I went outside at 8:00 am
and got the hole dug so the city guys could come and fix the water leak. I wasn’t
sure what time they would be here so I got it done early. As it turned out they
didn’t come until around 2:00 pm. It was cold and a stiff breeze which made it uncomfortable
for us Floridians to be out, I am not sure whether the temp made it to 60
degrees or not. I do know that it is going to be much colder tonight. After
Cheri got her Friday laundry and house work done she took it pretty easy. I did
some computer work and I also took it easy the rest of the day. Late this
afternoon we got a call from Darren wanting me help him figure what it would
cost to take out all the carpeting and install wood floors. Plus the cost of
building a wall in their loft so he can have an office where he can work from
home in a quiet place. We also made a trip to Wal-Mart to pick up medicine and
groceries for Grandma. Then we headed over to Dick and Linda’s place to see
their new master bathroom and all the new hardwood flooring. They did a great
job and looks really nice. Then the four of us went to Terra Healthy Fresh Food
restaurant for dinner. Cheri and I had the ribeye steak special and were pretty
disappointed as it wasn’t that good. After dinner we went back to Dick and
Linda’s to visit and Dick played a few songs on the organ. It was around 9:00
pm when we got home. We were cold so we turned on the electric blanket and crawled
into bed and watch TV.

Cheri was out the door at
8:45 am and drove herself to her hair appointment. I on the other hand was slow
getting around, needed some extra coffee this morning. Cheri was back home
about the time I was ready to get started. I took the Christmas tree down and
got it boxed up for another year. Cheri helped me put away all the decorations.
When that was done it was time for me to head up to Jan’s to blow off the
carport roof and blow out the leaves that had settled in the rain gutters. My
next stop was to get a haircut which I had been trying to get down that last
couple of days. After lunch I took down the outside Christmas lights and worked
on get a water leak fixed on the flower irrigation system. Our park went around
putting back flow preventers on all the outside faucets and left me with a leak
to fix. A few months ago the city came around and changed all the water meters.
I did some checking and found a leak between the water meter and our shutoff
valve. I took a picture and went downtown to the city hall to find out who was responsible
for the repair. They had an employee come out and said that they would fix it. When
they were fixing it they shut off my valve which they wouldn’t have had to do
and now our shutoff valve leaks. They are supposed to come back tomorrow to fix
it. It is under part of the concrete driveway. So I said that I would dig it
out for them and will start on that in the morning. Cheri spent the day doing laundry,
house cleaning, and getting the house back in order after removing the
Christmas decorations.

We took our time getting
around this morning as there wasn’t much time to do anything before it was time
to go to the airport to pick up Jan. Cheri did start taking down Christmas
decorations and I did some computer work. We left for the airport at 10:45 am.
Jan’s flight was about fifteen minutes late coming in. On the way home we
stopped at Bob Evan’s for lunch. We had a table in a more quiet area and was
nice to be able to visit while enjoying our lunch. By the time we got Jan home
and settled in and back home it was 3:00 pm. On the way home from church last
Sunday the low tire alarm came on. So when we got back home I aired up the
right rear tire that was low. Well on the way to the airport the alarm came on
again. So we stopped at a station and air it up to over fifty pounds so I was
sure we could make the trip without a flat. After dropping Cheri off at home I headed
over to Tire Kingdom to have it repaired. I told the manager about having to
air up the tire a couple of time and needed it repaired. So another guy took
the car in and put it on the lift and short time later and took it down and
drove it out in front of the shop. He came in and told me the only thing that
was wrong was that the tire was over inflated. I told him I knew it had a leak
because I had to air up the tire a couple of time. Long story short after
talking to the manager again the car was taken back in the shop and found and
repaired the leak, time to find a new place to have tires repaired as this is
the second time I had trouble there. When I got home Cheri had all the
Christmas decoration down and packed up to put away. I was just too exhausted
and frustrated to do any more today. We passed on supper because of the large
lunch we had today. But did have some more Christmas candy while watch TV.

I got down the Christmas
containers so Cheri could start taking down Christmas decorations and I went
outside to start cutting out pieces for the motorcycle rocker. Then all plans
change as we got a call from Larry and Denise wanting to know it we wanted to
go to Bok Tower with them. Of course we wanted to go so that was the end of
work for the day and to go and have some fun with Larry and Denise. Denise even
packed us a picnic lunch to have after we saw a few things. There were a lot
people there but with the place being so big it didn’t seem like there were
that many. They had a young lady play the bells at 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm. After
walking around the tower area and through the flowers we headed for the
Pinewood Estate. It was all decorated for Christmas as it would have been back
in 1944. Cheri and I have been to Bok Tower and the Pinewood Estate a couple of
times before but always see something new, in fact they have opened up a new
area with an outdoor kitchen and a really big play area for children. We had a
wonderful time and got home at 6:00 pm. We settled in with some Christmas candy
that Nikki sent us and watched a couple more Christmas movies. For more

Will we survived another
Christmas and time to think about taking down all the Christmas decorations.
Cheri was busy cleaning things up in the kitchen and making room in the refrigerator
for all the leftovers. I can see we will be eating leftovers for a few days
which is fine with me. I worked outside on the motorcycle rocker. I had to
recut some of the templets because of a mistake I had made cutting out the
wheels. Then it was time to start sanding on the templets. I used the new spindle
sander and it work really well and made it a lot easier doing the sanding. I
think I now have all the templets ready to use. I set up the router table and
did a test run on routing with the templet which work really well. I also made
a trip to Lowe’s to pick up a trim bit for the router as I have a half inch bit
and also needed a one inch bit. By 3:30 pm I was exhausted and done for the day
Cheri was already in the recliner resting and watching TV. We watched a movie
before having some of the leftovers for supper. Then a couple more movies
before calling it a night. Felt good to get some work done today.

Merry Christmas to all and
pray that you had a wonderful day with family and friends. Early this morning
Cheri was busy making apple and lemon pies to take over to Larry and Denise’s
for supper this evening. I got the ham out and trimmed it down to fit in the
crock pot. We were able to get all of this done before we went to church as
church was later this morning and was only one service and no Sunday school.
Grandma didn’t feel like going to church today. It was a little pass noon when
we got home. We munched on the candy that Nikki sent to us while watching some
more Christmas movies. We left at 2:30 pm to head over to Larry and Denise’s to
have Christmas supper with them along with Grandma and four of their friends.
We all sat around the table visiting and snacking before supper. Larry and
Denise fixed a large baked turkey with dressing, mashed potatoes, broccoli and
cauliflower bake, and meat pie. Cheri and I brought the wine, ham, and pies.
The other people also brought food for supper. We all eat more than we should
have and there was a lot of food left over. After supper there was more
visiting and playing cards. It was around 8:30 pm when we got home. It was a
nice Christmas spending it with friends.

