I
had a lot of work that I wanted to get done today. At 6:30 am I was at the 5th
wheel giving it a final washing before taking it to the consignment yard. I was
done with the 5th wheel and back home 9:30 am. Cheri fixed me
breakfast and then I went back to work on waxing and cleaning the truck. Cheri
had a doctor’s appointment for her knee. She is still having problems with it
and looks like it may never be back to 100 percent. By 1:00 pm the truck was
done and so I called the consignment place to see if we could bring the truck
and 5th wheel in. Jason said that they were ready for it so we
headed back to Baker Acers to get the 5th wheel. Cheri and I haven’t
lost our touch hooking up as everything went smoothly. After I got it pulled
out onto the street I took some pictures of it. It took us about an hour to get
all the paper work filled out and showing Brian the maintenance manager how
things worked with the truck and 5th wheel. When we got home I told
Cheri that was going to take a long hot shower and be done for the day. About
the time I was ready to go for my shower Mike came by and asked me if I would
help him get his big tool box out of a storage shed he was renting. An hour
later I was back home and taking my shower. Cheri was fixing a French bread
loaf for supper. I just got done with my shower when we got a call from Larry
and Denise telling us that they are going to Alaska with their motor home,
wanting to know if it was too late in the season to go. They did ask us to go
with them but we are needed here in Florida. Today was a bitter sweet day for
Cheri and me, with the truck and 5th wheel now for sale it closes a
chapter in our lives that we has hoped to do a few more years but we are needed
here to take care of Grandma. So now we can dream about our new house that in
time will become our home.
