Dennis and I were able to connect up and walk together this morning. I wasn’t able to go to the Tuesday morning breakfast and Bible study. I left the house at 7:30 am for my eye appointment at the VA in Tampa. I had a pretty good report but have to go back and have my drooping eyebrow raised as it making my eyelid droop down over my eye. It was around 11:00 am when I got home. I rested until lunch time. After lunch I went to Donna’s to put the garbage can in the shed. Then to Sun State to find out why no one has been working on the carport. They are still waiting for the building permit. When he was here last week he thought it had arrived but wasn’t one that came in. So we are in a waiting mode. I made a stop at Lowe’s for a new saw blade to use on cutting siding which I will be starting tomorrow. I also stopped to see if the VA office here is open. I found out that they are open now and can get my labs done here. When I got home I started loading the truck for tomorrow and got interrupted by a rain storm. An hour later I went out and finished up loading the truck and started raining again. I checked the rain gauge this morning and we received three inches. Cheri spent her day doing the Tuesday house work and then reading her novel. We had leftover spaghetti for supper. This evening we watched a movie that I napped through and woke up to watch some home improvement and log home buying. Thank you God for a blessed day.

I headed out for my morning walk and there was light rain coming down. So I cancelled the walk. With no walk this morning I spent more time in Bible study and reading my novel. The people that power wash our house are coming today so I went out and covered tool and saws with a tarp as there is a lot of over spray from the power washer. Cheri had an appointment this morning so I hung around in case the power washers came early. When Cheri got home I went over to Donna’s to clean, vacuum the floors and carpet from the work I have done. When I got home at noon the power washers were here. After lunch and the power washing was done I went out and reinstalled the doorbell button and temperature probes. I was going to remove the tarps and it started to rain again so that will wait until tomorrow. The rest of the afternoon was spent in front of the TV, mostly napping for me as I did try to do some reading. Cheri fixed us spaghetti and English muffin with garlic butter for supper. This evening we watched some home improvement shows and a couple of the summer series. Being a new week I thought the carport guys would be here but that didn’t happen which was a good thing because of the power washing. Thank God for guiding through another day keeping us healthy and safe.

Dennis and I got our timing right this morning as we were able to walk together. It was a long walk as I was feeling a little under the weather. When it came time for church I still wasn’t feeling that good so decided to stay home. I went back to bed at 8:00 am and didn’t get up until 11:00 am, feeling a little better. So at 11:30 am we stream our Sunday school lesson. After the Sunday school lesson Cheri got the Sunday pizza ready for us. Then we streamed the church service. After the church service we settled in to watch some movies which I napped through. Later I went back to bed and watched the Tampa Bay Buccaneers football game. When that was over I watched some of the NASCAR race until 8:00 pm when the Green Bay Packer game started. In between all of the games Cheri and I had an English muffin with peanut butter for supper. Cheri came to bed around 9:00 pm. I continued to watch the game until half time and then called it a night. Thank you God for us being able to be part of the Sunday school and church service from home.

Dennis and I had our timing off and didn’t get to walk together this morning. I did head out to the Hole in One donut shop at 6:45 am for our usual Saturday morning breakfast. But today I couldn’t get any cinnamon rolls as they weren.t ready. So I got a couple of Long Johns which were OK but not as good as the cinnamon rolls. I am really not sure what Cheri did today but spent time in her sewing room and did some reading. I unloaded the truck this morning and went to Lowe’s to pick up the two boxes of siding to take over to Tampa Bay country. One box was completely destroyed and had to be shrink wrapped to the good box to keep it from falling out of the truck. Each box is 12 feet long and my truck box is only 8 feet long with the tail gate down. We put an old palate under the back sticking out the back of the tail gate. Good thing I had a lot of help loading it. But when I got the Tampa Bay country I didn’t have anyone to help unload it. I did a lot of struggling but finally got it off the truck and in the garage. I did back the truck into the garage and that helped. I had taking my phone off as it was in the way for unloading. I was done and home by noon and told Cheri I was done for the day. I showered and got ready for lunch and went to get my phone and couldn’t find it and then realized I left it in Tampa Bay Country. No one was home when I unloaded the siding and I locked up the doors when I left. So I had to wait for them to get home. Later Cheri rode with me to pick it up and then on the way home we stopped at Jersey Mike’s for subs to have for supper. This evening I slept through the movie we were watching and woke up to watch a Date Line before calling it a night. Thank you God for helping us through this day.

