Cheri and I headed out at
7:15 am for breakfast at the Hole in One donut shop, something we do every
Saturday when we are home. On the way home we stopped and filled the car with
gas as it seems like a weekly thing that has to be done. I left at 8:15 am to
work in the Sunday school Kitchen. I spent the rest of the morning installing
nobs on all the cabinets and drawers (38 of them). I was home by 1:00 pm and no
energy to do any more work. So I headed to the shower to get cleaned up and them
to the recliner to rest. Cheri was busy in her sewing room until I was ready to
relax and then joined me. We watched a couple of movies we had recorded. At
4:45 pm we headed to the church for the meet and greet for the new music pastor
and his wife. What a blessing they will be to our church. On the way home we
stopped at Jersey Mike’s for a sub to take home for a late supper. Thank you
God for bringing the new music pastor to our church.

I had gotten a call from the
doctor and wanted me to go in for a blood draw. So this morning I went over
around 7:30 am and was told that the lab wasn’t going to be open until 10:00 am
as everyone was in training class. So I went back at 10:30 am and was told I
didn’t have an appointment. But with a little explaining they got me in. After
lunch I had an appointment to check out a bathroom water leak. I was told that
the water was shut off at the street. So I headed out to turn on the water and
the city had turned it off and locked it. So I can’t do anything until they get
the city back to unlock it. The rest of the afternoon was spent on the computer
and making a couple of work calls to tell them I have delayed with some health
issues. Cheri was busy with the laundry this morning. She was able to spend
some time in her sewing room. Later in the day our neighbor jean came over for
a visit. Cheri made us stuffed pork chops for supper, very good. The evening
was spent watching some movies we had recorded. We were both tired and headed
to bed early this evening. Around 9:30 pm we had a hard rain come through, it
didn’t last real long but did get a little over ½ inch. Thank you God for a
blessed day.

I slept in until 6:00 am
this morning. Being I wasn’t supposed to do any work today I decided not to get
up at my regular time. Cheri was busy today with laundry, an appointment for
Grandma, and getting groceries. All I did today was rest in my recliner napping
and watching TV. I didn’t even go outside today. I did spend a little time on
the computer but that was it for the day. Thank you God for restful day.

We left the house at 7:15
am heading to the VA in Tampa for my lung biopsy. I had to be at the lab for
blood work at 8:30 am and then to clinic for my 9:00 am appointment. There was
a long wait as there had been complications with the person that went before me
so they didn’t get started on me until 11:30 am. They did call Cheri to let her
know that I was late getting started and had a long wait. While I was in
recovery they took an x-ray and found that my lung was starting to collapse. So
after waiting another hour and took another x-ray and found that it hadn’t
improved. So they took me back to the operating room to have a tube put into my
lung. After doing a c-scan they decided not to install the tube but kept me in
the hospital for the night to keep an eye on me. Cheri stayed with me and tried
to sleep in the recliner that they brought into my room. Needless to say she
didn’t get any sleep. They took another x-ray at 4:30 am and the results where
good and I was going to go home. When they bought in my breakfast the guy
looked at Cheri and asked her if she stayed the night and she said yes and he
went and got a breakfast tray for her. We didn’t get home until 11:00 am. I
still have some pain and can’t do any work this week. I spent the afternoon on
the computer along with a phone call with Darren. We met Mike and Pam at 5:00
pm at Calver’s for supper and a good visit as it has been a while since we have
been together. We did go to bed early as Cheri was really tired from not being
able to sleep in the hospital and I was also very tired. Thank you God for
helping and guiding us the last two days. The temp for the day was 98 and the
heat index was at 106.

52 years ago Cheri and I
got married in Maine and then made a trip to Niagara Falls and then to Wisconsin
to spend time with my Mom and Dad. We have made a lot of great memories over
the last 52 years. This morning I left at 6:30 am for an eye appointment follow
up and got a really good report. I was back home by 9:30 am. I changed into my
work clothes and headed to Tampa Bay country to install a new garbage disposal.
After the install I sat down with them and had a nice visit. I check on
repairing a shower head at another place but no one was home. I had planned on
going to the Sunday school kitchen project to install the cabinet nobs but just
didn’t feel like doing any more work today. So I was home by 1:30 pm. I got
cleaned up and then we had a video call with Darren and got to see Wyatt and wish
him a happy birthday as it is today. This evening we headed to Lakeland to have
dinner at Harry’s Seafood Bar & Grill. It is our favorite place to eat and
had a really good tenderloin scampi stile meal and key lime pie. On the way
home we stopped at Floor & Décor to look at back splash tile for the Sunday
school kitchen and found some that will work. When we got home we settled in
for an evening of TV. Thank you God for all of your blessing and getting us
through another day.