Cheri and I decided that
we were taking the day off and not doing anything. We did make a trip to
Wal-Mart so Cheri could pick up her eye drops. The parking lot was so full that
I dropped Cheri off at the door and drove around until she was ready to be
picked up. Then a stop at Publix’s and Winn Dixie to pick up some things for
dinner on Christmas day with Larry and Denise. We spent the afternoon watching
more Christmas movies we had recorded. Late this afternoon we picked up Larry
& Denise and Grandma and went to church for candle light service. After the
service we dropped Grandma off at home and then we went to Pizza Hut for pizza.
Then back to Larry and Denise’s to play a game of Hand, Knee, and Foot that
Larry and I won. So it was a stress free day.

No pressing plans for
today so we took our time getting around this morning. Although Cheri did get
the bed sheets in the laundry as Friday is the day for that. She also finished
her Friday house cleaning. I did a little clean up in the shop, watered
flowers, and removed all the mum blossoms that had gone by. I hope that they
will bloom again. I also got a call from Grandma this morning that she and the
cleaning lady couldn’t get the shed door unlocked to do laundry. So I went over
and found the only way I could get it on locked was to push on the door while
turning the key, never had to do that before. So I lubed up the lock and tried
it several time and it worked fine. I am not sure what the problem really was. Around
4:30 pm new friends Skip and Joy from our Sunday school class came over to see
our house and to visit before going to Terra Healthy Fresh Food restaurant for
dinner. It wasn’t very busy and nice to visit while eating. They dropped us off
at home after dinner and we settled in the rest of the evening watching more
Christmas movies.

Cheri was busy early getting
the laundry done as her and Denise were going shopping down in Lakeland today.
Which met Larry, Mike, and I were going for a motorcycle ride today. It is the
first true guys ride of the season. We got a late start on the riding season
because Larry and Denise were held up in Canada because of Larry having the
knee replacement. I led the ride today and keep our forenoon riding close to
Brookville because I wanted to have lunch at the Florida Cracker Kitchen. Mike
and Larry hadn’t been there before. From there we rode over to Leesburg with a
stop at the Harley dealer. I had planned to leave at 9:00 am this morning but
because of the colder weather we waited until 10:00 am. It was still cold
enough to wear chaps and winter coat. By noon it was warm enough to ride with a
lighter jacket. We rode 179 miles and got home around 4:30 pm. I had just got
in the house when Cheri came back from shopping. Cheri and Denise had a good
time shopping and came home with a few things she found for a good price. The
evening was spent watch Christmas movies.

I took Grandma for her
doctor appointment for her B-12 shot which didn’t take very long as we were
only a few minutes late getting in. Cheri was busy doing her Wednesday house
work. Cheri and I worked together making some cabbage soup for supper. This
afternoon we worked on getting our cell phone calendars to sink together into
one calendar. Then I got all of the appointments loaded which will be nice as
we both will have the list and won’t need the paper copy any longer. Slowly we
are getting a better understanding what all we can do with these cell phones,
hard to teach an old dog new tricks. The rest of the afternoon was watching
more Christmas movies we had recorded. This evening we picked up Larry and
Denise and headed to Dade City for the Church Street Christmas Walk. We enjoyed
the walk seeing all the homes decorated. We also went into our church for the Christmas
program. It was around 8:45 pm when we arrived back home. Watched another
Christmas movie and called it a night. Oh, the cabbage soup was really good and
have some left for tomorrow.

We were on the road a
little pass 9:00 am heading to Brooksville for Cheri’s eye appointment. Cheri
had been responding really well to the eye drops for her eye and the doctor was
reducing the number of drops she was using. Well things didn’t look good today
and she is pretty much back to square one. So she is back on drops four times a
day. She has to go back in six weeks to see if things are better. On the way
home we stopped at the Florida Cracker Kitchen for lunch. It is our favorite
place to eat when we are in the area. Then we needed to make a stop at Wal-Mart
to pick up a few thing and fill the car with gas. When we got home we were
tired and depressed with the results of Cheri’s eye appointment. We watched a
couple of movies we had recorded. We met Mike & Pam and Ron & Sandy for
dinner at Terra Healthy Fresh Food restaurant. We had a good meal and a good
visit. We also celebrated Mike’s birthday. On the way home we drove around out
park to see all the Christmas lights and decorations.

We haven’t been doing a
lot of work this Christmas season, taking more time to relax and enjoy the
season. Cheri was busy doing paper work today and I went out and did some more
of the motorcycle cutout templet. Now I need that new spindle sander and got an
e-mail that it has been shipped. Later this afternoon we watched a couple
Christmas movies that we recorded. Then we headed to the kitchen where we made
an upside down pineapple cake. We baked it in a cast iron skillet and came out
great. This evening Larry and Denise came over to play Hand, knee, and foot.
Larry and I came up short on the first game but we did win the second game. So
it was good as we all came away winners. It was another great evening spending
time with friends that God provided for us.

Grandma was able to go to
church with us today. We found out today that Pastor Carl will be leaving to be
head pastor for a church in the New Tampa area. We will really miss everything
he has done for our church. But happy that God has called him to spread the
word. Pastor Randy had another great message today about God sending his son to
be with us. Charlie’s Sunday school lesson was from the book of Galatians
4:4-5. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful teacher. I am not sure but
Cheri and I were both exhausted when we got home and decided to just relax in
our recliners and watched a couple of Christmas movies we had recorded. Later
we met Mike and Pam at Walgreens to ride with them over to Ron and Sandy’s open
house Christmas party. What a wonderful time see friends that we hadn’t in a
couple of years. Thank you Ron and Sandy for the wonderful time of being
together. It was a wonderful day spending time with God and friends.

Cheri and I left at 8:30
am to take Jan Hughes to the airport in Tampa. She is flying to Maryland to spend
Christmas with her daughter, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. On the way
home we stopped at Publix’s to get groceries. When we got home Cheri was busy
making scalloped potatoes to take to church this afternoon as Cheri and I are
helping our Sunday school class serve a meal for friends and family of Bob
Longworth who passed away this week. I was thinking about going to Harbor
Freight to get a spindle sander to use on the rocking motorcycle I am trying to
make. I did some internet searching and found a better one at Home Depot which
was cheaper and better than what Harbor Freight had, so I placed an order for
one. I told Cheri that it was her Christmas present to me. Cheri got a text
from Jan telling her that her flight was delayed for two hours and then was
canceled. She said that she was to be leaving on another flight at 4:30 pm. Her
original flight was supposed to leave at noon. We left the house at 3:15 pm and
headed to Dade City for the funeral and meal that we were helping with. It was
around 6:15 pm when we finally got home for the evening.

This morning Cheri was
busy doing her Friday housework and laundry. I left at 9:30 am to make a stop
at Lowe’s to pick up some Black Jack and then on to Jan’s to fix the roof where
she said she had a leak in the sunroom. After she showed me where the leak was
I got my ladder out of the car and proceeded to check out the roof. As it
turned out the rain gutters where full of leaves, twigs, and acorns plus the downspouts
where plugged. Because the water couldn’t get away it had backed up and caused
the leak. So I spent 3 ½ hours cleaning the gutters and unplugging the downspouts.
It was 2:30 pm when I got home and was ready for another shower and was hungry
as I hadn’t taken time for lunch. So after a nice shower and a bowl of soup
Cheri fixed for me, I was ready to relax the rest of the day. It wasn’t long
after I got to the recliner that I was asleep, after an hour and half nap I
felt much better. Cheri was also exhausted and took a nap. Later Cheri got a
call from both Kari and Nikki thanking her for the Christmas presents. Cheri
had made each of them eleven of the quit hangers that I had posted over the
last six months. After supper we settled in for an evening of TV.

