Cheri informed me this
morning that she was going to paint in the kitchen. We made a trip to Lowe’s
for some primer paint to help cover flower pattern that is on the wall. She was
hoping the blocking primer would help to the point that she wouldn’t have to
put on so many coats of paint. Well so far she has put on two coats of primer
and can still see the flower print. I took some of the back splash tiles and
laid them out and filled them with grout to see if we thought it would be the
right color before grouting the tiles I have installed. We think that the
samples look good and defines the three dimensional look we want. I also took
the car downtown for the four dollar wash. This afternoon I took the motorcycle
and made a trip down in Tampa to have my new glasses adjusted. When I got home
Cheri had just got done painting for the day. We had a chance to relax for an
hour before it was time to meet Ron and Sandy for supper and then over to their
place for dessert and visiting.

Today was motorcycle ride
day. There were five of us for the ride. Mike with two of his friends Tom and
Roger and my friend Larry. We left at 9:30 am and headed north where all the
good motorcycle riding roads are. We made a stop at an old biker bar that has
been closed for over a year and the building is starting to fall down and a lot
of things have been removed. Was sorry to see it close as we had several good
rides there for their Saturday steak dinners. I was looking for a restaurant on
the route I picked but didn’t find it so I had to change the route some to get
to a place to eat which turned out to be McDonald’s. After lunch we made a stop
at the Harley dealer in Crystal River. We all did some dreaming and drooling
over the new bikes. I really thought that Tom was going to buy a new one before
we left. I think that he will be going back in a couple of days. We had a good
170 mile ride and got home around 4:00 pm. Cheri and Denise spent the day
shopping. Cheri said Denise talked about playing cards but I e-mailed Larry and
Denise and told them I was too tired for cards tonight. It was nice to get a
way for a ride today and not think about work.

Cheri said Christmas is
over and it is time to take down the tree and all the Christmas decorations. So
this morning I got out all the containers so she could pack things up for
another year. The Christmas season went by so fast this year. I worked on
getting the motorcycle cleaned up and ready for a ride tomorrow with the guys.
I even went and got it gassed up. I also worked on the kitchen back splash
today. I finished installing on the refrigerator side. I am anxious to see what
it is going to look like with the grout install. I think I will grout this
section before installing the rest of the back splash. At this point I am not
sure if I like it or not. I hope the grout will give it that wow factor I am
looking for. I finished midafternoon and Cheri had the Christmas decorations
all boxed up. All I had to do was take the tree apart and box it up. Then put
everything in storage. After all of that we decided we had done enough for the
day. We check out what movies that were available to record and watched some.

Grandma didn’t go to
church with us today as her knee is giving her a lot of pain. Pastor Carl
delivered the message today on humanity. It was a really good message and I think
it was the best message Pastor Carl has delivered. Charlie did an excellent job
with the Sunday school lesson. We came home after Sunday school as we still
have Christmas leftovers to eat. After lunch Cheri sat down and read the Sunday
paper as she didn’t have time before we went to church this morning. I was
watching some football when she came to her recliner. So we started watching a
movie I had recorded. It wasn’t long and I was asleep. My nap lasted for a
couple of hours. When I woke up it was time to watch the Green Bay Packer
football game. It was a sad showing on the Packers part as they got out played
at every point of the game by the Cardinals. They were playing so bad that we
quit watching and watched a couple more movies we had recorded.

For the most part it was somewhat
busy but didn’t get much done. We went over to Larry and Denise’s this morning.
Cheri and Denise went and done a little shopping while Larry and I went over to
Grandma’s to check out the skirting around Grandma’s home. It needs to be replaced
on the back side. It is on a slope and not sure what is the best way or what to
use. So when Larry and I put our heads together we usually come up with some
good ideas. After checking it out we went to Sun Coast to see what they had and
they were closed. So we went to Lowe’s but no luck there finding anything. We
also went to Hind’s and it was also closed. So long story short we will have to
wait for another day. Cheri and I headed back home for a late lunch and then
Cheri took a nap. I worked on the power washer putting on the new carburetor I
had ordered for it. It is still not running quite right. So I have ordered a carburetor
gasket set which I think will fix the problem. Then I headed for the recliner
as I was very tired as Cheri was so I also took a nap. Cheri fixed Christmas leftovers
for supper which were still very good. I checked to see what was on TV, can’t
believe we have over hundred cannels and still can’t find anything worth
watching. We did watch a couple of movies I recorded which weren’t very good.

Merry Christmas to each
and every one. We pray you all had a blessed day. Cheri was very busy with
cooking today the best thing I could do was stay out of her way. She made an
apple pie for dessert. She prepared a ham, corn, scalloped potatoes, fresh
pineapple, baked buns, and bacon spinach salad for a late dinner we had with
Grandma, Larry, and Denise. I picked up Grandma at 2:00 pm and shortly after
Larry and Denise arrived. We played a game of dominoes which Cheri won. After
the wonderful meal Cheri prepared for us we played a game of SOB which I won.
It was time to take Grandma home. After I got back we played a game of Hand,
Knee, and Foot which Cheri and Denise won. After they left we called the kids
and visited with them. We had tried to call them earlier in the morning but
didn’t get any of them. Then later in the day we got calls from them but couldn’t
take them as we were having dinner or playing cards. They are all well and had
a wonderful Christmas. We are so blessed to have a wonderful family and great
friends. So Merry Christmas and good night to all.

It was a busy day at the
Sharps house today. Cheri was busy doing Thursday and Fridays house work and laundry.
She wanted to be able to have tomorrow off from housework but will be busy
cooking us Christmas Dinner. I worked on the back splash today. I had to figure
out how I was going to cut the opening in the tile for the electrical outlets.
With the help of masking tape to hold it all together I was able to make the cut
with the dermal tool. I was ready to install a few pieces when I started to
have a migraine headache. I took a couple of pills and rested for about an hour
and a half. After feeling much better I did get eight pieces installed. I was
at a good stopping point and was a good things as it was time to get ready to
head to church for the Christmas Eve service. Larry and Denise went with us.
After church we stopped at ABC Pizza for dinner. Larry and Denise’s meal was so
bad that they couldn’t eat any of it. Our waitress was very new and did all the
wrong things which didn’t help with the situation. We headed back to Larry and
Denise’s to play a couple games of cards. We split on the card games so
everyone was a winner.