Well no one showed up to work on the carport again today and no phone call. I finished my work over at Donna’s on the inside of her house except for doing some cleaning where I did my work. I still have some work on the roof of her carport and clean the rain gutters. It took me until noon to get all of my tools home. I unloaded some of stuff I didn’t need for this afternoon. I went over to Ron and Sandy’s to build and install a counter top extension. Then I installed lift cylinders to two overhead cabinet doors. Sandy wasn’t able to hold the door open and get out the things she wanted. It was 6:00 pm when I got home as it took me longer than I thought it would. I had to do some modifications on the cabinets in order to install the cylinders. After I got cleaned up Cheri had supper ready for us (ribeye steak and baked potato). It was after 7:00 pm before we were ready for the recliners. We got a call from Larry and Denise at 8:00 pm. It was good to get caught up on what they have been doing. As of right now they may be able to come down after the first of next year. We watched an episode of Date Line and called it a night. Thank you God for a blessed day. Once again I forgot to take pictures of the counter top extension and the cabinet door lifts.

Once again no one showed up to work on the carport and no call to let me know what is going on. I had a 9:00 am appointment with the neighbor on their kitchen project. I showed them what else they could remove and they have made a change in their plans which will make it easier for me. They are ready for me to do some framing and relocating some electrical. I also got call from the lady in Tampa Bay country that the house siding is ready to be picked up at Lowe’s, plan on doing that Saturday. I worked over at Donna’s today and got the laundry room done except for a little touchup painting. There is a couple of other minor things that need to be done and hope to get them done tomorrow. Cheri continued doing some fall cleaning, laundry, and waiting for the carport guys. She called me at 2:00 pm and no one had showed up and said that she was going for groceries. We had roasted chicken and corn on the cob for supper. This evening we watched a Hallmark movie we had recorded (which I napped through) and an episode of Building off the Grid. Thank you God for guiding us through this day and keeping healthy and safe from the virus.

Dennis and I didn’t get our timing right to walk together this morning. Only got to talk when we met each other on the walk. Yesterday the guys that are working on the carport said they would be here this morning. So I got the car and truck moved out of the way for them to work and got the gates unlocked for them. While waiting for them to come I did some checking on the electrical circuit that’s not working in the shed. What I did check looks good and now will have to crawl under the house to do more checking. I didn’t feel like doing that today. I did some paper work. Well no one showed up for the carport work and no phone call from them. So after lunch I went to work over at Donna’s, another day and a half I should be done with the laundry room. Cheri started laundry this morning and I wondered why she was doing it on Wednesday. She said that she thought it was Thursday. She continued cleaning in her sewing room and doing a fall craft project. I was too tire this evening to make it to church and will watch the service on line when I can stay awake for it. Cheri fixed us the leftover brats and added some fries along with the chocolate chip cookies she made today. I don’t remember what was on TV this evening all I know is I napped through everything. Thank you God for a blessed day.

I meet Dennis this morning and able to walk together. The walk time goes by much faster when you have someone to talk to. I left the house at 6:45 am for the accountability group breakfast and Bible study. I didn’t stop at Burger King this morning as I have a dentist appointment at 9:00 am and would be going there from our morning meeting. I did bring coffee with me from home. Charlie our group leader was gone on vacation. So I was the leader today, something I hadn’t done before. The dentist appointment didn’t go as well as I would have liked. I have to have a new crown which I am not happy about. Cheri got one last year and it was $950 and now this year they are $1700. I asked why so much and was told well prices do go up. I haven’t had an income raise in 15 years. Cheri got to the dentist office just has I was ready to leave, first time I saw her today. When Cheri got home she told me she also has to have a new crown. There goes all of the money we were trying to save for a vacation. The guys and their boss from Sun State were supposed to come around 11:00 am. By 12:30 pm they weren’t here and couldn’t wait any longer so I headed over to Donna’s to work. A short time later Cheri called me and said they were here, so I headed back home. They finally came up with a plan that will work for my truck. They are going to raise the existing roof and change the roof slope which will work ok. So they are coming tomorrow morning to get started. I went back to Donna’s working on the wall extension and shelf behind the washer and dryer. We had brats and leftover German potato salad for supper. This evening we went to church to hear the quest speaker that delivered the message Sunday. It was a good message but had a hard time taking it all in. Thank you God for a blessed day and learning more about your word.

