Sharp's Travels

Cheri wanted to know what I was going to do today. I said I didn’t have any plans because it was going to rain. She wants me to take her and Bev to Lakeland shopping at some fabric stores. Paul was doing concrete work in front of their steps that goes into their park model and wouldn’t be gong with us. I walked over to get Grandma’s to get the van and asked her if she wanted to ride along. She said that would be great as she doesn’t get out much, so the four of us headed for Lakeland. Our first stop was at the Fabric Warehouse. It doesn’t take me long to look at material so I went back out the car and did some reading in the book I brought along. It was long before Grandma came out. When Cheri and Bev came out we headed to The Patchwork Pig. Grandma and I stayed and waited in the van. From there we made a stop at the Olive Garden for a lunch. While we were waiting for our table it started to rain. We had a lunch of soup, salad and bread sticks, it was very good. Cheri said we have to make one more at Joann’s Fabric. Once again Grandma & I waited in the van. After about 45 minutes we were on our way home in a heavy rain. It was about 3:00 pm when we got home. Cheri and I spent the rest of the day reading, watching TV and napping. It finally quit raining around 7:00 pm.
