Cheri and I both had good a day, much better than yesterday. I had a
wall that needed to have some plaster put on as I made a change on where the
tile was starting. Finished with the shower incline as I had a few tiles to rearrange
and is now ready for grout after it dries, hopefully I can grout Thursday. I
got started doing some wall tiling on the walls outside the shower, got another
coat of paint on the toilet riser, and worked on putting together a large
cabinet that will be going into the bathroom. It was after 6:00 pm when I got
home. Cheri went to the church this morning to help pack the rest of the shoe
boxes for “Operation Christmas Child”. She
also stopped at the fabric shop for some additional material. This afternoon
she work on her quit project and got the things she did wrong yesterday straighten
out. She had a visit with next door neighbor Jean. We had left over chili for
supper and a normal evening of TV. Thank you God for a blessed day.

It was 49 degrees this morning the coldest morning this fall, think fall
has finally arrived in Florida. Cheri and I both had problems with our projects
we are working on. Mine was the incline into the shower. I had to remove much
of the work I had done Saturday. I had wanted to use the floor tile part way up
the incline but they wouldn’t match up. After much work and I managed to bring
the shower floor tile down the incline to meet the floor tile. It took most of
the day to get that done and has put me behind another day. I also got a coat
of paint on the toilet riser, the vanity front ready for tile. I didn’t get
home until 4:45 pm. Cheri made a trip to the bank and some shopping at Hobby
Lobby. Her problem was working on the quilt project. She put had put the wrong
side of the material on the pattern and now has to remove everything she did.
Cheri had chili going in the crockpot for supper along with some cookies she
made today. Around 6:00 pm we headed over to Lowe’s to pick up a few things I
needed for work. Then we went over to Mike and Pam’s to see how they were doing
with the move to the new house. They had a few questions on some closet
supports and some electrical recepicails that Pam would like to be moved and
some added. It was near 7:30 pm when we got home. Thank you God for working
with us through our problems today.

Cheri was up early this morning to get all the things ready to take to
Sunday school as she is one of three that is providing the lunch today. She
made chicken salad sandwiches, grape salad, and a cheese plate. Grandma went to
church with us today. We left earlier than usual as I had to get the food into
the refrigerator for Sunday school class. Plus I was helping hand out bulletins
for church and then helped with the offering. We also celebrated the Lords
Supper today. Pastor Randy’s message today was titled “How do I Behave in a Misbehaving
World”. Our Sunday school lesson today was titled “With Obedience” from the
book of James 1:19-27 and 2:1-4. We got home around 1:00 pm and settled into
our reclines watching TV along with napping. I did watch most of the NASCAR
race and then the Green Bay Packers football game. Thank you for time spent
with God and Christen friends.

Our day started around 7:30 am at the Donut Hole where we had our
breakfast sandwich and cinnamon rolls along with a double chocolate cake donut.
I was back to work on the bathroom project. I worked on the shower floor and got
all the tile laid but had a problem with where the shower floor meets the
bathroom floor. There is a mismatch in the different thickness of the tiles. I
was really upset with myself as I had done a nice job of rounding the shower
tile over the threshold, back to the drawing board to figure it out. Cheri made
a trip to Sam’s Club as she needed some things for tomorrows Sunday school lunch.
Its Cheri’s turn along with two other ladies to provide lunch tomorrow. She
also found a Christmas tree that she has been wanting. So it was a stressful day
for both of us but got through it with God’s help. This evening I settled in to
watch the Wisconsin Badger football game that they lost big time. Cheri settled
in with the book she is reading.

I was out the door at 6:00 am heading to Dade City for my accountability
group Bible study and breakfast. There were only Charlie and myself this
morning so I got one on one studying Romans last half of Chapter 12. I was only
back home for half an hour before leaving to do more flooring for Doug and
Judy. I worked late to finish up the kitchen today and didn’t get home until
7:30 pm. Cheri had a busy day with laundry and getting the meal ready to take
over to Mike and Pam’s. Cheri worked at Mike and Pam’s new house cleaning
kitchen cabinets and putting things away for Pam. It was after 8:00 pm before
we got done with supper. The TV evening was very short as we were both tired
and headed to bed early. Thank you God for helping us with friends.