Dennis and I were able to hook up on our morning walk, nice to have someone to talk with on the walk. Yep and every time we walk we are able to fix the world problems. Cheri was busy cleaning in her sewing room and putting out new fall decorations. This morning I was outside working on Ron and Sandy’s counter extension when the guys showed up to do the new carport roof. After lunch I went over to Donna’s to finish the platform front and then got the dryer set on the platform so I could figure out the wall extension to cover the washing machine water and drain and a self above it. I was on my way to Lowe’s when I got a call from Cheri wanting me to come home as there is a problem with the carport roof extension. When this was in the planning stage I told them that it had to be high enough for my truck to fit under it. Well as it turns out they now tell me that the truck will not fit unless I park the truck next to the house and then the car under the new part, this was something I didn’t want because we use the car much more than the truck. So they are coming back tomorrow with some new plans. I finally got to Lowe’s to pick up the materials for Donna’s. When I got home Cheri was making hot German potato salad along with hot wings for supper, all very good. At 6:30 pm we went over to visit our next door neighbors Mike and Kathy. Kathy isn’t doing well and has hospice coming in twice a week to help her. It was good to see them as it has been a long time since we were together. Thank you God for guiding us through and another day keeping us healthy and safe.

We had a quest speaker in church this morning his message was from 1 Peter chapter 2. Our Sunday school lesson was titled “God Promises” from Isaiah 7:7-17. Since God is sovereign, His people can trust His promises. Sunday school ran late and didn’t get home until after 1:00 pm. Cheri put the pizza in the oven for our late lunch. I settled in to watch the rest of the NASCAR race that I couldn’t stay awake for last night. After the race I made a trip to Lowe’s to pick up materials for Ron and Sandy’s camper project. When I go home I watched the rest of the Bucks football game. They actually looked pretty good and won the game. I watched it in the bedroom as Cheri was watching a movie in the living room. This evening we watched a couple of Hallmark movies we had recorded. Later in the evening we had an English muffin with peanut butter and a chocolate chip cookie. Thank you God for time spent with you and church friends.

I headed out at 6:45 am to get our Saturday morning breakfast sandwich and cinnamon rolls at the Hole in One donut shop. Cheri has been busy sorting through books that we don’t need any longer to be taking to the Good Will store. She also cleaned out a cabinet in the bathroom that has all our bandages and ointments, a lot of stuff too old to use anymore. I went out to Ron and Sandy’s this morning. Ron wants me to make drop down counter extension in their camper. Plus add some lift pistons to a couple of overhead cabinet doors. On the way home I stopped and bought a watermelon which turned out to be bad, seem like I always have trouble finding a good melon. When I got home I did an internet search for the lift pistons and dropdown shelf hardware and order some that I think will work. After lunch I went over to Donna’s and installed the washer and dryer platform that I cut out yesterday. I still have to do the face trim and it will be done. I by 3:00 pm I was done for the day. After a shower I did some computer work and then joined Cheri to watch some TV shows before supper. We had the last of the beef stroganoff and peach cobbler for supper. I had a hard time staying awake for TV this evening, couldn’t find anything good to watch. Thank you God for a blessed day.