We have been having unusual
season like warm weather and probably will break some records in the next
couple of days and I must say I like it which means a few more days that we won’t
have to face the colder weather. After Cheri got her Wednesday house work done
she pretty much took it easy and read her book and spent some time on the
phone. She needed a day of doing nothing and to relax. I finished the walls and
are now ready to be painted. I also changed out the batteries in our solar rope
lights. They were at the point of only staying on for a couple of hours. Then
it was back to work on cutting back splash tiles. I finished cutting the ones
for the back splash on the refrigerator side of the kitchen. I still have to
cut out four electrical boxes and then they will be ready to install. It was
4:00 pm when I got done. Cheri and I headed to Publix’s to get a few groceries
we needed for Christmas dinner. This evening we picked up Larry and Denise and
went to Dade City for the Christmas Church Street walk. Every year for three
evenings they block off Church Street. You can stroll down the street and see
all the houses decorated. Some have lights in time with music. A few places
have people singing Christmas Carrols. After we dropped off Larry and Denise we
drove around our park looking at all the lights. When we go to bed I always turn
on the TV and we got a screen message that something was wrong with our
connection. Just half an hour before we were watching live TV. Not sure what
went wrong but something to check out tomorrow.

Cheri did her Tuesday
house work and then headed to the sewing room to work on her quilt project. I
worked on several miscellaneous things that I needed to get done. I also got
things set up to cut the back splash tiles. The tiles are aluminum and need to
use a metal cutting saw. So I had bought a metal cutting blade for my skill saw
and used my True-Cut straight edge. It took me a while to figure out how to go
about the cutting but I did get four tiles cut. It is going to be a long
process in cutting as every tile has to be cut and I have fifty nine more to
do. Plus there are several electrical outlets that will have to be cut out. I think
I will split the project into three parts so I can have a break. Larry and Denise
stopped by and wanted to know if we wanted to go to Sam’s Club in Lakeland.
Cheri was done for the day and I was just about ready to quit myself. So we
went with them. After a stop at Sam’s Larry and I dropped Cheri and Denise off
at Jo-Ann Fabrics and we went to Harbor Freight. An hour later we were on our
way home. It was another good day, got a few things done and was able to spend
time with friends. If you tried to see the pictures I posted yesterday and wasn't able to see them try again as I didn't have the link done right.

We got an e-mail from
Larry and Denise wanting to know if we wanted to go with them to Largo to see
the Florida Botanical Gardens. We couldn’t pass up something that nice and to
do with good friends. We were also going to the Heritage Village but we found
out when we got there it isn’t open on Mondays and Tuesdays. So that will be
something for another time. After a few hours there we headed to Lakeland to
have a late lunch and an early dinner at Ling’s Chinese restaurant. We got home
around 5:00 pm. It was nice to have another free day from work. Our next door
neighbor Jean came over with some Christmas candy that she made for us. We had
a nice visit with her before settling in for an evening of TV. The warm weather
is back and it was a perfect day to be out and about. I have uploaded pictures
form our visit to Florida Botanical Gardens. Click on this link to see them. https://picasaweb.google.com/109645901863112014958/FloridaBotanicalGardenshttps://picasaweb.google.com/109645901863112014958/FloridaBotanicalGardens?authuser=0&authkey=Gv1sRgCIuM14CS8fWHCw&feat=directlink

It was another 45 degree
morning with a strong breeze. We got a call from Grandma this morning telling
us her knee was hurting really bad and wasn’t going to church today. I think
the cold weather also had something to do with her not going. Mel and Jan were
in church today. It has been five weeks since they were last in church. It sure
was good to see Mel well enough to be there. After church the four of us went
to Doc’s for lunch. It is the best place to go this time of the year as it isn’t
crowded and we are able to visit. It was almost 2:00 pm when we got home. Cheri
headed to the sewing room and I worked on the computer setting up my contacts.
After about an hour Cheri and I both had done all we wanted for the day. I wasn’t
able to get the Green Bay Packer game today. Our new DVR is recording shows
that we have already seen. I guess the memory is in the DVR and this one being
a new one doesn’t know what shows we have already seen. So it will be a while before
it gets straighten out. It did warm up to be a pretty nice day. Our warm
weather will be back tomorrow.

It was cold this morning
by Florida standards. It was 45 degrees and it felt like it was that cold in
the house before I started the furnace to warm things up. Later in the day it
was better but still on the cold side with a stiff wind all day. I managed to
find things to do inside to stay warm. I spent most of the morning e-mailing
Christmas letters to friends. Also spent some time getting my e-mail contact
list set up on our new computer. After trying different things I finally
figured out how to get them into my contact list. I had enough computer time
for the day and will work on the contact list another day. I worked on getting
the rest of the kitchen walls ready for Cheri to paint. I still have a little
more to do and they will be ready. Cheri spent all day working on her latest
quilt project. Later this afternoon I got together all the things that I didn’t
need to take back to Lowe’s plus we needed to made a stop at Wal-Mart. We know
that Saturday isn’t the best day to go to Wal-Mart and it being Christmas
shopping we were dreading the trip but all in all things went pretty good. It
was around 4:30 pm when we got home. We sat and relaxed a bit after we got
thing put away from our shopping. Cheri fixed breakfast for supper, hash
browns, eggs, bacon, and English muffins with blackberry jelly. One of my favorite
meals. After supper we covered up with blankets and settled in for an evening
of TV.

I have been informed that
I made a mistake on the blog yesterday. I said that Larry and I won at Skip-Bo
but I was wrong it was Cheri and Denise that won, well at least we tried. It
started raining around 3:00 am and was misty for part of the morning. We received
just under ½ an inch. The sun finally came out late this afternoon and the temp
never got out of the sixties. I got the old DVR packed up and dropped it off to
be mailed on our way to spend the day with Mike and Mary in Safety Harbor which
is about 50 miles from here. We had a good visit and went out for lunch and
then downtown so Cheri and Mary could check out the shops. We also checked out
the big live oak tree in the city park. We left at 3:00 pm to get ahead of the
rush hour traffic but didn’t quite make it as we got tied up in Wesley Chapel. It
was around 5:00 pm when we got home. We settled in for an evening of TV.

Cheri finished cleaning in
her sewing room and is working on a new quilt project. I did some computer work
and then took Grandma for her 11:20 am doctor appointment. She got another good
report and doesn’t have to go back to this doctor for three months. This after
noon I worked on the Kitchen TV putting in a new outlet behind the TV. I was
also the cable guy putting in a cable jack behind the TV. It looks nice not
seeing any cords. This evening Larry and Denise came over to play cards. Once
again Cheri and Denise won the game of Hand, Knee, and Foot. It was a close
game until the last hand in which they were done before Larry and I could get
started. We played one game of Skip-Bo which Larry and I won and then a game of
Phase Ten which Larry won. So it was a good day and nice evening spending it
with friends.

