisconsin Badger football game that I had recorded. Pam called and said that they looked at four houses and want Cheri and I to check out two of them. So we are going to meet at 5:00 pm tomorrow to check them out. We also got a video call from Darren and got to talk and see Wyatt. Thank you God for our outing and safe travels today.

Cheri was busy with laundry and Friday house work. She made New England clam chowder and lemon pie to take over to one off our church friends that had knee surgery. She also found time to work in her sewing room. This morning I made a stop at Lowe’s for materials to finish the closet project I started a week ago. Things went well and was about to put in the last wire shelf and couldn’t find the shelf bracket I bought. I checked everywhere and couldn’t find it. I figured out that when I left Lowe’s with the lumber I forgot to take the bag with the brackets. So long story short I will have to go back to install the shelf bracket before that project will be done. I stopped at Lowe’s on the way home to return some materials I didn’t need and sure enough they had my bag of shelf brackets waiting for me. It was 5:00 pm when I got home and headed for the shower which felt really good. The only rain we had today was a few sprinkles which was just enough to get the road wet. Thank you God for being with us today.