No bathroom work today. I headed out at 7:45 am to Doug and Judy’s to
help Doug install a floating laminate floor over an existing tile floor. There
is more to do than I thought there was. It is going to be about a four day
project and I have only two days to work on it. It took a while to get started
as all the base board had to come off. Doug hadn’t planned on taking off the
base board but told him that it would look much better afterwards. After we got
some of it done he was happy that we removed the base board. It was around 4:30
pm when we quit for the day. We got the laundry room, pantry, and most of the dinette
area done. A lot of cutting which took much longer. It was near 5:30 pm when I
arrived home. Cheri was busy with laundry, grocery shopping, and fixing a meal
to take over to Pam and Mike’s tomorrow while cleaning and moving into their
new house. After supper we made a trip to Calver’s for a Concrete Mixer as
Cheri had a coupon buy one get one free. They are almost the same as the DQ
Blizzard. On the way back to the house we filled the car with gas. We watched a
little TV before calling it a night. Thank you God for being with us and
helping friends.

Once again it was back to work on the bathroom project. I gave the
bathroom floor a cleaning and found two of the tiles that are raised some and
not happy, it has to do with the sub floor. I think I will remove them and see
what I can do to correct the problem. I worked on the shower floor and got it
about 80 percent laid. The rest of it is going to take a lot of cutting and
fitting. I had Cheri over to help me figure out how I am going to finish the
shower walls with the tile pencils. Between the two of us I think we have a
plan that will work. I was done at 4:00 pm and then took time to load the truck
with the thing I will need tomorrow. I will be installing a floating floor for
Doug and Judy, friends that we helped move to a new house a few week ago. Cheri
is working on a new project in her sewing room called paper piecing, looks like
way more work than I would want to do. Cheri fixed us breakfast for supper,
made a bacon omelet with an English muffin. It was a normal evening of TV along
with a bag of popcorn for me. I think the fall weather has finally arrived in
Florida as it has been cooler that few morning and highs in the med 80’s. Thank
you God for a blessed day.

I was back to work on the bathroom project at 8:00 am. I was going to
grout the bathroom floor right away this morning but decided to cut and place
tile in the shower floor. I had trouble getting the tiles to fit together and decided
if I did the main part and left the tiles that needed to be cut that they would
fit together better. But when I put glued the first tile down it didn’t want to
stick to the concrete. So I gave the concrete a good washing and went to Lowe’s
to get a concrete sealer that should take care of the problem. After all of
that I settled in and did the grouting on the bathroom floor. Tomorrow it will
be ready for a good cleaning and it will be done. I also worked on sanding down
the toilet riser I have made to raise the toilet 4 ½ inches. It was 5:30 pm
when I finally got done for the day. After Cheri got her Tuesday house work
done she went over to Mike and Pam’s to help Pam pack up dishes for the move to
their new house this weekend. It was around 5:00 pm when she got home. We had
leftover soup and corn bread for supper. We both napped through the TV shows we
were trying to watch and decided to go to bed and watch a little more TV in
bed. Thank you God for being with us and guiding us through our projects today.

First thing this morning I went over to Grandma’s to fix her life alert.
Yesterday I change the battery as it had a light on the main unit showing low
battery. Well after putting in the new battery it still showed low battery.
After I got home I read the instructions that came with the unit. I found out
that it uses a special battery that is rechargeable. And there is a spare
battery in the main unit that is on charge and all that has to be done is to
exchange the batteries. I had thrown the old one away and needed to get over to
Grandma’s before the trash went out. I did find the battery and did the exchange
and now everything is ok. It was 9:00 am when I got to work. I worked on gluing
the bathroom floor tiles down. I also had time to cut a few tiles for the
shower floor. It was 4:00 pm when I got done for the day. My knees are hurting
as I have been down on them working Saturday and again today. Plus tomorrow I
will be grouting the floor tiles which means I will be down on them again.
Cheri took Grandma for a doctor’s appointment today and had a long wait to get
in to see the doctor. Cheri also got her Monday house work done along with
making potato soup and corn bread for supper. It was a normal evening of TV.