We bought a birthday cake
to take to Sunday school to help celebrate Grandma’s birthday. Church and
Sunday school were both good. It was after 1:00 pm when we got home did a lot
of visiting after Sunday school. I was going to see about flying my new drone
this afternoon but it was too hot to be out as the heat index was around 103
degrees. So Cheri and I settled in to watch a movie before the NASCAR race
started. But we both fell asleep and had to rewind the movie for a later
watching. For some reason we were both exhausted this afternoon. After watching
some of the race we went back to watching the movie we tried to watch earlier.
After the movie Cheri fixed us pizza for supper. Then I watched the rest of the
race while Cheri read her novel. After the race we both watched another movie. We
have been recording movies from the Hallmark mystery channel. Thank you God for
time spent with friends in church and Sunday school.

First I want to wish my
mother (Grandma) a happy 98th birthday. It being Saturday which means
we went out for breakfast at the Hole in One donut shop. After breakfast we
headed over to check out Larry and Denise’s house. Everything was ok except the
rope was down across the driveway. It had deteriorated and came apart. I will
see about something getting a new rope. When we got home I loaded some tools
into the truck as I got a call from a client in Tampa Bay country that their garbage
disposal quit working. So at 9:30 am I headed out to see what I could do with
it. This is the first garbage disposal that I have worked on that didn’t have a
port on the bottom to get them unstuck. The bad news is that I will have to get
a new one and install it for them. From there I stopped to check out another
project of installing a tile floor in a bedroom which I plan on doing in a
couple of weeks. After this I headed to the Sunday school project and did some
painting and cleaned up all the garbage and took it to the dumpster. I loaded
the truck with the rest of the tools I had left there and headed for home. I
was home by 2:30 pm which seemed really nice. After getting cleaned up I joined
Cheri and we settled in to watch some movies we had recorded. We picked up
Grandma at 5:30 pm and took her out for dinner at the Sunrise Eatery to celebrate
her birthday. After we dropped her off we made a trip to Lowe’s so I could buy
the new garbage disposal which I plan on installing Monday. Cheri spent part of
her day in her sewing room and also reading her novel. Thank you God for all
you do for us.

Cheri had laundry going
early this morning as she was going out early to Wal-Mart to pick up medicine
and groceries for Grandma. After that she stopped by Jersey Mikes to pick up a
sub and brought it up to the Sunday school kitchen project for our lunch. I had
left at 8:30 am to get back to the kitchen project. I got the additional trim
installed before Cheri got there. I needed to raise the existing cabinets to
match the new ones and needed Cheri to help me with that. After we got them
down Cheri cleaned them up. After lunch we did the reinstall and got done
around 2:30 pm. Cheri headed for home and I headed over to Tampa Bay country to
deliver the dolly I made for the generator install. I checked out the breaker
panel and found there was a breaker that wasn’t being use and will work for the
generator installation. They are going to be gone for 15 days on a trip so I
will do the install when they return. It was around 4:30 pm when I got home. Cheri
had barbeque spare ribs going in the crockpot for supper. They smelt really
good when I came in the house. After my shower and getting cleaned up Cheri had
supper on the table. The spare ribs were really good. The evening was spent
watching a couple of movies we had recorded. Thank you God for guiding us
through another day. No rain today.

