Gay May-17-11

It was another slow day for us as we didn’t have any shows to see today. It was only 41 degrees this morning so we took our time getting around. I have been reading a book called Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand. It is a true world war two story of survival, resilience, and redemption. It is the best book I have ever read and it was hard to put it down. Well I finished it this morning and I highly recommend it for people to read. We have no idea what our men went through during the war. I now have a much better understanding on what happened in the prison camps. Thanks Pam for the heads up on this book. This afternoon we went down to the Branson Landing to do some shopping. The sun was out and it got up to 69 degrees this afternoon and was very nice walking the Landing. Around 4:30 pm we meet our friends Dave and Mary Ann Hassenbach from Mountain home Arkansas. They came up with their daughter and son-in-law to spend the day at Silver Dollar City and then over to eat supper with us at Waxy O’Shea’s Irish Pub. Cheri and I split a corn beef sandwich which was excellent. After a nice visit it was time to say good bye and make our way back to the 5th wheel. And of course it was Cheri’s night to watch Dancing with the Stars. There were no surprises on who was going to get voted out.