Grandma did go to church with us this morning. We had a guest speaker so
she didn’t have any message notes to follow. The last two Sunday’s I have
helped take up the offering and then seal the offering in an envelope and along
with Charlie we take it to the church safe. We had a good size Sunday school
class as more of the snowbirds have returned. Plus we had a couple of new
people in our class that we met today and live in the same park as we do. We spent
some time with Grandma after Sunday school as she had a few things that needed
to be done. So it was around 1:30 pm when we got home. We tried watching some TV
this afternoon but we both napped and missed most of what we were watching. Later
I did watch the NASCAR race. We had our usual Sunday night pizza along with
more TV. Thank you God for the time we spent with you today.

Cheri and I headed out to the Hole in One donut shop this morning to
have our usual Saturday morning breakfast sandwich, cinnamon rolls and coffee.
After breakfast we stopped at Larry and Denise’s to check their house and everything
looked ok. Then it was time for me to get to work on the bathroom project. I
spent the day cutting and laying tile in place. I did get all the tile for the
floor cut and ready to be glued down. I had thought that I would be done by
2:00 pm but that wasn’t the case, didn’t get done until 4:00 pm. Cheri was busy
shopping for Grandma as she had a list of different things she needed. This
evening we were invited over to Mike and Kathy’s to play aggravation which was fun
along with a good visit. It was near 10:00 pm when we got home. I watched the
rest of the Wisconsin Badger football game that I had recorded. Thank you God
for helping us through the day.

My day started at 6:10 am leaving for my accountability group breakfast
and Bible study. We studied the first half of Romans chapter 11. I left
breakfast a little earlier so I could be at work by 8:00 am as the painters
were coming this morning. They showed up at 9:00 am. It was hard for me to work
around them so I did some things where I wouldn’t be in their way. I had them
paint in the bathroom first so I could get back in for tile cutting. I also
made a platform for the toilet which will raise it 4 ½ inches. Just before noon
I made a stop at another place to reinstall gates that I had removed so the
driveway could be resurfaced. The painters didn’t get done until 6:00 pm and I
didn’t get home until 6:30 pm. After a quick shower Cheri had supper ready for
us. She fixed hot German potatoes salad with brats and chocolate chip cookies
that she made today. She was also busy with laundry and house work. We had a
normal TV evening. Thank you God for guiding us through another day.

My day didn’t go as planned. The painters were supposed to come this
morning but got a call that their truck broke down and couldn’t make it today.
Which made me have to change what I was going to do today. I got my new tile
saw set up and started cutting the floor tile, took me a little while to figure
out the best way to use the saw. After a couple of cuts things went much better
and is a lot better than the old saw. I did make a trip to Lowe’s as I had
gotten the wrong grout as I needed sanded grout for the floor and I had bought
un-sanded grout. I also needed ¼ inch spacers for the tile. Cheri was busy with
the laundry and grocery shopping today. This evening we went out for dinner
with Mike & Pam and Ron & Sandy. Good to get together and catch up on
what everyone is doing. Mike and Pam did get the house they wanted and will
close on it tomorrow, great news. Ron and Sandy are in the process of having
new floors put down in their house. It was 8:00 pm when we got home. It was a
short evening of TV before calling it night. Thank you God for guiding us
through another day and spending time with friends.

I had a good day at work although I didn’t get as much done as I thought
I would. I continued working on the floor cement board (backer board). It took
most of the day to glue it, screw it down, and fill the joints with compound.
It was 4:00 pm when I got home. Cheri had called to see if the floor tile we
order came in and it was in so we went and picked it up. On the way home we stopped
at Culver’s for supper. Then we went over to Harbor Freight so I could check
out a new tile saw. Cheri went next door to Ollie’s and bought a couple of
books. I did buy the new tile saw which will make it easier and faster than
using the old saw that I have. It was 6:30 pm when we got home. Cheri had a
dental appointment this morning and is getting a new crown. She also did her
Wednesday house work and then spent time in her sewing room. It was a normal
evening watching TV shows we had recorded. We watched God Friended Me and
really like this show, nice to see a new show without a lot of violence. Thank
you God for a blessed day.