The news today is it was a
day without rain. Cheri was busy with Thursday house work, laundry, and
ironing. Jean the next door neighbor came over for a visit which is normally on
Tuesdays but we were gone for my eye surgery. I left around 8:30 am and headed
to the kitchen project. I did some touchup painting, install floor trim,
install cabinet trim, and caulking. By 2:15 pm I had done all I could as I
needed to get some more trim from Lowe’s. I called a client over in Tampa Bay
country to see about checking the generator install but didn’t get an answer.
So I head to Lowe’s and then home by 3:00 pm. Was nice to get done early for a
change. Cheri and I went for dinner at a new place called the Seafood Market.
We thought it was going to be a restaurant but was a fast food place. We weren’t
impressed with it and won’t be going back again. The evening was spent watching
NCIS new summer series on real murders. We also watched the Property Brother’s
Forever Home and tried to watch a movie but I couldn’t stay awake for it. Thank
you God for a blessed day.

Cheri and I left the house
at 6:30 am headed to the Tampa VA for my follow up eye appointment. I got a
good report and will have to return for one more follow up on the 24th. My appointment time was 7:45 am but got in at
7:30 am. So we were done and on our way to Bob Evan’s for breakfast at 7:00 am.
We had a couple of other stops to make in Wesley chapel to pay a Direct TV bill
of 77 cents. Then a stop at the UPS store to send a Package to Darren. It was
around 10:00 am when we arrived home. Cheri did her Wednesday house work and I
did some computer work on getting my new drone registered and getting the
latest software update installed. I also watched some U-tube videos to help me
understand the different settings that can and should be done. After a couple
of hours my brain was fried for the day. I made a trip to Lowe’s to pick up
some materials to build a dolly for a generator that I will be installing next
week. It was 4:00 pm. when I got done and ready for my shower. After my shower
I settled in with Cheri to watch some TV before Cheri fixed us supper. The rest
of the evening was watching movies we had recorded. We had rain showers about
three or four times today. I checked the gauge and received another ½ inch.
Thank you God for the good eye report and getting all our errands done.

Cheri and I left the house
at 5:20 am heading to Tampa VA for my appointment to have the cataract removed
from my right eye. My appointment was for 6:30 am and didn’t get called back
until 7:30 am. Things went well and was on our way home at 11:30 am. We made a
stop at Wal-Mart as my computer mouse quit working this morning and needed to
pick up a new one. We also got groceries while we were there. When we got home
we were messing some of the items we bought. I forgot to put them in the cart
after checkout. Cheri called and they had them set aside for us so after lunch
Cheri headed back to pick them up. The afternoon was spent watching TV and
napping. Cheri fixed us breakfast for supper with eggs, bacon, hash browns,
toast, and juice. We got a call from Darren checking in to see how I made out
with the surgery. We had rain again this afternoon and received another inch.

I headed out a little
after 8:00 am for a stop at Lowe’s for a 24 in upper kitchen cabinet for the
Sunday school kitchen. I put this one in next to the stove upper cabinet and
looks much better after the install. I got the microwave electric hooked up and
the electrical outlet repaired. I got the base boards installed under the
cabinets. After lunch I headed back to Lowe’s for two more cabinets to fill the
space where I was supposed to build open shelving. I decided with my time and
the cost of materials I could buy the cabinets cheaper and install them. After
installing them I put in the finishing trim board at the end of the pantry
cabinet. By the time I got done it was already 5:00 pm. when I got home I
jumped in the shower and then Cheri and I went to Golden Corral for dinner. I
had a coupon for my birthday that needed to be used. Cheri and I didn’t think
our meal was very good. So it was after 7:00 pm when we got home to settle in
for an evening of TV. Yes we did get more rain today but only lasted for half
hour. Thank you God for a bless day. I am late getting this posted as I ran out
of time before I had to leave for a very early appointment.

It was a normal Sunday for
us. Grandma went to church with us. Pastor Randy’s message was “Misbehaving
Members” from James 4:1-5. Our Sunday school lesson was “Setting the Example”
from 1Timothy 3:1-13. Godly leaders are needed to lead healthy churches. We got
home around 1:00 pm. being it was Father’s Day there wasn’t any NASCAR race to
watch. I got an e-mail from Kari and also one from Darren washing me a happy Father’s
Day. Late this afternoon I got a call from Nikki wishing me a happy Father’s
Day. I got a new drone for my birthday and spent some time this afternoon
figuring out how to operate it. Later Cheri and I settled in to watch a few
movies we had recorded. Once again I had trouble staying awake to watch. We had
our normal Sunday evening pizza. We had a hard rain come through around 3:30 pm
and received 1 ¾ inches. Thank you God for a blessed day spending time with
church friends.