Cheri did her house work
and then spent the rest of the day in her sewing room. I took Grandma for her
9:00 am eye appointment which took longer than I thought it would. Then it was
a trip though the car wash. After I dropped off Grandma I went and got a
haircut. By the time all of this was done it was time for lunch. This afternoon
I worked on the kitchen cabinets at the end of the counter with some help from
Cheri. I have it all done except for some trim which needs to be done to all
the cabinets. Every cabinet is now useable so I think I will take a break from
cabinet work and try to get some other jobs done.

Today was a play day.
Mike, Larry, and I left at 9:30 am for a bike ride. Once again it looked like
it could rain all day but managed to get the ride in without getting wet. We
worked our way to Clermont and made a stop at the Harley dealer to do a little
dreaming. Then it was a stop at McDonald’s for a late lunch. It was too early
to head home so we worked our way to Lakeland with a stop at the Harley dealer
and got a free cookie. It was near 4:00 pm when we got home. The ride was 134
miles. Cheri and Denise spent the day shopping and working on a quilt project.
This evening we continued to watch the shows on the old DVR as we need to get
it sent back before they charge us for it.

This morning I worked on
setting up the new DVR. I had trouble getting the shows that I wanted set to
record, got very frustrated and decided to leave it for now. I decided to see
about getting the old computer set up so I could get all of our contacts transferred
to the new computer. But I ran out of time and had to take Cheri for her
appointment. After her appointment we went over to Larry and Denise’s to help
finish the siding installation on their shed. Denise and Cheri went to get some
groceries and when they returned it was time for lunch. After lunch Larry and I
continued with the siding and finished around 2:30 pm. All that is left to do
is install the door which Larry as on order and won’t be in until the end of
the month. Cheri and Denise spend the afternoon relaxing and visiting. After we
got done Larry and I had a cold beer which went down really well. We visited
for a while and then headed home. I went back to work on the computer contacts
and Cheri went to her sewing room. Things didn’t go well with the computer work
as I tried all different ways to do the contact list transfer and ended up having
to do them one at a time. I soon tired of doing that and decided to go back to
setting up the DVR which went better this afternoon. With Cheri’s help we got
all the shows set to record. I tried once more to see if I could find a way to
see the rest of the shows on the old DVR and finally found a way to watch them.

We went to church and took
Grandma with us. We didn’t go for lunch today as it takes so long with waiting
to get into a restaurant. So we just came home. Cheri fixed pork chops for dinner
while I worked with Direct TV to get the DVR replacement hooked up. Things went
well until I had to get it authorized which I tried to do on the internet. That
is when things went south. So I called for help and got a lady that was very
nice and helped me through it. There were many steps that were left out of the
directions I received. The bad things is we lost a lot of shows we had recorded
on the old DVR. Maybe we can still watch them by streaming them. I just got
done with the TV and it was time to leave and head back to church for the 3:00
pm Christmas program. It lasted almost two hours and must have taken at least
seventy five people to put it on. We could see they spent a lot of time getting
it done. It was a little past five when we got home. We settled in to watch the
Green Bay Packers play the Dallas Cowboys which I was recording. That was the
only thing I got set up on the DVR. Tomorrow I will have to set up all of our favorite
shows to be recorded.

It was a very busy day
helping Larry and Denise with their shed addition. We got to Larry and Denise’s
at 8:30 am. Larry and I went right to work on the shed. Cheri and Denise went
shopping. Things were going along well until Larry cut is wrist with a razor knife.
We had blood everywhere and took a while to get it to stop bleeding. I put ice
on it and with a lot of pressure. Larry had to lay down for a while as he was
lite headed. I ended up putting a folded
paper towel over three Band-Aids and then wrapped it with an ace bandage. After
a few minutes Larry felt better and we went back to work. I had called Cheri
and Denise and they went to the drug store to get the proper bandages and antiepic
and came home and redress Larry’s wrist. We had lunch and then went back to
work and Cheri and Denise went back shopping. We worked on the shed until 6:00
pm. It was dark and had gone as far as we could today. Really the only thing
left to do is install the siding and the overhead door. The door is on order
and won’t be in until the 30th. Cheri and Denise went and got pizza
for supper. Cheri and I got back home around 7:30 pm. I was ready for a hot
shower, a little TV, and then to bed.

I didn’t get any work done
today. I did get the DVR replace box opened and to see what I have to do with
that. I took Grandma for her lab appointment and when I got home it was time
for lunch and then to Tampa for my eye appointment. I took the motorcycle so at
least I got a nice ride today. It was 4:00 pm when I got back home. Larry and
Denise had just arrived. Denise had talked to Cheri today and wanted to go to
the new outlet mall over at Wesley Chapel and to have dinner at Applebee’s. On
the way back we were going to stop at the Wiregrass Shops to see the big
Christmas tree where the lights go on and off to the sound of music but couldn’t
find a parking place so we came on home. Cheri spent her day doing house work
and in her sewing room working on a new quilt project.

I was busy all day working
on the two kitchen cabinets that I rebuilt. Getting them attached together and
installed was very time consuming. The only break I had was taking Cheri for
her hair cut appointment at 10:30 am. She got right in and was done in half an
hour. Then back home to continue with the cabinets. By 3:00 pm I had them secured
in place. All that is left is some trim work and I have to order some
additional trim to finish that section. Cheri did laundry and worked all day on
Christmas cards. This evening we went out for dinner with Mike and Pam. We went
to Catch of the Day. It is a restaurant that we have been to before it changed
hands and a new name. Mike and I didn’t think it was very good but Pam and
Cheri said that what they had was very good. So I am not sure if we will go
back again. After we eat we went over to Mike and Pam’s to play cards. We
played one game of Skip-Bo and one game of Hand, Knee, and Foot. Mike and I
were the winner this evening, something that doesn’t happen very often. It was
a wonderful way to end the day visiting and laughing with good friends.

