Sharp's Travels

I was up again in the night with another coughing bout, sure am getting tired of all the coughing. Ed & Lorraine picked us up for church this morning. When we got home around 11:15 am from church we got a call from Larry & Denise. Larry said it’s kind of cold as we were to go for a motorcycle ride with them to Tarpon Springs this afternoon. It was only 51 degrees, windy and no sunshine. So we decided to take Grandma’s van. They are staying down at Lazy Days to have the hot water heater fixed in their motor home. We picked them up at 1:00 pm and headed over to Tarpon Springs. Their fiends have the boat moored and had to go back north for an emergency and wanted Larry & Denise to see if everything was still ok with their boat. The boat looked fine and it is called Sharpie Dream. It may be their dream but it sure wouldn’t be our dream. It is way too small to be sailing around in the ocean. Tarpon Springs is an old Greek city that is the sponge capital of the world. The Greeks came and settled here and made their living collecting sponges.
We walked the downtown area and stopped at lot of shops so the Cheri and Denise could have their shopping fix. We ate a small Greek restaurant which was very good. We took a different route back to Lazy Days to drop off Larry & Denise. It was after 6:00 pm before we got home. It makes a great day when you can spend it with friends.