I was slow about getting around this morning, still tired from
yesterday. First thing this morning I made a trip to Harbor Freight to pick up
some jigsaw blades and then a stop to fill the truck with gas. So it was around
9:30 am when I got started for work. Today was spent cutting the concrete
backer board for the floor and getting it laid in place, a big job as it was
hard cutting the concrete board. I had checked on line and the best way was to
use a jigsaw with a lot of wood blades as it was the best way without all the
dust. Cheri came over to help with cleaning the bedroom walls and baseboard
getting it ready to paint Thursday. I had made a lot of dust in the bedroom
when I had to open the wall between the bathroom and bedroom. I quit work at
3:30 pm as it was too late to start with the mastic that goes under the
concrete backer board. It was nice to be home a little early to have my shower
and settle in to watch the Green Bay Packer game that I recorded Monday night. I
had avoided checking the score to see if they won or not. So it was much more
exciting when I didn’t know how it was going to turn out. Cheri did her Tuesday
house work and then spent the afternoon in her sewing room and competed three
more quilt hangers. The rest of the evening was spent watching more new fall shows.

I was at work by 8:00 am. I did a cleaning as most of the construction
work is done and need to get everything out of the bathroom. After the cleaning
and rearranging my materials I worked on the slope entry to the shower and
think I have something that will work. Next I got the grid work done for the
concrete mix. I made a trip to Lowe’s for 10 bags of the concrete mix. It was
getting late in the afternoon but went ahead and mixed the mud and installed
it. It was near 6:30 pm when I got home. It was a long day and was really
tired, although I did feel better after my shower. Cheri was busy with her
Monday house work and in the sewing room. She has completed another quilt
hanger and I will post a picture tomorrow. She fixed us a supper of pork chops
with scalp ham and potatoes along with fresh biscuits. This evening I recorded
the Packer football game because I knew I would never be able to stay awake to
watch it. I called it a night early and Cheri stayed up and watched Dancing
with the Stars. Thank you God for a blessed day working with us on our
projects.

Grandma didn’t go to
church with us today as Pastor James’s delivered the message and there wouldn’t
be any message notes for her. So she went to different church with a friend of hers
from her park. I helped with the offering today and then went with Charlie to
deposit it in the church safe. Pastor James message was about the Good Samaritan.
Our lesson in Sunday school was from Galatians 6:1-10, 14-15. On the way home
we stopped at Publix’s for our flu shot. The reason we got them at Publix’s was
that they gave each of us a $10.00 gift card for the store. Nice of Publix’s to
do that. This afternoon I watched the rest of the Wisconsin Badger football
game, very disappointing as they lost big time. After the game it was time to
watch the NASCAR race along with other shows we had recorded. While I watched
the race Cheri read and napped. We had the usual Sunday evening pizza for
supper along with a chocolate bar later. Thank you God for our time spent with
you and Christian friends.

We headed out at 7:00 am
for breakfast at the Hole and One Donut shop were we met Mike and Pam. We had a
good visit discussing their new house and when they will be moving. I was still
able to be at work by 9:00 am. I continued with the plastering on the shower
backer board and finished with at around 4:30 pm, happy to have that part done.
Cheri spent most of her day in her sewing room. She is just about done with
some more quilt hangers that she displays on a frame in the kitchen. We had our
first real fall day as it was only 64 degrees this morning and no humidity
today. But tomorrow it is back to the heat and humidity. While we were watching
TV this evening I did some napping and had trouble staying awake. I also we
also watch some of the Wisconsin Badger football game. But then when we did go
to bed I had trouble getting to sleep. I was about ready to get up and head for
the recliner but finally fell asleep. Thank you God for guiding us through another
day.