Cheri was busy with the Friday laundry. I headed out and went through the lumber I have here to see if I had what I needed to build the washer and dryer platform for Donna. I did need a couple of things so Cheri and I headed over to Lowe’s. I got what I needed and Cheri picked up some paint. She wants to start painting the living room. She plans on starting on one wall that will be a feature wall. When we got home I went to work on cutting out all the materials for the platform. It was nice working on it here at home as I was able to take several breaks for water and to get out of the heat for a bit. Things went well and was done and all cleaned up by 4:00 pm. I even got the platform loaded in the truck. I after a shower and getting cleaned up I joined Cheri. We had leftover beef stroganoff for supper and some more peach cobbler for dessert. It was a normal evening of TV watching all different kind of shows, ready for the fall season to start. Thank you God for guiding us through this day and keeping us healthy and safe. I forgot to take pictures of my work today.

Cheri was busy with the Thursday laundry this morning. I had a 9:00 am appointment to repair a doorbell, turned out to be the battery in the doorbell switch. When I got done I sat and visited with Lou for a while. Then it was on to Donna’s to lay the flooring in the laundry room. I was done at 12:30 pm and headed home for lunch. I didn’t even put my saws away as I needed to rest and have lunch. After lunch I went and picked up my saws and brought them home. So by 2:00 pm I was done for the day. I just don’t have the energy or strength to do a whole days work anymore. Cheri was busy in the kitchen putting things together for beef stroganoff to have for supper. She also made a peach cobbler for dessert. After my shower I headed to my recliner where in a short time I was napping. Cheri was reading her novel. Much later we turned on the TV. We watched several different shows we had recorded. I did fix a bag of popcorn to have for a snack. Thank you God for a blessed day.

I got to see Dennis on my walk this morning. But only in passing as our timing was off to walk together. I had an appointment at 9:00 am in another park for church friends (Jim & Linda) and Cheri was invited along so she and Linda could visit while I was working. Although we had a cup of coffee and a visit together before I started work. Nothing that was hard to do, just honey do jobs. I disconnected the power to an intercom system that didn’t work anymore and was doing a clicking sound. I repaired a living room blind, blew out the dryer vent, and fixed garage lights. It was 11:30 am when we got home. We just finished lunch when the doorbell rang. Some people just bought the house down the street from us and had three screw holes in the shed roof. So I went down and sealed them with silicone. Then I went over to Donna’s to put a second coat of paint on the crown molding. I cleaned out the laundry room and now is ready for the flooring. It was getting late in the afternoon and didn’t feel like getting the saws out to do any flooring. So I headed back home. Cheri had gone out grocery shopping. After my shower I joined Cheri as she was resting and reading her novel. I continued reading the novel I started last week and finished it this afternoon. The name of the book is “Left Behind” by Tim LaHaye. A friend here in our park gave it to me to read. She said that it was one in a series of 12 books. I went over to her place and told her how much I enjoyed the book and ask her if it was ok to let Cheri read it. She had all the books in the series but two and gave them to me as a gift. So when I got home I got on line and ordered the two missing books. For supper we had the rest of the leftover pork roast. Cheri fixed it in BQ sauce and had it on toast. This evening we watched the Wednesday evening church service. We were going to be studying the book of Daniel but Pastor Randy decided to wait and have a prayer service this evening. We watched an episode Life below Zero and an episode of Life below Zero the Next Generation. Thank you God for time spent with church friends today and keeping us healthy and safe from the virus.

When I took the cabbage out this morning it was sprinkling and decided to go ahead and do my morning walk taking the umbrella with me, never had to use it. I didn’t see Denis on my walk this morning. I left the house at 6:45 am heading to Dade City for my Tuesday morning accountability group breakfast and Bible study. There were six of us this morning. Cheri said that she was taking a break from working in her sewing room After getting her Tuesday housework done she settled in with the novel she is reading. I went over to the neighbors to help them remove some cabinet that they were going to do to help me in their kitchen remodel. I think I will be doing more than they said that I would have to do. After that I went over to Donna’s to work. I got the cabinets secured to the wall, install crown molding, and some touchup painting. Denis came over to check on my cabinet project and said that he didn’t waIk this morning because he thought it was going to rain more. I was done for the day by 2:30 pm. It was good to be home early. After my shower I headed to the recliner and spent time reading the novel I started last week. We had some of the left over roast pork, mashed potatoes, and gravy. Plus a couple of chocolate chip cookies. This evening Cheri watched a movie that I slept through and then I woke up to watch Without a Trace. Thank you God for time spent with you and the accountability group.
Cabinets are done.