Cheri and I did our usual
Saturday morning breakfast at the Hole in One donut shop. We were there at 7:00
am. At 8:00 am I left and stopped at Lowe’s to pick up a couple of kitchen
cabinets I need for today. Well after being there for almost two hours and
talking with several people and two manager’s one of the cabinets they assured us
be ready for pick up at 8:00 am. This is the third time we have been promised
that they would be ready for us. Well they failed again. I called Cookie and
she said that she would go and pick one up at another Lowe’s which was going to
be a 60 mile round trip. So while waiting for Cookie to deliver the cabinet I did
started and did what I could while waiting for her to come. We are under a time
crunch because it has to be done because we need the kitchen for Sunday school brunch.
Long story short I got things done enough for Sunday school. It was 5:30 pm
when I left the church with a truck load of my tools. I had taken the truck bed
cover off so I could haul the cabinets. Well on the way home I run into a
really hard down pour of rain. When I got home I back the truck under the neighbor’s
carport. But all the tools were really wet. Just to let you know how hard it
rained we received 4 inches in an hour and a half. After the rain was over I
moved the truck back to our place and remove all the tools and laid them out so
they could dry. With everything going on it was after 7:00 pm before we had
supper. So it was a short evening of TV which I napped through. Thank you God
for guiding us through another day.

I left the house at 7:45
am for another busy day at the kitchen project. Frank came and helped with the
rewiring but ran into a problem with the breaker panel as the new breaker
wouldn’t fit. I had to make a modification to the panel. I put the finishing
coat of plaster on the wall and Cookie came this afternoon and did the painting
for me and also did some cleaning. I worked on the wall and got it prepared for
the new cabinet over the stove and then got the microwave installed. I got part
of the wiring for it done for the microwave, still have to hook it up in the
breaker box. Also found an electrical outlet that has an open ground which I need
to repair. It was near 5:00 pm when I got home. Cheri was busy with her Friday
house work and then made a batch of chocolate chip cookies for me. She also
fixed us beef burritos for supper. We got more rain today but nothing that bad,
received another ¼ inch. Thank you God for a blessed day.

Hey we missed Friday the
13th by one day. It was a busy day at the Sunday school kitchen
remodel project. The cabinets that was supposed to come yesterday never showed
up and didn’t even get a call that they weren’t coming. I got a text form
Cookie this morning letting me know that they are going to be delivered between
8:00 am and noon. So I hurried around to be at church by 8:00 am. Around 9:00
am I got a call from Cookie that there wasn’t going to be any cabinets today as
she was told that they were damaged while loading them in the truck. Now they
are saying they will be ready Saturday and I plan on picking them up at the
store. I need to have them all installed before Sunday. I also found another
wiring problem as one of the ground fault recepicails was wired wrong and now
have to run some new wiring for it. So long story short I didn’t get much done
today. I did get the trim installed around the wall opening and another coat of
plaster on the wall. Cheri was busy with laundry and then stopped at Jersey
Mikes for a sub and brought it up to church so we could have lunch together.
After lunch she spent the afternoon cleaning the Sunday school rooms which was
really dirty from the plaster cutting I did a few days ago. I was done by 3:00
pm and needed to stop at Lowe’s for materials but was raining really hard so
went on home. After rain was over I did go and get the materials I need for
tomorrow. The evening was spent watching a couple of shows we had recorded and
I actually stayed awake. We got another half inch of rain today. Thank you God
for all you do for us guiding through the day.

I left at 8:30 am to head
back to work in the Sunday school kitchen. I put another coat of plaster on the
wall where I closed up the opening. A couple more coats and that will be ready
for paint. The rest of the day was spent installing cabinets, installing the
sink in a temporary top of plywood, and hooking up the plumbing. In between all
of this I had to make a trip to Lowe’s to get the plumbing materials I needed.
It was a long day but things went well. It was after 6:00 pm when I quit for
the day. I was waiting for a delivery for the rest of the cabinets which was
supposed to be between 2:30 pm and 6:30 pm. Jerry had Bible study this evening
so he came to relieve me as we were still waiting at 6:15 pm. Cheri did her Wednesday
house work along with a few other things she needed to get done. It was a
normal evening of TV, Cheri watching and me napping. We got another ¼ inch of
rain. With the rain and hot weather things are starting to green up again. Thank
you God for a blessed day.