We got an early start to
the day as Cheri and I both were up early as we put in a bad night. We were
over to Larry and Denise’s by 9:00 am to help them with a couple of projects.
Me to help Larry mix and pour cement and Cheri to help Denise with a quilting
project. Larry and I headed to Lowe’s to get 20 bags of Quikrete mix. We also
picked up my wheel barrow to mix it in. Larry is in the process of extending his
shed and putting in an overhead door so he can garage the motorcycles. I did
all the mixing and Larry did the pouring and leveling. Things went well and
were done by noon. After lunch we took back four bags and my wheel barrow. When
we got back the concrete was ready to be troweled. Cheri and Denise were busy
working on a hand stitching project which Denise has had for some time and wasn’t
sure how to do the stitching. When we got home I cleaned up my mess in the
sunroom from my cabinet building. I also put up the cork board on the back of
the cabinet doors in the office area that way we can tack things on it and it
is out of site. Cheri worked on the Christmas letter. At 4:00 pm we were both
done for the day.

Cheri and I took Grandma
for her doctor’s appointment at 9:00 am. She had a very good checkup. We got
here over to Wal-Mart just in time for her 10:00 am hair cut appointment. While
she was getting her hair cut we did her grocery shopping and picked up her
medicine. It was around 11:00 am before we got back home. Cheri fixed lunch
while I made a call to Direct TV to see if they could do something to lower our
monthly bill. We have been with Direct TV for 10 years and hated to make a
change so after talking to them they lowered our monthly bill by $40. All I had
to do for this was have a year’s contract. After lunch Cheri worked in her
sewing room getting things cleaned up and ready for her next project. I worked
on assembling the last kitchen cabinet. Then made a base for them to sit on and
got them set in place to see what the next step is going to be to fasten them
in place. It was already near 4:00 pm and didn’t feel like doing any more work
today. I really should have cleaned up
the mess I made in the sun room assembling the cabinets but it is going to have
to wait for another day.

We had go get around early
this morning as Cheri had a non-fasting lab appointment at 8:00am. We were back
home by 8:30 am. So I went to work on assembling one of the cabinets I had cut
out. Cheri had some breakfast and then finished up with the filing. A little
pass 10:00 am we headed to Lakeland to meet Mike & Mary, Norm &
Marlene, Willis & Phyllis for lunch at Fred’s. It has been a long time
since all of us have been together at the same time. Our lunch time lasted
about two hours and was a good time visiting and laughing. We all miss the
times we had together when we all lived in Baker Acers. With Mike and Mary
moving to South Carolina we may never get together as a group again. Cheri and
I made a stop at Home Decor and More to check on back splash mastic and grout.
We found a color of grout that we think will work with the counter tops and
also got the mastic, one step closer to installing the back splash. We also
stopped at Harbor Freight to get a metal cutting blade to cut the back splash
tiles. Then we headed to Dade City to visit with Mel and Jan. They were both on
the down side so needed someone to lift their sprits, glad we were able to do
that. It was 4:00 pm when we got home. I took the clamps off the cabinet I had
assembled this morning and set it in the kitchen and now ready to assemble the
last cabinet. It was time for us to rest a bit before heading over to Larry and
Denise’s to play cards. Larry and I won our first game of cards for the season.
Cheri and Denise have been pretty hard on Larry and me. All in all it was an
excellent day with many friends.

Church and Sunday school
were both very good today. In fact Sunday school was so good that it went over
by about fifteen minutes which made us later for lunch. It was just Grandma,
Cheri, and me for lunch. We decided to go to the Village Inn in Zephyrhills.
Well it was a long wait as there were a lot of people ahead of us. After all
was said and done it was 2:00 pm when we got home. I didn’t have any football
or racing to watch so I decided to work on the kitchen cabinets I am
rebuilding. It was after 5:00 pm when I finally called it a day. I finished
getting the cutting done and also the painting. So they are now ready to be
assembled which I hope to do tomorrow. Cheri continued working on the filing.
She just has a little clean up to do and that project will be done. It was a
blessed day God made for us.

We spent the first part of
the morning doing bible study and preparing ourselves for the Sunday school
lesson for tomorrow. We had some errands to do today so we decided to go and do
them first. Our first stop was Wal-Mart here in Zephyrhills to pick up Grandma’s
medicine. We needed gas so I filled up at Wal-Mart for $1.97 and then a five
cent discount per gallon. Then we headed to Wesley Chapel to get the new lens
for Cheri’s glasses, she still has the double vision. Then we stopped at
Wal-Mart in Wesley Chapel. Cheri needed some cleaning supplies and we had a
couple of things to return. Our last stop was Lowe’s to get a couple bags of
salt for the water softener. It was around 1:30 pm when we arrived home. After
a late lunch I went to work on rebuilding a couple of kitchen cabinets and
Cheri went back to work on the file cabinet files. Of the two cabinets I was
working on I have one all cut out and ready for paint and the second one about
half done. It was near 6:00 pm before I quit for the day. I think Cheri has
most of the filing done, said that she had some that I need to look at.

After a fun day yesterday
it was time to get back to work today. After Cheri got the laundry and
vacuuming done she worked on reorganizing all of our files. It is a big job and
will take her a few days to get it done. Which led me to build the pull out
tray in the office area for the file box. It took me most of the day and
changed the way I was going to build it several times using the materials that
I had on hand. I had it done by 3:00 pm and the next step will be to remove it
from the cabinet and paint it which I will do after I get the next two cabinets
that I need to build for the kitchen. Cheri and I rested for a couple of hours
before we got ready to go the church senior Christmas party in Dade City.
Grandma also went with us. We had a very good meal of chicken and barbeque beef
with potatoes, green beans, and salad. I was around 8:30 pm when we got home.
Last night I was watching the Green Bay Packers playing the Detroit Lions and
the Packers were behind 20 to nothing and it was midway through the third quarter
and I gave up on them and went to bed. Boy was I surprised when I got up this
morning and found out that they had won. So this evening we watched the rest of
the game which I had recorded. It just goes to show that we should never give
up in life as there is always a way to get things done. Of course you have to
have Gods help to do it.

Today was a play day and
no work. I lead a motorcycle ride with three other bikes. It was the same group
that I rode with last year. Because of health problems this was the first time
we could get together for a ride. It sure was good to get back in the saddle
again. The weather didn’t look very good when we left as rain had been forcasted
but more to the south so we headed north to Leesburg by way of all the back
roads. I even found a couple that we hadn’t been on before. We had sunshine
when we got to Leesburg but on the way home we were soon back in weather that
looked like rain but got the trip in without rain. We rode 130 miles and got
home around 4:30 pm. Cheri and Denise went shopping all day and arrived home
about two minutes after Larry and me. Cheri and Denise had fun and both had
packages from their day of shopping. We have been seriously thinking about
switching our cable from Direct TV to Bright House. So I went up to Mike and
Pam’s this evening to see how much different there was between the two. We have
had Direct TV for over ten years but need to find a way to save some money. So
Cheri and I have to make a decision on what to do.