I did see Denis on my morning walk but didn’t connect to walk together. I had a 10:20 am appointment in Tampa at the VA for my leg. So took my time getting around this morning. I even got do some reading in the novel. I did leave for my appointment at 9:00 am. Never know how bad the traffic is going to be but things went really well and even hit all the stop and go lights green. So I had an extra 45 minutes to read my novel. Cheri was busy with her Monday housework and then in her sewing room. She finished the quilt hanger project today. I was back home by 11:00 am so rested until lunch and then this afternoon I went over to Donna’s to work a couple of hours. I spent a lot of time trying to get all the cabinet doors lined up and finally got that done. I made a trip to Lowe’s for a couple things I still needed for the cabinets. I was done and home by 3:00 pm. I headed for the shower and Lefty has been retired as I can now unwrap my leg before showering and rewrap it after showering. Cheri had a pork roast going in the new crockpot today to have for supper along with mashed potatoes and gravy, it was very good. We watched Renovation Inc. this evening. Later Darren worked on our computer this evening as it has been really slow and did run into some problems he had to solve. Sure glad that he can take care of all my computer problems. After we went to bed we did watch Expedition to the Edge. Thank you God for guiding us through this day and keeping us healthy.

We left the house at 9:20 am heading to Dade City for church. Pastor Randy was back and good to have deliver the message this morning. It was titled “Staying the Course” from 2 Peter 1:5-9. Our Sunday school lesson was titled “God Sends” from Isaiah 6:1-13. God calls His people to recognize and declare His sovereign purposes. It looked like rain all day but only got a few sprinkles. Last Friday I ordered Cheri a new crockpot as her old one was cracked and no longer able to use it as it would leak. I ordered it through Amazon and was told it would be delivered between 10/5 and 10/10. Well when we got home from church this morning there was a big box sitting at our door. It was a Wal-Mart box and couldn’t figure it out because we didn’t order anything from Wal-Mart. It had my name and address on the box. So when I opened it up it was the crockpot I ordered on Friday. Strange some ordered from Amazon would come in a Wal-Mart box. Cheri fixed pizza for us when we got home from church and ate it in front of the TV while watching the rest of the NASCAR race. After that we settled in to watch a movie and both of us went to sleep. So I put it on hold and both had an hour’s long nap. We also watched 20-20, Cold Case files, Gone without a Trace, and home improvement shows. Thank you God for time spent with you and church friends.

Let’s see, it Saturday morning which means I had to make a trip to the Hole in One donut shop for our Saturday morning breakfast sandwich and cinnamon rolls. It nice to have them here at home where we can relax and enjoy them with our coffee. Cheri went to her sewing room and I went over to Donna’s to work. I did get the cabinets hung which was a job, not a whole lot to fasten them too. I had to make a trip to Lowe’s for screws to fasten the cabinets together as the ones I bought before were ¼ inch too short. I was done for the day by 3:00 pm. I didn’t take Lefty in the shower today as I removed the dressing from my leg and Cheri redressed it after my shower. Cheri fixed us chili dogs for supper and cookies for dessert. Later while watching TV I did have a bowl of ice cream, Cheri didn’t have any this evening. We have been watching a new series called 100 Days Wild, about a group of people living in Alaska. We also watched Without a Trace. I couldn’t stay awake to watch all of the NASCAR race, will finish it tomorrow. We had about four or five different rain storms come through. They didn’t last every long but rained really hard. I checked the gauge and received 2 ½ inches.