I got the computer set up
so Cheri could work on the Christmas letter. While she did the letter I went
out and did some clean up in the shop. A little later Larry and Denise stopped
over to see us. We made plans to go out for supper and that we would pick them
up at 4:00 pm. After lunch Cheri finished her Thursday house work and got the
rest of the Christmas cards ready to send out. I worked on cutting out a couple
of pieces of the motorcycle pattern, a bigger job than I thought it was going
to be. We picked up Larry and Denise at 4:00 pm and headed to Wesley Chapel to
eat at the Asian Buffet across from the Shops at Wiregrass. It was pretty
expensive and the food was cold and not very good. Then we headed over to the Shops
at Wiregrass to watch the 6:00 pm Symphony of Lights. For more information
click on this link: https://www.813area.com/events/shops-at-wiregrass-symphony-in-lights-tree-lighting-celebration.html Then we headed over to do a little shopping at Sam’s Club. We got back home a
little past 8:00 pm and settled in to watch a couple of shows we had recorded
before calling it a night.

Today I was a plumber. The
last few days the faucet in the shower wants to drip after shutting it off. I
decided it was time to fix it. Being there wasn’t any shut off valves I had to
turn off the water to the whole house. I removed the faucet cylinder and went
to Lowes to get a new one and within an hour everything would be back to normal
(so I thought). Well there wasn’t any replacement parts which met I was going
to have to replace the whole faucet. I found a replacement faucet and headed
for home. Cheri removed everything from the cabinet behind the shower as I had
to open up the wall to get to the back side of the faucet. When I went to remove
the old one they had cut too big of an opening into the shower and had added
some wood to make the faucet fit. That met that I was going to have to come up
with something to make the new faucet fit right. I cut a piece of ¼ inch
plywood 8 inches by 8 inches and was able to install that between the faucet
and the back of the shower which made everything fit correctly. Long story
short an hour’s project turned into a five hour project and had no water in the
house for those five hours. Cheri worked all day on Christmas cards and
cleaning up the mess I made replacing the shower faucet. Needless to say I was
done for the day. We spent the evening watching the season’s final Survivor
show. I was surprised on who won the million dollars.

Not a lot going on today. We went over to Skip and Joy’s (Sunday school friends). Skip was having trouble
with cable connections to one of their TV’s. I had said that I would take a
look at it. As it turned out he needs a power bypass splitter to make the
connection work. It is the first time we have been to their place and got the
house tour, very nice. We also had a very nice visit with them. From there we
stopped at the post office as Cheri had some Christmas presents to send out. It
took a while there to getting the presents packed and shipped. It was around
1:00 pm when we got home. Cheri took it easy the rest of the day. I was going
to start cutting out the rocking motorcycle but the spray glue I had wasn’t any
good and I didn’t feel like going after another can today. So I spent time
measuring and figuring out what I need for the fencing project. It is going to
be a pricey project and probably have to wait a while before I tackle it. All
and all it was a good day with no pressure, thank you God.

After breakfast Cheri and
I headed out to Wal-Mart to pick up Grandma’s groceries. I dropped Cheri off at
Beall’s to shop while I delivered Grandma’s groceries. Then I stopped to look
around in Tractor Supply which is next to Beall’s while Cheri was shopping. I
was going to try and find her in Beall’s after I was done with Tractor Supply
but decide to wait in one of the chair by the exit. After a while I got a call
from Cheri saying that she was in the car. She had left through a different
exit. It was almost noon when we got home. After lunch it was time for me to
head to Tampa for my yearly eye appointment. Things went well and no changes.
It was a little past 3:00 pm when I arrived home. Cheri had been working in her
sewing room. This evening we had a Sunday school meeting to lay out plans for
next year. It was a good meeting along with some fellowship. We watched a
little TV when we got home and then called it a night. Thank you God for
another great day.

We picked up Grandma and
took her to church with us today. Pastor Randy’s message was “The Miracle of
Christmas; The Message” from Hebrews 1:1-3. For Sunday school we studied the
book of 1 John. After we dropped off Grandma we went over to see Larry and
Denise who just got here late yesterday. We had a nice long visit getting
caught up on what went on through the summer. Then it was time to play a game
of Hand, Knee, and foot which Larry and I won. Sure is good to have them back
for the winter. We got home around 6:00 pm. I didn't get to watch any football today as the Packers weren't on TV today. We had pizza for supper and then
watch some TV before calling it a night.

I was out of the house by
8:30 am heading to the church to help load tables and chairs for our Sunday
school Christmas party at Sharon and Bill Hunziker’s. But when I got there they
had all the chairs and tables already loaded and were gone so I headed back
home but did stop to fill the car with gas. When I got home Cheri was already
busy in the sewing room. She finished another quilt hanger for summer. I did a
couple of honey do jobs and that was it for my day. Cheri was also busy in the
kitchen making a casserole to take to the Christmas party. We picked up Jan Hughes
at 5:30 pm and took her to the party with us. There were between forty and
fifty people. We had a lot of good food and great fellowship with our Christian
friends. It was a little past 8:30 pm when we arrived back home. We watched a

Cheri and I went out to
the Sunrise restaurant for breakfast this morning. Sure can tell the snowbirds
are back as the place was packed and several people waiting to get in. Although
we didn’t have to wait too long. Cheri and I split a meat lover’s omelet and
both had enough to eat. After we eat we made stops at the Dollar store, Ollie’s,
Beall’s, and Dollar Tree as Cheri was looking for some Christmas things. Then we
headed to Publix’s for groceries and also a stop at Winn Dixey for some things
we couldn’t get at Publix’s. It was a little pass noon when we got home. We
were having Mike & Pam and Ron & Sandy over for supper this evening. So
Cheri went right to work on getting things ready. I helped as much as I could
but think I was in her way more than I helped. Cheri made New England clam
chowder to have along with a garden salad and Philly cheesesteak on hoagie
buns. She also made lemon and apple pies. We had a wonderful time visiting and after
we eat we play a game of Aggravation which the ladies won. These are two
couples that have been an inspiration with our walk with God. Thank you God for

Cheri was busy early this
morning getting the laundry done along with the other Thursday house work she
does. Then she headed to the sewing room working the summer quilt hangers. I spent
time figuring out what materials I am going to use for the rocking motorcycle.
I also did some internet searching on the proper way to use the router and
which direction to move along the board when routing. It was a cool 52 degrees
this morning and had decided to go for a motorcycle ride but waited for it to
warm up some and finally left at 11:00 am. I did a 119 mile ride north of Dade
City and tried to find some roads that I hadn’t been on before. Some of them
turned into dirt or dead ends and had to turn around. It was a good ride and
didn’t made any stops. I was home around 3:00 pm and Cheri was still busy in
the sewing room and said that she was ready to quit for the day. So we settled
in the recliners to watch some shows we had recorded. This evening Ken and Peg
came over to play a game of Hand, Knee, and foot. Cheri and Peg were so far
ahead of Ken and me that we didn’t even play the last hand.