It was another no work day
as Mike and Mary are coming for the day to visit. So we were in no hurry
getting around this morning. I did do some work earlier on designing a built in
file cabinet to the desk area. I probably would have done more but needed to
use the saw and didn’t want to get all covered with sawdust before Mike and
Mary got here. Just before they arrived Larry and Denise stopped by want us to
go to Ikea and Sam’s club with them. We had to take a rain check on that trip.
Just as they were leaving Mike and Mary arrived. We had a good visit and then
went out for lunch and then back to our place for more visiting. They have been
trying to sell their house and are on the third person now as the other two weren’t
able to get financing. Mike and Mary have a house bought up in South Carolina
if theirs sells. We will miss seeing them after they move. They left around
3:30 pm. I took the car to have it washed and they have raised the price to
four dollars which is still a good deal. I also took the motorcycle and filled
it with gas so it is ready for tomorrows ride. Cheri made dumping’s with the
leftover turkey for supper (really good) plus one more meal.

Well another month gone
and not sure where it went. Seem like the days and months go by faster as we
age. I had a 9:30 am appointment in Wesley Chapel for the car as we had a
recall to have the transmission reprogramed. Cheri went along and I dropped her
off so she could shop. I just got out of
the car at the dealership when I turned around and there was Ron with Sandy’s
van to have a four wheel alignment. It made the time go by fast as Ron and I had
a good visit while our vehicles were being repaired. Neither of us knew we were
going to be there and both had the same appointment time. Our car was done a
while before Ron and Sandy’s so I stayed and visited with Ron until his was
done. It also gave Cheri more time to shop. After Ron was done I headed over to
the shopping center and picked up Cheri. We were only a couple of blocks away
from the place where Cheri got her glasses. So we stopped to see if maybe the
new ones came in. The lady checked and they just arrived. So she got fitted
with the new ones and found that there was a scratch on one of the lens so she
was going to order a new lens for them. Our next stop was Wal-Mart in Wesley
Chapel, we like this one better because it is bigger than and not as busy as
Zephyrhills. We had a late lunch when we got home and then Cheri continued to
work in the kitchen getting things put away in the cabinets. I readjusted a
shelf in the pantry cabinet, had to drill additional holes for the shelf. I
also did some measuring to build a pull out shelf in the office area for a file
box. Then made a trip to Lowe’s for paint to use on the cabinet pull out. So
all in all it was a productive day for Cheri and me.

It was a morning that we
didn’t have to be anywhere so we took our time getting around. Cheri worked on
moving things into the new cabinets and then changing which cabinet she want
things in. She had me helping with some of the stuff and putting shelves in
some of the cabinets. I finally went outside and got the Christmas lights out
and started putting them up when we got a call from Ron and Sandy. They were in
town so they stopped over to see our new cabinets and countertops. Just before
they left Larry and Denise came to see the new counter tops. Larry and I headed
over to Lowe’s as I needed a sheet of plywood to build a couple of cabinets. So
Larry hauled it home for me. Cheri fixed the four of us turkey and ham
sandwiches for lunch and then the four of us headed down to Tampa to get the
back splash tiles. We got back around 4:00 pm and was too late to do anything
so we played a game of Hand, Knee, and Foot which Cheri and Denise won. Larry
and I are still trying to win our first game. After Larry and Denise left Cheri
fixed us pizza for supper and then we settled in for an evening of TV.

We picked up Grandma and
took her to church with us this morning. Pastor Randy had powerful message on
faith and was very interesting and made the time go by so fast. Sunday school
was also about faith and went along with what Pastor Randy’s message was about.
We didn’t go out for lunch today as we still have leftovers at home that we
need to eat. We stopped by Mel and Jan’s to drop off notes from church and
Sunday school as Mel is still very weak and wasn’t able to go to church. We
visited for a while and waited for Sherry to return from shopping so we could
say good bye to her as she is leaving to go back north in the morning. When we
got home we settled in to watch some of the TV shows we have recorded, we have
a lot of shows to get caught up on. I got an e-mail from Mike and he wants to
go for a motorcycle ride so we got one set up for Thursday. They are calling
for rain on Thursday but it is far enough away maybe we won’t get it. We couldn’t
go any sooner as Thursday and Friday were the only days everyone was free.

Things were kind of sad
here this morning as Nikki has to leave today and head back to Wisconsin. The
week she was here went so fast and we didn’t get to take her to some of the
places we had planned. We left for the airport at 10:30 am. After we dropped
Nikki off at the airport we stopped at the tile shop to buy the back splash for
the kitchen. The store was closed for the weekend. The store hours for Sat were
8:00 am to 12:00 pm and we were there at 11:45 am. I could see other delivery
slips on the door so I know they were closed all day. We stopped at Home Depot
to see about an under counter pull out towel rack, no luck on that. We did buy
some spray paint to try and paint the switches and electrical outlets to match
the back splash. We also stopped at Lowe’s still looking for the towel rack
with no luck. So when we got home I ordered one on line. I sprayed one switch
and cover and it looked good next to the back splash sample we have. We relaxed
the rest of the afternoon and then met Mike and Pam uptown at 5:00 pm for
dinner and then back to our place to play cards. It has been over two weeks
since we last seen them, nice to end the day with good friends.

Well I know Thanksgiving
over because Cheri had me get all the Christmas decoration out and put the
Christmas tree up. Cheri and Nikki spent all morning putting away all the
Thanksgiving decorations and putting up the Christmas decorations. I worked in
the kitchen putting up the pendulant lights up over the peninsula counter. It
was after 1:30 pm when I got done which was shortly after Cheri and Nikki got
done with the Christmas decorations. We had a late lunch as I didn’t want to
stop with the lighting until it was done. After lunch we dropped Nikki off at
Grandma’s and Cheri and I went to the hospital to see Mel. He is very dehydrated
from the radiation treatments and loose bowels. They think he will be able to go
home tomorrow. We picked up Nikki around 5:00 pm and headed home. We had
another Thanksgiving dinner from all the left overs, still have enough turkey
for a couple more meals. I have uploaded a picture of craft projects Cheri and
Nikki did this week.

