Gay Feb-8-10

I was up at 3:30 am to see if the Space Shuttle was going to go up. I got Cheri up at 4:00 am and at about 4:10 am we headed outside to watch it go up. The sky was clear and there was no problem watching it go up. We really wanted to see this event as it is the last night launch for the Space Shuttle. I took some pictures but it looks like a star in the sky. After the Shuttle lift off we did our morning walk. We had used Grandma’s van yesterday and needed to drop it off at her place, well the windows were iced up and had to wait for them to clear before we could drive. I keep wondering if we are really in Florida. It was 37 degrees this morning but did warm to 65 degrees with mostly sunshine. I went looking for Bud this morning to see if he wanted to go for a motorcycle ride today and he wasn’t home. I came back home and was getting the bike ready to ride when Bud showed up. To make a long story short we left at 10:30 am for a ride, it was 52 degrees when we left. We rode over to Kissimmee and stopped at the Harley dealer there. Then stopped for lunch and headed home, it was 3:00 pm when we got back. Cheri had been up to Paul & Bev’s helping Bev lay out the pattern for her quilt. Cheri said that the quilter had called and said that her quilt was done. So we headed out to her place to get the quilts. They look very nice and Cheri is happy (which is a good thing). Now she has to put on the binding and they will be done. I did some brats on the grill for supper tonight and then our evening walk. We both headed for bed early this evening as both were tired from our early morning. It was another great day in cold Florida.