Please take a moment to
remember all the service people that lost their lives in the attack on Pearl
Harbor. It was a time that our country struggled to come together. Today we
once again need to pray for our country and bring God back to make our country
great again. Cheri started another quilt project today something about summer.
I did some work out in the shop sorting screws and getting them in containers
so I know what I actually have. I took the car through the car wash and then
made a stop at Staples to get another copy of the rocking motorcycle plans as I
will need it for part of the pattern. The plan calls for 5/8” plywood and there
is not any available, even did an internet search. Now I have to figure out
what I am going to use. I was going to go for a motorcycle ride this afternoon
but by the time I got everything done it was already 3:00 pm. So I decided the
recliner looked pretty good and Cheri said that she was done for the day. So it
was TV, supper, and then more TV. It was a more relaxing day without any
stress. Thank you God.

Cheri and I headed out at
9:00 am to Ron and Sandy’s. I was going to work on the rollouts that I made for
them. The last time I was there I had trouble installing one of them and needed
to go back and finish the job. While I work on them Cheri and Sandy went
shopping. It took me until 12:30 pm to get the job competed, in the end it
turned out to be a bad slide on one of the rollouts. Then Ron and I headed out
to Tokyo Grill & Sushi to meet Cheri and Sandy for lunch. After lunch Cheri
and I headed for home with a stop at Larry and Denise’s house to check things
out as they will be here Friday or Saturday. We got rain today and check the
rain gauge and received just over ½ inch. It has been at least two months since
our last rain. Things have turned brown from it being so dry. After we got home
I was unloading my tools from the car and see that one of our neighbors screens
had fallen down. It was broke and need to be repaired so I got the parts from
our neighbor and got it repaired and back up. Later this afternoon I decided I needed
a nap and headed to the bedroom. Cheri relaxed and watch some TV. We had soup
for supper because of the big lunch we had. It was a good day and now have all
of my must do projects done.

We got an e-mail yesterday
from Sean who is the son of Ted Carroll who was my best man at our wedding. He
said that Ted and Gaby are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary
in January and wants us to send any pictures we had of them before and after
they got married. So Cheri went back through our old picture albums and found
several pictures. Sure did bring back a lot of old memories that we had
forgotten. I scanned in the pictures and Cheri wrote a nice letter to go along
with the pictures. Sean is going to have a book made for them. It took us all
morning and part of the afternoon to get the project competed. After a late
lunch Cheri went to her sewing room trying to put things together to start a
new project. I told her she should wait until after Christmas. I went out and
got the tools I needed to go over to Ron and Sandy’s tomorrow to work on the reinstall
of the rollout that I made for them. Later this afternoon Cheri was busy in the
kitchen making Lasagna for supper along with garlic French bread.

We picked up Grandma at
8:45 am and headed to church. Pastor Randy’s message today was “The Miracle of
Christmas; the Moment” it was from the book of Galatians 4. Our Sunday school
lesson was “With Anticipation” from the book of 2 Peter 3:3-13, 17-18. The chocolate
gravy and biscuit that Cheri made for the Sunday school class went over well.
Many had never heard of chocolate gravy before. All the biscuits were gone and
only a little bit of the gravy left. Cheri had also taken deviled eggs and they
all disappeared. This afternoon I couldn’t get the Packer game and with the
racing season over I felt like something was missing. Cheri and I did watch a
couple of shows along with a short nap. This evening was our church Christmas
party. We picked up Grandma and then dropped her and Cheri off to get us a
table, then I went and picked up Jan Hughes. We sat with Charlie & Jan and
Skip & Joy. We had an excellent meal along with good fellowship and music. We
stayed a while afterwards to visit with some of the other people. It was a
wonderful evening with church friends and God.

Cheri was busy for most of
the day in her sewing room. I worked outside for a while cleaning up my shop
but really wasn’t in the mood to do it, so I quit before the job was done. Cheri
was telling me about a new quilt shop downtown and wanted to go. So around
11:30 am we headed downtown. Had a hard time getting there as they had a lot of
streets closed off getting ready for the Christmas parade this evening. As it
turned out it wasn’t a new quilt shop, it was one that was outside of town and
moved to a new location. Cheri did buy one piece of material. We had lunch as
soon as we got home. Then Cheri was back in her sewing room. I headed out to
Staples to have plans for a rocking motorcycle enlarged. I am going to try and
build one for our grandson Wyatt. I will have the better part of a year to get
it done so we will see how it goes. I also made a stop at Lowe’s looking and
dreaming about how I am going to enclose my outside work area. Cheri came out
of the sewing room and said that she has another quilt project done. After
supper we watched some TV until 8:00 pm. Then Cheri started making the chocolate
gravy to take to Sunday school tomorrow as she is on the list to finish food
for our class. I settled in to watch the Wisconsin Badger football game against
Penn State. The Badgers did lose the game, just couldn’t stop the big plays.
Cheri went to bed after she got done in the kitchen and I didn’t get to bed
until midnight.

After Cheri got her Friday
laundry done she went for her hair appointment and told me that she was going
to drive herself today. I went right to work on cleaning the rain gutters. A
few weeks ago I had bought one rain gutter guard to keep the leaves out so
after cleaning out the gutters I put it on to see if it was going to work on
our gutters and was a good fit. So when Cheri got home I headed over to Lowe’s
to get seventeen more of the guards. I didn’t have much trouble installing them
except where the gutter braces were. With a little modification things went
well. I also raked up the leaves in the back yard and part of the side yard. I
got five garbage bags full, wanted to do more but ran out of energy. For lunch
today Cheri made chocolate gravy to have over baking powder biscuits. Cheri
heard about this recipe a few days ago and wanted to try it. It really doesn’t
sound that good but I am here to tell you it is very good. Cheri spent the rest
of her day in the sewing room. When I got done outside was ready for the
recliner and a short nap. This evening we were invited over to Ken and Peggy’s
to play Hand, Knee, and Foot. They are still in the process of learning the
game. It was a fun evening and to make it better Ken and I won the game which
was very close.

Hard to believe it is December
already, this year has gone by really fast. Cheri was busy doing her Thursday
laundry this morning. All I got done was some Bible study. We left for a funeral
at 10:45 am. The mother of Kathy our next door neighbor past away. After the
funeral and lunch we headed to Wal-Mart to pick up some groceries and cleaning
supplies that Grandma needed. We managed to get in the wrong checkout line. The
lady in front of us couldn’t get her credit card to work. We finally had to
load everything up and go to another checkout. It was after 2:00 pm when we got
home. I was tired and not feeling like doing any work. So we both sat down in
our recliners to watch some TV but soon we were both asleep. I finally woke up
around 4:00 pm and Cheri was already awake. We watched the new Dolly Parton
movie that Cheri had recorded. It was a very good movie with great acting. Supper
was just a sandwich as we were still full from the funeral lunch.

