Gay June-1-15

We were both
up early this morning to make our trip to Atlanta for Darren (our son) and
Brooke’s wedding which is on Saturday. By 7:15 am the car was all packed and we
were ready to hit the road. The last couple of days Cheri’s eye has been
bothering her, it is the eye she had surgery on a couple weeks ago. So we
stopped by the doctor’s office to have it looked at and then we would be on our
way to Atlanta. How quickly things can change. Cheri found out that she has a
detached retina and needed to see a specialist in Lakeland. Long story short
the ophthalmologists said that she had to have surgery to repair it and the
surgery will be on Wednesday afternoon in Winter Haven which is about 50 miles
from here. She also has a follow up appointment on Thursday morning back in
Winter Haven. We will not be able to travel to Atlanta for the wedding which
really made things a lot worst. After all was said and done it was 1:30 pm and
we hadn’t had anything to eat as we were going to drive a while and have a late
breakfast and a rest stop. We stopped at Bob Evan’s in Lakeland and had the
worst meal ever (we were both sick during the night with the trots). When we
got home we got the car unloaded and Cheri put things away while I went and got
some groceries as we didn’t have much in the house because we were going to be
gone for a week. We made calls to family and friends to let them know what
happened today. Please pray for Cheri to have a full and speedy recovery from surgery.
She was told it could take up to six months to have clear vision.