The guy (Dennis) who I meet most mornings on my walk was at spot where we could walk together and had a nice visit. While Cheri was doing the Friday laundry I went over to a client here in our park that had part of a towel caught in the garbage disposal. It took less than a minute to fix it. I put the wrench in the bottom of the disposal and rocked it back and forth a couple of time and pulled the towel out. They were very happy and had thoughts that they would need a new disposal. When I got home Cheri was baking a batch of chocolate cookies. I was planning to work at Donna’s today but Cheri wanted us to go and get our flu shots. After our shots we were next door to Sun State and decided to stop in and check on when they would be doing our carport extension. They said that they heard back from the architect and now waiting for the building permit. He thought it would be ready by next week. From there we went over to Larry and Denise’s house to check it out and to change the Damp-Rid. It was lunch time when we got home. The recliner felt so good that I spent the rest of the afternoon reading and napping along with Cheri. I did feel guilty not working over to Donna’s but was nice to have a day off. For supper Cheri fixed me the left over ribs and beans for supper and she had an English muffin with peanut butter. It was a normal evening watching stuff we had recorded. Thank you God for a relaxing day and keeping us safe from the virus.

Cheri had me do some online searching for a daily shower cleaner. All stores are sold out and can’t find it anywhere. Well I went to Amazon and found package for $40 plus change. I thought that was a lot of money so did some more searching. When I went back to Amazon the same package was now $42 plus change. I thought that was strange so I left the site and signed in again and now it was $47 plus change. So I left the site again and signed back in and now it was $50 plus change. This was the same vendor each time and never could find it again for $40. Cheri worked on laundry and in her sewing room. I was pretty slow getting around this morning as I didn’t have to be anywhere today. I did get my truck cleaned out from the plumbing project. Had a lot of stuff to get ready for garbage pickup tomorrow. This afternoon I went over to Donna’s to work. I finished up the bathroom and got the cabinet doors rehung on the existing cabinet. I am not happy with my paint job and that is why I don’t paint. Maybe I can do some touch up to make it right. When I got home Lefty and I headed for the shower. Cheri and I did some reading and then watched the Wednesday church service, It the last message on Revelation. Cheri fixed us an omelet with an English muffin for supper. This evening we watch more episodes of Without a Trace and Dateline. Thank you God for a bless day.
Bathroom is done.

The painted cabinets that I am not happy with.

I worked over in Tampa Bay country this morning. I had to repair the water piping into the house. It is at the place where I removed the outside water softener which they no longer wanted. It is in a low spot along the side of the house, it is a spot where the water stands from all the rain. Well I had to bail out about five buckets of water before I could do any digging. I had a mixture of copper and PVC piping to work with. Long story short it took me all day to get done and still have to go back with some dirt and sod. Cheri was out and about today getting some groceries and other things she needed. Cheri wouldn’t let me in the house as I was all dirty and muddy. I took my shoes and socks off and used the water hose to wash off some of the mud before going in the house. So Lefty and I headed for the shower. Once I got to the recliner where Cheri was reading it wasn’t long before I was napping. Cheri had pork chops marinating in a special sauce and fried them up for supper along with some green beans. It was a normal evening of TV watching recorded shows and movies. I did get a call this evening wanting me to install a new microwave and clean out a dryer vent. They are going to let me know when they get the new microwave. Thank you God for keeping us healthy and safe.

New piping installed

Still have to add more dirt and sod.

This is what I looked like when I got home.

I left the house at 7:30 am for my dermatology appointment for my leg. Going to be happy to have the wrap off the leg so I can shower without the bag on my leg. Well has it turned out they put on a new bandage and wrap and have to go back in a week. Which means I continue to use the bag to keep from getting wet. So I named the bag Lefty which should make sure I put it on my left leg. I was back home by 10:00 am. Cheri was busy with her normal Tuesday housework. I change clothes and headed over to Donna’s to work. I got a second coat of paint on the crown molding. Then I installed the base molding in the bathroom. I was back home at noon for lunch and then an appointment a couple of houses away from our place. They are the ones that want to install a new kitchen with me showing them what needs to be removed. I made some cut lines for them to follow and removed the microwave from above the stove and put it on a counter so they can still use it. After all of that I was ready for my shower with Lefty. When I got to the living room Cheri was already in her recliner reading so I joined her with the book I am reading. After a short time we were both napping. Around 4:30 pm I headed over to Lowe’s to pick up a few things I needed for work tomorrow. I stopped at Jersey Mike’s for subs to have for supper. It was normal evening of watching some shows we had recorded. Thank you God for a blessed day and keeping us safe from the virus.