Cheri was right at it early getting her
Wednesday house work done so she could spend more time in her sewing room. I
worked on installing the rollout drawers which took most all day. I did take a
break before installing the last two drawers to and get a haircut. I was going
to get the car washed but when I left there was a light rain which didn’t
amount to anything but did look like we were going to get more. When I got back
home I finished installing the last two rollout drawers. It was near 4:00 pm
when I got done. Cheri was good about cleaning out the cabinets so I could
install the drawers and then putting everything away again. I am now officially
done with the kitchen. I think I am done with all the house remodeling.

We had to get around this morning and be ready
to leave the house by 8:00 am to take Jan’s daughter Sherry to the airport. I
wasn’t looking forward to the trip as there was going to be a lot of traffic as
people would be heading to work. The trip took about fifteen minutes longer
than normal which wasn’t too bad. On the way back home we stopped at Bob Evans
for breakfast as Jan said that Sherry gave her money to buy our breakfast. It
was 11:30 am when we got home. After Jan left we headed out to shop at Ollie’s
Outlet. It is the first time I have been there. Cheri had gone the day they
opened with Pam. The only thing I found was some coffee and M&M’s for
Cheri. We were back home by 12:30 pm.
Cheri worked all afternoon in her sewing room. I didn’t feel all that great
today, think I was stressed from the trip to the airport. Anyway I spent the
afternoon in the recliner napping and trying to watch a little TV. After supper
we both settled in for an evening of TV.

Cheri was busy putting the final touches on
her Christmas decorations and then she was back in the sewing room working on
another quilt project. I did some Bible study this morning before going out and
installing the slides on the new rollout drawers. I called Ron and Sandy to see
if I could install the two rollout I made for them. So at 1:00 pm Cheri and I
head over to their place. The first rollout wen in without any problems. But I had
all kinds of problems with the second rollout. For some reason I couldn’t get
it to line up properly. I finally gave up, have to go back to the drawing board
to see if I can figure out where I went wrong. On the way home we stopped to
check on Larry and Denise’s house. Being we are having cooler weather there
hasn’t been any air movement in the house so I turned on the heat so there
would be some air movement. I was exhausted when I got home and headed for the
recliner. Jan and Sherry had left some fresh green beans, tomatoes, and some strawberry’s
while we were gone. So Cheri fixed the green beans to go along with the ham she
had planned for supper. She also made us strawberry short cake. This evening
was a late night for me as the Green Bay Packers were playing the Philadelphia Eagles
and the Packers won the game. Cheri went to bed just before half time of the
game. It was 11:30 pm when I crawled into bed.

Grandma went to church with us today. Pastor
Randy’s message was “What Kind of Prayer Brings Revival” using the book of
Daniel 9. Sunday school class study was "On Guard” from 2 Peter 2:1-3 and
Jude 16-25. After Sunday school we all went over to the church where we had
lunch together from all the food that was left over from yesterday. We got a
chance to get to know more of our Sunday school class friends. After we dropped
of Grandma we headed home to relax and rest. We tried to watch some TV but we
soon we were both sleeping. I think I was also going through withdrawal today
because NASCAR racing is over for the season and the Packers don’t play until
tomorrow night. I did watch the last couple of minutes of the Tampa Bay Bucks
game which they won. It looks like they are starting to turn the corner and win
a few games. After our naps we were back to watching TV for the evening. We had
our usual pizza for supper.

It was a busy morning. I helped Cheri put up
one of her Christmas quilts that she hangs every Christmas. She put out a few
more Christmas things and then worked on making a potato casserole to take to
the church for a funeral dinner. I did get the other three rollout drawers
painted, so happy to have that done. Next week I should be able to get them
installed. We left at 11:15 am and headed to church to help set up for the meal
and then cleaned up afterwards. All of the food was furnished by our Sunday
school class except for the meat and buns which were furnished by the church.
On the way home we stopped at Lowe’s as they had a sale on saw blades and I was
in need of some new ones. Also went to Wal-Mart to pick up some groceries and
medicine for Grandma. I think it was around 3:00 pm when we finally got home.
Cheri settled in with I-Pad and then took a nap while I watched the Wisconsin
Badger football game. I was worried that the Badgers were going to get beat but
in the fourth quarter they finally got it together and pulled out the win. No
supper this evening because of the big meal at church.

I was up before 5:00 am not sure why but
couldn’t get into a sound sleep. Cheri pretty much had the same problem. Today
we were busy getting all the Christmas decoration out and putting them up. My
job was to put the tree together and replace some of the lights that had burned
out. While Cheri continued putting up decorations I went out and did more
painting on rollouts. I only have three more left to paint and hope to get them
done tomorrow. This afternoon we headed over to Tractor Supply to pick up a
couple of toys for Wyatt. Then over to Wal-Mart to get a few things for
Grandma. But after getting to the parking lot we decided not to go as the
parking lot was full and knew that it would be really crazy in the store. So we
stopped at Winn Dixie to get the things Cheri needed to make a casserole for a funeral
at our church tomorrow. We were invited over to Mike and Pam’s for supper this
evening. Pam had a lot of leftovers from Thanks Giving. We had a very good meal
along with some Bible study and then two games of cards and three games of Aggravation.
It was a great time with friends.

Wishing everyone a happy Thanks Giving. Our

be very thankful for it. Please take a few minutes to just sit and think about
how God has blessed us. This morning I sat and watch the highlights from the
NASCAR race that I had recorded Sunday. Cheri was busy getting laundry done,
had a lot of it from our trip. Later I went out and put up the Christmas
lights. Grandma wanted to go to Golden Coral for dinner today. So we picked her
up at 1:30 pm, decided to go later so it wouldn’t be so busy. Well was I wrong
when we pulled into the parking lot there were at least 40 people waiting to
get in. So we decided to go to Bob Evans down Tampa way. We did have to wait
about five minutes to get seated as they were also very busy. They had a
special Thanks Giving menu which was ok and got a lot to eat. On the way back
to Grandma’s we went by Golden Coral there was still a long line of people
waiting. We played a couple games of cards with Grandma which Cheri won. I
guess I need her to buy a lottery ticket as she is very lucky. After we got
home we settled in for an evening of TV and I did more napping than watching.

Cheri and I still trying to recover from our
trip to see the kids. Jan arrived here at 11:00 am. We took her car to go and
pick up her daughter (Sherry) who is flying in to spend Thanks Giving with her.
The traffic was heavier than normal going to the airport. On the way out it was
like rush hour traffic with stop and go traffic. It was a sure sign that people
were heading out for the Thanks Giving holiday. On the way home we stopped at
Bob Evan’s for lunch. They have a new menu, $10.00 for a three course meal.
Slow roasted pork with mushroom, green beans, and onions all in a dark gravy
over mashed potatoes. Along with soup or salad, bread, and ice cream sundae for
dessert. It was an excellent meal and I know Cheri and I will be going again.
When we got back to our place Sherry and Jan came in to see the latest projects
we have been working on. They left around 3:00 pm. Cheri and I spent the rest
of the afternoon and evening in our recliners napping and watching TV. No
supper for us as we were both full from Lunch. I got a call from Ron and also
Mike wanting us to meet them for supper this evening but we were too tired and
full from our lunch to go out.