I started with a new breakfast
and accountability group this morning at 7:30 am here in Zephyrhills. The one I
was going to in Dade City has been consolidated with the one here in
Zephyrhills. There were six of us today. After our accountability group I
headed to Dade City to work in the kitchen of our Sunday school. I am in the
process of closing up and opening between the kitchen and the class room. I had
to come home and get my saw and then to Lowe’s to get some building materials
and sheetrock. I had to hurry to beat the rain so the sheetrock didn’t get wet.
They delivered some of the kitchen cabinets today and the rest are to come tomorrow.
So the rest of the week will be spent installing kitchen cabinets. It was 5:30
pm when I got home. While I was in the shower Cheri started supper which was a
repeat of last night. Cheri was busy with her Tuesday house work, a visit from
Jean, and working in her sewing room. We got a call from Darren giving us an
update on what they have been doing. We got to do face time with Wyatt and is
doing a lot more talking but have a time understanding what he is saying. It
was fun watching him show us all his toys. We received a little over ½ inch of
rain today. We watched a couple of episodes of the Good Witch that comes on the
Hallmark channel. Thank you God for all the blessings you give us.

I had an eye appointment
at the VA in Tampa at 11:00 am. I had left the house at 9:45 am because you
never know what the traffic is going to be like. I was checked in by 10:40 am hoping
that I would get in early. Well at 11:45 am I was still waiting. So I went up
to check and was told I was next and got in at 12:15 pm. When I said something
to the nurse she said that I hadn’t been checked in. So the guy I checked in
with when I arrived never did it. From the eye clinic I had to go to the pharmacy
to pick up the eye drops I need before my eye surgery on the 18th.
It was after 2:00 pm when I finally got home. I had a sandwich and then went
next door to work on removing baseboard and vinyl flooring that the carpeting
had been place over. I quit at 4:00 pm and headed to the shower. Cheri did her
Monday house work and then spent time in her sewing room. Said that things didn’t
go well for her. Cheri made a new recipe of chicken gravy to have over biscuits
and was very good. We settled in for the evening watching a movie before I watched
the NASCAR race. Yes we did get more rain today but only ¼ inch here but rained
really hard while I was in Tampa. Thank you God for guiding us through another
day.

As far as weather goes
today was much like yesterday with rain off and on during the day and a hard
rain this evening. Grandma went to church with us today. Pastor Randy’s message
was titled “Why We Need Wisdom” from James 3:17-18, Proverbs 2:6-8. Our Sunday
school lesson was titled “On Mission” from 1 Timothy 2:1-15. After Sunday
school we had our Sunday school Linger Longer which is a potluck dinner with
time to get to know the people better from our class. It was a good time and to
know more people on a personal level. It was 2:00 pm when we arrived home.
Cheri and I settle in to relax the rest of the day. I planned on watching the
NASCAR race but it was rained out and will be run tomorrow at 5:00 pm. We ended
up watching a few movies we had recorded. We had our usual Sunday evening meal
of Pizza. Thank you God for a day spent with Christian friends. I checked the
rain gauge and we received a little over two inches.

Our day started with
breakfast at the Hole in One donut shop. It was a cloudy and rainy day. The
rain did quit for a while this afternoon but was back again this evening which
was good because it is really dry here and even had some forest fires. Cheri continued
to work on all the paper work that needed to be gone through and update for our
personal files. It was a big job and still has more to do. I had a call from a
guy over in Tampa Bay country that wants me to install a generator hook up for
their house. So I met him at Harbor Freight and showed him what he needed for a
generator. From there I went to Lowe’s to get some of the materials I will need
to do the install. When I got home I went next door to move furniture out of
the way so I could continue removing the old carpet and tack strips. I did get
all the carpet removed. It was 3:00 pm when I got done. I also did some
computer work before calling it a day. It was a normal evening of TV. We watched
a movie and when it was half over we figured out that we had seen it before.
The one thing about getting older as our memory leaves us we can watch shows
and movies over and think they are new. I checked the rain gauge and received one
inch for the day. Thank you God for a blessed day.