Happy Thanks Giving. I
hope you all had a blessed day and was able to spend it with family and
friends. The turkey dinner with all the trimmings we got from Publix’s was
really good. Nikki made a cherry pie and pumpkin fluff to eat with gram
crackers. While Cheri and Nikki were fixing dinner I worked on getting the
water and drain hooked up to the new sink. Everything went well until I hooked
up the drinking water. I had run a new water line for it. When I turned on the water
I had a leak spraying water where it came into the cabinet. It looked like it
was coming from behind the dishwasher. So I removed the dishwasher and found it
was right where it came through the cabinet side wall. Somehow it got bent over
and broke at that point. I had an extra water line splicer so it wasn’t long I
had it fixed and the dishwasher back in place. It took most of the day to
getter done as Cheri and Nikki were working in the same area getting dinner
ready. Late this afternoon after I got done Cheri, Nikki, and Grandma played
cards. I headed to my recliner to watch a little TV and take a nap. Nikki took
Grandma home which was nice because I really didn’t feel like going out. I was
the last one to bed this evening as I had to stay up to watch the Green Bay
Packers play the Chicago Bears. It was a disappointing game as the Bears won.
The Packers had plenty of chances but just didn’t pull it off.

We got around early this
morning as they were coming to install the new counter tops the first thing
this morning. Well when 10:00 am came Cheri called to find out when they would
be here. She was told that they just left and would be here in an hour. So much
for the first thing in the morning. I guess their day starts later than mine. Mike
and his brother Hank stopped by to see the cabinets and counter top. They got
here just a few minutes after the counter top guys. Long story short the
counter tops are in and look great. We had to wait until after 4:00 pm before
we could put anything on the counters and I have to wait until tomorrow to do
the sink plumbing because of the weight of the garbage disposal. So after they
left we went to Lowe’s to get the plumbing materials I will need tomorrow. Then
we looked at stoves and refrigerators as they have a big sale on them right
now. On the way home we stopped at Publix’s and picked up our Thanks Giving
diner. It is a precooked turkey with all the trimmings. All that has to be done
tomorrow is cook the turkey for two hours and heat up the rest of the meal and
we will be ready for a Thanks Giving dinner.

This morning we took Nikki
out to the flea market. It is the first time we have been there this season. It
seems like it is bigger than it was last year. I purchase four carpenter pencils
and a bag of kettle corn, seems like I have to buy a bag every time I go. It
doesn’t take me very long to see everything and was back to the car to wait
almost an hour for Cheri and Nikki to come. When we got home I worked on the rest
of the cabinet lighting. Cheri and Nikki went shopping and to pick up medicine
for Grandma and then to her place for pizza and cards. After I got done with
the cabinet lighting I took a motorcycle ride to Home Depot to get a black
telephone jack and then on to Lowe’s in New Tampa to check out a trash and
recycle bins that roll out from a cabinet. This Lowe’s was the only one that
had them. Well I ended up buy one and strapped it on the motorcycle. I looked
pretty funny going down the road with it. Cheri and Nikki got home about 45
minutes before I did. I install the new trash and recycle containers in one of
the pantry cabinets. It was near 6:00 pm before I was done. We had some lasagna
that Cheri had frozen along with garlic toast for supper. We watch Dancing with
the Stars or I should say Cheri and Nikki did as I slept through most of it and
woke up to see who won. Cheri was very happy with the results.

I got up this morning to a

get to see the doctor until 10:00 am. She had a fasting lab and was pretty
hungry by the time I got her back to our place for something to eat. She visited
with Cheri and Nikki while they were doing a painting project. I headed to Lowe’s
to get a some plumbing fittings for the water filter I am installing for the refrigerator
in order to have some good ice cubes without the chorine taste. I also picked
up the under cabinet lights for the kitchen. Nikki made potato soup for lunch
which was excellent. Was really good on a cold day. This afternoon Cheri and
Nikki took Grandma home and then went shopping. I worked on refrigerator water
filter and lights under the cabinets. The filter is done and the lighting is
done on the sink side cabinets and the office area, still have the refrigerator
side to do. We had leftover soup for supper. We watched Dancing with the Stars
and Cheri said the wrong person got voted off.

It was a misty rainy day
although we did get some sun midafternoon and then more misty rain. We did go

school as we had a few other things going on. After church we did stop by Mel
and Jan’s as they weren’t in church. Mel is not feeling well after having all
the radiation treatments. We dropped off church information along with new
Sunday school study book. Nikki wanted to go to Golden Corral while she was
here so that was where we eat lunch today. We brought Grandma back here to
watch the football game with me but it didn’t start until 4:30 pm. So Nikki and
Cheri took her home and then went shopping. I worked out in the shop putting
things away from the kitchen project. Nikki and Cheri picked up Grandma on
their way home from shopping so she could watch the Green Bay Packers with me. Cheri
and Nikki were busy checking out projects on the computer that they might like

They also did some grocery shopping so that they can make potato soup from a recipe

today cutting back the shrubs and flowers. I also clean all the twigs and
branches off the roof of the house. Then I cleaned the rain gutters and raked
up the leaves in the back yard. After all of that I was ready for another
shower as I was pretty hot and sweaty. Then it was time to watch Wisconsin
Badger football. Cheri made a wonderful dinner of Italian chicken, spinach
salad, baked potatoes, mixed vegetables, and fresh baked buns with cherry jelly.
Very good. I took Grandma home around 6:30 pm. Then we settled in for an

some fine tuning on her prescription. After the appointment we headed to Wesley
Chapel to order the new glasses. If this doesn’t take care of the double vision
she will have to go see a retinologist. While we were in Wesley Chapel we had a
late lunch at the Hibachi Grill. We also made a stop at the Honda dealer to
make an appointment for the recall on our car. Our last stop was the Wesley
Chapel Wal-Mart to get some more paint for the kitchen. It was after 3:00 pm
when we got home and still had some cleaning to do. Larry and Denise came over