We were up at 5:00 am so we could spend some
time with Wyatt and Brooke before she left for work and to drop Wyatt off at
the day care. Darren left about half hour after Brooke because he only has
about a 10 minute drive. He will be coming back home at 11:30 am to pick up
Nikki and take her to the airport. I did get two more coats of plaster on the ceiling
in the loft. The finish work will have to wait until we make another trip to
see Wyatt. Darren decided he wants to add one more can light in the loft. Last
time we were at Darren and Brooke’s we left at 8:00 am and the traffic was
really bad getting out of Roswell and Atlanta. So this time we waited until
9:30 am and traffic wasn’t as bad getting out of Roswell and moved pretty well
down through Atlanta. After getting out of Atlanta the traffic was light until
we go about 100 miles from home and then had about 60 miles of heavy and slower
moving traffic. It seem to always be the same with heavy traffic around Ocala. It
was also nice to see the fall colors up around Atlanta. It has been a few years
since we have seen any fall colors. It is a wonder thing how God paints the
fall colors. We got home at 4:45 pm, nice to get home before dark. I was
surprised when I walked in the house and found that it was only 59 degrees. It
didn’t take long to get the heat going. We didn’t get to watch Dancing with the
Stars last night so we had four hours of watching this evening. We had pizza
for supper. It is always nice to see the family but is good to be back home.
Thank you God for a good trip to spend time with family.

It was 36 degrees here in Roswell GA, time to
head back to Florida. Today was supposed to be an easy day putting four can
lights and removing the two lights that were in the loft. But things went
really wrong right after I started. I took the first existing light down and
removed the existing electrical box. Now all I have to do is make the hole
larger for the can light. But checking there was a gas pipe right about the electrical
box with no room for the can light. So I move the spot for the new can light it
came right next to the air and heating duct. So of course I had to do the same
with the other existing light so they would be in a row. I did get all new
holes made for the new cans. Next came the problem of fishing the new electrical
wire. It took a while before I was ready to put the cans in. I finally got the
lights in and working. Next I had to close up the existing holes. Had to make a
trip to Home Depot to get the materials to plaster the existing holes. I got
one coat plaster on and hope to get another one in the morning before we leave
for Florida. I guess the last coat of plaster and sanding will have to wait
until we get back up here to see baby Wyatt.

The first thing this morning Darren and I went
to Home Depot to get dust masks to use in the attic while doing the wiring for
the back yard security camera. Also picked up a few additional wiring things we
forgot to get yesterday. It was a long day drilling and trying to fish
electrical wires for the camera. We didn’t get done until 4:00 pm but did get
the camera working. I was really tired and was ready for a hot shower. After I
showered I put the heating pad on my neck and back. Then later Cheri gave me a
very good massage which really helped. We had turkey and homemade dumping’s
that Cheri and Nikki made. Cheri and Nikki spent most of the day taking care of
Wyatt while Brooke went with her mother to see Chris. I guess he is coming home
late this afternoon. This evening we settled in to watch the Green Bay Packers
football game and they played a really bad game. They have so many people hurt
that they just can’t get it together. I am ready to write them off for the
season. It was midnight when Darren and I finally got to bed.

time during the night with Wyatt has he has a cold. The rest of us was up by
6:00 am as we all could hear Wyatt fussing. Around 9:30 am Darren, Cheri and I
headed to the hospital to visit Chris (Brooke’s dad). He had back surgery
yesterday and was in good spirits and with no pain going down his leg. He was
in hopes that he will be going home Sunday. He will have a six to eight week
recovery time. When we got home Brooke had gone shopping for some things for
Wyatt. Nikki put a turkey breast in the cock pot to have for dinner this
evening along with all the Thanksgiving trimmings. Darren and I took a load of
cardboard to the recycle center and then when we got home we worked on
installing security cameras. We got one installed and working in front of the
house. Also got the one mounted in the back of the house. It was a job as I had
to crawl through the attic and insulation. I now have to find a way to get
power to the back camera which means more crawling in the attic. But that is
going to wait until tomorrow as I we beat and not able to do any more. The
Thanks giving meal was really good and will have leftovers for tomorrow. Later
we watched the Wisconsin Badger football game that Darren had recorded and a

We were up by 5:00 am and on the road at 6:20

bad until we got into Atlanta and had a major slow down. All and all we had a
good trip with a stop in Perry Ga for lunch and then there were also two bathroom
stops. Our trip took 7 ½ hours. We were really surprised how much Wyatt has
grown in the last two months. He sure is a happy little baby and always moving
when he is awake. Was good to see everyone and catch up on what has been going
on with everyone. Darren worked from home today so when we got there Darren and
Nikki went to get groceries while Grandma Cheri took care of Wyatt. Brooke didn’t
get home from work until around 4:00 pm. Darren showed me where he wants to
install two security cameras outside. He also wants some can lights installed

the material we needed for the two projects. Looks like there will be work

Cheri was busy doing the rest of the laundry

spent the day painting two of the rollouts. I did some shop cleaning while the
paint dried and was ready for the next coat. It took three coats on the bottoms
and got three coast on the top and inside. I think I will have to do at least
one more coat. I also took the car to have it washed and then filled it with
gas. By 4:30 pm I quit painting as I needed to get things put away. Actually it
didn’t seem like I got much done today but was busy all day. After supper Cheri
and I were busy packing all the things she had laid out for us to take

Cheri fixed us chipped beef gravy over scrambled eggs on toast for supper. New

This was the morning I was dreading as it was
doctor day for Grandma’s knee shot. Once again we were the first appointment at

two weeks. On the way back to Grandma’s we made a stop at the bank. It was near
11:30 am when I finally got home. Cheri cleaned all the floors while I was gone
and found her in the sewing room when I got home. We had an early lunch and
then I went out and detailed the inside of the car, something that should have
been done a long time ago. Funny how we keep putting off the things we really
don’t like to do and car detailing is close to the top of my list. I was going
to do some sanding on the rollouts but was exhausted after getting the car
done. While Cheri worked in the sewing room I decided to take a nap. After
about a half hour I got a robocall that woke me out of a sound sleep. So that
was the end of a good nap and couldn’t get back to sleep. I called Ron and
Sandy to see how their trip to California went. He said that he just got out of
the doctor’s office and is asthma is bad again and was on his way to pick up

final sanding done on five of them and got the other three ready for sanding. I
also got the new windshield wiper installed which I bought yesterday. A few
weeks ago Ken Burdell came by to talk to me about a Veterans club he wants to
start here in the park. We visited for a while and seemed to hit off. So early
this afternoon I went over to see about inviting him and his wife Peggy over to
play cards Tuesday or Wednesday night. Peggy wasn’t home and said that he would