Not a lot happing today. Cheri did her normal Monday housework and started BQ ribs in the crockpot. I started early around 7:30 am cleaning our rain gutters as they had a lot of leaves that were plugging the down spouts. After that I went to work on power washing our driveway. It took me until noon to get it all done. Needed to have a shower before lunch. I finished reading a book titled “The End Times” by Todd Hampson. It is an excellent book and recommend it for everyone. Cheri has now started reading it. I had planned on an outing this afternoon but after getting into the recliner and watching the rest of the NASCAR race that is as far as it went. I napped most of the afternoon and Cheri even had a nap as she didn’t have a good night. We had the ribs for supper that were very good along with some cauliflower in cheese sauce. We have been watching a new summer series call “Expedition to the Edge”. About a group that is trying to sail through the Northwest Passage. Also watched a couple of Hallmark movies. Thank you God for helping us through this day.

It was a normal Sunday morning. My walk, blog, coffee, and breakfast with Cheri. We left the house at 9:20 am heading to Church. Pastor Randy was in Alabama where is daughter lives to do the marriage ceremony for his daughter. So Pastor James presented the message today. It was from Mathew 5:13-16. Believers are the salt and light. Our Sunday school lesson was Titled “God Confronts” from Isaiah 1:10-20. God confronts His people about the consequences of their actions. We got home a little after 1:00 pm. Cheri put the pizza in the oven to have for a late lunch. I slept most of the afternoon while Cheri watched a couple of movies. Then I was awake to watch the movie I Can Only Imagine. We have seen this movie before but it is so good we watched it again and probably again in the future. Then it was time to watch the NASCAR race but couldn’t stay awake to watch the whole race. We had another quick rain come through this evening. Thank you God for time spent with you and church friends.

It must be Saturday as I headed out at 7:00 am to the Hole in One for Cheri’s breakfast sandwich and cinnamon Roll, yes I had one too. I didn’t have any place I had to be this morning so took some extra time with coffee and Bible study. I did take the cabinets over to Donna’s this morning and then a trip to Lowes’s for fasteners to hold the cabinets together and some crown molding for the top of the cabinets. When I got home I thought that we might made a trip to Sam’s Club but found Cheri in her recliner with ice on her ankle. She banged it on the rocking chair when we were making the bed. So we decided that we wouldn’t go as she needed to keep it iced down. So I headed back to Donna’s to put another coat of paint on the cabinet in the laundry room, makes the forth coat. When I got home I headed to the shower to get cleaned up. When I got to the recliner Cheri was reading her novel and I continued reading the book I started a couple weeks ago about End Times. It wasn’t long, Cheri and I were both napping. This evening we had the last of the chicken and dressing with gravy that Cheri had fixed. This evening we watched the Wednesday evening church service. Then an episode of Without a Trace and Dateline. Thank you God for a blessed day keeping us healthy and safe from the virus.

Just a normal morning with two plus mile walk, writing the blog, quiet time with God, coffee, and breakfast with Cheri. She already had the Friday laundry going. The cabinets I ordered for Donna Perkins came yesterday so today I put them together. I did it in the sun room as it was too hot outside to do it. It took all day to get the job done as one of the cabinets had to be cut down to a 12 inch cabinet because I have a space of 60 inches to put them in. As soon as I got them together I quit for the day so tomorrow I have a sun room to clean up. For supper I made a trip to Culver’s to get a fish dinner which Cheri and I split and still had all we wanted. We really like their fish. You wouldn’t think you could get good fish at a fast food place. While I was in the drive through lane it started to rain really hard and felt sorry for the young man that brought our fish out to our car. I checked the gauge and received another inch. This evening we watch another episode of Without a Trace, home improvement shows, and a movie before calling it a night. I managed to get through the day without doing anything stupid. I manage to get the bag on the left leg for my shower which was the right one and not the right leg. I will stop now as I am getting confused. Thank you God for helping us through this day.