Larry and Denise came over
this morning. Cheri and Denise went shopping. Larry helped me haul away all the
old kitchen cabinets with their truck. We took everything to the Re-Store here
in Zephyrhills. They even took the pallets that the new cabinets came on plus some
scrap for their dumpster. It took four truck loads to get rid of everything. It
was 1:00 pm when we got done. I called Cheri to see if they were going to be
around for lunch. She said that they just got to Jo-Ann Fabrics as there had
been an accident and had to go a long ways to get around it. So Larry and I
went to Pizza Hut for lunch. After lunch we headed home and when I went to put
the tarps away I realized I still had the old hot water heater to get rid of.
So we loaded it in the truck and headed to the scrap yard to get rid of it. We
also loaded up the cardboard and newspapers we had and has we were unloading
them at the park dumpster a guy wanted to know if he could have the hot water
heater as he and a friend part them out. So we unloaded it there for him, nice
that we didn’t have to make the trip to the scarp yard. With everything done
Larry asked me if I wanted to take a motorcycle ride with him to look at a new
topper for their truck. We rode to a truck accessories place down by the Tampa
Fairgrounds. It was my first motorcycle ride since May, sure felt good to get
back on the bike. The ride was 55 miles which was just right for my first ride.
It was near 5:00 pm when we got back to our place. Larry and Denise headed home

just checked the rain gauge and we received just over a ½ inch of a much needed

We were up early this

left the same time Darren left for work (7:40 am). We were going to stop for
breakfast before we got on the road very far but things moved along pretty good
in the rush hour traffic so we kept going until we were south of Atlanta. When
we got off I-75 for breakfast there was a sign that said large quilt shop.
Guess who wanted to check it out? So at breakfast we asked the waitress if she
knew where it was and she told us how to get to it. We got to the quilt shop at
9:45 am and had to wait until 10:00 am for it to open. We didn’t have a lot of
time to spend there but Cheri did find a few things. We needed to get back on
the road as we had tickets to see Tony Dungy speak at our church this evening.
We got home at 4:10 pm, unpacked the car, changed our clothes, and then headed
to Dade City to have a sub at Subway for our dinner. We were early getting to

which was very interesting. We were back home by 8:45 pm and were ready to call

the day in the garage sorting through tubs of things and then with my help got
it put up in the new storage area in the garage attic. One last thing we did
was put up his laser parking stops so they know where to stop when they park
the cars in the garage. We got cleaned up and headed over to Chris and Cheryl’s

casserole, butter beans, and French garlic bread. It was a meal fit for a king.

We continue to be very

worked on the chair rail Darren put the new garage cabinets together. Brooke
made a trip to Lowe’s to pick up a few things we needed. We didn’t break for lunch
until 1:30 pm. At 2:30 pm the last piece of chair rail was installed (all 230
plus feet). Cheri had finished the wall painting. Next was to start the caulking
and paint touch up. Cheri and I finished what we could do in the master bedroom.
So Darren helped move the furniture so we could get to the rest of the bedroom
walls. By 4:30 pm the master bedroom was all done. We quit work at 5:00 pm as
we were to be at Brooke’s parents (Chris and Cheryl) at 6:00 pm for drinks and

garage. Then it was time to work with chair rail. After making a couple of
sample cuts I realized we needed a square to make sure we had the saw set up
right. So we headed to Lowe’s to get the square and a level. While we were
there Darren also bought a couple of cabinets for the garage. We also checked
out flooring for the bathroom in the loft. When we got home we had lunch and
then back to work. We got several pieces of chair rail up but not without me
making some miss measurements and wrong cuts. But the more we did the better I
got. What we have done looks nice but we still have a lot left to do. We quit
at 6:00 pm and headed downtown to have Mexican for supper which was very good.
We got so much food we brought home enough for another meal. After supper we
went to the grocery store to get a few things Cheri needs to make cookies, a
bagel dip that Brooke likes, and Lasagna for tomorrow.

Cheri and I had a busy day
working on things in Darren and Brooke’s house. Cheri was busy painting all 230
plus feet of chair rail. I work on electrical in the garage adding additional
outlet for their lawn sprinkler, had a cord running across the ceiling to the
garage door outlet. I also added a light in the attic of the garage plus a new
out let in the ceiling. Darren came home with the paint that will go on the
walls below the new chair rail. So we put up a chalk line on the wall so Cheri
could paint before putting the chair rail up. Darren and I got some of the
plywood up in the attic so they will have a floor to set all the things that
will go into storage. We still have to cut a couple of pieces to fit and then
screw all of it down. Darren and Brooke took us out for supper in downtown
Roswell and Brooke’s mother met us there. We had several appetizers, calamari,
sliders, Bang-bang shrimp, bacon rapped shrimp. When we got home we watched a
little TV and called it a night.

I was busy all morning
changing out electrical receptacles, switches, and cover plates. Cheri was good
about getting what I needed for each receptacle and switch plus cleaning up
behind me. We worked until around 2:00 pm when Darren got home. We took
measurements to add a storage floor in the attic of the garage along with
lights and new electrical outlets in the garage. We also measured to add chair
rail to three bedrooms and hallway (about 230 feet). Then the three of us
headed to Home Depot to get the plywood for the attic, chair rail, and some
additional electrical materials. We got the electrical materials and then went
to the lumber department and found that they didn’t have enough of the chair
rail. They checked other Home Depots and found one that was about ten mile
farther away that had the chair rail so we headed there to get it. Long story
short we did get enough but had to take some damaged pieces. We got the plywood
and rented one of their trucks to haul it home. It worked out good getting the
truck as it only cost twenty dollars plus two gallon of gas. It was 5:30 pm
when we finally got home from returning the truck. After supper we hung a large
3’ by 5’ mirror on the wall in the dining room and one of Darren’s big pictures
(4’ by 4’) high on the wall by the open stairway to the loft.

The guy came around 10:20
am to measure for the counter tops and have an appointment to have them
installed next Tuesday. It worked out well as we are gone for a week and they
will be ready when we get home. So we were on the road at 11:00 am headed to
Roswell GA to spend a week with Darren and Brooke. The day was overcast so it
was nice for driving except when we got into Georgia we had a light mist of
rain the rest of the way. We made a stop for gas about 100 miles south of
Atlanta and it was 53 degrees and we were in shorts and short sleeves, cold for
people from Florida. The traffic move along really well until we were about 12
miles from Darren and Brooke’s. It took us an hour to go that 12 miles of stop
and go rush hour traffic. We arrived at Darren and Brooke’s a few minutes past
6:00 pm. sure was good to see them and got a tour of their house, very nice.
Darren fixed us some potato soup which was very good. We spent the evening
visiting and watched a little TV.

We had a good day. We
Picked up Grandma and took her to church with us. Pastor Randy sent us his
message notes so Grandma could follow along with the service. Sure is nice of
him to do that. His message was A Simple Plan from Romans and 2 Corinthians
6:2. Our Sunday school lesson was A New Name from Genesis 17:1-8, 15-22. Mel
and Jan didn’t make it to church today so it was just us for lunch at the
Village Inn. After we dropped of Grandma we made a quick stop at Wal-Mart and
then stopped to see Mel and Jan. Mel was feeling a little weak and needed his
walker to get around and figured it would be best to stay home. It was almost
3:00 pm when we got home. I settled in to watch the NASCAR race and Cheri did
some laundry and started packing for our trip to see Darren and Brooke.