We also did the Glass Studio & Hot Shop.
The studio was a collection of all the different things that were made in the

blowing which was very interesting. Next we walked through the Morean Art center
to see many things made by different artists. Our next stop was the Haslam’s
Book Store which has been in existence for over sixty years. Our next stop was Mazzaro’s
Italian Market. This is the second time Cheri and I have been to these places
but was fun doing it again with Mike and Pam as they had never been before.
Then Mike and Pam took us to Sloppy Joe’s on the gulf which was a place Cheri
and I have never been to. While we eat dinner we were able to watch all the
kite’s flying from the beach. I was able to count 18 of them flying a one time.
It was around 6:30 pm when we got back home. What a wonderful relaxing day it was

Yesterday
Mike asked me if I want to go to Harbor Freight today, of course I couldn’t say
no to that. So Mike picked me up at 9:00 am and Cheri said that I could shop-
shop-shop and I told her I was only going for moral support, she said I know
better. Mike wanted to get an air compressor along with the hose and fittings. All
I needed was to get some sandpaper. We were back home 10:45 am. When I came
into the house I found Cheri in her sewing room. She said that she couldn’t get
her cell phone to turn on. So I checked it out and even removed the battery and
reinstalled it with no luck. So we headed for the Sprint store to have them fix
it. Well it turned out the only fix was a new phone (not happy). Her phone was
only a year and a half old but was told it was out of warranty and couldn’t be
fixed. We spent a lot of time getting her a new cell phone and figuring out a
new plan that would work better for us and maybe in the end our payment won’t
go up much. When we got home it was too late to start anything plus we hadn’t
had any lunch. I needed to rest for a while and Cheri was busy installing all
the contacts she lost in the old phone. We left the house at 4:00 pm and headed
to church to ride the bus to see Tony Evans and music by Selah at Idlewild
Baptist Church in Lutz. I did hear someone say that the church holds 5,000 and
every seat was filled as we were told that the event was sold out. For me the acoustics
weren’t very good and wasn’t able to enjoy the music. But not much trouble
hearing Tony Evans speak as he has a voice that is much easier for me to hear.
He had a great message on how to bring our country back together again. It was
a little past 11:00 pm when we finally got home. Thank you God for Tony Evans.

Mike
picked me up at 8:00 am and we went out for breakfast at the Breakfast Station.
It has been a couple years since I have been there and they do have a good
breakfast. After breakfast we headed over to Lowe’s to get the plywood I need
to finish the rollout drawers. After Mike dropped me off with the plywood Cheri
and I headed out to the Patriot flea market. It just opened last week for the
season. I didn’t find anything I needed but Cheri found watch and also got some
fresh vegetables. When we got home Cheri finished the laundry she had started
and then went to the sewing room. I headed out to work on the rollout drawers.
I got the plywood cut and finished assembling the last three drawers. When I got
done with that I didn’t feel like doing anymore for the day. Cheri also said
that she had enough for the day. So we settled in to do some Bible study and
watch some TV. Please pray to bring our country together to make us strong and
to be a God fearing nation again.

We
were really surprised when we found out the results of the election. I found
myself spending a lot of time today watching the news and watching a lot of
news outlets eating crow. Now is the time for all of us to come together and
make our country strong and something to be proud of again. There is a new
store in town called Ollie’s Outlet which is a little like Big Lots. Well today
was the grand opening and Pam and Cheri went which was a place I wouldn’t want
to have been. I don’t like to fight through crowds. I did get the five rollouts
done with the first round of rough sanding. I need to do some wood filler and
then a final sanding before they will be ready for paint. I did make a trip to
Lowe’s to see if they have the plywood in stock that I need to finish the other
three rollouts. I found that they did in deed have a new shipment. So I called
Mike to see about him hauling a sheet home for me, made plans to go out for
breakfast in the morning and then to get the plywood. Cheri spent the afternoon
in her sewing room. I could hear her talking to herself, something must not be
going right. We got a call from Ron and Sandy wanting to meet us at Tokyo Grill
& Sushi for supper. We had a nice
visit while eating and of course the election was the main topic. We were back
home a little before 7:00 pm and ready to settle in for an evening of TV.

Today
I took Grandma for her knee appointment and just like last week we had a 9:30
am appointment and didn’t see the doctor until 10:40 am and we were the doctor’s
first appointment. It is so frustrating that the doctor can’t start on time and
we still have one more appointment with this doctor next week. After I was done
with Grandma I headed home to pick up Cheri so we could go and vote. We got
right in with no waiting to vote. After voting we headed over to check out
Larry and Denise’s house and things were good. Then we headed toward Wesley
Chapel and stop on the way to have lunch at Tokyo Grill & Sushi, a very
good meal for a reasonable price. I dropped Cheri off so she could shop while I
got the car serviced. While the car was being serviced I checked out the new
Honda Ridgeline pickup. I have been excited about seeing one. After checking it
out it is something that wouldn’t work for what I would like to do. It was 2:30
pm when I got back to pick up Cheri and then went the theater that was is close
by to see the movie Hacksaw Ridge. The movie has a lot of emotions and a man
who struggles with his strong Faith. If you do go, make sure you stay and watch
after the movie ends as there are updates. After the movie we stopped at
Wal-Mart and picked up groceries for Grandma and then stopped by her place to
deliver them. It was after 7:00 pm when we got there and she had the door
locked and the drapes close for the night. We got her groceries put away and
headed for home. It was 7:30 pm and had some snacks for our supper while
watching TV.

I was slow getting around
this morning not feeling like doing anything today, just tired. I think Cheri
felt pretty much the same way. We both spent most of the morning in Bible study
preparing for Bible study this evening with Mike and Pam. Cheri did go to her
sewing room to work on a couple of new projects. I continued in Bible study
from the message at church yesterday. This afternoon we spent time on the
computer trying to find some Easter fabric that Cheri wants for one of her
projects she is working on. But didn’t find anything that she wanted. Later
this afternoon we went to Tampa for an appointment and things went well and
even got in on time and didn’t have to wait. When we got home we had time to
rest for half an hour before heading to Mike and Pam’s for supper and Bible
study. We are using Dr. Larry Ollison book “Holy Spirit”. Studying the nine
gifts of the spirit. Mike and Pam are so good at breaking things down so we can
understand it. Thank you for our time together. The rest of the evening was
spent watching Dancing with the Stars. Once again Cheri told me who was going
to get voted off before the show started. I think she could be a judge. I
always stay up and watch it with her or should say I try to stay awake and
watch it.