It was another early
morning for me as I woke up early and decided to get up. I was out the door at
6:10 am heading to Dade City for breakfast and Bible study with my accountability
group. Our Bible study today was Roman’s chapter 10. It was after 8:00 am
before I got back home. Normally I would power wash our house but it has gotten
to be too hard on me to do it so we hired a company to do it and today was the
day to have it done. There were three guys working on it. Normally it took me
three days to do the job and they did it in three hours. They probably it a
better job than I would have. Cheri was busy doing the Friday laundry and then
went out and got groceries for Grandma. She also spent time in her sewing room.
I headed out at 9:00 am to work on the bathroom project. I got the rest of the
backer board installed along with two shelves inset into the shower wall. I
started plastering the joints in the backer board and hope to finish that
tomorrow. It was near 5:00 pm when I got home. After I showered I headed out to
get my haircut and to get a ticket for the lottery drawing tonight. I was late
get back for supper. Cheri fixed us spaghetti and meatball along with garlic
toast. By the time we got to our recliners it was after 7:00 pm. We watched a
couple of shows we had recorded and then called it a night. We also heard some
good news, Mike and Pam got the house they been dealing on. Thank you God for
blessing us with a wonderful day.

I was at work at 7:30 am
as I was up early this morning. My mine was on my work and couldn’t get back to
sleep. I had a good day and got most of the backer board installed in the
shower, the pieces that I didn’t get installed are cut out and ready. Cheri was
busy with laundry and also went for a haircut this afternoon. Then she was back
to working in her sewing room and has another quilt project about done. At 4:00
pm Cheri and I headed to Lakeland for bathroom tile along with other materials.
The first stop was at Ronnie’s Carpets for bathroom floor tile which had to be
order and is supposed to be here next Wednesday. Next was a stop at Floor Decor
& More for shower tile along with all the things needed to install the
tile. After all the shopping was done we stopped at Steak & Shake for
supper. It near 7:00 pm when we got home, too tired to unload the truck this
evening. I headed for the shower and then joined Cheri in the recliner to watch
some TV before calling it a night. Thank you God for helping us with our
projects today.

Cheri and I had dental
appointments this morning, mine at 8:00 am and Cheri’s at 9:00 am. So I didn’t
get started on the bathroom until 9:00 am. I worked on getting the shower floor
liner installed. Next was to work on installing the shower backer board, I did
get a couple pieces done and that will be my project for tomorrow. It was 4:30
pm when I got done for the day. Cheri did her Wednesday house work and then to
the sewing room for the rest of the day. Cheri fixed us fresh fried potatoes
with milk gravy along with ham for supper. It was another evening of TV and
napping for me. Thank you God for helping us through the day and all of your
blessings.

I was back to work on the
bathroom project. I finished the wet sanding on the drywall, glad to have that
done but may have to do some touchup work on it. I got the crown molding back
up and the caulking done around it. I finished the closet door frame and the
casing install on the closet side of the opening. I got the casing reinstalled
on the bedroom side of the door into the bathroom and also a piece of the
baseboard reinstalled. I also got the shower liner laid out and splice and is
now ready to be installed. Last I made a trip to Lowe’s for door trim and
baseboard. I am trying to get things set up to have the painters come. It was
near 5:00 pm when I got home. This morning Cheri got her Tuesday house work
done and made a trip to the bank, just as she got home Jean came over for a
visit. She left at noon just as I was coming home for lunch. This afternoon Cheri
worked in her sewing room. The evening was spent watching TV along with popcorn
for me and a cookie for Cheri which I also had one after the popcorn. Thank you
God for a blessed day.

I was back to work on the
bathroom project at 8:00 am. I worked on wet sanding the plaster and did a
finish coat on a couple of places. Still have some more wet sanding to do and a
little touch up and the plaster will be done. I also mixed the cement and sand
for the shower floor pre slope and got that done. It has to dry for 24 hours
before I can install the shower floor liner. I worked on the vanity and got the
top refasten and the front top ready for tile. I also got the door frame to the
closet cut and ready to install and got the clothes racks installed in the
closet. The last thing I did was make a trip to Lowe’s for some additional
supplies. Cheri went when me to look at a cabinet that she wants to put in the
spare bedroom that will hold all of containers she has. Cheri did make a trip
to the bank and found it was closed, forgot that it was a federal holiday. The
rest of her day was spent in the sewing room. I was done work by 4:30 pm. After
I got done showering Cheri had supper ready for us. The evening was watching TV
and napping for me. Thank you God for helping us through another day.