I no longer have an accountability
group breakfast and Bible study on Friday mornings, it has been combined with
one on Tuesday mornings at 7:30 am. I didn’t have any appointment time for work
today so Cheri and I went out for breakfast at the Breakfast Station. It was a
little pass 9:00 am when we got home. Cheri did her Friday laundry and then
spent the rest of the day working filing manuals and paper work. Our file
cabinet was full and need to be gone through and reorganized and added another file
cabinet. I went to work for a couple here in the park. I had to do some
plumbing on a new vanity that they put in and the guy couldn’t get the plumbing
hooked up. I also installed a new bathroom exhaust fan. He had taken out the
old one and couldn’t figure out how to get the new one installed. Both projects
were a challenge for me would but finished the project a little pass 6:00 pm. It
was good to get home for a shower and get cleaned up. Cheri fixed us leftover spaghetti
for supper along with Texas toast. It was after 7:30 pm before we settled in
for an evening of TV. Thank you God for guiding us through another day.

I was up my usual 5:00 am
but slow getting around as I had a haircut appointment at 9:45 am and not able
to get anything done before the appointment. Cheri was busy this morning with
laundry and her usual Thursday house work. When I got home I went to work on
cleaning out the rain gutters as I noticed that they weren't draining very well.
They were full of leave around the down spouts. We are supposed to be getting
rain most of next week so it is good to have them cleaned. This afternoon Cheri
went grocery shopping for Grandma and I started the floor project for our next
door neighbor. I worked on removing the old carpet. It is going to take another
day to get all the old carpet out and furniture moved. This is a summer project
as they are up north for the summer. We got a call today that our friend Ron
Sharp went to the hospital with chest pain and breathing problems. So this
evening we went to see him. He is going through all kinds of test and still
haven’t found anything and waiting for some test results. It was around 7:30 pm
when we got home.

I met Cookie this morning
at 8:30 am at Lowe’s to pick out the kitchen cabinets for the Sunday school
kitchen. They are on order and should be here in a week. Cookie paid a little
extra to have them delivered which made me happy. After that was done I came
home and loaded the truck with tools and went to Tampa Bay country to change an
air filter for Bob Conover and then to another place to check out an electrical
outlet that wasn’t working. Tuned out that the top half of the outlet was controlled
by a light switch and the bottom was hot all the time. Something that she never
knew. I also need to get some parts for her shower. I was home for a late lunch
with Cheri. She had taken Grandma for her doctor’s appointment and now has a
list of things she needs from Wal-Mart. After lunch I made a trip to Lowe’s to
get some materials and then to Harbor Fright for some staples and tarps. When I
got home I decided it was too late in the day to start another project. It felt
good to relax for a while before we headed out to pick up Art and Ruby and take
them to Wesley Chapel for dinner at Chuy’s Mexican Restaurant. We have never
been there before and have heard good things about it. We had a very good meal
and will defiantly go again. On the way back to Art and Ruby’s we drove through
a hard rain and was hard to see to drive. When we got to Art and Ruby’s we had
apple pie and ice cream. We had a good visit with them before heading back
home. I checked the rain gauge and only received a half of inch of rain for the
last two days. So I guess most of the rain missed us. We settled in for an
evening of TV as Cheri had recorded a movie that was pretty good. Thank you God
for getting us through the day and time spent with friends.

I am happy to report that
I got the bathroom shower project done. It did take a lot longer to finish than
I thought it would. I forgot to take a finished picture to post. If I get time
I will stop tomorrow for the picture. I checked out the couple with the air conditioner
problem. They need to have a new electrical circuit installed from the breaker
panel. I gave them a price on how much it would cost and wasn’t happy with the
price. My next stop was to repair a toilet which needed a new water control
valve. Being that it is a Kohler it cost more for the repair parts. I was able
to get them at Lowe’s. It was 4:00 pm before I was done for the day. Cheri was
busy with housework and a visit from Jean out next door neighbor. This
afternoon she make chicken and dumplings to have for supper. I am always happy
when she makes them. We watched a couple more Hallmark movies this evening and
are now all caught up on the shows we have recorded. Thank you God for a
blessed day.