Supposed to be cabinets in the boxes

Cabinet number one.

work in progress

Number one done.

I know this is cabinet number three because it is now only a 12 inch cabinet.

Done and ready for install.

Cheri was busy with laundry this morning along with her normal Thursday housework. Then she then took the rest of the day off reading her novel. I was back at the place where I did the flooring. I spent the day installing the quarter round. With so much to install and a lot of cuts to be made it took me all day to finish. It was 3:30 pm when I got home. Couldn’t wait to get in the shower as Cheri said I was really stinky. So I put the bag on my leg as I still have to protect the dressing from getting wet. While in the shower soaping up and looked and I had put the bag on the wrong leg, how stupid. Needless to say the dressing was soak and wet. I guess my mind wasn’t on what I was doing. I hope this isn’t a sign of things to come. I headed to the recliner and was able to get in a nap before supper. We had the rest of the potato salad and brats. We watched some more episodes of Without a Trace, a car show, and a First 48 Hours before calling it a night. Thank you God for a blessed day.

The floor is done.

It was just another day in paradise. I worked on the floor laying project and got done laying the flooring. Still have to install the quarter round which I plan on doing tomorrow. One thing after today I am remembering why I said I am not doing any more floors, too many aches and pains. I also repaired a leaking toilet, had to change out the flapper. It was near 5:00 pm when I got done. Cheri did her Wednesday housework and also some shopping. She is looking for some new clothes but says the stores are really bare and nothing much to pick from. Cheri fixed us potato salad and brats for supper. This evening we watched some home improvement shows which I was able to stay awake to watch. We also watched a couple of episodes of Without a Trace. Around 8:00 pm the doorbell rang and when I went to the door nobody was there. I couldn’t figure out how that was possible. When I looked down there laid the doorbell button on the ground. When I put it up last week I used stick back tape to hold it up as I didn’t feel like putting in the screws at that time. So when it fell off it landed in such a way that it sounded the doorbell, Cheri and I had a good laugh. I guess that was my reminder to do the job right. Thank you God for guiding us through this day.

Another month gone, not sure where August went. Funny how time can fly by on some things and drag by on other things. I managed to get my morning walk, quiet time with God, coffee made, and the blog all done by 6:20 am. At 6:40 am I was out the door heading to Date City for the accountability group breakfast and Bible study, with a stop at Burger King for a breakfast sandwich and coffee. There were only five of us this morning. We are studying Ephesians chapter two. I was back home by 8:45 am and had an appointment at 9:00 am here in our park to install a kitchen floor. Yes I said that I wasn’t going to install any more floors. But was told all I had to do was give their son instructions on how to lay it and do the cutting. Well for the most part that worked ok except when it came to some starting points. We got through the day and things did go well. Hope to finish tomorrow. It was after 4:30 pm when I got home. I had trouble today with the spots where I had the skin cancer removed yesterday. Being on blood thinners I had trouble getting the blood stop from bleeding. Cheri did some additional wrapping of gauze and tape which kept things under control for the rest of the day. Cheri was busy with her Tuesday house work and making a trip to the bank and then to CVS to get some additional bandaging for my arm and leg. Cheri had supper ready when I got out of the shower. After supper we settled in for an evening of movies to watch. I miss all the evening TV, just couldn’t stay awake. Thank you God for a blessed day and keeping us healthy and safe from the virus.

We received a lot of rain again today and had just over two inches. I left the house at 8:30 am for a dermatology appointment in Tampa at the VA. Had some skin cancer taking off of my leg and arm. It was a pretty big spot on my leg and have to leave the bandage on for a week and go back next Tuesday. Cheri worked on normal Monday house work and then spent the rest of the day in her sewing room. She is coming to the end of another quilt project. This afternoon I went over to Donna’s and put the second coat of paint on the cabinet doors and wall in the laundry room. Cheri fixed us chicken with dressing, mashed potatoes, and fresh bake biscuits for supper. This evening we watched shows and movies that we had recorded. Thank you God for a blessed day.