Grandma went to church
with us today. Church and Sunday school were both good. We always enjoy our
time with good Christian friends and time with God. We were back home by 1:00
pm. I had gotten a text this morning from Home Depot that the door I ordered
was in (so I thought). So after we changed our clothes we headed to Home Depot
for the door. Will when I asked for the door they checked and said that it
wouldn’t be in until 10/31. Yep when I read the text more closely that is what
it said. When I saw the text this morning and that it was from Home Depot I
just quit reading and assumed that it was telling me it was ready for pick up.
While we were there I bought the replacement medicine cabinet for the one that
was damaged. I also got the shower liner. When we got home I settled in to
watch the rest of the Wisconsin Badger football game, good game as they won. I
also watched the NASCAR race and was happy to see Chase Elliott win. Cheri was
reading and napping while I was watching the race. Cheri fixed us our usual
Sunday night pizza for supper while watching the race. After the race Cheri
called her sister Sandy and had a long visit. I went to the computer to do some
work. We had a couple of hard rain showers this evening but only lasted a few
minutes. Thank you God for time spent with you and friends.

Cheri and I were at the
Hole in One Donut shop around 7:30 am. We had our usual Saturday morning
breakfast. Then we were off to Valrico to help Doug and Judy unload the two
trucks that we loaded up last Wednesday. They are having new carpet installed
which was supposed to be within a couple of days but now has been push out for
about three weeks. So we set everything we could on the hardwood floors. It was
2:00 pm when we got back home. So I headed over to do some more plaster work on
the bathroom project. I was back home by 4:00 pm. Cheri had informed me this
morning that she wasn’t cooking today. So after I got cleaned up we went to
Calver’s for supper. The evening was spent watching TV and more napping than
watching for me. I did try to watch the Wisconsin Badger football game that
came on later this evening but gave up and we went to bed. We did watch a
little more TV in bed. Thank you God for being with us today.

I was out the door this
morning at 6:10 am to meet with my accountability group in Dade City for
breakfast and Bible study. Our Bible study was in Roman’s chapter 9. After breakfast
I headed over to the church to help move the supplies back into our Sunday
school house. The house was tented for termites this week and now is done. Some
of the Sunday school ladies are going to be cleaning and putting things away. I
was still able to be back at work on the bathroom project by 9:00 am. I continued
with the plastering and I think one more day and it will be done. I also got
the pre pitch shower floor grid installed. It is now ready for the concrete
mix. I also got a call from a lady here in the park that had a kitchen cabinet
drawer that wouldn’t close properly. I check it out and had to install new
mounting for the drawer rails. After all of this I was still home by 4:00 pm.
Cheri took Grandma for her B-12 shot and flu shot this morning. This afternoon
Cheri cut her finger while working in her sewing room, has all of one finger
bandaged up. She was still able to fix us a ribeye steak dinner with baked potatoes.
The evening was spent watching new fall shows that we has recorded. Thank you
God for a blessed day.

I started work a little
before 8:00 am on the bathroom project. I spent most of the day plastering,
hope to have that all done in the next couple of days. Cheri was up early to
get the laundry started and then went to church to help the other Sunday school
ladies pack shoe boxes with different items to be shipped overseas to young
children. The project is called “Operation Christmas Child”. We both got back
home at the same time. So Cheri went with me to Lakeland to pick up backer
board and shower pre pitch strips for the shower base. It was around 4:30 pm
when I got home. I thought I was going out to Ron and Sandy’s to cut a piece of
granite counter top behind the kitchen drop in stove. I called Ron to see about
doing the cutting this evening but they decided to get another drop in range.
Cheri fixed us pancakes for supper which is something we haven’t had in a
while. We settled in for an evening of TV watching the three new shows of
Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, and Chicago PD which was a show with all three
linked together. Thank you God for guiding us today.