Grandma didn’t go to
church with us this morning as there wouldn’t be any message notes and no
Sunday school today. We had a guest speaker (Byron Paulus) from Life Action Ministries.
It was a revival on prayer and he preached a different message for each service
which is why there wasn’t any Sunday school today. It was very interesting, I
really wish I could retain more of what I heard today. On the way home we
stopped to check on Grandma and she said that she was doing better. It was a frustrating
afternoon for me as the NACAR race was in a rain delay and all of a sudden they
went to the evening news and what was coming on for the evening never letting
us know which channel race was moving to. I had to do some internet searching
to find out what channel it was. I wasn’t able to record all of it because the
channel lineup for it showed some other program. While I was recording part of
it I turned to watch the Green Bay Packer football game. Once again the Packers
forgot to show up, a very poor showing and got beat. In between the car race
and the football we did watch a few of other shows we had recorded. The race finally
got started around 6:30 pm and didn’t get over until 11:30 pm. Cheri finally gave
up around 9:30 pm and went to bed.

Linda picked up Cheri at
9:00 am and headed to church in Dade City to meet up with other Sunday school
ladies. They had a bus trip going to Plant City to eat at Fred’s and then to
Southern Hospitality to shop. She got home around 3:15 pm and had a good time.
I worked on the rollouts and got two more assembled. I would have had three
done but made another wrong cut and now I need to go to Lowe’s to get another sheet
of plywood. I also worked on the motorcycle as the engine check light was
coming on. I did an internet search to see how to check the computer codes.
After learning how to check the codes I went out and found the code that was
causing the engine light to come on. Then it was back in the house to check out
the code on the computer and it gave me a list of things that could be the
cause. A couple of the faults could be loose spark plug wire or spark plugs not
gaped right. I had changed the spark plugs and wondered if that was the
problem. After checking I found a spark plug wire that was loose. So I am
pretty sure that the problem will be solved, won’t know until I take the nest
ride. Next I went and got a haircut which I should have done a week or so ago.
Then over to Lowe’s to check and see if they had any of the plywood I needed
and found that they are out of it right now so will have to wait for them to
get more in. When I got back home I sat down and started watching the Badger
football game I was recording. Later after Cheri got home we made a trip to
Dade City for the car show. It was a good show but not a lot of cars, I still
found a couple that I would like to have brought home. We were back home around
5:00 pm. Cheri fixed us a couple more hoagie sandwiches for supper. It was a
great day God made for us.

This morning I had a
different idea about how to install the rollout drawers that Ron and Sandy’s so
I took the motorcycle for a ride over to their place to get some measurements.
While I was doing that Cheri drove over to Hobby Lobby to do some shopping. She
is looking for some Easter material and shamrocks for her next projects. She
came home disappointed that she couldn’t find what she wanted. I really didn’t
feel like doing any work out in the shop so I asked her if she wanted to go for
a ride. There is a new home décor store in Lutz that she has been wanting to
got to so I told her I would take her today. Our first stop was a quilt shop in
Wesley Chapel. Next was the home décor store. It was very interesting, had a
lot of new and old unusual things. Then we stopped at a quilt shop that Cheri
has never been to before. She did find a templet that she has been looking for
and was happy to get it. Our last stop was Sam’s Club. I wanted to get some
ribs but didn’t have any today. That was the only thing I wanted to get but we
still where able to spend $100. It was around 4:00 pm when we got back home.
Cheri fixed us hoagie sandwiches for supper. It was another evening of TV with
popcorn and M&M’s for snacks.

I took Grandma for her
10:00 am doctor appointment. I was dreading this appointment as we are always very
late getting in and have to wait a long time for the doctor. Well I was shocked
because we only wait five minutes pass our appointment time before be taken
back to the examination room and within a few minutes the doctor came in. Long
story short Grandma got a very good report and I was back home by 11:00 am.
Cheri was busy doing her Thursday house work and laundry while I was home.
After lunch I went out and adjusted the headlight on the motorcycle. Mike had
told me from our last ride that he could see my driving light but not the
headlight that was too low. So I adjusted it up higher to be the same as the
driving lights. On our next ride I will find out if I got it high enough. I
wasn’t in the mood to doing any wood working today so we made a trip to
Wal-Mart to pick up some ointment cream that Grandma needed and some damp-rids
for Larry and Denice’s house. Then went over to Larry and Denice’s house to
change out the damp-rids. I also readjusted the their thermostat to lower temp
so the air conditioner could run a little more now that we have cooler weather.
Need to keep the air circulating so there won’t be any mold. Stopped by Grandma’s to give her the ointment
cream and give her the report from the CAT scan she had yesterday that it didn’t
show any problems. This evening we were invited over to Ron and Sandy’s for
supper. It was wonderful evening spent with good Christian friends.

I had to get around this
morning as Grandma had to be at the hospital at 8:45 am for a CAT scan. I was
really surprised how quickly things got done. We only waited a few minutes
before they called her to verify her paper work and then took her back right
away. She was all done by 9:15 am and I was back home by 9:45 am. Cheri was on
the phone with Pam. I had another cup of coffee and headed out to work on
rollouts. When I came in for lunch Cheri was in her sewing room. After lunch I continued
working on rollouts. It wasn’t the best day as I made a couple of mistakes on
cutting the drawer bottoms. I did get three of them assembled before I quit for
the day. Late this afternoon I took Cheri for her hair appointment that was
supposed to be this morning but had to change it because of Grandma’s
appointment. When we got home we rested for a bit before Cheri fixed us supper.
We finished the evening watch some shows we had recorded. Cheri finished another
quilt hanging today and will post a picture of it.

I feel like I am on a slippery
downhill slope as the months seem to pass faster and faster. Seems like it was
just the first of Oct the other day. I took Grandma for her 9:30 am knee doctor
appointment. We waited for forty minutes before we were call back to the examination
room and then we waited another forty minutes for the doctor. The worst part of
it was we were the doctor’s first patient and the doctor didn’t arrive until
10:30 am. It seems like every time we see this doctor we have to wait a long
time. On the way back to Grandma’s we stopped at the hospital to get the drink
that Grandma has to drink tonight and in the morning for a CAT scan she is
having at 9:00 am tomorrow. After all was said and done it was 11:30 am when I
got home. Cheri had her Tuesday house work done and was working in her sewing
room. After lunch I went out and worked on the new rollout drawers. I got all 64
pocket holes drilled and laminate on the edges of two drawers. It was 3:00 pm
when I got done and too late to get the saws out to cut out the bottoms. Plus I
was tired and ready to relax and take a nap in the recliner. Cheri was already
done and watching some old episodes of Fixer upper. After supper we settled in
to watch several shows we had recorded.

There wasn’t any hurry to
get around this morning because I wasn’t going to get any work done today. I
did spend some time on the computer before Cheri and I took Grandma for her
11:00 am doctor’s appointment. Her old doctor left the clinic so she was seeing
a new doctor which took a lot longer because there were a lot of question that
had to be answered. It was around 12:30 pm when we got back home to have lunch.
After lunch it was time to take Cheri for her appointment. She was late getting
in and then we sat in the office and waited for over an hour before the doctor
came in. On the way home we were in rush hour traffic which took a little
longer. We made a stop at Walgreens to get the second pneumonia shot
and flu shot. It was around 5:30 pm when we finally got home. After supper we
settled in to watch Dancing with the Stars. Cheri also picked the couple that
was going to get voted off.