I got up around 4:30 am
this morning as I wanted to get an early start on working with the cabinets in
the kitchen. The plan for the day was to get all the base cabinets in so that
the counter top people can come Monday morning and measure for the new counter
tops. I am not sure what Cheri did today but I do know she was busy all day
plus she continued to clean up after me which is a full time job. I was done by
4:30 pm and ready for a shower. I needed to get cleaned up as at 5:30 pm we
were going down to the Rec Hall for with Mike and Kathy for a free Italian meal
being put on by the park manager. It was an ok meal but nothing great but when
it is free you can’t complain. There were around 150 people for the meal and
then played a game and had a 50-50 drawing. It was around 8:00 pm when we got
home. I settled in to watch the Wisconsin Badger football game I had recorded. Cheri
spent the rest of the evening with her I-Pad.

It was a busy day for
Cheri and me. Cheri got the laundry started early this morning and spent time
in the sewing room cutting down our king size electric blanket to a queen size.
While I was working on the electrical we got a call from Jan telling us that
she was in the emergency room with Mel. His blood pressure was sky high and his
lungs full of fluids. She said that he was resting and doing better but was
going to admit him for the day to keep an eye on him. So after lunch we went to
see him and he looked good and said that he really could have gone home. The
doctor came in and listened to his heart and lungs. He said that he still had
fluid in the lower part of his lungs but was much better. I had some good news
today as the cabinet I ordered came. So I busy putting it together this
afternoon. I also got the upper cabinets installed in the office area plus one
additional cabinet in the kitchen. I only have four base cabinets left to
install and I will get them done tomorrow. Cheri called the stone yard and made
an appointment for Monday morning to come and measure up for the counter tops.
We were going to leave early Monday morning and head to Atlanta to spend a week
with Darren and Brooke. Our appointment is for 10:00 am and will be done by
11:00 am so we should be on the road to Atlanta by 11:30 am. The counter tops
should be ready to install when we get back from Atlanta. It was 6:00 pm before
I was done for the day.

I had trouble getting my
body to move and get started today, just tired. Cheri was busy with house work
and laundry. I was about ready to leave and head to Lowe’s for some electrical materials
when Larry and Denise came. Larry went with me to Lowe’s and Cheri and Denise
were checking out new templates on the internet for quilting. Larry and I got
back around 11:00 am and we visited for a while and they left as they have
company coming this afternoon. Cheri and I had lunch before I got started on
the electrical work. Mel and Jan stopped by around 1:30 pm for a visit and to
drop off a get well card for me. I quit working at 3:00 pm as I needed to shut
the power off to continue and the circuit I was working was the lights which
met it would be on the dark side for doing anymore and I didn’t feel like
getting an additional light source today. I guess I was pretty lazy today. We
rested until it was time to meet Mike and Pam at Panera Bread for supper and
then to Ron and Sandy’s for our Life Group Gathering. It was the last Life
Group for this season. We are going to miss being with our friends and learning
more about God.

Cheri got up in the night
because I was snoring very load and couldn’t sleep. She went out and put on a
coat of paint in the office area and then came back to bed. So she is very
tired today. She put on the last coat of paint this morning so I could start
doing the electrical work. I also patched some holes in the office area. I also
cut in some electrical boxes on the sink side of the kitchen for more electrical
outlets. I was busy all day but really can't see where I did anything. I was at a good stopping point around 3:00 pm and didn’t feel like
hanging any cabinets today. So Cheri and I relaxed and watched some TV. After
supper we went over to Larry and Denise’s to play Hand, Knee, and Foot. We
played two games which Cheri and Denise won.

We didn’t get very much
work done today. I had a follow up doctor’s appointment at the VA this morning
and had to wait over an hour to get in. I had a good follow up report from the
doctor. On the way home we stopped at the Re-Store to see if they wanted any of
the old kitchen cabinets we removed. They gave me a telephone number to call
and they will come and pick them up. We made one more stop at the hair solon so
Cheri could see about getting an appointment to have her hair done. She came
out and said that she could get in right away so I headed home and she is going
to call when she is done. It was already 1:00 pm when I got home. So I worked
on getting things ready for Cheri to paint in the office area and another coat
of plaster on the wall. I just got done and Cheri called and was ready for me
to pick her up, good timing. When we got home Cheri went right to work on
painting and I worked on the base cabinets. I was done at 4:30 pm and Cheri was
done at 5:00 pm. We rested a while before Cheri fixed supper.

It was another busy day in
the kitchen. I had some dry wall work to do where I had taken out some of the
old cabinets and damaged the wall. Also did some electrical work as it would be
easier to do before putting in the base cabinet. Larry and Denise came over
early afternoon to see our kitchen project and then Larry help me remove the
old cabinets from the office area. Cheri and Denise went shopping in Dade City
while Larry and I were removing the old cabinets. We were done by 3:30 pm and
Cheri and Denise were back so we sat and visited for a while. After they left I
finished cleaning up so Cheri could fix supper. We had some of the ribs that we
got at Sam’s yesterday. I still think they are best ribs. This evening was
Dancing with the Stars and I couldn’t stay awake, kept falling asleep so headed
to bed. I don’t know who got voted off.

It was nice to have the
extra hours sleep last night but the truth be known I would much rather stay on
daylight time. Grandma went to church with us today. Pastor Randy message was
Do You Really Believe? From Romans 10:8-13. It was a very good message. Our
Sunday school lesson was Waiting for the Promise from Genesis 15:1-7, 13-16.
Charlie did and excellent job of presenting it. After Sunday school we along
with Mel and Jan went to Doc’s for lunch which was good and got a chance to
visit. We got a call from Larry and Denise and they arrived around 9:30 pm last
night and wanted to know if we wanted to go to Sam’s this afternoon. So we
headed home and changed our clothes and went over to their place. Larry and Denise
got a new truck just before they came down. We had a nice visit before heading
to Sam’s. We really didn’t need anything but managed to spend over 100 dollars.
We also got some of Sam’s great pork ribs. Larry and Denise asked us to stay
for supper but we had things that need to be refrigerated and I was tired so we
headed home. Cheri fixed us a pizza for supper and I settled in to watch the
NASCAR race that I had recorded and was happy to see Jeff Gordon win the race.
I also watch some of the Green Bay Packer game with Denver Broncos. Green Bay
was behind and I was really tired to I headed to bed. Cheri went an hour before
me.