Cheri and I were at the
Hole and One donut shop a little after 7:00 am. We had our usual breakfast
sandwich, in fact the lady that waited on us ask us if we want the same
breakfast sandwich. The reason we went this morning was so we could pick up a
dozen and half of donuts to take with us to Dong and Judy’s this morning as we
are helping load two 26 foot U-Haul trucks. They have sold their house and
moving about 30 miles south to Valrico. We started loading the trucks at 9:00
am and didn’t get done until 4:30 pm. Cheri help clean the house as we cleared
out each room. After we got done Cheri and I headed to Home Depot so I could
order a door for the bathroom project. It was already near 6:00 pm so we
stopped at Jersey Mike’s for subs which we took home to eat. We watched some TV
while eating our Subs. After showering and getting cleaned up we got a video
call from Darren and got to see Wyatt, so much fun to see him running around
and all the different things he is doing now. We watched a little more TV and
called it a night as Cheri and I were really tired from work today. Thank you
God for being with us today.

I woke up at 2:00 am and
couldn’t go back to sleep as I had a lot on my mind. So I got up at 3:15 am.
When I got up that woke up Cheri and she couldn’t get back to sleep so she was
up around 4:30 am. I started back on the bathroom a little before 5:30 am. I
got the rest of the first coat of plaster on and a second coat on parts that I did
yesterday. Also had some that wasn’t dry. I came home around 9:30 am to check
out a video on how the shower floor drain had to be installed. Then back to
work on it and got it installed. I laid out the grid pieces for the drain
slope. I need some additional parts for that and will have to go to Lakeland
for them. I also went to Lowe’s for another pail of plaster and the sand mix
for the pre slope shower base. I was done and home by 2:30 pm. I showered and
got ready for Men’s Night Out at church. I headed to the recliner for a nap.
Cheri was already relaxing and reading along with napping. I did take a short nap
which made me feel better. At 5:15 pm I met Dick at Golden Corral to pick up
the food for Men’s Night Out. Instead of making something it was decided to
have the food prepared by Golden Corral which was nice as there wasn’t much
clean up afterwards. I was back home by 9:30 pm and Cheri was watching Dancing
with the Stars. I watched the rest of it with her before calling it a night. Thank
you God for a good day.

Another month gone and
September has gone down in the record books as the hottest September ever.
Looking forward and this week is supposed to be in the low 90’s. Never thought
I would say it but I am looking for some cooler weather. I continued working on
the bathroom project. I got the first coat of plaster on. I was done by 1:00 pm
and then watched some videos on how to install the shower base. I also made a
trip to Home Depot to return one of the medicine cabinets. When I took it out
of the box today I found a door that has some blemishes on it. Well they didn’t
have any more in stock so I will have to wait for a week which is ok as I don’t
need it right away. I also went back and worked on the ceiling where I have to
make a repair and spray with some popcorn mixture. It was 5:00 pm when I got
home. After my shower Cheri fixed me the leftover beef tips and noodles I had from
when we went out to eat with Mike and Pam. Cheri fixed herself some leftover swift
steak and mashed potatoes. We watched a new fall show called “God Friended Me”.
I think there could be a good story line here. Thank you God for helping us
through another day.

Pastor Randy always
e-mails me his message notes for Grandma when she attends church, that way she
can follow along and know what the message is about. After Sunday school we had
to remove all the dishes and food items out of the house as it is going to be
tented to get rid of the termite infestation that is in the house along with a
good spraying for other bugs. It was after 1:00 pm when we got home. Just in
time to get our clothes changed and head to the theater to see the 1:45 pm movie
Unbroken: Path to Redemption. It was an excellent movie and was the continuation
of Louis Zamperini life after he got out of the army and how he turned his life
over to God. When we got home I settled in to watch the NASCR race and Cheri
reading her novel. Later we had pizza for our evening meal along with more TV.
We watched the new show “Manifest” which could have a pretty good story line,
time will tell. Thank you God for a good a day with you and church friends.
