I didn’t sleep very well last night; I couldn’t get my mind to shut down for the night, thinking about all the things we need to get done before we leave the states. We were also parked in a spot that we could have had a problem getting out of Wal-Mart and we needed to get some fuel before we got on the road. As it turned out all of my worries about getting out of the parking lot was for nothing. I was able to back the 5th wheel around and drive right out and down the street about a quarter of a mile was a gas station that was an easy in and out. While I put the fuel in the truck Cheri went in and got us a cup of coffee. We were on the road by 7:00 am and only had 87 mile to travel today. We didn’t want to get into the campground until after noon. So we stopped at a rest area for a while and then went on into Great Falls Wal-Mart and bought some of the things we want to have when we head into Canada. We got to the campground around 12:30 pm. We planned on staying a week because we get an extra day free for staying a week. Well they didn’t have any more weekly sites available. So we only paid for two days and are going to think about what we are going to do next. Nice being retired and doing pretty much what want and not being dictated by someone else. This afternoon we opened all the windows because it was pretty hot and a nice breeze and then headed out looking for a receiver hitch cargo rack to put on the back of the 5th wheel after we take the motorcycle off in Shelby. We are going to put the generator on the cargo rack. We stared out by going to Home Depot and they didn’t have any but I did get some more water filters. The guy at Home Depot made a couple of phone calls for us and found two of cargo carriers, one at Sears for $139.00 and one at Big R for $169.00. So we headed to Sears and when we got there they had no idea what we want and said they never heard of a cargo carrier that went into a receiver hitch. While we were in Sears a rain storm and wind came through and yep the one time we leave the 5th wheel windows open. We went to another store called Big Bear and no luck there for a cargo carrier. We were near Sam’s Club so we went and picked up a couple of things there and had pizza before we left, we really like Sam’s pizza. We stopped a Napa store on the way home and they didn’t have any cargo carriers in stock. So we headed on home to see how wet everything was in the 5th wheel. The first thing I noticed when we pulled in was the grill cover which I had covered the generator was gone. As it turned out the rain and wind came from the side of the 5th wheel where there aren’t any windows. So it was only a little damp where it came in the back window. I went looking for the grill cover and didn’t find it so I went to the office to see if anyone turned one in, no luck there. I asked a couple of people near our 5th wheel if they saw a grill cover come flying by. No luck on that. When I was headed back to the 5th wheel I looked up the street and saw some kind of cover laying on a picnic table and sure enough that was our grill cover. After all of that I had enough excitement for the day. Now we have to decide do we stay here for a week or do we stay at Wal-Mart and Sam’s club or move on north to Shelby. The only thing I know right now is tomorrow we are going to Big R to get the cargo carrier.