I actually slept in until
5:30 am this morning as I didn’t have any work today. Cheri and I left at 11:15
am and headed to Tampa because I had a follow up appointment on the results of
my C-scan on Saturday. Good news the spot on my lung hasn’t changed. The not so
good news is there is a new spot in my left lung. I will have to go in for a
biopsy. Just have to wait for the appointment. We missed lunch today and
stopped on the way home at Olive Garden. We both had salad and shrimp scampi along
with hot bread sticks. We were disappointed with the shrimp scampi as it didn’t
have any flavor. It was 4:00 pm when we got home. I did get a call from a
person here in our park that is having an electrical problem tripping a breaker
on a portable air conditioner. Well when I went to check it out nobody was
home. So I will have to check it out tomorrow. We both napped some while
watching TV and had to rewind one show as we missed a lot while napping. Thank
you God for safe travels and for the VA taking care of me.

Grandma didn’t go to
church with us today because there weren’t going to be any notes for her. So
she went to church with friends in her park. Pastor James delivered the message
today as Pastor Randy and a group from our church are in Israel this week.
After Sunday school we stayed and did some measuring for new cabinets in the
Sunday school kitchen which I will be installing. When we got home we changed
clothes and took the extra box of flooring from the Sunday school kitchen back
to Lumber liquidators. Then a trip back to Dade City to see a client that is in
rehab at Royal Oaks. It was after 4:00 pm when we arrived home. Cheri settled
in to watch a couple of Hallmark movies and I went to the bedroom to watch the
NASCR race. After the race was over I joined Cheri to watch another Hallmark
movie. Thank you God for time spent with you today along with church and Sunday
school friends.

Cheri and I didn’t go to
the Hole in One donut shop for breakfast this morning as I had a fasting
appointment this morning. I left the house at 7:45 am heading to Tampa VA for a
9:30 am C-scan on my lung as it has been six months since my last scan. I
arrived early and got in just before 9:00 am. When I got home Cheri was busy
doing the dusting and then to work in her sewing room. I headed out to work at
a place here in the park to repair a toilet. It had been leaking and refilling.
I was surprised as it was a new toilet. Whoever installed it didn’t remove the
rubber band that holds the flapper down during shipment. So after a time it
broke and got caught under the flapper causing the leak. It was an easy fix and
he asked me to check the other toilet as it was new. And sure enough there was
the rubber band but hadn’t got caught under the flapper. Then I stopped by the
bathroom project and explained to her about the water reversal that I needed to
fix. Then it was back home to clean out the truck and get things ready for the
afternoon working on the camping bed frame. I would have had that project done
but Lee wanted to help build the second one. She arrived at 1:00 pm to help and
we finished around 4:00 pm. by the time I got all of my tools and saws put away
it was 4:30 pm. It was 92 degrees and today and made it very hot working
outside. After a good hot shower and supper we settled in for a normal evening
of TV, Cheri watching and me napping. Thank you God for a blessed day.

Hard to believe this that
last day of May. The time goes by so fast I can hardly keep up. Cheri
was also busy with laundry and Friday house work. My day started with breakfast
and Bible study with my accountability group. After that I had an 8:00 am appointment
at Sunday school to see what the next step is going to be in the Sunday school
kitchen. Then it was back to work on the bathroom project and was able to
finish except for a few things. One problem I had was with the water. I was
told that the water faucet was wrong and that the hot and cold needed to be reversed
so I did that when I hooked up the new faucet. So after all was said and done I
check the water and it and now the hot and cold are wrong. Now I will have to
crawl under the house to make the change. The only thing I can think may have
been is the cartridge in the old faucet was installed wrong. It was my fault
for not checking it out myself. It was 2:00 pm when I found this out and was
depressed and was going to have to quit by 3:00 pm to get ready to go out for
dinner with Mike & Pam along with Ron and Sandy to celebrate Mike and Pam’s
50th wedding anniversary. We had a good time and got home around
8:30 pm. We were both really tired and decided to go to bed and watch TV there.
