Gay Sept-16-20

I got to see Dennis on my
walk this morning. But only in passing as our timing was off to walk together.
I had an appointment at 9:00 am in another park for church friends (Jim &
Linda) and Cheri was invited along so she and Linda could visit while I was
working. Although we had a cup of coffee and a visit together before I started
work. Nothing that was hard to do, just honey do jobs. I disconnected the power
to an intercom system that didn’t work anymore and was doing a clicking sound.
I repaired a living room blind, blew out the dryer vent, and fixed garage
lights. It was 11:30 am when we got home. We just finished lunch when the
doorbell rang. Some people just bought the house down the street from us and
had three screw holes in the shed roof. So I went down and sealed them with
silicone. Then I went over to Donna’s to put a second coat of paint on the
crown molding. I cleaned out the laundry room and now is ready for the
flooring. It was getting late in the afternoon and didn’t feel like getting the
saws out to do any flooring. So I headed back home. Cheri had gone out grocery
shopping. After my shower I joined Cheri as she was resting and reading her
novel. I continued reading the novel I started last week and finished it this
afternoon. The name of the book is “Left Behind” by Tim LaHaye. A friend here
in our park gave it to me to read. She said that it was one in a series of 12
books. I went over to her place and told her how much I enjoyed the book and
ask her if it was ok to let Cheri read it. She had all the books in the series
but two and gave them to me as a gift. So when I got home I got on line and
ordered the two missing books. For supper we had the rest of the leftover pork
roast. Cheri fixed it in BQ sauce and had it on toast. This evening we watched
the Wednesday evening church service. We were going to be studying the book of
Daniel but Pastor Randy decided to wait and have a prayer service this evening.
We watched an episode Life below Zero and an episode of Life below Zero the
Next Generation. Thank you God for time spent with church friends today and
keeping us healthy and safe from the virus.
